In the beginning of the morning, Noels horse Mustang was seen hitched to a rail just outside the entrance of the Marigold City library. Whether it had been an early morning for him, or a late night remained up for debate. The library was quite empty since his arrival, the scholars caught wind of his reputation and decided not to stay around. The interior of this place was quite royal, as sturdy high quality wood made the interior cozy and warm. He sat on a table, cross legged with a myriad of open books around him. After a moment of concentration, his eyes dozed off - waking up several hours later in a somewhat panic.

Akin to a sensation of falling in ones dreams, he'd shuffle his body and jump up slightly. After swathing the books away from himself, he'd loudly yawn and calm down realizing he was fine. Noel begun looking around to see if there was a clock he could tell the time from. He was being somewhat obnoxiously loud for a library, but alas - it was still empty other than himself. The lit candles across the place made all surfaces around visible. More than likely his nose would detect if someone came close. Noel was dressed in his semi casual attire. That meant no armor, but his usual accessories and weapon were equipped.

He'd have occupied this space for quite a while now, cracking his neck and sitting upright - the male concentrated mana to his hands.

Raising both hands upwards, with his palm facing the ceiling - all the surrounding books came to ascend from the table due to a shift in gravitational properties induced by his Wingardium Leviosa. He'd try to up the ante a little, and try to put all twenty books back in their place in one smooth motion. Just as he begun to position his hands in the correct manner to achieve such feat, he'd hear the doors of the library loudly open, causing him to halt for a moment before succeeding in returning the books to their original location in one motion. "Alright, alright, I was about to leave!" He'd yell towards the shadow at the door, who he assumed was the library owner or some form of authoritative figure. While the doors opened, he'd hear a reaction from a huge crowd. This time the media reaction was a bit more... proportionate. What the hell was going on? Various flashes went off at once as the doors opened.

To say the least, the early morning wouldn’t have been unpleasant. The sun could have settled nicely on the corners of the neighbourhood houses and the clouds drifted across the blue yonder in lazy puffs, endearing her enthusiasm to continue her lovely early walk. Birds would be glorified shadows amongst the sunrise as they flew overhead and the songs of the new day would be the comforting silence of a still sleeping city.

But then it wasn’t, dawn had long since passed and it didn’t go as pleasantly as she originally thought. The young woman woke up with a migraine to spare and with the rack of bounty on her head, she could no longer go out of her abode without concealing herself from head to toe. So, here she was, muddled through the crowd clad in a black velvet cloak that shielded her identity from being exposed, unknowing of what to pursue first and how to deal with the day when she was still so hung up with how far she’s been thrown off her primary objective, which was to find her lover.

The swordswoman had her eyes on the sky, and she fears it’s now an impulsive habit of hers to commit to the clouds when she had nothing on her mind. Distracted as she was, Venus failed to notice a stranger running straight into her with such force that almost made her stumble over and fall flat on her buttocks. Despite him being completely oblivious to where he was going, the stranger even had the audacity to walk past her as though nothing happened. A vein popped onto her temple.

”Watch where you’re fucking going.” She snapped at the stranger and he spun around in response with arrogance in eyes as if he was going to rage at the woman for standing in his path. It wasn’t until the features of his face immediately turned into shock and perhaps astonishment when he recognized her.

”…I know you.” He paused, examining her features carefully. ”The magic games…and the bounty,” His finger pointed in the direction of the oaken board in a short distance that had the most important flyers pinned up.

Venus was so enraged by the stranger that she’d failed to realise that her cover had blown completely and of course, her appearance and her cherry wine hair stood out like a sore thumb and people whispered among themselves as she quickly pulled the hood back up again. ”Fuck,” she cursed in dismay and without a moment of delay, the hunter darted off with her hand clutching onto her weapon in case she needed to fend for herself, but she was quickly surprised by how fast the word spread. The next moment she’d already garnered attention from the media.

How did they get here so fast? Were they waiting for someone to show up?

Whatever the reason was, she certainly did not want to be a part of this mess and especially not be the center of attention in the middle of nowhere. So, she ran. She ran to the nearest building she could find and figured that she would hole herself inside the place until they went away. ”Ugh.” She took a moment to catch a breather and raised an arm, like a leverage of sorts as she leaned close to the large oaken doors. The fiery woman turned to see where she was only to discover that she ended up at the best place she could’ve ever asked for; the library.

Venus caught someone yelling over the distance, unable to make out the words clearly but the voice – it was one that she had been wanting to hear for a while. The woman approached closer to the source of the sound and she could tell it was him from a distance: she could identify him even from the back of his head. The urge to be in his grasp screamed within her as she sauntered towards his direction, a devious smile crawling onto her lips and if Noel were to say something to her in the midst of it, she’d disregard all of his words. Instead she’d pull him by the collar of his shirt so that his lips could finally meet hers once again.

”I’ve finally found you.”

Noel picked up his jacket from the ground and began dusting it off as the shadow that appeared in the entrance was starting to make its way down to him. From what he could see, the door begun to be closed as the stranger had entered. His initial thought was that a bounty hunter had finally come for him. Though with the door closing, it illuminated this figure to the point of recognition. Stood amidst a couple of tables, Noel had thrown up a bad Kung Fu stance, lowering it by the second as the figure he recognized as Venus had casually wandered into his life once more. His jacket once again dropped. "Hey-" He'd be able to mutter out, before Venus was close enough to pull his collar downwards so their heads could meet. Placing his hand on her cheek at the same time, kissing her with passion. "Good to see you again, tulip." He'd say, parting his head from hers for a moment, dropping his hand from her face to pull her into a full embrace. Truth was, Noel felt the way she looked at him was like seeing a freshly baked muffin at breakfast with a cup of hot chocolate, and while he admired her the same way no doubt - this wasn't the most of opportune of times he thought.

