This was the last event for her guild, or at least this was the last set of events. Tempris was not sure how many more things she was going to partake in. Some of these things were… interesting, but it felt weird. She just did not feel like she belonged with the people around her. Be it the age difference, the difference in belief, the difference in morals, or even simply the difference in family, there were things building walls around her and making it really hard to mingle like pringles. Worst, they were all sinners and she was banned from helping them. It would hurt, people complained. It would be bad. The only bad thing Tempris could see was letting these people suffer. It was so horrible. It was so cruel.

Nevertheless, here she was among sinners and she was supposed to have a good time. So she did her best to smile when asked. She followed the instructions she was given. She was suppose to wear something she could run in. It was strongly urged that she not wear a dress. So Tempris had on a sleeveless top, but opted to still wear her veil with the gold band over her forehead.

She had on a short skirt that barely went to her thighs and longer tight shorts that came just below her knees. Her outfit was red with orange decoration and her skirt was orange. Her shorts however were more golden. Her boots were just brown but they had gold laces. It was a bit bright than her normal wear but today was suppose to be a festival like event. She remembered the last festival she attended, the one she created with Fala. She wished she had wore an outfit like this when she attended. This was all thanks to her magical incredibly useful key. She was at least happy she ordered such an item.

The girl was guided to a road before being pulled out. Tempris was confused when the attended said that they did not want her to get hurt because she was a kid or something stupid. Tempris protested saying that she was just as good as anyone, plus she was not just a normal person. She was a powerful and respected… or at least partially feared at least. At least, that's what she told herself. Then she stormed off to the spot only, it was too late.

As she reached the wooden barrier keeping her away from the rest of the participants, she watched as all of them ran from a herd of angry bulls.

She did not expect the event to be people running from pulls. That seemed a bit… extreme. Not only that, none of them were fighting. Like who would want to run from bulls and not defend their selves. It was blasphemy. Though she was happy that fate intervened. This was definitely something she did not want to partake in. Still, she watched if only to say she was there if her guild master ever inquired about the event. Surely she would be find with Tempris not actually running away from any bulls. It was an opt in system right? Though, she did wonder if anyone would try and use this to bully her and say she was too afraid. The girl clasped her hands and prayed that she would not have to deal with that in the future.

As she watched, from the side lines, she saw that nobody was getting hurt. It was good, she did not want to see people die by the stampeding bulls. However it was clear some of the people were not fast enough to outrun the animal.

It was truly sad, sad enough that the girl just stopped watching. There was supposed to be another event, one that involved fighting. Tempris was sure to partake in that one for sure.

It was time, they gave the girl a red cloth which she remembered reading about before the event started. Waving the flag pissed off the bull and made it charge her. She needed to make the bull angry and charge the flag a few times before just slaying it. She was sure she could do it, but she did become a little nervous when she was told she could not bring her sword. They gave her a much smaller, less fiery one. It was a little disappointing but she played along. After all, if she decides she had enough of the event. She will just purify the bull. Attacking her was a sin after all. At least, it would be a sin today

The crowd was static, fired up from watching the running of the bulls. They were ready to watch some genuine bull fighting cheering for whatever name was read off. When it was time for Tempris’s name to be announced the crowd was amped up from the last performance.

It seemed nothing could calm down their excitement. Once her name was called, the girl walked into the middle of the ring and the crowd died into whispers. There was no booing or at least signs of disappointment. No, it was more of confusion. Nobody expected a child to be participating, especially since they were not seen in the running of the bulls. The announcer picked up the sign and started comforting the crowd. He mentioned that Tempris was a member of the guild hosting all of this and a powerful mage at that. Then he made a short pun or two which brought the crowd's spirit back up. Tempris however just stood there annoyed waiting for him to finish.

The girl stood quietly waiting for the door to the bull pin to open up. The crowd gasped as the announcer built up a narrative for the bull. Random numbers about how dangerous and the many people it could kill if it was set free. He even gave it a backstory saying how it was trying to stampede a nearby forest and it would continue to stampede if some hero does not stop it. It was up to this small girl to save the land and defeat this terrible creature of rampage and stampede.

