Ko had been hoping for a contest of physical ability, and it seemed he'd found it.  Immediately upon setting eyes on him, the Minotaur charged at Ko with a bovine roar, axe poised to cleave Ko in two.  Thankfully Ko had his own blade at the ready, and he used it to parry the Minotaurs blow and turn the blade aside, sidestepping so the beast ran past him and into another of the walls.  Nantosuelta moved in to assist, but Ko motioned for her to back off.  The halls were too narrow and restricted to risk them all getting into a messy melee.  

"Is that the best you can do, Moo-moo?  My girlfriend hits harder in bed!"  A blatant lie, but no one ever said you had to be truthful when trying to rile up an opponent.  It certainly seemed to do the job regardless, as the Minotaur mooed in indignation, snorting loudly and spewing steam everywhere.  For half a moment, Ko wondered if this thing was even alive, or if it was some kind of magical construct.  

Their blades crossed a few times in succession, and it was only the Minotaur's relative slowness that allowed for Ko to keep up.  In fact, if it weren't for the quality of his sword, Ko wouldn't be managing even that.  Each of the beast's attacks would have shattered a regular steel sword.  Down the hall, Nantosuelta was watching intently, clearly keeping an eye out for a chance to interrupt or get a decent shot in.  Seeing that, Ko made a gambit.  Throwing in more strength to a parry, Ko threw the Minotaur as off-balance as he could, before firing a blast of dark magic into its hulking chest.

The beast staggered, and at that moment Ko lunged backwards while calling out to Nantosuelta.  "NOW!  LIGHT HIM UP!"  A heart beat passed as Ko heard the intact of breath from down the cooridor, then a second later a stream of white hot flames erupted into view, enveloping the Minotaur entirely while Ko looked on, grinning savagely.

Heat washed over Ko like a tsunami as the flames from Nantosuelta's maw enveloped nearly the entire corridor. If it weren't for the enormous holes in the walls created by the Minotaur, Ko might have easily been caught in the spell as well. As it was, Ko still didn't let down his guard at all. Whatever this Minotaur was, it had been down here for however long this dungeon had existed, ready and willing to kill any intruders. He didn't believe for a second that Nantosuelta's breath was enough to kill it in one fell swoop.

His fears turned out to be well founded, as the smoke and flames hadn't even abated fully before Ko spotted a figure moving within the conflagration. Even with his guard up, Ko wasn't ready for the Minotaur to suddenly charge at him from the cover of the flames. Though the beast's fur was nearly completely burned away and its skin was charged, it plowed right into Ko at full speed. The spellsword was picked up off his feet by the force of the blow, caught in the Minotaur's horns as it slammed him into, and then through, another of the labyrinth's walls.

Ko tumbled through the shards of broken stone, his armor visibly dented and his lungs winded. He silently thanked his foresight in taking the time to invest in new gear. That armor had likely just saved his life. His momentary daze was broken as he heard the crunch of hoof on stone nearby, and Ko instinctively rolled to the side just in time to avoid an axe-blow to the head. Ko was not, however, quick enough to get back to his feet, dazed as he was by the earlier attack and weighed down by his armor. He made it onto one knee just in time to look up and see the Minotaur preparing for another blow.

Then, the labyrinth was suddenly rocked by another quake, this time strong enough to put Ko and the Minotaur off-balance. Before the first quake had even finished, another tremor rumbled through the ground. Ko had a feeling those quakes weren't traps, but someone firing off very impressive spells. Luckily, the quakes were the perfect distraction. Urged on by Ko's precarious position, Nantosuelta had charged forward to close the distance, taking the chance provided by the quakes to bite down on the Minotaur's neck from behind. On her hind legs she was half a meter taller than the Minotaur, but even with her strength she struggled to hold the Minotaur down.

Ko hoped whoever was throwing those spells around was having better luck than he was. He never noticed the light on his bracelet slowly starting to grow in brightness.

She ran fast with Eta who was following up with her. There was only one more minotaur left that was following them. It was like a cat and mouse game to her. If she had to be honest, she enjoyed this. It was a thrill for her to be chased to her death. Maybe it was from her past where she was always chased for execution by the Country of Sin. The poor little Minotaur was almost dead and will be after she was done with him. She wanted to go a little further as her bracelet was even brighter than before. Her body that was engulfed in light was like an aura following her as she then entered a large circular room, but this one had four halls.

It was shaped like a cross positional wise, she was at the bottom one in her point of view. Her head turned about and then just went into the center. She heard motioning from the right hall and then soon enough heard another quake sound coming from the right. Which way should they go? Were they coming to her? Perhaps it was the rest of the group who were on their way. It was them or the other two minotuars.

As he watched Nantosuelta struggling with the Minotaur, her jaws clamped around its neck, Ko forced himself back to his feet. Now was the time to strike. Yet, as he poised to lunge forward, a voice slid past his ears like an oil slick. Insidious and abhorrent, it sent ice down Ko's spine. He heard that voice in his Nightmares, a kind and motherly tone that mocked him with how wrong it was.

