Lightning cackles in the air traveling at max spell speed to reach its destination After taking the necessary time to travel lightning will descend on the user's target location shaped like a giant sword blade that covers an 8m diameter area. The lightning blade descended from above and deals A rank damage over its area of effect.

By pointing a hand straight up at the sky or down at the ground the blade can descend directly on top of the caster. This will also damage the caster.

Charge Approved
Lightning Bullet We no longer mention damage types, so you don't have to say piercing damage. Just mention that it does 'spell rank' damage. Also, you cannot cast the spell each post unless the spell is sustained.
Lightning Eruption This spell, as it is, will also cause damage to the user. AoE spells that cover an area, regardless of who is in it, will affect them unless you have fulmination magic.
Aura Approved
Tenraiken Mention that the spell will take the time it needs to travel to the location it will activate in. A magic circle as big as the AoE will indicate the area. Also, if you cast the spell directly on top of yourself, it will cause damage to you as well.
