Masami
It was already unexpected enough for Masami to receive a letter this morning. Although he was still wearing his white jinbei, eyes half open, he couldn't avoid taking notice of the call and approach the door, only to pick up a small package. The sun hasn't fully risen, although it has already contributed to light the world up. He slept at his room at the Penumbral Guard's guild this time, having moved all his items from the inn yesterday to this room. There wasn't anything else in the room but a bed and a drawer to keep his belongings in, so he opened the letter right after the bed's spring lightly bounce him up. A letter from the theater, they had a good choice choosing an experienced person like Masami! Slowly reading the letter, he couldn't help but force a smile.

It was still hard for him to read non-Joyan alphabetical characters, even writing was a complex thing for him to do. Masami prepped himself for today's morning before going out to finish the request. The request was about a theater play. Surprisingly, an actor wanted to bring back the "glory of the Marigold Theater," and it was written ever-so-faithfully right in the letter – the way the writer wrote it made the whole letter seem so poetic, it made Masami slightly cringe. However, that didn't stop him from approaching the theater. This time, he wore a kimono specifically for men. If that doesn't make people realize that he's a male, he doesn't know what. With a paper fan in his left hand, he tied the rope-like part of the outfit, called the haori himo, while he approached the theater. It was still early and people haven't been gathering; with another overcoat, he loosened this and let it hang around his upper arms, just like his usual attire before he'd meet with the person who wrote the letter.

Masami
"Alright! Let's get this started!" What an entrance. This was what Masami uttered right after entering the theater. Although there was nobody there except Masami and another person from afar, whom appeared to be the requester, Masami lit his face up brightly for exactly this request. "So, Mister Glory," he teased, leaning closer, "could you handle the severity of my responses?" Referring to how he was trained back then in Joya, with all those requirements and new schedules every minute, Masami was convinced that Joya had that most in terms of being strict. After all, Masami started in the theater at the age of six until a month ago. There was no doubt of Masami adapting the same type of training. He even squinted his eyes a little, making them appear narrower, having the fan cover half of his face.

They would get to their jobs immediately. Actors came to the lobby an hour after, and Masami just had to talk to them one by one. Masami had already taken a sneak peek over the script, which came with the package, which was why he had to make sure that each and everyone did the job well. Last time he did this, he settled with the "good enough" and didn't actually do well. This time, everything must be perfect. Everything must be a hundred percent, and Masami will be sticking to that ideal, even if one of the staffs are crying in exhaustion... or not. When a female actor actually cried due to the lack of rest, Masami couldn't get over the guilt and have them rest for more than thirty minutes. In Joya, ten minutes was already "too much" and they had to get back to work immediately. Guess Masami wasn't actually going to stick to his word, after all.

Masami
It was still the first day. On the following days, Masami had to allow himself to act normally than force himself to become strict. For a teenage boy, it was hard for him to make the older people cry. They weren't complaining as well, which was worse in Masami's perception – it made him feel like he was bullying children, and that was enough to make him feel guilty. Masami was naturally supportive rather than strict, perhaps unless he was angry, which he rarely gets into. He was even the one providing the food and drinks by the second day, supporting people instead of absolutely leading them. "I can act but not lie." Masami sighed at his break time, leaning against the wall as he slid himself down, having a blank face, jaws slightly dropped. He was... emotionally drained, rather, disappointed in himself. He wasn't exactly sure whether this was "the best" he can do, and it made him upset. Perhaps he just wasn't made for the job, but he was patted on the back by the person who wrote the letter, smiling at him and giving a thumbs up. He was given the "when I was in your age" talk, supposedly annoying, but enlightened Masami, and that was "good enough," and that's good.

When it was time, Masami stood right up and clapped his hands, grabbing everyone's attention. "Alright, everyone. Today's the last day, let's do our best!" he shouted, and everyone responded with the same answer as they raise a fist in the air before getting into it. While they were practicing their scripts, Masami checked on the props men. Props are important, as well, even though they won't catch the spotlight as much as the actors would. "Hmm, this looks better." Masami answered, pointing at the lighter shade of blue paint inside a bucket. Right after his answer, the props men immediately got to their jobs. "Woah, fast!" Masami raised both brows in surprise, not expecting how quick the props men have been moving ever since. No wonder it seemed complete since the start, these props men were experienced and worked sternly unlike the actors. In the final day, Masami had no words. He watched at the front row, and the crowd wasn't as much as he thought. However, this was a start, at least.
