On this cold afternoon, a sculptress wandered aimlessly through the streets of crocus, admiring the discreet, mostly deserted avenues after a particularly rainy morning. She'd been working out for most of that morning, yet now walked around with a cool, graceful stride - devoid of any hints to the soreness in her muscles - wearing an outfit not nearly as wintery as the chilly air might suggest. Shorts and stockings highlighting her shapely, leggy figure, a warm brown sweater, and a red scarf matching the deep color of her eyes eyes. The city had been mostly completely rebuild by now, yet the minute destruction it experienced on that battle yet weighed down on the city's mood. However could it not?

That battle had yielded a new king, who for all his seeming good will, was still an invader. The city had been conquered, and until all the former citizens - former slaves and freemen alike - came to live a better life, this sullen mood wouldn't fade away...

"Oho...? Look over there, Lumen~", Alisa called out to her humanized partner, guiding her eyes of amber to a nearby bakery. Someone they knew all too well, someone who had been there when the Lampent first achieved her human form.

A beautiful head of bright and lustrous, fiery red hair, the kind of beauty to turn the heads of any passerby, regardless of gender or sexual orientation; The kind of beauty Alisa admired, the kind of beauty she too possessed. More importantly, she knew this girl, though hadn't seen her in months. Alice... One of the few Rune Knights she actually respected, and though they had moderately similar views, this mutual respect hailed mostly from having stood side by side on the battlefield, facing one of the many threats to the Era.

Seemed like attacking Era was quite the fashionable outing for Dark Mages these days, though this particular attacker had raided it solo, devoid of any clear, murderous intent. Whenever Alisa struggled with realizing whether she gained anything from that battle, her thoughts always wondered to her friendship with Alice. And now that she'd spotted the girl inside, she had a perfect reason to step away from the chilly outdoors into a warm, welcoming bakery, and take a deep breath of that breaded scent.

They needed a treat, Jupiter, Hecate, and she was sure Kon wouldn't mind if she would buy a few things for a nice lunch for the four of them. She could also make a secret breakfast thing for tomorrow, would they like that? Would she like that? She would be up around five in the morning anyway. That's why she felt so tired now, it was around noon and she had been up already for about six hours and she needed to be back at the hotel in about two. That was enough time. She stood in front of the backery counter and thinking about what she would buy, shame it was winter season, the idea of having pancakes and strawberries as Kon had made in Magnolia made her think about buying strawberries, but that wasn't possible yet.

She stepped aside when someone else wanted to order as she wasn't ready yet. She thought about macarons for Jupiter and chuckled a little when she thought about Baska. So she could do that, some croissants? She pouted, what about a latte right now? She looked up at the board that described their collection of drinks and she had pushed her aside from the coffee that she so sadly missed and ordered a chai tea latte at the moment, that would be save enough, she did order with soja milk though. All the limited drinks and food she could have because of the twins and she would wait for her order to be ready and consider what she could buy more. She already held some bags with other groceries, not much, and definitely not heavy but they were mostly counting on themselves and she was happy to have some sort of hotel with an apartment, her own kitchen, two bedrooms and even if they could use a third, Hecate and Jupiter were fine with sleeping in the living room in their companion form, something that they barely used the last couple of days because Hecate her help with the children.

Yup, that was Alice alright... Even if she wasn't recognizable enough, Alisa remembered the handsome, princely form of her transformed companion, who had acquired this ability at the same time as Lumen. Now curiously glancing at her partner, she recalled how she had yet to discover whether her partner had stolen the herbs from a shop, stolen the money from her, or simply found them growing in a ditch wherever. She actually didn't care much about either of the two options; only the third one worried her at the possibility of them being something poisonous. But if nothing wrong happened to her after all these months, then she was probably okay. Regardless, now that she'd actually confirmed it was indeed her friend, the sculptress approached, calling out to her

"Hello there Alice~ Lovely seeing you here.", she greeted calm and casually, resting a hand on her hip as she got close enough to ask a truly important question, "Though I hope you weren't here for the battle~"

She hadn't seen Alice during the defense of the city, and rightfully so for she had another innocent life only she could care for; her own child. A pregnant woman had no business fighting Grimoire Heart, though Alisa doubted the woman herself held any particular fondness for that thought... Yet in the end she trusted her own maternal instincts would drive her to protect her child rather than her sense of duty guiding her into battle.