"What have you been -" Before he could finish his sentence, loud banging on the doors of the library could be heard. Noel idly stared towards the general direction of this door, as not a second later it came bursting down. He'd let go of Venus as a large stack of media people who had climbed on top of each other to try and peek through the windows came collapsing down, pouring into the library. Some of them capturing photographs of the romantic embrace. "Nanikore, actual paparaz-"  Noel hadn't mentally prepared for moments such as these, the urge to hit them in the face starting rising within him as he was once more interrupted by a question and a thousand light flashes from the cameras. "Are the rumors true!? Has the holed up wizard been defeated by the evil witch?" They all paused a moment, as if either Noel or Venus was obligated to say something. His fury was rising, and his primal instincts begun kicking in. Covering his eyes with one arm due to all of the ongoing flashing, he began planning an escape with the least amount of injuries possible.

Choosing a spot on the ceiling of the library, he'd detonate a spell within his arsenal named Smokescreen. An old library such as this was the perfect target of this spell, as many of the various dust particles that had been gathered up begun activating near the ceiling. A magic circle indicated the location, and Noel subtly punching the air towards this location set this spell up to dusting the entire place up, and creating a thick cloud of cover. He'd take the hand off Venus without permission, and nudge her his way - leading to a hall that had an alternative exit to the outside. While rushing out of the place, he'd freely talk once they were out of the spotlight. "Have you been starring in any movies lately? Bakayaro. There's an exit this way." He sassily led her to the emergency exit.

Truth of the matter was, word had gotten out that an evil mage had been holed up in the library for many hours, with librarians having attempted negotiations but having failed in doing so (due to him being asleep of course).

He'd crack the door open a little bit, to peek out with one eye curiously. From every direction he could see, some person with a camera was approaching. Some 'tough' guys were also assembling. He'd close the door and turn to Venus, assuming she was still around. Fumbling his ring, he had concocted a plan to get them out of here. "Put your hood on again, I'll change into a Raven and caw-caw from the street once it's safe. I'll sit on your shoulder -- we should head to a fishing store." He had ulterior motives for going to such a place, ones he'd keep from Venus from time being. Noel opened the door slightly once more, making a crack big enough for a raven to fit through. He'd tap his ring twice from the inside, and  walk out as a Raven. A puff of white smoke rose from the bottom of the door as the raven set out from the library. He'd flap his wings, and lift off to the street level. Aside from one person still crossing, it was quite safe. He'd caw-caw as promised, and prepared to land on the shoulders of Venus.

Worn, rustic and yet warm, the exterior held itself well-aged, welcoming, yet it felt so forgotten, or at least, quiet. Housed in that tiny, cloistered space was a melody that the library branded its own – the soft flip of pages and the flop of books from cover to cover, her heels scratching against the carpet, making idle taps atop the wooden floorboards, and thick silence that organized the blend of elements far too nicely for her own good.

Despite the time of day that permitted sunshine, the library’s small windows would cast both the slightest of light sources and thick, comforting shadows to compliment the scenic atmosphere. The cloak that she adorned so dearly atop her shoulders, caked in all of the journey’s dust. For in the short moment she’d been there, the Siren was already considering locating a small corner to indulge in a nap that she’d been helplessly devoid of, if not for seeing her lover once again.

Their lips parted once they shared a passionate kiss and she’d succumb into the warmth of his body as he wrapped his strong arounds around her figure in a tight embrace that reminded her of how much she had missed his touch all this time. ”We need to stop meeting like this.” The young woman chuckled, resting her hands against his chest, feeling the muscles hidden beneath his outfit. She bit down on her lips, her pearly whites snagging onto her lower lip as she thought: she’d have him all to herself later in bed to make up for all the time the two were apart.

Things were always quite dramatic, yet exciting whenever they were together and it seemed like today was just the same as every other time they met; chaotic. The loud banging on the doors interrupted their moment and Venus couldn’t resist rolling her eyes. Why couldn’t they just let them have a lovely reunion? But, with every passing second, things turned out worse. The reporters and cameramen could be seen climbing through every piece of furniture available to get inside the building just to get a scoop of the latest news.

”Jesus Christ,” she breathed out the words, completely astonished by how insane some of the media workers were. ”What the hell? You’ve got the wrong woman, I’m no evil witch, you scoundrel!” she yelled over the windows to the men as though they would hear what she was saying.

In the midst of all this, Noel was already planning an escape route. Perhaps it wasn’t the best idea of hers to flee to the library prior to this, she only made the situation worse for her beau. Nonetheless, she followed her lover’s lead as he dragged her off to the designated location of their infamous escape. When Noel sarcastically mocked her of starring in the entertainment industry, the woman could only gave a cheeky grin, ”W-Well…” But before she could continue, Noel compelled her into the exit as though he was moving a checker to another square.

A nod was responded and she’d bring her hood back up to conceal her face once again. Once Noel had transformed into a raven and escaped, she’d confirm the vicinity around her of any other presence before sliding past the door and sprinting hastily to make sure that she wouldn’t be noticed. Even from this distance, she could still hear the clamour of the reporters from the other side.

A sigh left her lips; this time out of frustration as she huffed and leaned against a tree. Somehow, her awful directional sense ended up leading them to an empty park with the piazza in just a short distance where the popular stalls and shops gathered. At the very least, they were away from the media attention. ”Hopefully, we’d gotten rid of them. Otherwise, we can just hide ourselves among the crowds in the marketplace.” She wiped the sheen of sweat that lined her forehead with the sleeve of her cloak. ”Getting sick of these people, honestly. I haven’t got a break from them ever since that magic games.”

”I saw you on a bounty flyer. What crimes have you committed to have such a large bounty on your head, huh?” A smirk formed onto the lines of her lips. Though the question was raised out of genuine curiosity, she wondered if he’d returned to his bandit ways of living.

