Third Game: L'Amour Toujours

Finally, nothing strange was happening. No random beasts chasing the group. No plants trying to devour them. The Ravens were sleeping soundly for once. Unfortunately, their peaceful slumber would not last long. This time they would not get teleported anywhere else. The game was going to take place at their own base. Suddenly, out of nowhere, music started to blast loudly to wake everyone up. Sometimes they would hear songs softly singing to them during their stay here, however, this was different. It was much louder. The music made them incapable to communicate with each other. The Ravens quickly rushed out of their tents and were nearly blinded as well. A stroboscope effect was aimed at the camp which filtered between white and blue lights. It made everything appear to move in slow-motion. Why was this happening now? A grotesque figure submerged from the sea standing on top of a barren ship. He seemed to be the one torturing them. Undead pirate zombies rushed out of the water and started to attack the Ravens. The game was simple. Survive till sunrise. It wouldn't be much longer.

Roll: Strength, Speed, and Constitution.

Details: All three rolls have to be done at the same time. The first number represents Strength, the second number represents Speed, and the third number represents Constitution. Everyone is supposed to roll three times in the end. It is not necessary to wait for others to post. You may do your three posts and rolls in a row.

Timer: 24 Hours.

Notification.

Everyone with a Weapon versus Monsters can add that number to their Strength roll. Everyone with an Evasive versus Monsters can add that number to their Speed roll. Food counts for all rolls should they apply.

Karisa

She couldn't really sleep as the games were getting stranger. What could come up next? The past few days there were monsters coming towards them or after their camp, but this time nothing did. She yawned softly and flipped her hair as she wondered when death was coming for her - her true love. Kurisa was not sure if death had a body or face, but she knew that if it did it'd be sexy as hell. As she was about to close her eyes to drift off she heard a noise in which only made her want to move. Some undead appeared and swiftly she hurried to get ready and charged to defeat. This was her turf.

The undead Captain was not pleased. It seemed as if the Ravens were not taking him seriously. In time, he would have strength in numbers with his army of the undead. "What in Davy Jones' locker did ye just bark at me, ye scurvy bilgerat? I’ll have ye know I be the meanest cutthroat on the Fiorian seas, and I've led numerous raids on fishing villages, and conquered over 300 wenches. I be trained in hit-and-run pillaging and be the deadliest with a pistol of all the captains on the high seas. Ye be nothing to me but another source o’ swag. I’ll have yer guts for garters and keel haul ye like never been done before, hear me true. You think ye can hide behind your newfangled computing device? Think twice on that, scallywag. As we parley I be contacting my secret network o’ pirates across the sea and yer port is being tracked right now so ye better prepare for the typhoon, weevil. The kind o’ monsoon that’ll wipe ye off the map. You're sharkbait, fool. I can sail anywhere, in any waters, and can kill ye in o’er seven hundred ways, and that be just with me hook and fist. Not only do I be top o’ the line with a cutlass, but I have an entire pirate fleet at my beck and call and I’ll damned sure use it all to wipe yer arse off o’ the world, ye dog. If only ye had had the foresight to know what devilish wrath your jibe was about to incur, ye might have belayed the comment. But ye couldn’t, ye didn’t, and now ye’ll pay the ultimate toll, you buffoon. I’ll shit fury all over ye and ye’ll drown in the depths o’ it. You’re fish food now."

Jin returned to camp and crawled into the makeshift tent of stick and leaves. The small openings let the moonlight slip through. His jacket covered him like a sheet but after the plant attacks he couldn't sleep. Next to him was the wooden spear.

A loud song swept over the camp and he leapt to his feet. Peaking outside he saw the slew of undead marching up from the waters. Kurisa was already awake,

"Hey maybe we can run...." He said. But kurisa was charging headfirst into them. " Huh...I guess we're fighting then." He said and stepped out. Spear in hand he joined his fellow raven in combat.

OOC Note:

Out of nowhere, the lgihts came on. Well, the music came first actually. It was enough to send Zane into shock, instantly waking him up. From the moment he got off his bed, he was pretty startled. The lights were a shock to his eyes as well, especially since he had been sleeping in the middle of the night. Rubbing his eyes as he emerged from his tent, Zane finally got a decent idea of what was happening. While much of the island could be described as "some of the craziest stuff" Zane had ever seen, this WAS the craziest moment of his life. A group of undead pirates with dance music attacking them? This was something else, something Zane knew he would probably never experience again in his lifetime. Not wanting to end up in pieces from the swashbuckling undead, Zane tried to run around to find a safe spot.

