Debut Performance [Quest: Vyra] Empty Wed Mar 30, 2022 9:33 am

Not a huge difference between her first day within Marigold versus the next. The theater, having contracted out Vyra due to what she could have only assumed to be a mis clarification regarding her association with Blue Pegasus. What she suspected is that they regarded her as a member of the Blue Pegasus Guild, when in reality she was just a guest of theirs. A permanent guest, if she were interested in staying there; the invitation having been given by none other than the guild master herself, Alisa Vollan, but never were she a full-fledged member. It did not seem to matter much to the people of Marigold, or more specifically the people operating within the Marigold Theater, whom viewed her as someone who would be perfect for the wide arrangement of jobs that it seemed that they had needed to be have taken care of over the course of the duration of the latest show they were presenting.

Though she had only taken a few contracts in the past while she had been staying with Blue Pegasus, the job that she had been given here seemed to be a bit odd, if no way else to describe it. There were not a singular role or responsibility that she had been given, instead just the blanket determination that she would be “helping” the Theater in whatever way they needed during the running period of this performance. By itself it seemed simple enough. The first night had only called for her to watch the play and make sure nothing happened, which was easy enough. Admittedly she wondered why it was that they would want to hire her for something like that, but it meant that she was getting free room, board, and the chance to watch all of these shows for free, so who was she to argue with something like that?

The job that came following though gave Vyra pause as it seemed completely out of left field by comparison. Performing within the next night’s performance as one of the main cast members. It did not seem like something that the job would have called for, but as they explained to Vyra, with the job that she had agreed, things even like performing in the wake of actors and actresses’ unreliability was something that fell within that threshold. Though worried, they spoke confidently of their feelings to her success, but her being cast as one of the male actor roles certainly did little for her own confidence towards it. But, as the curtains rose on the second night, Vyra was stunned to find that she had done well enough by their standards and even more surprisingly, by the crowd’s standards too. She knew she wasn’t a natural actor, in no sense of the word. But, she could not help but find herself glowing as she heard the claps and the applause of the crowd before her, and even those of the compliments of those backstage. It left her excited, thrilled even. And while yes, it were not something she had at first expected to be doing when she arrived, Vyra couldn’t say that she was unhappy about it.