Noel characteristically smiled at Venus, who suggested they should alternative ways of meeting each other. She was right, of course. As he was eerily staring at the door of the library, he was unable to respond to her right away. As the media poured in, Venus caused a small distraction, for his own larger distraction to take hold and effectively allow them an easy escape. As they were traversing through the simple library architecture to find an alternative exit, Venus couldn't find the words to explain the reason behind her increase in fame - something Noel would like to inquire further about, but perhaps at a later time.

As he exited the library in his raven form, Venus soon followed him out after signaling that it was safe to come out. Noel flapped his wings while in raven form, and landed on her shoulders. His pearly blue eyes while in his Raven form was a telltale sign behind his true identity for those who knew him well. As they were leaving the street, Noel flapped his wings and flied to a grocer, snagging a brown paper bag with his beak. He did it somewhat stealthily, not alerting the merchant who was helping another customer. He'd return to Venus' to land once more upon her shoulders. His intention for doing this was to be explained at a later moment.

The raven looked around quite paranoid as Venus carried him to a park. It seemed safe for the time being. It didn't seem like they were followed. Once Venus planted herself against a tree, he'd flap his wings and create a poof of white smoke, undoing his Raven Night Ring spell which turned him back to human. He'd grab the brown bag with one of his free hands from his teeth, and pull Venus into an embrace once more. Slightly panting while he did it, the ring did cause some strain over extended uses on him. "I missed you." He'd say, interrupting her comment about hiding at the marketplace a little.

After letting Venus go, he innocuously nodded at her comment about the grand magic games. Then a light bult flashed above his head for a second. "Hmm, yeah - possibly the same with me. I defeated one of your guild mates actually, Yumi I think it was? Ha... sorry for that." Noel replied not a moment later, which also explained why his fame had been built up. When she asked him about his bounty, the male sort of scratched his cheek while staring idly at the sky. Where to begin? "Well, there were these fish in Astera... they turned out to be one of a kind, and I did kill them. Also Oak is infested with some ghosts - I've removed them, and the general populace has doubts about the way I uhhh..." He continued scratching his cheek, remembering more events that may have caused what she described as a large bounty. "There were these werewolves in Dahlia, ... I mean in my opinion, I haven't necessarily caused great damage upon humanity, ..." He'd turn to glance at Venus. "With great power comes great responsibility. This bounty is a representation of my irresponsibility." Maybe this was some advice she could use, he'd have heard it once from his dad - and has since stolen the phrase. "What about you then?" He'd ask, recalling instances of having seen her face on bounty flyers with the same amount as his own.

As Noel listened to her response, he'd poke two holes in the brown bag he had stolen from the market. It wasn't like anyone was going to recognize his physique, the brown bag served as a poor mask. He definitely wasn't a fan of this, but it had to do for now. "Tonikake, we shouldn't stay in one place for too long. Would you like setting up camp somewhere near a lake, tulip? We could fish for food, setup a temporary shelter. Somewhere private." In preparation, Noel sharply whistled to call for Mustang, his horse. Who most likely was still at the library, after two sharp whistle calls- he could hear him canter into the park. Putting on the brown paper bag onto his face, he'd put one foot into the stirrup pad of the saddle to raise himself up and put his other leg over the horse. He'd extend a hand to Venus, if she wanted to sit on his horse too, she was more than welcome to. Preferably, he'd end up with her in the front, and him behind holding the leash with his arms around her. There should have been enough room on the saddle, save with Noels ass having a little muffin top at the back part.

Assuming she had agreed to his idea, Noel began to depart to find a location that could serve them well for this purpose.

There was the hug of gentle, yet powerful arms that told her that he was with her now; that told her enough that he missed her, just as much as she did to him. Without even needing to say the words, the way Venus clung onto his body like a child during his embrace would have given away of how much she thought of him while they were apart. When the topic of the Grand Magic Games came into discussion, she lifted her head away from his chest to look at him.

”My opponent was Alisa Vollan, you might’ve heard of her. She’s the guildmaster of Blue Pegasus apparently.” She paused, reminiscing the battle that she participated in a few months ago and frowned deeply. ”I lost. It was a difficult match.” It was also a match she couldn’t forget: one that motivated her, so that perhaps she could meet her again and have another round where she would eventually claim her victory, or so she hoped. The redhead stirs from her reverie to realize that Noel had been talking to her, the words fusing with the silence as it wavered in and out of various thoughts.

It took her a moment to register his words into her brain that he’d been explaining his little adventures and the reason behind his massive bounty. ”Looks like you’ve been pretty busy.” It seemed that he’d also dealt with the werewolves in Dahlia; her nightmares in the flesh. It wasn’t that she was afraid of the night creatures, but because during her stay in Dahlia there was nothing she did other than exterminate werewolves so frequently that she would even dream about them. The town was truly a hellhole – the only positive thing about the entire town was their guild and honestly, it was as though a fairy castle came and situated itself in the middle of a graveyard.

If bounties were a representation of irresponsibility, then what was she to become? Perhaps she was irresponsible, or perhaps she simply didn’t care whether she was going to end up in prison or not. It was the thrill of the chase: hunting down targets was what she thrived on. ”Oh, well, getting rid of bad people here and there. I get paid pretty well for those.” That was also another reason of hers to continue doing what she was doing – the money, although she has racked up quite a big sum so she’d decided to take a break from the assigned missions for a short while.

”I wouldn’t mind going to prison with you. I bet we could make that as one hell of an experience,” she gave him a cheeky grin.

Oh, so that was what the brown bag was for. It definitely served as a horrible choice to hide one’s appearance that she couldn’t help but stifle a laugh to herself seeing her lover in a brown bag with two holes poked through it: he certainly looked ridiculous but also adorable. ”A camp?” She pondered for a brief moment. Usually, she would be all up for spontaneous trips and activities, but wasn’t this a little too unplanned? "Won’t we need to get supplies if we’re leaving now?” She couldn’t lie, she was slightly apprehensive…that she would starve to death and miss out on all the good food from the most prominent restaurants that she’d been dining so frequently.

”But, I do like the idea of going somewhere private, with you.”

