Story:

Her world torn asunder, Vyra finds herself in a place she never envisioned being again.

Alone.

Worse even, hunted.

The ramifications of her horrid plight in the Northern parts of Fiore having come home, rendering the Demi-Human both a fugitive and outcaste from Blue Pegasus, Vyra has nobody. Nothing to her name.

In desperation, she seeks aid from the most unsavory sources. But in reality, she finds herself amidst a trap of her own making. An impossible choice presented.

Surrender to the Rune Knights and face the punishment owed to her. Or allow herself auctioned off. A trophy for one sick enough to barter with lives like that of bread.

And one in particular who views the Demi-Human as a tool to achieve unnatural power foreign to this world. One who will discard Vyra away once she is done with her.

Objective: Thrown to the unforgiving world once again with the proverbial noose tightening more and more around her neck, Vyra is on her own once again, this time as a wanted woman. With no options available, she turns to a guild whom she has never heard of, unwittingly finding herself a toy for their wicked game, forced in servitude to a member whom views her as an instrument than as a person.

The clock is ticking. The Dead Moon rises soon. And then the noose shall be strung up once and for all.

Summary: With the Rune Knight occupation of Hargeon remains in effect, Vyra finds her window of freedom shrinking with each given day. The task of escaping and evading the constant patrols of the Rune Knights has become routine, but something that cannot be sustained. After another such escape attempt, Vyra has an unlikely encounter with a notorious shady broker who informs the Demi-Human of an unexpected ally. A guild, one that she had not heard of before, that would be able to provide her with a safe retreat out of the city. The only problem is that the location where she can meet them is deep within the poorer parts of the city, no doubt through multiple patrol patterns of Rune Knights. Hopeful despite the great risk, Vyra descends through the dangerous alleyways that are littered with Rune Knights, eventually managing to find the rendezvous location, an abandoned bar that she had seen often times before.

Shady Broker: A known trade broker having been long tied to the criminal underworld within Hargeon. His interests often are tied towards his own personal benefit and seldom does he operate out of a sense of altruism.

Rune Knights (6): Deployed in Hargeon as part of a coordinated effort to apprehend the Demi-Human Vyra Emrakul, these Rune Knights have imposed a prolonged state of lockdown upon the port city, hindering all means of travel both in and out of the region.

Objectives:
  • Create a topic in Hargeon Streets.
  • Forced to masquerade through the streets of Hargeon, Vyra struggles to avoid the constant surveillance of the Rune Knights.
  • Narrowly avoiding them in one such encounter, Vyra encounters an unlikely ally in a shady vendor she had run into in the past.
  • Sympathetic to her plight, the man gives Vyra the name of a guild that he says could potentially get her safe passage out of Hargeon.
  • Though reluctant, Vyra hears the man out, finding out that they have set up a rendezvous point within Hargeon.
  • Vyra then must navigate through the city, being careful to avoid the Rune Knights that are littered throughout the city.
  • After some time, finally she will reach the destination point, a seemingly abandoned bar within the slum area of Hargeon.

Summary: In locating the guild supposedly offering her safe passage out of Hargeon, Oración Seis, Vyra quickly comes to realize it is not as first indicated; the shady broker who pointed her in this direction knowingly led her to a slave auction, one that intends to feature her. Unable to react quickly enough, Vyra is drugged, ensnared and auctioned off to a number of secretive figures as a 'highly desirable prize'. It is not long until the bidding begins and the price starts to hit exceedingly high numbers, it becoming apparently clear that for one woman in particular, she is not to leave without the Demi-Human in her possession. And after a short back and forth between her and another bidder, that desire becomes a reality as she wins the auction for Vyra's ownership.

Shady Broker: A known trade broker having been long tied to the criminal underworld within Hargeon. His interests often are tied towards his own personal benefit and seldom does he operate out of a sense of altruism.

Auctioneer Hailey: A cold woman, having become numb to the plights of those she has sold, or 'cattle' as she has come to view them as. Often involved in high-profile slave auctions, notorious even for her involvement.

Lady in Red: One of many bidders within the Hargeon Slave Auction. Noted as a person of influence within Marigold, the often reclusive woman developed a myth-like reputation as a powerful warlock, one that has ever been proven or disproven.

Shrouded Bidders: Various individuals who for one reason or another feel the need to shroud their identities. Their reasons for being at the Slave Auction vary, but undoubtedly they are nefarious in nature.