Immediately his head snapped back and forth, trying to find where the voice came from. "Who said that!? WHO SAID THAT!!?" The sheer rage that welled up inside Ko was his only way to defy the panic that threatened to consume him. This place had been sealed for centuries; how could something in here know about his Mother? It meant something was in his head, picking at him like a puzzle. "Get out of my head, you hear me!!"

In his angry haze, Ko looked back to the Minotaur, and found that it was finally beginning to gain the upper hand over Nantosuelta. The grin on its bovine face as it force her jaws apart replaced the ice in Ko's spine with scalding fire. Ko let out a guttural scream, a Warcry worthy of a savage orc chieftan, and all the weariness from his wounds left him in a rush. He lunged forward with his blade at the ready, and plunged it right into the Minotaur's midriff, above its belly button.

The monster cried out in pain, losing its grip on Nantosuelta's jaws and allowing them to clamp down on its neck again. But Ko didn't wait for that to kill it; he forced his blade up even further, slicing through the beast's muscle and then pulling the hooked blade free. Blood spilled out by the gallon, splashing across Ko's body and painting the opposite walls and floors. The bull struggled a bit longer, until finally Nantosuelta's jaws sank too deep, and its neck was crushed.

Once the Minotaur fell to the ground, dead, Ko only looked at it for a moment before turning his gaze to his bracelet. Victory hadn't quelled his bloodlust at all. Someone was screwing with him in this dungeon and he was going to find them. Nantosuelta said something, but her words didn't register. Ko turned to walk down a passage that seemed to illuminate the bracelet the most.

After some time, he entered what seemed like an enormous intersection, and standing in the middle of the entire thing was Kurisa. Nearby, he spotted Eta as well. So they were alive. "Where was that voice coming from? Did either of you hear it?" Nantosuelta answered before either of the others had a chance "Ko, what voice are you talking about?" Ko looked at her like he was about to yell at her, but a look of realization came over him. If she hadn't heard it, had there even been a voice?

She stayed there on guard as she was with Eta. She did not really know what Eta could do. This was their first time meeting. She knew for sure that the other minotaur was on their way and the other way she heard more coming, although not from Ko's nor soon-to-be Xandra's direction. Soon enough it seemed to have been just one, but not quite there yet. First, she saw Ko who appeared with their dragon. He wondered if they even heard a voice, but she has not heard anything besides the Minotaurs pissing each other off before she blasted one. Her head tilted questioning, but the dragon-like creature spoke before she could as she too could not hear anything.

Xandra appeared, but nothing was obviously coming her way. She came this way somewhat more relaxed than the others - including herself. Sighing softly she heard and felt the quake of the earth. She grabbed Eta and dashed back as the Minotaur came in running, but stopped in the middle. Even though the Minotaur stopped in the center, the earthquake didn't stop.

The earth underneath where she stood was erupting. "Out of the way!" She yelled at Eta as the other two weren't quite close to the Minotaur. Once she got out and right as Eta escaped it happened...

Once the ground collapses back into place, the minotaur that was once here was annihilated, but at what cost? She spotted a small child-like Minotaur and a giant one who stood next to each other.

"Do you see these fools big brother?" The taller one spoke to him. "They'll learn to not mess with the Brother's territory." The shorter one hit his own chest as if he was provoking the group. The area was about 20meters Diameter and 10 meters tall. It gave everyone some more room than the halls but compared to these two beasts, not by much. Kurisa backed up to stand beside the group as they all gazed at the two bosses. All they needed now was some intense fighting music.

To say that Ko was in a state of distress was an understatement. Anyone else might have just assumed the voice was a figment of his imagination, especially considering no one else had heard it. Ko couldn't let the matter go as easily as that. The events surrounding his Mother's death had never been his fault, nor something he could save her from; it wasn't like he was a doctor that could cure illnesses. His Mother never would have asked him to save her...not unless...

Ko was oblivious to his surroundings until Kurisa cried out for them to get out of the way. Instinctively Ko acted, jumping back from the center of the room alongside Nantosuelta. He definitely hadn't been expecting the floor to suddenly erupt in a shower of broken stone. When the dust finally settled, two more Minotaurs were revealed, and Ko immediately could tell they were different from the one he'd fought before.

They practically radiated strength, more strength than even Nantosuelta could bring to bare. If he engaged either one in a one on one fight he'd be dead after the first exchange. Yet he refused to stay calm. Off-balance and enraged already by the strange voice in his head, Ko practically snarled at the larger of the two Minotaurs. "I'll mess with whoever's territory I want! Nan, turn them to charcoal!"

For as bloodthirsty as Ko was acting, Nantosuelta didn't hesitate at all at his cue. Stepping up and rearing back on her hind legs, Nantosuelta took in a deep breath, flames gathering in her open maw like a bonfire. With a roar, the meter-wide ball of flames shot straight at the Larger brother, ready to explode the moment it made contact.