Venus found herself agreeing to the idea and ended up looking forward to their impromptu occasion more than she had preferred to. But, if they were going to do this, they might as well go all out right? ”I think I might know a place where we could enjoy camping, and perhaps also doing some other activities.” She suggested before adding a little bit of information on where they should be heading, ”It’s located far over the grasslands on the east side of the town. I heard that there’s a beautiful waterfall deep inside the woods.”

And so, she’d take his hand and climbed up onto his horse; their vehicle that would lead them to their thoroughly needed vacation.

While Noel faced an adversary in the tournament representing Venus' guild, she faced the guild master of Blue Pegasus. He was sure it was an spectacle, sad to have missed it. Instead of going into how she lost, Noel instead favored to turn the conversation into something positive about the situation. "Mmm, a friend of mine used to say that you can't succeed if you don't know what losing is. I think he meant that your next victory will feel better." Thinking back of his own track record, out of the many altercations he's been involved in, there were only a handful in which he's failed. Noel had a good idea of Venus strength, this Alisa person must have been really strong for her to remain victorious. The name sort of sounded familiar, he may have met this person before.

Venus made a comment on his recalling of his many various duties to have accrued his bounty. She was right, of course. From the scraps of money he's found here and there, he also managed to upgrade to a new arm. The recollections of the moment of it happened were still quite vague to Noel. Venus seemed like quite the hired blade, he could recognize his past in the modus operandi that Venus lived in. She was ridding the world of baddies - he'd argue mentally she'd most likely rid the world of goodies if they accrued her the same amount of jewels. "Good, the world could use a decrease in baddies." Her comment about prison caught him off-guard for a moment, he'd respond before he put on the bag by grabbing her hand, and kissing it suavely. "My tulip, I don't think-- haha- they don't allow same gender prisoners in same cell, or block for that matter. Besides being in a prison with you wouldn't be a prison for me, love." The threat was real though, their combined value surely certainly had to catch the attention of various bounty hunters. Noel paid more attention on his surroundings for the time being.

He went most of his life living on the fly, an impromptu camping trip suited well within his ideals to escape the attention of the media. "Supplies? I'm pretty handy so we won't need tools, maybe a fishing rod though, and some clean water. Is there anything else you need?" Noel was somewhat in unfamiliar terrain, as he usually traveled as light as possible. Surviving in the wilderness with nobody but himself. There were certain measures he'd take whenever he took his kids out in the past, maybe he should soften up a little bit. She did like the idea, he smiled in response. She claimed to have known of a suitable spot. It sounded fine to him, so he nodded in response. There were implications in her words, ones he slyly smirked at and booped her nose innocently with his own. "I like it, lets go there" He'd ask assuming they were ready to go.

He'd guide Venus onto the horse with his hand extended to her, and continue talking to her. It was a good time to get to know her better. "We should head to a grocery store first, we could pick up on some spices like salt, maybe butter and a fishing line for a rod." Noel mentioned other items they could use. His vision was severely limited in the brown paper bag, but he could smell around him just right. Pressing himself somewhat close to her, his head hung over hers by inches. He'd gently bump the back of his heel against the backside of the horse, to indicate that it should start moving. Both of his hands led the leash. "What do you think of hunting? As opposed to say, fishing." Making a little bit of small talk, Noel would like have to get to known Venus better. Once Mustang had entered the streets of Marigold, he'd let it come to a halt at a grocer. He'd quickly pick up the stuff they wanted to bring along, before they could continue their venture. Once he was back on top of his horse, he'd continue leading it towards the east side of the town, over the grasslands and into the woods.

The redhead smiled; Noel was somewhat correct in regards to that, although it was only a matter of time of when Venus will meet her newly found rival, which meant she couldn’t waste her time slacking but rather, catching up with her training to ensure her victory in the next battle. It seemed that during the time that they had been apart, her beau had his fair share of alterations: one being his arm entirely replaced by a modification that almost resembled to that of a demon’s limb. With its rugged appearance, it definitely wasn’t difficult to notice. Perhaps she would question him about his new arm at a later time, she thought.

”Oh.” A frown made its way onto her lips, hearing the disadvantage of the Fiorian prisons. Venus had lived nearly at every worst possible location when she was poverty-stricken and living off the streets; a prison would only be another addition to the list. Her lover certainly knew how to sway her off her feet with his words, so who could possibly blame her for being head over heels for the man, but of course, she didn't want to admit it. With the amount of attention the two had garnered over a short period of time, a runaway event was a much-needed occasion to escape their situation and even more so, when this was the only opportunity they had to spend time with each other, away from the unwanted attention.

Venus was quick to respond that she didn’t need anything else, with nothing but the idea of a camping trip running through her mind. She’d assumed that they would be cooking whatever they could find along the way, so obtaining the basic cooking ingredients were crucial. ”Meanwhile, I’ll grab an extra set of clothes just in case we need to change into something.” Being comfortable was just as important as her maintaining her own appearance: she certainly wouldn’t want to remain in her current clothes if they were to get wet from the sudden downpour and the like.

As the Siren rode, seated in front, she would instinctively lean backward into her lover’s chest, relaxing along the ride while Noel took the reins and led them into the woodlands. Along the way, he’d mentioned the two of them going hunting and her head would chirp up almost out of enthusiasm. Venus was a hunter herself, so the activity thrilled her and got her all giddy, although she wasn’t sure if she was used to the idea of hunting with someone else as she was accustomed to hunting alone – like how she’d always been the majority of her life.

”I say that’s another great idea” – and with that, they sped up over the yonder until they eventually came to a stop at the entrance of the woods. Even from this distance, she could hear the faint sounds of water gushing from the waterfalls. She turned to face Noel, her eyes brimming with exhilaration. ”What should we do first?”

