Height: 5'6

Overall: Standing around 5'6 with medium black hair and dull silver eyes, Masaru is actually a handsome fellow but at the same time he tends to have a rather blank or bored expression on his face most of the time. He has a very good posture about him despite seeming so lazy, his training has made him rather agile and athletic, with rather compact muscles hidden under his clothing. Despite training so hard he has oddly pale skin that's smooth to the touch.

In terms of clothing Masaru wears blue most of the time, be it light blue, a greyish blue or even just blue. He doesn't usually wear armor preferring his hoodie, singlet and jeans at all temperatures. He doesn't have formal wear, instead he just either doesn't attend formal events or shows up in his usual clothing.

Personality


Personality:  Masaru is a young man that's determined to grow stronger and while he isn't against making friends, he tends to be a tad antisocial. He's friendly to those the knows which are usually his fellow Rune Knights, he feels a bit cautious towards those not from the Rune Knights often observing from a far and waiting for something bad to happen. He's not pessimistic by any means but he has had his fair share of misfortune to be cautious of others.

Despite not having a lot of friends he feels he has enough friends and family to back him up and he's willing to do anything for the guild. Masaru's dedication to training leads him to over work himself without much consideration for himself.

Likes:

  • Women: What boy doesn't like women? Well Arata likes them for a different reason, he feels that a woman is the better person to talk to, mainly due to his upbringing had most of the female members of the guild listening to his problems and helping him find solutions.
  • Art: While being able to create art himself, ** enjoys seeing other peoples art and while most art he's used to is hand painted or drawn he really enjoys seeing art made from ones magical abilities.
  • Challenging Fights: Masaru has been known to get a bit carried away with fights but if it's challenging enough he may simply take his excitement too far and not give up until one of the opponents can hardly move.


Dislikes:

  • Hot food: Masaru does like spicy foods but if the spice is too much he can't stand it. He avoids most foods that contain hot chilis or other spices he knows are rather powerful.
  • Lycans: Sark died at the hands of Lycans, therefore Masaru has every right to hate them...at least in his mind he does. This leads to him not hesitating to outright attack or even attempt to kill a Lycan that makes their nature as such apparent.


Motivations:

  • Death of Mentor: The death of his mentor at the hands of a lycan has motivated him to get stronger to fight Lycans and even kill them without mercy.
  • Find love: There's no shortage of love for Masaru among the Rune Knight ranks, they're his family and home, this means he'll protect them as much as he can but he's never actually had a date. All his life he's been focusing on other things besides love and he wants to know what it's like.


Fears:

  • Mantids: Masaru is horrified of mantids, he doesn't remember why or care, all he knows is that they are horrifying and vicious killers of the bug world. Spiders are but mere puppy dogs compared to these green scythe handed horrors!
  • Natural Lightning: Masaru despises lightning to no end, it's loud, burns and it's just outright scary. While lightning mages exist, he's not even phased by them, but natural lightning during a stormy night? He doesn't even dare step outside.


Magic


Magic Name: Earth Magic

Magic Element: Earth

Magic Description:  Basic Earth Magic that allows Masaru to use the earth around him to help him in combat. By making the earth itself move he can boost his speed, however with his more agile moves he can create pillars to create shortcuts or even make fights with other mages easier as if he can't be hit he can wear a person down and go in for the finishing strike. Many defensive options come to Masaru's mind with earth aswell, raising earth to take a hit, create a dome of stone and make it as hard as iron or even a simple buckler type stone shield.

Offenseive spells are rather straight forward with rock pillars and spikes but also throwing rock barrages. Supplementry spells are in plentiful supply too, the potential to detect ore, create temporary tunnels and simply moving earth is available to Masaru.

History


History: A man who cherishes his family, in fact Rune Knights are his family. He was dropped off at the Rune Knights door step at the age of a few weeks at most, wrapped up in an old and worn blanket and seeing as his exact date of birth is unknown his birthday is more or less the day he was found. The Headquarters was his home all his life and naturally he views the Knights as family. His years were mostly filled with chores and tasks from day to day. Soon he wanted to learn how to fight and on his 9th birthday an older man known only as Sark took Masaru under his wing to train him. While he was known for strength, Masaru was better with his speed, this took some adjusting with his teachings but Sark wasn't going to give up.

Masaru's training had usually been from very early in the morning to very late at night. This was before he had any sort of knowledge of his magical talents however and he was training to rely mostly on his training in hand to hand combat as well as his speed to out maneuver opponents. However on his 14th birthday he was ambushed by a Lycan on his way home, as it clawed away at him Sark suddenly appeared to help him. As the old mans armored shoulder collided with the Lycan he picked Masaru up and told him to run. As he ran back to the HQ all he heard was Sarks pained cries and grunts and once he charged through the door in tears shouting how his mentor was in trouble a group of Knights rushed by him to go and assist the old man...only to come back and tell him the bad news.

The closest person he had to a father was now gone, the next few nights he only managed to cry himself to sleep after constantly punching a training dummy. When things seemed to be getting better and he was moving on, he decided to take some time away from the town, a camping trip, some time to himself. A few nights was planned only for a small group of bandits to appear, no more than three. As they demanded his belongings or that he join their group. Before they knew it he had already kicked one straight in the torso, however it only made the group violent as they started to beat him then one of them ran their blade down his arm. This pain was enough to cause something to trigger inside him, he slid away from the group only to punch his fist into the ground and pull out his arm covered in stone and begin to beat the bandits into submission.

He dragged the three back to the HQ and sighed as he passed out from blood loss. Things have mostly gone back to normal since then.

You'll be starting off at D rank add that to your character application, despite not having a guild tattoo as a rune knight please state regardless of that fact the location and the colour of it. Please state the weight. change the fears to ones that are plausible to happen IC at one point or another. That's all for that portion.

Here comes the magic stuff: k I need you to remove the comments that your arm is made out of mana, additionally the comment that it is chaos as it isn't an element this is also because chaos isn't a part of darkness. I also need you to remove any comments about poisons as it isn't something your class allows nor is viable for a basic magic. I need you to also mention how your magic functions for all of your spell types. In this case as an assassin explain how you can use: Self-Buff Speed Spell Price 1x
Supplementary Spell Price 1x
Offensive Spell Price 2x
Self-Buff Strength Spell Price 3x

I need you to mention how your magic functions for all of your spell types. In this case as a Trickster explain how you can use: Offensive Spell Price, 1x Supplementary Spell Price 1x, Self-Buff Speed Spell Price 2x, Defensive Spell Price 2x otherwise expand upon your magic.