Curiously, the sculptress scanned her friend's form head to toe, looking for those obvious hints of pregnancy she missed last time around... Only to find none. Had she already given birth? She didn't appear that far along last time they met, and though a fair amount of time had passed since then. She could always defer the question for later, though the answer seemed somewhat obvious at this point.

She was waiting for her order and still considering if she should buy some special bread to work out a breakfast or lunch for the four of them tomorrow, would it still be tasty or could she better run here at seven or six, depending on the opening times of the store and get it than.. fresh from the backery. She took the cup from the counter and turned around to sit somewhere when she recognized a pretty face with red eyes and long black hair. She smiled as Alisa greeted her and she shoke her head slightly, "No, I arrived last Saturday, but it's good to see you." She wasn't sure if she was able to ask about what happened here to Alisa but as they had discussed many things and battles before, she was a little afraid to bring up hurtful emotions, "I didn't hear a lot, how.. how did it go here?"

She noticed Lumen and said hello to Alisa her companion as well, shame for now that she was alone but that happened more lately and it was okay. She gestured to a table, "Let's sit, I'm so glad to see a friendly face." Which sounded as if she had seen none the last days but well Orchidia had made her feel that way. She put the grocery bags on an extra chair and set down, she had seen Alisa looking her up and down and tried not to grin, she was so proud of herself and of the little babies that she couldn't hide it, "I was a month too soon." She said to answer the unspoken question. They met in November and she would have normally given birth at the end of March but yeah the doctor had told her that the thing with twins was it could happen earlier.

The two shared that warm, pleasant smile of two friends who hadn't seen each other in a while, in Alisa's case with a hint of relief at seeing the expectant mother unharmed. Her child would need her more than the country's citizens. But she had every right of wondering how the war had gone in her absense, and in this case, Alisa's disappointment betrayed her answer before she put it to words:

"Not good... Their revolution turned into a striking success...", answered the sculptress, shaking her head, even rubbing her temple with an apologetic hint. Still, a sigh of relief escaped her when she mentioned the only silver lining in all this, "Not many people died, thankfully, though we could have obviously done more."

She said no words of the new king's supposed promise to end slavery, for Alisa still believed the desire for cheap, expendable manpower wouldn't go anywhere soon. So long as the powerless still needed food on their table and money to purchase it with, the powerful could still find a way of enslaving them as necessary.

"Mm, good idea~", smile widening, Alisa and Lumen too the cue and sat down at the table, the sculptress feeling a hint of surprise at seeing the redhead alone. The blonde companion seemed especially protective of her, and the artist naturally wondered why he wasn't around. Alice answered that unspoken question though, explaining how she was a month to soon. So that's why she didn't look pregnant! Face lit up with joy and realization alike, Alisa could only answer, "Oh, congratulations~! Is it a boy or a girl?"

Captivated by the budding conversation, she soon leaned over the table slightly, folding her arms under her bust and resting on her elbows, eyes glued on the new mother. She did indeed still have that maternal glow about her, and now that she noticed it she looked somewhat tired too. Nothing a good meal and a long night's rest couldn't fix, though her kid may not allow for much of the latter...

Alice couldn't help but nod at the visible disappointment that Alisa showed, she had expected so thanks to the speech of the new Emperor, the one she got as a letter in Orchidia. "It's good to think in a positive way. Though I do not agree with the handling of the new emperor, perhaps he wouldn't be such a bad man." But she wasn't entirely sure about that, actions and words had been very different as she had said to Tori and Akira as well. That didn't make it easier to form an opinion, the man clearly had made his mistakes and the speech seemed to be build in a romantic world that didn't exist. "Only time will tell again I'm afraid." Thanks to her conversation with Akira she was a little bit afraid something might happen to the Rune Knights and the bunch of friends she had there. Perhaps it had been a very wise decision proven once again that she had joined the Holy Knights.

