Kaito

Kai is out for a walk away from the mad house that his house has become with Revy comes across a group of people gathered around a small cavern opening near the base of a mountain with rune knights guarding the opening. He wonders what the big deal is with the cavern that they have to be stopping people from going inside. He guess maybe it might be unstable inside, out the corner of his eye he sees a man waving him to come closer, Kai slides his hand from his sleeve with a hand sign as he gets closer to the man. There is a woman in a nearby tree she is wearing a cloak of jet black with thin white lines on it with a mask hiding her face in the shape of a black rabbit with a crescent moon shape on the forehead of the mask watching in case of trouble.

Kaito

There is another cloaked figure in the crowd watching their cloak is a dark purple with pink petaled symbols on it their mask is a black crow mask with the eyes outlined in red. The man begins speaking to Kai, he begins speaking of rumors about the cavern and the things it may hold but he can't get in as the rune knights will not allow anyone to enter the cavern, he tells Kai that he wants to know if their is a rare metal in the cavern to make his weapons and armor from and will pay him to find out for him. Kai agrees but asks what he is looking for so he will know it when he sees it, the man describes the metal Kai is to look for as a solid blue rock, that has a natural glowing effect to it almost like a fabled etherian substance.

Kaito

He walks off from the man and he makes another signal with his hands, the smaller figure in the rabbit mask is to his side so fast it is more like she appeared there, the man in the dark purple cloak and crow mask gracefully walks over and takes his spot. Kai asks if they are okay with following him into the cavern, both agree to his request. Kai causes a distraction to lure the guards gaze away from his team entering then he disappears into the crowd then slips into the cavern seeing it is very dark he tells the other two to be careful and to follow his orders if they want to stay safe. He taps the side of his temple activating his thermal vision and he gives them orders to help them avoid getting hurt or maybe falling into a small hole on the side of the path.

They come to blocked off path ways and Kai has Revy help the man clear one as he give the rabbit masked girl instructions to help him so they lower the risk of someone getting hurt by the stones as they clear some paths so they are not gonna start off with someone breaking their foot or their hand. once they get it cleared they follow the path for a bit longer and end up in a larger room with a pillar of light in the center with a massive hole in the floor of the room. Kai walks over and looks down into the hole, it just looks like an abyss of pure blackness. He looks around the room walking around the hole and he faintly sees there are three openings to paths to the side of it. He looks to them and says they will just have to test all three one by one so they keep safe in numbers cause they have no idea if there might be guards in here with them.

He was not gonna risk them having to fight guards without him to take the fall for them to get away. He tells them to stay close and not to be loud in case they are not down here alone cause the guards were guarding this cavern for some reason, rather it be to hide something or to protect the populace from something in here he was unsure of. The first path leads them for a small bit then stops in a dead end he has them turn around and they go back to the beginning then he leads them down the second which seems to go on for a pretty fair distance Kai thinking this must be the right path but alas it ends in a dead end. He signs then tells them that it is another dead end the woman sounds like she is agitated at this turn of events, he gets them back to the start after some time.

He leads them into the third path, and he feels them all grab onto the back of his cloak, he figures the darkness must be getting to them because at this point they had been in near total darkness for the better part of two hours. He doesn't blame them for needing to be guided truth be told he has a slight fear of complete darkness, not so much the darkness but what could be hidden in it. The path comes to what he thinks at first is a dead end but he touches it and realizes it is an unsafely blocked path he has them back up then he starts clearing it slowly and carefully, so not to cause a collapse. Once it is cleared he gently places his cloak into their hands so they can keep following him with it and if he sees a danger he tells them how to avoid it and he feels they are making good time.

They come out into a room with a faint glow coming from up ahead with a very small amount of what the man was looking for he leads them closer so they can see it and make sure for him, because with his thermal vision active he can't tell the color of the stone or if it fits to what the man had requested them to look for, the woman tells him it is the very thing they had been sent in for. He lets them sit for a small amount of time to rest cause he as well needed to rest, he turns off his thermal vision and looks upon the stone as well and he thinks it looks pretty, but he wonders if the stuff might be dangerous if he is to tell the man it is here. He figures it can't be that unsafe to let him know about it.

He takes a deep breath then gets back to his feet and he turns his thermal vision back on and he helps the others back to their feet and he starts leading them again and making small talk to try and help them stay relaxed and not get to upset or feel they are in danger he gets them back onto the path they had taken from the larger room to get here and when he runs out of ideas he can talk about he starts humming a elven hymn his master use to sing to him, it seems to dance along the walls as they walk putting them at ease for the time being and Kai knows he hasn't seen any sight of heat from anyone else being here but them, and he knows they are still deep enough underground that the guards at the front won't hear it yet.

Kai is keeping them on the same track as when they had come down because he an still see a faint heat trail from when they came down and he had touched the walls to mark the way knowing this place could end up being a huge maze to get back out of if they weren't careful, they hold onto him trusting he knows where he is going and are enjoying the hymn he is humming to keep them calm but they wonder where that tune was from. When they ask he tells them that his master use to sing it to him at night back when she had first saved him from his fate as a lab rat. Revy knows remembering that must hurt him as they get back to the last tunnel he reminds them to keep their voices down and they need to be careful to not get seen, Kai has Revy get to the mouth of the cavern and make a signal and a tall woman in a bear mask with a sun on the forehead and in a dark green cloak has the crowd cause a distraction for them and they all get out while the new crowd distracts them, then they head for where the man had said to meet up with him, the girl returns to the shadows and the man falls back and works as a tail for Kai in case he comes into need. Kai walks in and he tells the man they did indeed fine it but it was very limited amount the man is over the moon about hearing it and Pays Kai swiftly, then Kai leaves taking his team with him.