Quickly picking up some camping stuff, Noel finished his business quickly before getting back on his horse with their load including an extra set of pair of clothes for Venus. Once closer to the forest, the air started feeling heavier and damp. The skies looked great - no grey cloud to be seen, temperatures were appropriate for this time a day. Noel usually called this time of day his cocktail hour. Noel guessed there was a wide body of water nearby, uncovered by the trees. His unfamiliarity in Marigold made it unknown for him what was coming next. He felt Venus lean into him, he'd accommodate this movement by moving his arms closer to her body, this time resulting in his hands leaning over her thighs and his forearms leaning against her waist.

Approaching the entrance of the forest, Noel pulled off the brown paper bag on his head. Nobody was around to see him anyway. It didn't seem like they were being followed either. Venus approved of the hunting idea. "How about venison? Or maybe even boar meat.." Noel knew the appetite of Venus to be great. What he didn't tell her was that during his grocery run, he also sneaked a bottle of rum into the carriage. A treat for later that day. Once at the entrance itself, the horse slowed itself down. There were too many trees and too little sunlight shining through them for Mustang to carry on with the same speed he went previously. There was a waterfall nearby, Noel could hear it. "Nhm, lets setup camp and go for a dive after?" It wasn't going to be tricky to make a camp, since they were both magical gods after all. Going for a dive made it easier for them to hunt animals. Noel pulled his leg off of Mustang, and stuck out his hand for Venus to use to get off as well. Holding Mustangs leash with one hand, he'd hold Venus' hand with his other. Leading the horse into the forest by foot, he'd eventually stumble open a semi large open area. "What do you think of this area?" He said, somewhat asking for confirmation from Venus. Given that she was alright with the area, he'd hitch Mustang to a tree nearby.

Noel then sat down in the center of the area. "I'll take care of building the camp, give me a second love." He'd say, as he sat in a cross-legged position. Pointing his palms at the treeline, and then at the bushes some - he'd pull all sorts of elements out of nature towards himself. He'd use a branch and magnify it with some magic, giving it enough offensive power to cut apart a tree and make planks from the logs. Thousands of different leaves were pulled to him, with some delicate work he could intertwine them together like chain mail. This mast of leaves was going to be the roof of their tent. Long and sturdy branches were used to make the tent. After a minute of him masterfully utilizing the art of his magic, their camp was erected. It had a nice nature like tent, a fireplace that could sustain through the night and a few other installations that made the place feel like a home. When he was done, Noel came to be seated back down on the ground after levitating off of it during the creation of their camp. "Phew. I think that'll do."

When he felt like the camp was in a good enough condition, he'd stand back up on his feet and pull his shirt off. He'd fling his shirt towards the tent, and start unloading the carriage of the horse. Some cooking utensils were propped over the campfire, they could spitroast some animals with what he had. Noel had also gotten a can of beans and a can of soup. He'd start the fire over the fireplace by using his dagger against some flint. He'd make some holes in the top part of the soup can, and then position the can over the fire. That way once they were done, they'd have warm soup waiting at the camp. He'd roll out a large bedroll into the tent. In actuality it was the fur of a bear and a bed sheet made of wolf fur. Putting all of these things into place made him sweat a little. Drops ran down his toned body, this moist area definitely did not help. He'd stretch his body, flex somewhat, while moaning a bit. After, he'd look at Venus, assuming she was in the area. "I think we're ready to go." He'd extend his hand to her, and join her in what she wanted to do next smiling sweetly at her as he accompanied her.

The weather was impervious to the pleading of the farmers, the sun had ideas of its own and relished scorching the land; there was no room for the heavenly relief of rain any time soon. Beyond her was an emerald eruption of green that enveloped countryside in a carpet of living nature. Trees – once boundless and bare – now flourish with vines, victorious as they claim their valley. ”Venison? I’ve never tried that before.” Venus lightly leapt off the Mustang once they’d reached the entrance of forest: the woods too dense for them to ride through, as she dusted off herself and fixed her attire. ”I don’t mind any kind, as long as it’s edible – but of course, must be tasty as well.” The Siren smirked as her eyes travelled towards the scenery ahead of her.

The old, yellow and brown leaves hustled in the wind as the sounds of the rainforest trees create at every push the wind gave. The dappled shade of the woodland trees had seemed so inviting only moments earlier that she had walked holding Noel’s hand, pointing out the tiny glimpse of the large rocks that constituted a waterfall in a far distance. It felt like it had been far too long since she’d last gone camping and even if she did before, she couldn’t recall how it went due to her extremely limited recollection of her memories. The excitement was rather obvious on both her facial expressions and her gestures as she pulled Noel and urged him to follow her faster.

Venus nodded profusely. ”Yes! We must have a dive in the waterfall. We can set a campfire at night nearby and maybe even have a very filling barbeque.” She trailed off, imaginations running wild in her mind; one of it being, having a skinny dip in the waters though she wondered if her lover would disagree with the idea. When Noel questioned her whether she liked their choice of the place, she’d speak while her hands brushed past the falling leaves. ”I like it. To be honest, I think this is what we’ve been needing for a while.”

Although Venus was keen to bustling and chaotic places just like her own personality, the forest, on the other hand, was sombre and ominously quiet, and that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. In fact, the calmness and the silence were the kind that her body came to crave somehow, after the strain of odd jobs pushing her being to and from between towns. Settling here, between the gorse of bushes and trees brought a warm soothing feeling blowing over her person, like a meek forest breeze. As much as she would’ve loved to help her beau set up the camp, she knew herself that she would only slow him down with the task so she proved herself useful by not doing anything – instead, seated herself on a rock by the side while she watched Noel work. She couldn’t lie, his magic came very handy in situations like these and the completed structure looked even better compared to the ones that required physical human labour.

The redhead blew out a quick whistle as Noel stripped his shirt, baring his muscled torso for all of her and the stars to see. ”I like seeing you like this. You might as well not wear a shirt for the rest of our trip.” A devilish smirk crept up onto her lips as she walked up to him and caressed his bare chest with her fingers. That was to tease him as well as to satiate her desire to have him embrace her again – for now.