Everyone seemed to be asking the same question as soon as Alice told people she wasn't pregnant anymore and she couldn't help but chuckle a little because here would the surprised reaction come again; "Both to be exact. I got a boy and a girl." Which was a 'funny' story as she had never realized she got twins and no doctor had told her, probably assuming the previous one had done it, she hadn't known herself. She was tired and still considering what to do about breakfast or lunch the following morning but she was happy and rather satisfied with the situation and it definitely could have gotten worse.

She took a sip of her chai latte and sighed, it felt so good to have a moment to sit down. "I got my hands full on them but thank god my companions are a great help. Hecate found some herbs like Lumen did and is now sort of my personal nanny." Because Hecate wanted to be, sometimes Alice still wondered why.

"This is the same man who ordered the execution of our guild master.", Alisa frowned after a disapproving shake of her head, clearly not subscribing any ideas that a man's apparent good intention excuse the lives he claimed to achieve them. The blissfully uninvolved rest of the world may love him, but he'd still need to answer to those he wronged, for those he killed.

For this sculptress, they obviously didn't and whatever position of power he might have conquered wouldn't protect him either. The same unyielding nature powering her indomitable will also prevented Alisa from ever abandoning her desire to kill that man. He may have become the King in the meantime, yet that only made him a harder target... After all, this same man clearly agreed with killing a sinful king, and openly preached platitudes as 'The only ones who should kill are those prepared to die'... Idiots who believe they alone decide who lives and who dies seldom last long; Fiore didn't need a revolution to drive that point home.

She sighed, she knew better than to publicly debate regicidal plans, even if she doubted Alice cared much about this man and his health, Alisa didn't wish to involve her in a personal vendetta either... Especially after she'd just given birth to not one but two children, who needed her more than anybody else in the country.

"Oh my... So you earned twice the trouble for the price of one huh~?", Alisa teased with a playful chuckle, as Lumen would have looked at the new mother quite curiously in between eating her macarons, perhaps wishing to see the children herself? He interest further grew when Alice mentioned Hecate, and Alisa's words expressed Lumen's interest for her, "I'd feel thankful for such a stroke of luck. In the end you have two children, but also two caretakers~", with this, her eyes widened softly as she remembered a lingering question, raising one hand to cup her cheek, "That reminds me, will you still get married this month»"

Alice nodded, it wouldn't be smart to discuss the emperor in the middle of Crocus street or anywhere else for that matter. She had her family to protect, and not as much Kon as the children. But she nodded at the very least to see that she agreed with Alisa, she surely had not forgotten that. This is why she still didn't trust the issue at hand, "These actions ask for counter actions." was all she said, with that she meant that it wasn't possible that such a man could just take the throne and not be punished for the crimes beforehand, he was the emperor though, unreachable for the law. However apart from that, he had made a challenge for others to try and grab the throne, she definitely didn't think they were now in a save and peaceful land at the moment. But safety went for everything and even if it wasn't her own in the first place, she had to place herself in the second because she wanted to be there for her babies.

She couldn't help but laugh a little with Alisa her tease and she nodded, "Yes that was quite a surprise. Only the last doctor told me, at the point of labour that is." Which explained a few more things later as she had gone over with it with the doctor. The point that she was alone and the point that she couldn't stop crying. She hated crying, even when the doctor had said it was just normal, she couldn't stop and she had hated that moment, but that was all quickly forgotten considering the little babies, with one not being expected and with no names for either.

She told Alisa about the herbs that changed Hecate as well and gave a short look at Lumen who was eating macarons again, she looked for some reason different but Alice couldn't place it at the moment and looked back at Alisa, "Definitely, I have no idea what I would have done without them." While she took a sip of her tea, she got the question about the wedding and looked at the cup, she wasn't really disappointed because she understood very well why but yet there was this tingling feeling of being disappointed, "Ah, no. We had to postpone the wedding because of what happened here as well as our current home situation. We have to make sure the children are alright as well as that our house is ready. We had been separate for a month because Kon was here and well I was save in Orchidia."

After all the last emperor was also unreachable by the law until someone killed him and took his place. In the end, when one wanted to kill an emperor, they'd need a different one to take his place... Hopefully a better one, who could correct all the wrongs wrought by his predecessor. Preferably someone high up in the line of succession, but if need one could always create a new dynasty.