Objectives:
  • Create a topic in Hargeon Streets.
  • Exhausted and mentally drained, Vyra enters into the abandoned bar, expecting to find people who will help her escape Hargeon.
  • Though there are people there, it quickly becomes clear that they are not there to provide Vyra with safe passage.
  • In between talks of 'price' and 'merchandise', Vyra realizes something is afoul, but she feels a sharp pain in her backside before she is able to get away. She then falls into a deep, forced sleep.
  • When she awakens, Vyra realizes that she is bound by Magic-suppressant shackles upon a dimly-lit stage along with several other individuals. There is noise behind a red curtain.
  • The curtain is pulled, revealing multiple people adorned in shrouded cloaks, and some otherwise appearing in elegant garb. As a woman begins to list off Vyra and others for sale, the people begin to place bids.
  • When finally it's Vyra's turn to be sold, two people seem intent on buying her. A figure shrouded and an elegant woman adorned in red.
  • Powerless, she is forced to watch and listen as the two figures continually try to outbid one another before eventually the shrouded figure concedes, leaving the woman as the winner of her freedom.
  • As the auction ends, an unseen figure takes hold of the chains binding Vyra, leading her away to her new owner.

Summary: Upon Vyra's purchase, it all seemed like a blur. One moment on stage bound in shackles and cuffs that prevented her from being able to do anything to now being within an impressive estate, one that rivaled the Blue Pegasus Guild Hall; The home of the Red Queen, Katrina Lesterin. Quickly, Vyra comes to realize the situation she's in, the sort of woman whom purchased her. An elegant, yet cruel woman, one who through brutal means enslaved the numerous women serving beneath her. As Vyra is introduced to the world that she is now apart of, she encounters a lone ally, a mysterious woman who goes by the Lady of Thorn, that seems to convey sympathy for Vyra. Despite that, the Demi-Human is further introduced to this new world, and happening to hint that it may not be quite the last stop for her when all is said and done.

Objectives:
  • Create a topic in Marigold.
  • Vyra will awaken from a groggy state of slumber, the exact nature stemming from the conclusion of the previous topic. Though bound, she will no longer be in the makeshift auction house, but rather a regal estate.
  • She will quickly be introduced to the woman who purchased her before, along with a number of female servants.
  • Vyra will make an attempt to rebel against her new situation, but regardless of what she attempts she will immediately be stopped, aggressively pinned to the ground, and physical tormented by one of the Red Lady's handmaidens.
  • Once resigned to her current situation, Vyra will eventually be allowed the freedom to move, although her former tormenter will watch her close.
  • In what feels like a tour, Vyra will be shown a glimpse of what her life is expected to be. Along the way she will encounter a woman that goes by the name of the Lady of Thorns.
  • Speaking briefly to her, Vyra will come to view her as a lone ally, a fortunate thing given how everyone is either indifferent or hostile towards her.
  • When the tour is done, Vyra will be led by the hostile handmaiden to a distant part of the estate, informed that she must prepare for the festivities tonight.

Summary: Vyra comes to finally understand just what her new Master had in mind, as the festivities planned are actually a high-society party. But a party not among people of positive stature, but rather that of various underworld associates. Associates whom Vyra and the rest of the Red Queen's handmaidens must tend to, no matter the request. Unfortunately, Vyra finds herself in the keen fixation of the shady broker who first connected Vyra to Oración Seis and by extension, the Red Queen. Interested in the carnal pleasures with the Demi-Human, he orders her to his guest quarters, which despite as much protest as she could muster, she is forced to comply. However, in a brief moment of herself being in control, Vyra's distress is un-releashed, her wrath put upon the shady broker, several other guests who stumbled upon it, until she is stopped by the Red Queen's main enforcer and she is taken away.

Objectives:
  • Create a topic in Marigold.
  • After a drawn out and exhausting day of being lectured and educated as a servant, Vyra gets a brief respite prior to the engagements of the evening.
  • Vyra will be informed that she is to serve as one of the Red Queen's handmaidens for a private gathering, serving her guests in whatever manner they see fit. In. Any. Manner.
  • On the evening of the gathering, Vyra serves as one of the handmaidens and is routinely accosted, harassed, and debased.
  • Throughout the abuse, at some point the shady broker whom she had first met back in Hargeon will be there and demand that she privately entertain him within his guest quarters.
  • Despite her protests, Vyra is forced to comply and follows him.
  • Once within his quarters though, Vyra is able to engage in a brief moment of free will, at which point her darker persona will come forth.
  • Vyra will attack the shady broker, alongside anyone else whom had happened to arrive at the same time.
  • Once those had been dealt with, the muted head Handmaiden will arrive and restrain Vyra despite her best efforts to fight her off.

Summary: Vyra awakens within a small cell within a dark prison-like system. Through thick bars, she can see multiple other cells, all with women in them, all having gone through various states of torture. From the corner of her eye, she can see the muted Head Lady looking over, a look of contempt in her eye. As she departs, Vyra realizes that her fate will no doubt be like that of these girls, if not worst. In her resignation of hope, an unexpected visitor comes to bring back life into her, the Lady of Thorns. The woman explains that she was invited to finalize the Pact of the Dead God with the Red Queen, with Vyra being the missing piece that would enable such an arrangement. She then conveys something that seems to indicate her knowing of Vyra's current situation, suggesting that she would prefer aligning with her instead. Freeing Vyra from her cell, the Lady in Thorns suggests that Vyra find her prior to the next evening, so that they may talk further. She then departs, leaving Vyra to escape from the Red Queen's personal prison.