There were things that needed to be done, after all. She couldn’t dare admit that her insanely corrupted thoughts distracted her from the work while she gathered the branches and logs to make sure the fire burnt strongly. But with Noel’s half-naked body in front of her, the campfire was rather unnecessary to keep her warm. She smiled nonchalantly back at the man, ”Let’s go hunting, shall we? Then, throw ourselves into the waterfall to wash off our sweat.” She took off her thick cloak that draped over her shoulders and tossed it into the tent, leaving her with just a simple white tight-fitted undershirt that was just comfortable enough for her to do hunting with ease, then grabbing her most trusted weapon to slay down boars and any edible creatures she could possibly find for their hunt.

Noel thought about how Venus never had tried venison before. It could be that she didn't know what it was, or she simply did not hunt deer - she most likely went for bigger predators like bears. It seems she was fine with anything their hunt could offer them, as long it was qualitative and there was plenty of quantity. She agreed on the idea of setting up a campfire and whatnot, with the addition of visiting the waterfall that was in the area. "Sure. I like that." She wanted to dive into the waterfall, something Noel wasn't very experienced with. Did she mean that she wanted to go to the top of the waterfall and then dive into the down pour? Noel currently left it ubiquitous in his mind as to what she meant. She was very excited though, he could feel it by the way she tugged on his hand to continue moving. "Vacation is good for the soul." He'd add to her thought about having needed this.

When Noel was preparing the camp, his lover sat by a rock and most likely witnessed him work his magic. After flinging his shirt off, he could hear her cat call - it made him chuckle a little. Knowing all the hard work he put into his physique were fruits that were to be lustfully enjoyed by Venus, he liked the attention it got him. She expressed this by asking him to remain shirtless. "Hah, why don't you do the same then?" A sly smirk followed from Noel as he felt Venus' fingers caress multiple regions of his abs and his upper torso. As a reward for his fan service, Noel selfishly claimed his reward - that reward being him placing his hand on Venus' buttock and giving it a firm squeeze before moving on. "Yes, lets hunt." Unaware of the tools she wanted to use during the hunt, Noel accompanied her after she had undone her cloak. Her curves became more apparent, which had him excited for events that could unfold later that day. Venus grabbed her weapon to use to hunt. Noel was a bit conflicted on it, since he didn't want to use magic to hunt - he saw himself as a honorable man, hunting animals that could not use magic at all seemed cruel. He was the type to give them a fighting chance. His dagger was in its holster, strapped to the back of his right hip.

Once deeper into the forest, Noel pulled his dagger out of its holster and spun it around his hand. Having let go of Venus', he'd look around him and flare his nostrils. Trying to sense big rogue animals around a twenty five meter radius of him. He didn't find a clear scent - what he did find was big paw prints in the soil. Following the marks, he found a twig that the animal had stepped on. Feeling the 'freshness' of the twig, he could determine how far away it was. "It's close, quiet down." He'd whisper to Venus, who he assumed was in the area. Following the trail of marks further, he'd eventually find a very large bear with its head in the bushes. A large open area stood in between Noel and the bear with its head in the bushes, who was most likely foraging some of the berries that this forest had to offer. Stepping into the open area, Noel mistakenly stepped on a branch - creating enough noise for the bear to pull its head out of the bushes and face Noel.

The intense stare down did not last more than a moment, as the large bear stood on its back legs to intimidate Noel. Who first idly stood still on the broken branch, and then did the same as the bear. Instead of being crouched down like he was previous, he'd stand up straight with the dagger in his left hand. As the bear was starting to bear its fangs at Noel, he'd be the first to take real action. Dashing to the left of the bear, he'd avoid the swipe by the bear by ducking as it came in. Taking his dagger though the leg of the bear as he dashed, he placed a clean cut and didn't stop dashing, for he knew the bear would try to retaliate. A small gap in time, in which Venus could jump in and finish the bear off as it faced Noel who just dashed by it. Just narrowly avoiding the bears second swipe, Noel would have finished off the job with his dagger if Venus hadn't already. "Phew. Lets bring it back to camp, prop it over the fire and head for the waterfall?" He'd suggest, already picking up the bear for transport. Once back at the camp, he made it quick work to skin the bear and cut out all the edible parts - he'd attach these meaty parts to the spit roast and sprinkle plenty of spices on the meats to almost give it a marinated taste. Some of the bears blood had gotten onto him, this waterfall was going to prove itself to be resourceful. "Lets head to the waterfall."

”I will gladly, but later, for you to enjoy thoroughly,” she responded with a wicked grin on her lips that immediately turned into a gasp when she was caught off-guard by Noel grabbing her buttocks firmly in return for her lustful comment. Oh, this man was very sly, but she also liked that daring side about him. ”Aren’t you a naughty man?” she joked, as they prepared for their hunting session.

The reason Venus brought her flaming sword for hunting despite it not being a suitable weapon for the purpose was due to the fact that she didn’t have any other items on her. Usually, she would have a small dagger strapped to her leg, but today, she didn’t feel the need to – which was her mistake – until the ambush from the media and their unplanned trip happened so truth be told, she was rather unprepared. It wasn’t as though she was planning to set everything on fire (hopefully) with her blade, but merely using it to stab and slice down the animals. Noel, on the other hand, chose to hunt in simple weapons just as she had expected, and she respected his decision to do so.

Venus had planned on using her creative hunting methods, albeit it seemed that her predator skills were no longer needed when her lover went on a spree and decided to do the bidding for her stead. The man returned with a large bear that he’d defeated, and she was left with her arms folded across her ample bosom. ”Let me do something as well,” she pouted. The man had been getting all the work done; building their tent and now even hunting food for them to eat, she wanted to prove herself useful. Though Venus was proud of Noel for ending up with a good find, the hunter needed to find prey to demonstrate her capabilities as well. With how eager she looked as she wandered about the woodlands, her sword in hand, it was obvious that she was competitive even at things like these.

