Kazimir Seiryu
Kazimir flew down the side of the mountain. The wind whipped across his face. The griffon angled its head down and narrowed its wings, to dive-bomb faster and faster. Kazimir changed the wind around the two, reducing the drag on them so they flew even faster. The griffon veered to the left and swooped down, seeing the eastern arbiter imposter riding a horse down the path of the mountain and toward the city.

The arbiter galloped on horseback with one hand on the reins and the other held behind him. The arbiter peered over his shoulder at the approaching wind mage. Kazimir glared back and spurred the griffon further. The duo rushed down between the trees. Leaves scattered into the wind. Fury beat with the wings of the griffon. Kazimir rose a hand. Wind gathered around his palm. It was slow but burst into raging winds in an instant. The tornado was forming.

“Kazimir…The Rising Tempest,” The arbiter yelled back against the roaring of the wind. “It has been a long time and your rage still dwells in your soul.”

Kazimir Seiryu
The wind mage launched a tornado at the arbiter. The eastern wind warrior didn’t move. The tornado slammed into the horse and the man. The horse was launched and hit a tree. The arbiter tumbled to the ground. Dirt and dust flung around him. Kazimir circled the air, ready to call down a finishing blow. The arbiter stood up from the dust and patted off his shoulders.
“Kazimir…can you not feel the presence..of…” The man spoke but before he could finish his sentence, Kazimir saw the divine light leak from the small wounds of the fall. Pain riddled the wind mage’s chest. The old wound he had almost forgotten about. The stab wound from…

Kazimir’s eyes locked onto the arbiter. His now beating heart hammered against his chest. “It can’t be…We cast you all out?”

“I remained…connected to you. And now you will feel...WRATH,” The arbiter spoke with divine clarity. The mortal flesh burned away and beneath was a being of angelic stature. A large greatsword in one hand and wings of flame and wrath.

Tree bark burned off from the nearby woods. Leaves crinkled into ash with the Seraphim’s awakening into his true form. One of the last remnants of Kazimir’s past. The wind mage’s hands trembled on the back of his griffon. The seraphim Raged forward with flames wreathing around his blade. Before Kaz could move, the angel swiped his sword. Waves of fire splashed from all directions and engulfed the mage. The mage spun down towards the ground. The griffon flapped frantically trying to douse the flames. The angel flew beside them as fast as the wind mage and delivered a powerful sword swing. The blade ripped into Kazimir’s body. He was launched from the griffon and battered into the trees below. The griffon landed with a thud in a nearby grove.

“You gave up grace. So now I’ll finish taking everything from you,” The angel spoke and flew down toward the city.

White breath left the mage’s mouth as he laid on his back. Blood dribbled from his side. “Ugh,” he groaned, pulling himself up against a tree. “How could it be,” he questioned as confusion and anger was all he felt. Now he had to stop this angel…was he even strong enough.

“I have no choice,” he shook his head and pulled himself up to his feet. Water magic conjured forth and put out the flames. He directed a small geyser of water to the griffon and put out the embers around his friend. “Rest easy Griffon. I’ll return.”

Kazimir held his ribs and walked down the path to the town. Suddenly everything felt so cold and uninviting. His hand brushed the burnt bark of the trees. It was the same that day so long ago. He was beaten and bloody by the angel. Forced into a pact with it alongside Aki. It was a shame she was no longer here. But he would fight for her, and for himself. “It ends tonight.” He glared down the path. The wolven howl gripped his soul. The roar of the tiger vibrated his being.”I’m gonna make you pay,” Kazimir stumbled down the path. Every step filled him with more anger. Vengeance that pushed the pain of his injuries to the back of his mind.

He stood taller and taller, until he was running down the mountain path. His feet got lighter and lighter. He pushed off the ground and was airborne. He flew down the path just as the angel had taken off to do. Blood dripped from his ribs but he ignored it. He unfurled a piece of paper with the names of the constellations on them. Given to him just before he left the arena.

The mage landed in the city. Fallen Ones scouted the streets and stood on rooftops. Kazimir wrapped himself in darkness and snuck in. A fallen one turned a corner and Kaz pressed his back against the wall of a building, staying hidden from sight and silent. The ghostly figure passed by him. Once it was clear, the wind mage ducked around the corner and snuck forward.

One building was guarded more than the others. Eight Fallen Ones guarded the structure.

Kazimir Seiryu
Kazimir flew slowly upward and hovered next to a window. He eased the window open and slipped inside. A dirty hallway led to a stairwell, to the first floor. He could smell the presence of seven people. A few of them vibrated the wind so He pin pointed their location. The mage tiptoed down the steps. Seven people of various ages sat in a circle. The room was dark and damp. Only one door led to the outside.

Kazimir became visible. The group gasped and scooted away. The eldest stood in front. Kazimir rose his hand to calm them down. “I’m here to get you out,” He said, and a mammoth claw swiped his side and hurled the mage through a wall. He rolled on the ground and smacked into another wall. Ruble fell around him.

A monster stood up as tall as the building and broke the roof apart. Lightning gave it armor and claws. The beast flew into the air and slammed its fist into the air.

It collided as if the air was made of something solid. A ripple sent the wind mage through a building. Kazimir took to the air. The beast lumbered through the air and slammed its fist again. A wave of power struck the mage and knocked him through another building. Kazimir whipped the blood from his lips. His hands stiffened. The mage kicked off the ground and rocketed toward the enemy. The beast slammed against the air once more. Kaz’s eye nullified the shockwave. The beast looked at its hands confused. Kaz dashed between the beings massive strikes that sent shockwaves through the air. The wind mage bounced from one point to the next, kicking off the air and ripping wind blades into the Monster’s body. One limb fell and then the next. The beast swing its arms and a shockwave knocked back Kazimir. As he fumbled backward though the air, kazimir kicked his foot and sent a funnel of wind at the beast’s head, that blew it off its’ shoulders. The beast turned to a wisp and lightning flashed away into the heavens.

Kazimir landed on the ground. The seven constellations rushed to his side. One looped their arm under his to help him walk and they snuck through the city in alleyways.
