Ragnar woke up the next morning from his job and he was feeling pretty good today, atleast a good as he normally could. Ragnar took a walk outside of his door, only to step on a piece of paper at his doorway. Looking down at his foot, he saw another envelope, reaching down and pulling it off the bottom of his foot he began to read.

Apparently his request to stop the raid only slowed it down, as they had gathered some people willing to go into the tomb to go looking around. The client now needed him to do something else. Join up with them and get them killed in the tomb. Complete going down the tunnel and meet up with an aid of his before going back and reporting the loss of the raid. So the man had someone at the end of the tomb? Very interesting that fact.

Ragnar sighed and nodded at this before turning around and getting ready. After putting on his full plate blood red armour, and putting his hammer on his hip. He walked out and called his mount and he rode towards the place where they were meeting to start the raid.

Once Ragnar entered the field, he was quickly picked up by four people who wanted him to be apart of their group. They appeared to know enough about Ragnar to know that he would be an asset but not enough about who he was as a person. They seemed to also be well armed and well armoured but they were about as smart as the steel they were wearing. Well that would make this easier, maybe he wouldn't have to kill them himself. He might get lucky and kill them with traps if there was any in the tomb. There were lots of those.

As they entered the tomb, they talked amongst themselves and Ragnar simply stood in the back until the started to reach the tunnels. At which point Ragnar stepped forward and offered to go first into the tunnels to stake it out for them.

They accepted this but then they came to a split in the path, and the group decided to break up into two groups, one of them with Ragnar and the other without. Ragnar's group went down the right tunnel and the other group went down the left. As Ragnar walked down the hall, his eyes were ready ahead of him to watch for what he was doing. It didn't take him long to find the first pressure plate hidden as a stone. As Ragnar walked, he made sure to walk normally but also not before checking if he was safe. Luckily for him the people behind him weren't really paying too much attention to exactly where Ragnar stepped.

Ragnar's first attempt to get someone to step on a trap was successful as one of the men attempted to follow in Ragnar's steps but missed it by one block backwards. Exactly how Ragnar hoped he would be caught out, and the man was caught by a massive gout of flames. The man didn't even get to scream as the fire sucked the oxygen out of his lungs and burned the lining of his lungs before he could make a sound. The fire continued to burn the man until his armor was a cherry red and the only thing left of him was ash and the weight lifted off the pressure plate.

At this point it appeared the the last guy that was in Ragnar's group decided to follow Ragnar's steps far more closely then before, basically standing right behind Ragnar and making sure that he followed every step he made.

Ragnar had to get alittle more creative with this one as he was stepping very close to Ragnar the entire time, so the normal trick that he did before wouldn't work this time. As they stepped forward, Ragnar was not only looking at this feet but also up just in case he saw anything that might look like a trap so if he did trigger it, he would have a much better chance of dodging it. Ragnar smiled inside of his helmet as he looked ahead of him and in the darkness he saw something that looked like a trap door above them along with something that looked like a swinging mechanism. Well this was going to be easier then he thought, as he walked forward his friend being close behind him he looked around for a trigger that was right around where Ragnar expected the trap to happen at.

Once he located it, it was a very simple matter of standing there for a moment. The other adventurer stopped for a moment, and before he could ask what was going on Ragnar pushed the plate with his foot before dropping himself to the ground. The adventurer if he was smarter could have figured out what Ragnar was doing but sadly he was not as the massive steel beam swung down and sent him flying backwards down the tunnel. Ragnar heard other traps trigger as the former adventurers limb corpse went flying back there. Ragnar stood up as the trap reset itself back into the ceiling, and Ragnar continued on. Two down and two to go he thought to himself.

Eventually he came to a merge of both of the paths, only to see that no one was there to meet him. Looking down the hallway, he could see the two bodies of the other two adventurers. Apparently they had triggered a trap of acid and all that was left was a pool of slime and the armor and weapons that were being eaten away.

Ragnar continued down the tunnel, meeting up with the maid at the end. Who gave him his reward, and after that Ragnar went back to the raid organizers and told them the tragic news of the dead adventurers and how he was lucky to make it out alive himself. Maybe next time they would have better luck.