Zane's heart rushed. He was running for his life, but it seemed like he wouldn't be able to make it out of the camp itself. His only option would be to run around the camp and dodge any attacks that came his way. An undead pirate seemed to spot Zane, and Zane spotted the pirate. Zane ran like hell, faster than he ever had before. His lungs felt like they were about to burst, as did his eardrums thanks to the loud music that was still blaring, not helping with the man's anxiety right now. He didn't want to die - not on this island, at least. There was still so much more he wanted to do! Zane continued to run, not knowing when it all would end.

Would there be an end to it all? Would he ever escape this fate? Zane wasn’t sure. It wasn’t looking very nice at the moment, that was for certain. He had actually started to enjoy the music though, sneaking in a few dance moves here and there as he fled the pirates. Even when his life was literally hanging on a thread, Zane was still goofy. Perhaps that could be considered a strength of his. If he hung onto his sense of humor, maybe he would find the willpower to survive. All he could really do now was hope. If he got out of this alive, well… that would certainly be one hell of a story to tell. Not that anyone would ever believe that, mind you.

Masami
As he thought he was a blessed boy to finally recover via sleeping, then this thought was immediately brushed off by reality. He felt his skin slightly drying up due to the lack of rest and proper breathing, as well as the lack of relaxation. For the boy, anxiety isn't something he could handle for a few days straight. Sooner or later, there'd be music outside and lights, as if celebrating something. Then, the tents were being destroyed by this chaos, so Masami was forced to go out, hoping that the rest of them would survive this current state of abuse.

Masami
What Masami has been hearing is not music at all. Compared to the nostalgic, traditional Joyan music that he ever-so liked, he cannot be at ease upon listening to the melodies booming... everywhere. A sensory overload wherein Masami's hearing and sight were focusing on a lot of things at once, even if he tries not to. This sort of thing was certainly unstoppable, especially for the kid to handle even if he had his ears covered by his palms as he runs towards safety, or at least somewhere he believed he'd be alright upon. Thus, even though he hoped to disappear, this wish certainly wasn't present at the moment.

Masami
Although Masami couldn't see very well due to this light, inhabited by booming music Masami did not like, he was sure that he had seen people... no, figures? They rose up from the waters and Masami panicked, trying not to get hit by anything as he continues to run with his palms trying to grasp his ears in order to stop the music from ruining his hearing. Not only was this loud, it was painful, and it was the only thing Masami could hear along with muffled voices, muffled enough to avoid being compared to voices. Thus, he ran while tearing up, as if he even had the energy to tear up.

Steel

Steel woke up. He had actually been able to secure a tent on his first day visiting the camp. Now something else was happening. He could hear deafeningly loud music and when he went out of his tent to check on the situation he was blinded by a weird light. None of this was normal, He thought he would actually get some sleep for once but the truth was. He would never be able to truly sleep in this dangerous place. Dangerous undead monsters rushed the campers from out of the water. Steel would start doing what he was best at doing. Ironically as a Hero his strongest quality was peace through violence. And so he started slaughtering his way over to the obvious leader.

Steel

Whenever he was capable he would kill one of the nearest zombies using his newly found iron hatchet but he always made his way towards the shoreline. He reckoned the only way to bring an end to this undead invasion was to cut off the head of the snake. Which in this case was obviously the head pirate who had been talking his head off at a safe distance from a ship that had emerged from the sea. But to get to him Steel would have to cut his way through the zombie horde until he could start swimming out to his ship. All the while the weird lights made time feel slower.

Steel

The unending hordes of zombies made it all a bit harder though and so it was near impossible for Steel to even attempt getting closer to the ship and the evil zombie captain of this dread pirate crew. Felt further and further away as the hordes kept coming. Steel changed his goal. He would cut and kill until he couldn’t anymore. He was hellbent on survival. And he would simply fight for as long as he could until he couldn’t fight anymore. He looked around him as the deafening music played and played, His newfound comrades the ravens were all there fighting and fighting together with him against the monsters. Would they all survive?

#25Requiem

Fourth Game: L'Amour Toujours (Ravens) Empty Fri Jun 26, 2020 11:16 am

Requiem
Requiem watched as the ship rose up. The music and lights getting her pumped. Finally! Something she could fight!

"I am a Hunter. Justice is my weapon. Rage is my armor. I am the knife in the dark. I am the shield that protects the day."

Her personal oath when she became a Hunter, her vow. Even if she didn't have her magic, she would fight and destroy the undead.

The captain's boast did nothing but cement her desire to lay waste to the undead enemy in front of her.

Her dagger, dull and rusted as it may be, would become an instrument of might.

She drew the weapon and raced at the crew, weaving between attacks and lashing out with her own. A hamstring leading to a throat slash followed by driving the blade into an eye socket like a nail.

Requiem was a Hunter. And a Hunter must hunt.
