Kaito

Kaito knowing that he needs to keep himself moving as if he stops then it means death of himself or of the the momentum he has been building as he has been doing his very best to keep himself climbing up the ladder of the power levels and he knows that he is getting close to being a bit higher in the rankings and he needs to keep it up and he takes another pest jobs he can't wait to be done in the north as he was getting tired of mining and dealing with rats and deals are too risky for Kaito to really mess with regularly. He heads toward the clients home with hopes that this will just be a simple pest mission and not evolve into some life or death struggle over something petty and not worth the energy that they are wasting to keep it going on. Kaito arrives and he looks up at the clients home and he wonders what they would need help with.

He walked up to the door and he knocked and he figured that this one was going to be a pretty rough one as this place was big so it means that this could be a store cleaning mess or a building clearing mission to get the pests out and not let any of the strange creatures that live there get away with out a good beating and getting closed out of the place that they are over taking again. Kaito hopes it is just again simple and something that can be cleaned up like it was nothing and not a full day of working and getting his ass kicked around by giant rats. Revy looks in the window as the person inside starts to come to answer the door maybe they had given up hope of help coming as the job had seemed to have been sitting on the board for at least a week.

The door opens to a man that looked like he was devoid of any kind of feelings just emptiness staring back out at Kaito and Kaito knows what this means this is going to be a headache this place is the one that is infested and from the mana threads attached to the man it seemed that it was spiders this time and not just rats if there even are rats in the place the man swings his fist at Kaito who blocks the hit and Kaito can feel that the threads are empowering the body that it is puppeteering it would seem from what Kaito can tell that the body is still alive just whatever is in the spiders bite is keeping this man and god knows what else in this house paralyzed and subdued so they can't scream out. Kaito is careful not to kill the person as he fights them and Kaito is trying to figure if he even can sever the threads as they are made of mana they have no physical way to hit them. Kaito guesses a start is defeating the body and homing that the thing can't use it then.

Revy cheers Kaito on as Kaito fights with the body that is being swung around and is attacking at him violently Kaito is trying as hard as he can not to accidently hit anywhere vital to survival and once the body went down Kaito heard something running around up stairs so Kaito ran for the stairs to go and find out what the hell that noise was and as he breaks the sight line of the stairs he saw a huge black leg of the spider swinging in a full sprint down a hall way and Kaito runs around that corner and he is careful as it could be a trap but he needs to find the source of what is going on and why it is going on but he knows those answers will come in time. Giant rats come jumping out at him and he slashes them without a second thought which in the bigger picture Kaito realized was a mistake as it showed the creature that Kaito cared about human lives over these other creatures lives that it had just thrown out at him.

A little girls muffled screams ring out from farther down the hall and Kaito wonders if it was a trick then very pissed off looking dolls came busting out of the room that he had heard the cries from and that was scary as that means there could be a small girl in that room and that is why there was dolls in there but Kaito wouldn't know till he got over there and saw for himself as he fights off the dolls which were armed with weapons and that was very scary he couldn't even lie this was sort of like a nightmare to him and he knocked the dolls away as they slashed and tried to hit him with loose pieces of the thread that seemed to control them and the family here, but Kaito was not going to go down that easy as he had a lot to prove here vs this creature and he gets closer to the room and there was indeed a little girl wrapped up in a cocoon of threads and the spider was in there and did not look pleased with him making it into the room with them.

The girl was begging Kaito not to kill the spider it was just defending itself and that her parents had just spooked them and they are over reacting and she promised that she can calm it down he just has to get her out of the wrapping as it was just trying to defend her and keep her safe and that her father was the one that had put up the request to kill the spider cause he was scared of it and she keeps begging for him not to kill the Spider but Kaito knows that this creature is out of control and has already tried to kill him and it might have done inversible damage to her parents with what ever toxin it is using to keep them immobilized. He realizes that the girl said her parents and he has only seen and fought her father, that means that either her mother is dead or her mother is somewhere else in this house and that is a bit unnerving.   He looked at the girl and he shook his head to her that he can't spare the spider.

Kaito smelled something and moved swiftly just barely dodging getting his head cut off of his shoulders as a woman being controlled by the spider armed with a big sword she was coming for blood and all Kaito could do to start with was just guard himself and not get over whelmed as this woman's movements were different than the males down stairs were so she was probably an actual fighter and the big guy down stairs wasn't. So this woman's muscle memory was helping her keep Kaito on his toes and Kaito wasn't aiming to kill the woman, so he has to figure out how to for a moment at least sever the threads and kill the spider as this amount of control must mean that the spider has a limit as it hadn't started with the woman when he came to the door to the girls room it used dolls something that was light and had less resistance which means the woman's more refined muscles and training has her harder to control and slightly resisting the creature so she is a last resort for the spider.

Kaito thinks he has an Idea and he pulls back his sword and he swings at an angle a slash of arcane energy cuts through the threads having the woman's body falls to the ground and the slash of energy flies into the spider making it fall to the ground and Kaito hurries to the creature and he thrusts his sword into the spider and the creature makes a shriek and wiggles and struggles as Kaito keeps up his assault on the creature slashing as the little screams and starts crying as Kaito finishes off the spider and it seemed that Revy had taking the change to go and get help as medics come into the house and start treating the family and Kaito helps get the little girl loose from the wall setting her down she looks very unhappy with Kaito even though she under stands and Kaito is paid for his work here.