Along their way back to the camp, the Siren found a deer and she would hide within the bushes, keeping track of her prey. Deers were fast creatures in nature, so when she emerged out of the shadows, the deer prepared to bolt away from her, but speed was also her forte. Venus grabbed the deer by its neck and quickly finished it off with her sword. ”More meat for us.” She chirped as she dangled the deer from its limbs while walking back to her partner. She wouldn’t know how the meat tasted, but well, there was always first experiences for everyone and there would be multiple of first experiences for her today.

The following activity was something she had been looking forward to the entire trip – the waterfall. Once they’d dropped off their prizes that they had hunted earlier, the couple set out towards the waterfall to wash off their sweat and enjoy the rest of the vacation in the most fun way possible. From a distance, the waterfall had been like a silent white stream cascading over the rocky outcrops. As they had drawn closer, the noise had increased steadily until they were only a few hundred metres away that they could no longer even shout to one another over the deafening roar of the water. Closer still they drew until they were in the plume of water vapour that hung over the plunge pool and in only minutes they were as wet as they would’ve been in any rainstorm.

Venus was a child at heart, and she couldn’t help but be excited at the sight of the geographical structure that formed before her eyes. Up there!” she bellowed over the roar of the water, her fingers pointing towards the highest point of the waterfall. Yes, she meant climbing all the way to the top and diving from there.

The red-haired mage began her ascent up the waterfall ahead and frankly, the trudge up there was quite the workout, but it was all worth for when she beheld the view before her very own eyes. Undoubtedly, there was green, green and more greenery but in a far distance, she could see the Marigold Town all the way from where they were located. The sun was just slightly above the horizons, indicating that the sunset was just about to dip down the grasslands and soon, the stars would speckle the night sky. Venus stood in awe, taking in everything around her surroundings before she stripped herself bare, from head to toe, without even a hint of undergarments on her body. Leaping into the air, she tossed herself down the cascade of water and plunged into the deepest parts of the waterfall.

Noel whistled a cat call to Venus when she proclaimed he'd get to see her shirtless later. The kneading of her dough resulted in a gasp from his beloved, her reaction amused him. While being called naughty, much likely for his reaction - the male chuckled in response.

After he was done slaying one of the larger creatures in this forest, he'd find her back in the forest while carrying the bear by one of its legs. "Heh - is it not a mans sekinin to hunt for his woman?" He'd somewhat ironically ask, this question was mostly imposed due to his boomer culture. While returning to camp, Venus had scouted a deer into the far distance. Noel discretely stayed behind to observe her slay the creature. Her speed wasn't something to mess around with. Instead of relying on extreme sneaky tactics, or traditional hunter gear (bow and arrow); she could simply outrun the prey. Impressive. "Well done." He'd say to the approaching Venus, while she held the limbs of the deer. Once they were back at the camp, Noel put the bear down near the campfire. "I'll teach you how to skin-and-quarter a deer if you'd like. It's a bit graphic, don't watch if you have a weak stomach."

The mage grabbed a hunting knife from his backpack as well as a rope and a straight firm stick from the area. "So first things first. You need a good area to do this in." He'd walk towards a tree and yank the rope over a strong looking branch. "Second, you cut a hole in the back legs, under the tendon." He began doing as he instructed, and then he pulled a stick right through the holes he just created. "This will speed things up by a lot, and not spoil the meat." The rope he previously threw over the branch now was going to be used to reel the deer up by the stick. "You want to be using some sort of lever system to hoist your prey up." After hoisting the deer up a few feet off the ground, he could now comfortably skin the deer. The sharp knife aided his ability to cut delicately, a trait he'd have picked up prior to becoming a mage - namely when he was a practitioner surgeon. After skinning the deer, he'd continue his instruction. He'd cut the head off, as well as its legs. "So you want the back-straps and the tenderloins. If you ask me, they're the best bits - the rest takes long to extract, and you might spoil the meat if you make a small mistake." He'd cut the back of the deer in half vertically, and then make horizontal cuts in order to extract the juiciest meats. After his verbal lesson was done, he'd move onto the bear and repeat the process in almost the exact same way, except his cuts once the animal was skinned were much different. Due to it being a bear of course. He'd extract many more pounds of meat. He'd marinate the meats and hang them over the fire, to roast while they were gone.

Following Venus deeper into the forest, he could hear how they were approaching the waterfall. He couldn't see it - up until it was visible through the thick floral botanic of the woodland. It was quite a sight to behold. He could practically see the stars in Venus' eyes when she begun pointing at the peak. "Sure, lets head there." He'd say, but his words were late as he noticed her already heading towards it. He didn't mind. Watching her struggle somewhat with the climb up, he decided not to use spells - it was cheating. Climbing was an activity he enjoyed. Sight seeing was an activity he enjoyed. Diving head first down a waterfall was not an activity he enjoyed. Though before he was able to convince Venus not to jump down, she had already went down. Her undergarments were scattered around the summit of the waterfall. Noel scratched his chin and begun contemplating.

On one hand, a great treasure chest awaited him at the bottom - on the other hand, he wasn't confident that he'd survive the fall. His endurance and constitution was likely not even close on par - as he begun recalling a certain incident where he attacked her and she shrugged it off a devil and an angel appeared on opposing ends of his shoulders. "Do it, jump." The devil said. "Be serious Noel, she won't think you're less off a man if you don't jump. Use magic." Said the angel. "She didn't use magic when she jumped. Why would you?" After fighting of his internal crisis, Noel decided to courageously follow Venus as great treasure awaited him on the other side.

Plopping up from under the water, surprised at his survival of the event, Noel rubbed the water out of his eyes and then drew his hair back by using his fingers as a comb. Quietly, he'd begin to sing to himself while he moved to Venus.

