Odin †

Odin ran one hand through his hair, ruffling it a bit as he walked through the stalls and games of the evening streets of Oak City, the festival in full bloom and the occasional nod coming his way from those few that recognised him. It was strange, everything about his life was different. There were people who saw him as another guy in the streets, people that had no idea who he was, people that wouldn't treat him differently because of his appearance. He had ignored it for so long, pushed it to one side for years and accepted it as a sacrifice for his power, but now he had it back. Skin, hair, muscles, veins. Blood. He couldn't help himself, tears started streaming down his face. Not from sadness, but from joy. Pure elation at this new life he could have. On top of that he had zero control over his facial expressions, he couldn't hide how he felt because he had spent so long not needing to.

Those that knew who he was were still wary of approaching, even as the former Lich cried to himself. he wasn't showcasing any of his strength, but they still knew who their Lord was. Not Servas Phantasm, that was for sure. Eternal Nightmare protected, cared for and, most importantly, ruled Oak City. And that was just the beginning. With his new looks came new powers, ones he knew he would have to test out sometime soon. But first, there was a festival to enjoy.

Despite all the crying, which only afforded him confused looks from the crowd, and one little girl who even approached him to ask if he was alright, Odin had somewhere to be. He was going to meet Venus at the end of the street. Unfortunately, he hadn't asked which end, which is why he was now power walking in his kimono and sandals, acutely aware that he was very close to running late. And what kind of man would keep a queen waiting?

The citizens of Oak were overjoyed. Never have they been blessed with such beautiful weather. The streets were once again teeming with life, vivacious wit movement and spirited in jollity. Flowers of the season tilted their smiling faces towards the sun while the sunlit clouds drifted across the clear blue sky. Ponds were bathed in a golden hue by the gentle sunlight, the water in it as clear as crystal. What a perfect day for the festival.

Clad in her kimono for the event, Venus looked almost unlike herself today – too feminine compared to her usual wild, provocative side. Her hair styled in a high ponytail adorned with a beautiful hair pin; she was dressed in red, decorated by flower patterns of the season, the kimono hugged her body in all the right places. In a way, she looked simple and still elegant, nonetheless.

Venus had a reason to roam the bustling streets of Oak; the celebration of the festival was held by her guild so naturally, as one of the founder members, the vampire had to make sure that everything was running smoothly. That didn’t mean that she couldn’t dress up and enjoy the festival either, so here she was, basking in the cheers of the audience; adults and children alike. It was almost as though she was seeing all the colours of the town—she’d never seen this gloomy place so bright and buoyant that she could hardly resist smiling to herself.

Of course, that was not the only reason to why she was waiting beneath the cherry blossoms twirling her wagasa umbrella of matching colour to her outfit between her fingers. It would be unlike her to participate an event or a festival without a partner, but it’s been well over a few minutes past the time of their rendezvous that she’d been waiting for the lich – the one and only lich in Fiore, Odin. It was unusual of him to be late for anything in particular albeit, seeing how lively the festival has become, it was well possible that he could’ve gotten lost between the crowds. Meanwhile, she’d conjured all sorts of things she was going to do inside her head to have her fair share of fun at the festival.

Odin †

Full Appearance:

His sandals clapped against the ground as the hybrid strutted through the streets of his city. He wasn't used to wearing these kinds of clothes, fashion had never been one of his strong suits and he had no doubt that, in the not too distant future, he'd be receiving a lot of suggestions from guild mates and patrons alike as to his new wardrobe. A Lich was immutable, unchanging for its entire existence. But Odin, as he was now, was not that. He now had a completely new skillset to utilise. The art of the appearance.

He soon arrived at Venus' location with a few minutes to spare until their suggested time, and of course he spotted her instantly. Very few people in Oak were wearing red, fewer still had hair a brighter shade, and none could surpass the beauty that stood, wagasa in hand, waiting for someone. The only reason the guildmaster was late was because he couldn't help himself. He took a moment, before Venus saw his new form, before her eyes met his and she recognised him. He took a moment to appreciate her.

He had seen her in finery before, of course. During the ball in Stella, Venus had outclassed every other patron with her looks and grace. But that had been different. The regal looks of the ball were as much for the event as it was for the wearer. The festival was different. Venus could have simply worn ordinary clothes and no one would have said a word. But today, dressed with a level of elegance and, dare he say it, vulnerability that Odin had never seen from her before... there could never exist a word as pure as to capture what the wizard lord saw in that moment. It was the closest Odin had ever came to denouncing Morrigan in favour of another goddess.

Ensuring that none of the prior tears still coloured his face, Odin approached his partner with a grin spreading from ear to ear. He couldn't hold back his joy. He knew that, at first glance, he would be ignored by Venus. Perhaps she would even threaten him if he were not to leave but, after giving her the chance to speak first, that voice she had known for years would escape the lips of a face she had never seen before.

"I'm sorry to keep you waiting, my dear. Dinner is on me tonight."

And what a wonderful night they had.