They'd have plenty of time to think about this later however, and if things went well maybe someone would remove this emperor from the throne in the meantime. However, Alisa realized just how much she needed to train if she was gonna get past this emperor's guards. Zade in particular, was ridiculously strong, and she suspected he hadn't been the one to kill Master Lance. Between him, Theseus, and that other force, and possibly the emperor himself, they had quite the group to contend with...

"Impressive, you must have been quite surprised...", she nodded, casually eating a macron from Lumen's dish, and ordering herself a cup of coffee next time the waiter passed by... She looked a bit disappointed to hear the wedding had postponed, but understood it, nodding and rubbing her chin as she commented, "True, I imagine both the war and an extra child might have thrown a wrench in that plan... Have you decided on a new date, however?"

Alisa clearly saw no end to her curiosity, though part of that came from a minimal desire to plan her life ahead; something with the dimension of a wedding party required a bare minimum of planning, no matter how much she'd rather simply go with the flow...

She stirred with Alisa her own help towards another conversation, perhaps at another moment they could talk more about it, of course she had not been emotional involved as she had not been part of a guild and thus had no idea what it meant to lose a guildmaster, she had been mostly independed however apart from that, she did agree that it was wrong. She looked interested at Alisa, wondering what she was thinking, even after meeting a handful of times she didn't know Alisa that well yet. But she did trust her to consider her actions well enough before doing something, they had fought together against a demon in Era. No one had probably asked her but protecting against evil what this Emperor could be considered as well, might be a good thing to think about it a little more.

"At that point of the labour, I definitely didn't like hearing I wasn't there yet but now it's all good. He is a wonderful little man." Which was maybe a very strange thing to say but she definitely felt already a connection with both of them and the warmth that they gave her in return, plus the sleepless nights and the guilt when she was out at moments like this and she couldn't help but look up at the clock to see how late it was right now. She didn't plan to immediately go away from Alisa but still, it kept creeping up on her all the time.

She nodded slightly, "In the last month I had to redo the baby room and now I suddenly needed a second." She shook her head slightly, "So the house needs a edit as well but we plan to have it in the summer. Than the house would be done and guest can stay and the square will be done so we can have the wedding outside. I must say I’m glad it was postponed a little, thanks to Arisa I only found my dress a week ago.” Which came to the second point, she had to ask Tori for the maid of honour, ”We are thinking about getting a definite date while we are now in Crocus. So I hope to let you know soon, but apart from that, I don’t know how to say this, I wondered if you would want to become one of my bridesmaids.” Okay that was out, she didn’t know why she was so uncomfortable by asking something like that.

So the boy was the youngest huh...? Well, youngest in this case meant little more than a few minutes difference, but surely the older of the two would make full use of those minutes when the sibling fights inevitably started. Well, Alisa never had siblings of her own, but she did remember watching her father and uncle, how even two pleasant, ordinarily peaceful men could suddenly turn fearsome when a truly heated fight erupted between the two... Such events were few and far between

"I can imagine~ I should meet them one of these days.", Alisa added, shooting a cursory glance at Lumen whose own amber eyes seemed filled with wonder and curiosity, "Looks like Lumen would enjoy meeting them as well."

She had a lovely, dreamy little plan already... Alisa didn't even speak, instead she simply pictured the image her redheaded friend drew for her, resting her chin on her interlocked fingers as she admired Alice at her most beautiful; when she discussed her family life. The maternal glow defenitely helped, but the more she spoke with her the more Alisa felt she truly was a family kind of person... Alisa was more of a hedonist herself, doing whatever felt right in the heat of the moment, which in turn lead her to travel around the country, choose the destination on a whim. She did most things on a whim anyway...

Whatever plans she bothered making usually went on for years, one might hardly call them plans, rather, goals.

Alice was glad to hear that Alisa would want to meet her little children and she smiled happily about that. She didn't want to bother her friends with two little babies that could only cry and ask for her attention, which is already why she felt guilty for mentioning them and also for being away from them for far too long, she was very tired, also because she didn't sleep for the hours that she should but she had a couple of things to do. She looked with a happy glance at Lumen as well, "Well if you want we can go a little later, I bet they are still asleep though." She wasn't sure if she was now pushing her luck and that Alisa had only been polite but Lumen did look very interested.