Objectives:
  • Create a topic in Marigold.
  • Vyra will awaken in a cell within an old, stone prison. All around her will be other women in similar situations, all locked in cages.
  • While stuck in that cage, Vyra will be visited by the Lady of Thorns.
  • In their discussion, the Demi-Human will be informed of her purpose for being lured in, auctioned off, and what the Red Lady intends to do with her.
  • The Lady of Thorns makes a proposal that may be to Vyra's great benefit, but she must reach her before the next night's evening.
  • Unlocking her cell, the woman does not contribute to Vyra's escape, but suggests that she does, sooner rather than later.
  • Vyra must then escape from the cell, stopping whatever guards may be there to try to stop her.
  • Once all the guards have been eliminated, Vyra will leave the prison and find herself once again within the main estate of the Red Queen.

Summary: Having escaped from the Red Queen's personal dungeon, Vyra finds herself experiencing her first moments of loose freedom since first arriving at the Slave Auction's location in Hargeon. Although tempted to run away, the proposal by the Lady of Thorns remains within her mind, enough so that she reluctantly stays in order to know more. Before that can happen, she comes face to face again with the Head Lady, the handmaiden who had bested her twice before. With her own agency back, Vyra confronts her and whatever backup she may have, eventually giving her an uncontested route to the mysterious woman. Once they meet, the woman explains that her influence with Nacht makes me a far more enticing ally, offering Vyra something, a rotten heart. The Lady in Thorns demands Vyra consume the heart whilst she carries out the ritual, and though she at first protests, eventually the darker persona of Vyra takes control, fulfilling the ritual, binding the Demi-Human to the Pact of the Dead God. In the immediate aftermath of this, Vyra becomes viciously ill, succumbing to the disease immediately. In her unconscious state, the Lady in Thorns tucks her safely in bed, expecting to see her very soon.

Vyra Emrakul: A manifestation of Vyra's darker persona, given form within the realm of her nightmares. Her personality remains consistent with that which always existed, made only worse over time with its increasingly powerful aptitude towards Magic, having long surpassed Vyra's own capabilities.

Objectives:

  • Vyra will once again be in the Red Queen's estate, having just escaped the dungeons below.
  • Rather than running away, she ventures upstairs to find the Lady of Thorns.
  • Before that can happen, she will have a final confrontation with the Head Lady.
  • Once she is dealt with, she will locate the Lady of Thorns.
  • During their discussion, she proposes to Vyra the same deal that would have been offered to the Red Queen, the Pact with the Dead God.
  • Though she wants no part in it, Vyra's darker persona does, and agrees to the arrangement.
  • She is given a rotten heart, presumably of an undead, that she is forced to consume while the Lady of Thorns conducts the ritual.
  • As she finishes consuming the heart, Vyra's darker persona loses its control, while the true Vyra becomes deathly ill.
  • Falling unconscious, she is tended to by the Lady of Thorns who expresses excitement to see her later.

Summary: The Dead Moon is upon Marigold. In a mere few hours, the Red Queen expects to carry out the ritual that she has planned for months now, sacrificed no shortage of people to achieve, and still plan to. Meanwhile, Vyra recovers from having undergone the very ritual the Red Queen seeks to carry out, setting the inevitable confrontation between the two. As the ritual is set to begin, Vyra's disappearance is realized, as well as that of the Head Lady, sparking panic throughout. Confident that Vyra will be found, the Red Queen begins to conduct the ritual all the same, only for nothing to happen. When Vyra finally makes her appearance within the estate's main area where the ritual is taking place, there is something different about her, and it does not take long for the Red Queen to realize what happened. Intent on getting revenge on not just her but also the Lady of Thorns, the Red Queen orders her guards to attack, which prompts the inevitable confrontation. When all is said and done, only Vyra and the Lady of Thorns remain standing, with the Red Queen, her guards, and other guests now deceased. Glad to have seen Vyra in an her unexpected moment of need, the Lady of Thorns wishes Vyra well, saying that she will look forward to their next meeting.

  • After having come afflicted by a horrid sickness, Vyra finally begins to awaken, albeit in a groggy state.
  • The Red Queen has already begun carrying out her ritual, the Lady of Thorns in attendance, and the guards having been deployed to find Vyra.
  • Upon leaving the Lady of Thorns' guest quarters, Vyra will enter the main area of the estate where the ritual is being conducted.
  • When the ritual fails and the Red Queen realizes this, she demands vengeance and orders her guards to attack Vyra and the Lady of Thorns, prompting Vyra to finally get her revenge upon the Red Queen.
  • With the battle ending, only Vyra and the Lady of Thorns are still alive, everyone else having been slain. Thanking Vyra for her aid, the Lady of Thorns expresses her delight at having made the correct choice and says she looks forward to when they eventually meet again.
