Ragnar was out and about inside the city of Baska, still there even though his ward appeared to have shoved off somewhere. That was fine, her money at the suite was still good apparently and that is all that really mattered. Ragnar walked around before seeing a man walk right up next to him, giving a glance over Ragnar noticed that it was Mattoro. What the heck was he doing here? Mattoro made a motion and turned down an alley, and Ragnar followed behind him.

Once they were in the alley they began their talk. Apparently he wanted to deal with this himself, but he needed to protect his crew from the authorities, so he found out where Ragnar was staying and followed him until he could get his attention safely. Mattoro needs Ragnar to kill the man, which Ragnar had very little problem with. That is when Mattoro handed him a vial of poison and that is when Ragnar sighed internally. Poisoning?! Look at Ragnar! Do you think he is capable of subtly  doing anything!

Ragnar then got told the rest of the information he would need to deal with this problem. Kalaus was going to be at a pub later tonight, as he apparently went there all the time and the address of said pub. Ragnar looked at this vial before putting it into his pouch and walked off. Ragnar was going to have to do some work here, and that meant reaching back out to the contacts he had made in this city so far.

Ragnar was already fairly well known in the city at this point, and when he went into the shady part of the city everyone knew who he was and what he was capable of. Ragnar went to every bar he knew of, asking around for someone to do a job for him. He needed someone to slip a vial into someone's drink, and he would be there to help cover them if things got hairy.

Eventually he found someone willing to take the job, and Ragnar didn't ask him his name or anything else. He had gotten the approval of the bartender of the seedy bar, so he most likely was good enough to slip something into the mans drink. Once Ragnar and the unnamed man left this bar, they went directly to the pub where they were supposed to meet the target. The place was the kind of place that was high enough for a rich person to have a good time but not so high that middle class couldn't afford it.

They stood around and watched the inside the bar, both parties seperating from each other to make it look like they weren't together. As they waited, they watched people come and go and none of them were the guy that Ragnar was looking for. It wasn't until several hours later that a man came in with a loud noise before making a fuss about needing to drink and it didn't take long for him to get completely drunk.

As the man got drunk he started to buy everyone in the place a drink, boasting near endlessly about how he was some big shot at the mines and how much money that made him. He was trying to pick up girls with this, mostly unsuccessfully, and he could tell there were people who would like to throw him out on the street on his ass but the free drinks were keeping them from doing that exact thing.

Ragnar looked at his 'friend' and made an eye motion that the Mining guy was the target and the man nodded before getting to work. Ragnar watched from a distance but he didn't really see a whole lot but it didn't take long for the guy to walk over to the bar near where the guy was, having left his beer on the bar behind him, and then after a moment walk away and go right out the door. Apparently he did his job and he knew it, and he knew that Ragnar would pay up later for doing the job.

It didn't take long after the man left for the man to take his drink from the bar behind him and then took a drink. Ragnar could tell that the man knew that he was dead as his eyes went wide and he flee on the ground with a loud thud. The man started to foam at the mouth at his lungs started to collaspe. Looks like whatever the poison was, it was effecting the nerves in the man and he was most likely going to die from either choking or his heart stopping finally.

Ragnar didn't really care which happened as he turned and also left the bar, leaving behind money for his tab along with a tip. Once he left he turned and started to walk towards where he was supposed to tell Mattoro what had happened. As Ragnar walked towards the warehouse, he pulled out his wad of money for the assassin and threw it into the nearby alley. A hand came out of the darkness, grabbing the wad of money before retreating back into the darkness.

Assassins were always an... interesting bunch.

Ragnar walked the rest of the way to the warehouse, and after going inside and finding Mattoro. The man was sitting at a desk waiting for Ragnar to come back. Once Ragnar arrived back into his office, he smiled at him as he knew that Ragnar couldn't have come back if he didn't complete the mission.

Ragnar informed him that the job was taken care of, and that he died from a poisoning though it was very public as everyone around most likely knew at this point that he was poisoned given he fell over with foam coming out of his mouth. That didn't seem to bother Mattoro, as he seemed more happy that the man was dead, going so far as to say the man deserved to die. That was an interesting thing, Ragnar had never really seen that side of Mattoro until now, but that side of him was going to come out more and more as time went on. That was a given to Ragnar at this point.