The bull let out a cry and walked into the ring as the large black metal gate was lifted slowly. The crowd cheered on the girl. Then it sized the girl up and started walking along the other edge. Tempris let out a sigh and then started holding her flag and the bull took notice. She expected the creature to kick the ground before charging but no. It just ran at her. The crowd gasped again. Tempris held out the flag steadily and when the bull reached her, she waved the flag and spun and the bull passed her. Only, it was a little close and she ended up falling down. It was a little unsettling having such a large creature run past her. The announcer spoke out the details, questioning if the girl would survive this encounter with this performance.

Luckily for her, she was given a chance to stand up and get her foot stabled. She held out the flag and started waving it. The bull charged her again but instead of spinning around she dived out the way. The crowd cheered the girl, if not to give her hope. The life a young girl was more important to the show though they seem to still like the performance.

It was exciting to see someone struggle. Her nervousness got the better of her. She felt like if she was going to fall, she should fall on her own terms. It was less embarrassing that way. She tucked her head in and rolled, springing back up to her feet with the flag in hand. Then she held out the flag again and, once again, waved it in front of the bull. As predicted the bull charged the girl and the girl pulled the flag away at the last second and half spun instead of completely spinning around. This saved her footing and she did not fall and the crowd… went wild. The announcer was having a field day explaining how the girl was a quick learner and was just warming up to this devastating villain of a bull. Now that the girl had her footing he questioned the crowd on what she should do next. So the crowd cheered for more action. Then the announcer spoke to the girl, asking if she would give them what they wanted.

The girl huffed, not wanting to be controlled or ordered by a bunch of sinners. But, she raised her sword in response before sheathing it.

The crowd exploded with cheer, signaling the girl to act. The bull charged her and the girl held out her red cloth. She then waved it in front of the bull’s face so that it would catch on the bull’s horns. The bull tried to rip through the cloth but ended up becoming an anchor point so that the girl could swing forward. She used her momentum to jump and land on the bull’s back. Then she pulled the cloth back and used them like reigns.

There were gasp, awes, and a thunder of applause. Nobody expected this level of a performance. Surely Empyrean Divine mages were a site to behold. The announcer thought so as he mentioned that they did not plan to show any bull riding. He wondered if the girl bit off more than she could chew. Tempris pulled the cape forgetting her vast strength and the pull roared while standing up on its hind legs. The girl then loosen her pull so the bull would go back down. She could not kill it that way. It would be too boring right? She was supposed to use her sword though she did not really like the blood.

Maybe she would have to think of another way to deal with the creature.

Only suddenly the bull bucked and the girl went into the air. If she did not have her hands on the cloth, then she would of surely flew off. Sadily, her lack of weight was not helping her stay on the creature. It continued to buck and run sending the girl up and down till she was force to let go and was tossed onto the ground. The crowd gasped. The announcer teased that the girl could be out of the fight. The evil bull might have bested the hero. What would they do if she did not get back up. The girl did get back up, rubbing the dirt off her outfit. Such heresy, this bull really pissed her off.

So she roared at the bull. The bull did not respond at first as it shook the cloth off. Once it freed itself of that nuisance, he found the girl and then kicked the sand. Then it charged forward with its horns down. It was going to skewer the girl, if it could. But well, Tempris was not a normal little girl. She grabbed the bull by the horns… literally. The bull slowed down to a halt pushing after pushing the girl 3 meters back. Dust clouds filled the area. The crowd gasped. The announcer was unsure what happened but decided to cheer on the girl. The crowd joined in on the cheering. As the smoke cleared, everyone saw the girl pulled the bull’s head down to the ground, rubbing its face in the dirt. The girl then jerked the creature to the side, turning it on its back. The bull cried but Tempris did not care. She was angry with the creature and would quiet it with her own hands. It was going to be bloodless but that was okay. She snapped its neck and then stood up. The creature was not moving. The crowd was silent for a moment. Then they roared their cheers. Her bull fight was a success and everyone loved it. Now it was time for her to get cleaned up.
