As a child, Masami had already been realizing the fact that often, heroic main characters turn out to be reality's bad guy. However, that also works for real models of justice; he has also witnessed the most evil antagonists being the vessel of faith and hope outside the theater, mere evil laughs could not determine if a person truly is evil or not. This time, Masami's taking the lead as an antagonist for a theater play. Yesterday evening, he had received a message regards assisting a play for Marigold's theater. As a performer himself, he couldn't bare not accepting. After all, he had lived as a performer – not only acting, but also dancing and singing. In Joya, people had multiple jobs and it was natural for Masami to be more than your average performer. In the afternoon the next day, he visited the theater for that play.

"Let's see..." he placed two fingers 'round his chin while reading the script, analyzing and familiarizing himself with the lines, "the character... was both a hero and a villain? His whole family eas discriminated and he chose to live while watching himself slowly transcend into an evil person, and ended up murdering many." Masami asked these for verification, even nodding while making different lip movements. The director clapped his hands and pointed at Masami. "Indeed!" he praised, laughing right after. "None of them got it, but you already understood the first time you read the papers!"

"It was because I've been working so hard in the same line of work since I was born." right after Masami said this, he had intentionally yawned and stood up from his seat, stretching his arms. 'It's also because the scenario is disturbingly similar to what I have done.' Masami wouldn't say this, though it's one of the reasons why he managed to perform the whole script in his mind, seeing a virtual theater stage without it to even exist.

"Do your damn job properly." Masami stared right into the second character's eyes, more of a glare rather than simply a stare. He stood on the stage with the scripts on his right hand, though supposedly sitting (just like what the title says), the props weren't immediately finished and they had no other choices. The second character was supposed to answer immediately, but instead stuttered on their own words and looked straight at the director. "S-Sorry, sorry! This guy's too good, I-I'm getting scared f-for real."

Initially, Masami had thought that it was unfair to be the only one doing the job well. It was very self righteous, and he scolded himself in his thoughts right after. Instead, he chuckled and covered half of his face with the script. "Haha, it's normal," he mentioned, making the exact opposite face he was making earlier, "we get that a lot. I'm used to this type of roles, so... gotta catch up." He held the script out, pointing to the part where they would restart. The second character's face lit up and nodded, speed-walking back to their original positions to restart. 'Right, I'm used to the same role.'

Before the director signaled their parts to start, Masami winked at the second character with a thumbs up. His innocent face instantly brushed off the moment the director told them to start. "You're telling me to start over again?" he raised a brow this time, speaking his words as if he meant it – he meant it, indeed, for the role, but as well as in real life. He was earning flashbacks from this; though actors very often get flashbacks from their roles, Masami knew that this wasn't the time for him to recall all those bad memories. "Tell the king that it was me," he raised his chin up and slightly turned, making his eyes appear narrower and sharper, "let's see how much of a coward he is."

Masami has assumed that the reason why there were countless of people filling the theater today was because they knew that Masami would be playing a role on stage. He had always been the one helping out, willingly, because he had already been playing most of the roles back in Joya. There wasn't a single seat left open, and there were obviously non-Fiorian people sitting in the front and middle rows. On Masami's observation, they treated this play formally. Everybody wore semi-formal to formal clothing, along with other accessories. Supposedly, the act would last up to three and a half hours. It wasn't much, if Masami would judge this.

Masami didn't appear in the first hour. However, upon the second part of the play, he appeared in an appearance of a yakuza leader, and he was all dolled up. He wore traditional Joyan clothes which revealed his chest open; skinny albeit slightly toned up. He had a fake tobacco in his left hand and sat on the pillow laying on the floor, in front of a small brown table decorated with papers. The whole set was decorated in a very realistic way, which included the lighting and all those etcetera. Even his face was inked in red make-up, his eyes appearing very sharp. He never showed an innocent face, and throughout those few hours, he maintained a serious glare. He wasn't devilish nor straight-up evil, nor did he even show-off his natural, teasing personality, but he had adapted himself according to the script as if he was the character itself.

When the time came, he had the spotlight all to himself. Characters which appeared to be yakuza men surrounded Masami albeit in the darkness. The story wouldn't end with Masami being the hero, of course, but this was the moment everybody was waiting for. He raised a small sustaining fire ball that floated on top of his left hand, then looked at it with remorse. When he made made his mind up, flaming effects started to gather around not only the stage, but also affecting the audience. Then, he smiled and looked straight at the audience. "Let's light it up, men."