He'd knead her dough, and check the oil, after which he'd jam the clam. When the gates for Crocus were opened, he'd parallel park his cannoli while slippin' and slidin'. With the gas tank filled, the butter began to be churned. Once the triangle was bisected, bandicooting followed. After their hot yoga session, and his fingers started getting wrinkles, he'd exit the waters and stretch. "I got a surprise for you back at camp." He'd yell towards Venus, seeing as the nearby waterfall was very loud. He referred to a bottle of rum he'd have snuck on his carriage. Holding out his arm for her, he'd have taken her back to camp after their encounter with the waterfall.

Of course, Venus liked the attention she received from her lover with her little teases, and it was all she needed to keep herself amused. The compliments she received from strangers or even the people she knew wouldn’t succeed in getting reactions from her, unless it was from the man that she loved, that got her grinning from ear to ear when he’d acknowledged her successful hunt. The two returned back to their camp to get their food ready and she had figured she would handle it just fine watching Noel skin the meat and their food ready. The redhead was one who hunted down people for a living – blood was not something she was afraid of, nor gory activities albeit, she didn’t expect skinning meat would be that graphic.

”Oh, wow,” – was all that left her lips as she was left standing there with her teeth gritted, restraining herself from being completely astonished. But, that was to be anticipated when he meant “skin-and-quarter” the animal. ”Well, this is some live violent action,” she chuckled nervously while Noel presented her with a step-by-step procedure on how to skin the meat. After witnessing the entire operation right before her eyes, Venus might consider not eating meat – only for a while though – after being reminded of how graphic the process was.

🌹

The water was uncommonly clear, so much that it was impossible to gauge the depth but Venus had plummeted headfirst down the waterfall, landing with a loud splash that the pain from the impact of hitting against the water could be felt nearly to her very core. Albeit all of that was negated with the calming sensation of the water against her skin. While Noel looked as if he was having a mental conflict whether to take the plunge or not, the red-headed beauty swam naked in the tranquil turquoise, air bubbles rising to the surface in their clustered way. Boulders rise out of the water like the bows of a sunken fleet, the scent of moss and lichen be-fowls the air for leagues across. It was lovely, deep down under the water with schools of bright-hued fish and strange sea flowers decorating the sand floor.

As much as she would’ve loved to keep discovering the wonders undersea, Venus was quickly distracted by their intense ’yoga session’ that took place afterwards and naturally, she was left with pheromones releasing from her figure and her cheeks flushed pink from the heat, perhaps from the warm water or their intimate activity, or even both. Mayhap it was due to being at the peak of her age, Venus’ sexual drive was soaring through the roof and possibly, she could’ve had a second round of yoga session but at the same time, she didn’t want to appear as though she was such a defiled woman. She chewed on the inside of her bottom lip – ah, this man was driving her crazy, literally.

🌹🌹🌹

Quietly, she climbed out of the water and ran to grab her clothes; she wasn’t going to wear the outfit that was already drenched in water. Instead, she held them against her women parts as if to hide them from the curious views of the woodlands, despite the fact that they were probably the only ones there. ”What is it?” asked the female as she wrapped her arm around his while the couple retreated back to their camp to finally devour the food that they’d prepared earlier. She had dressed in clean clothes and sat by the fire. Ripping a large piece of meat from the thigh, she’d hand it over to her lover, letting him have the first piece while she’d have the next. The night rolled over quickly as they ate and enjoyed what little time they had and she treasured every chance to spend time with him, few as they were. Even in the velvet dark, there is the light of the stars that glowed large like street-lamps, radiating the entire woodlands with its brilliance.

A starry night loomed above, pretty enough to ignite the heart of any nature’s child as the fire crackled. ”Do you want to watch the stars?” Venus had prepared the bedding inside the tent, so all they had to do was to lay down and snuggle into each other while they gaze upon the night sky. She had to say the entire trip had been nothing but romantic, fun and adventurous at the same time. ”We ought to do more of this,” she spoke, laying within his arms and with an upwards glance, Venus gazed at the midnight blue canvas above that stole every thought from the mind, the usual carousel of worries simply forgotten. There was the heavenly stars above, a crescent moon to smile down and a man who held her heart dearly in front of her; what else could she possibly want more?

”I love you” – a whisper of words, she managed, scarlet hues crossing over the gaze of blue, fused with colours of diversity as she dipped her head into his chest and found herself the sweet spot at the nook of his neck. She couldn’t be any more glad that he’d brought her along on this vacation, at the very least they were able to escape from the reality for a short while.

Noel certainly enjoyed the sight of Venus running around au natural to gather some of her clothing. Once out of the waters, the male was simply in his wet trunks. He'd extend his arm towards her for a simple reason, "I wanted to walk hand-in-hand with you, tulip ~" was his reply. The male beamed, he felt truly happy being with Venus. As soon as she came close enough, he'd intertwine his fingers with hers.

When the couple returned at their respective camp, they'd have a seat near the roast. Noel put his wet pants near the fire as he sat in his trunks. He was given the first piece of meat by Venus, a somewhat romantic gesture - the meat was good. "Mmm, itadakimasu ~" Noel used a clean knife to cut the meat into palatable pieces. After their dinner, it had been long night already.

Noel revealed an expensive bottle of rum from the tent, he'd have sneaked it into the carriage way earlier. He'd pour the rum into a two glasses and offer Venus a glass, before she proposed that they watch the stars. "Will those stars be prettier than you?" said Noel with a smirk while looking into the depths of her eyes. He meant what he said. "Lets watch them."

He followed with, gently moving into the tent behind her. He'd lay down on the comfortable bed, and put his arm under Venus' head. The stars were quite visible, the dying fire provided them with a clear view of the interstellar. The warm sensation of her snuggling against his body gave him feelings of fulfillment, though his eyes did not easily express that - instead he simply smiled at the stars. "You're right." He'd kiss the top of her head when she moved her head down from glancing up. "I love you too, tulip." said Noel, in a soft tone. It was true. For the first time in a few years, he felt butterflies in his stomach. He was excited for a future with Venus. As time went on, Noel initiated some small talk to get and know Venus better, before eventually falling asleep.