If people would reflect on the conversation that she was having, they could tell her that she had changed in a year, during the pregnancy mostly. where she realized that she was able to think ahead instead of only go with action, which was something she always had done and there sure where moments when she had to realize that she had to change, think first and after that work out what the better plan would be. She had no idea what she would become in that case, what the future would make her, but only time would tell.

She told Alisa about her dress issue, about the house, noting down in her mind that Alisa knew Arisa and but she couldn't ask about that, she could only ask her the serious question that she had, the one she had to ask to two people and Alisa at the moment was the first, "Oh well I'm already glad you accepted." Which was really what made her so deligted that she held on to her own hands and tried not to clap out of this enthusiastic wave. She finished her tea and still had to think about the breakfast that she wanted to have with her little family.

She looked pretty happy to hear about Alisa's interest, a sight that only made the sculptress feel happier for her. She wondered how the powerful knight might juggle her maternal duties with her official ones, and hopefully the ever bureaucratic Council could give her the leeway she needed. She doubted the redhead might want any special treatment, though her children obviously required.

"Mmm, sounds like a lovely idea~", woman and Lampent nodded in near unison at her offer; indeed it looked like her intentions were genuine. Why should her friend's kids be complete strangers to her? Not like she was considering they might one day befriend her own children, no way she'd ever go through that ordeal...

As her coffee arrived, she took a good, long, appreciating sip, smile widening as she mentally jotted down the name of this bakery. Far better coffee than she expected to find, and she found herself appreciating it, drinking far slower than she normally might. Despite Alice's reassurance, the sculptress seemed wholly convinced that honor came with its own set of responsibilities, and looked ready to accept them. But that in turn, begged a question... Just how might she help?

"Hmmm, ow about a bachelorette party...?", inquired the sculptress, eyes trailing up with a pondering look as a finger moved to her chin. No doubt she already had someone working on that end, yet that hardly stopped Alisa from helping out, did it? Perhaps if she could learn who Alice had picked as her maid of honor, she could get in touch with that person... Which could easily turn into a tall order if she dropped a name she didn't know about, "Maybe your maid of honor is already preparing something of the sort?"

Once more, Alisa rested her cheek on her palm as she took another macaron from Lumen's dish, while the Lampent merely puffed her cheeks cutely as the second treat left her reach...

Realizing that she should actually nap as well made her yawn, but she quickly hid that behind her hands and quickly taking a sip of her chai tea after that. She should definitely rest more, that's also what Hecate said and the doctor but she had always been stubborn, she didn't have any duty at the moment, Midas left her alone and she was just mostly going out shopping and taking a breather before heading back and mostly sleep, she happened to bump into people she knew now that she arrived in Crocus. But apart from that she was really happy that someone wanted to meet her little ones, she had talked about them to others, didn't offer to show them or take someone along, she wasn't sure who would be up for babies.

When the coffee that Alisa ordered was brought she decided that she would have to make a decision and ordered some croissants and fancy baguettes for take-out for later. Because she would be able to make something nice tomorrow, don't ask her how in winter but she got her hands on some strawberries and she could make something nice for them all, also as a thank you to Hecate. She turned her eyes back to Alisa as she asked about the bachelorette party and she shook her head, "To be honest I haven't thought about it, besides eh.." she looked away for a second, "I haven't fuond the opportunity yet to ask the maid of honour to be the maid of honour, I don't want to send it in a letter after all. I don't know if you know Tori Lancaster?" Alice looked at Lumen her reaction and giggled shortly, "I would hopefully see her soon and ask her, but a.. a bachelorette party sounds fun." What did they actually do at such things? She obviously never thought about things like that, never planned a wedding, that was more Kon, in the end.

As the redhead yawned, Alisa could only look at her and wonder just how much had her kids been keeping her awake in the past few weeks, shuddering at the thought. Sure, with all her strength and full awareness of Alice's, she'd no doubt the new mother could handle it... Alisa for one wouldn't go without her beauty sleep though. Good thing she had her companions to help out; unfortunately, the tall woman's helfulness ended where babysitting began.

Picking yet another macaron from Lumen's plate, the Lampent eventually resigned, sighing cutely and sharing her food with a smile. Sweets might be her weakness, but she was still a sweet little girl in the end. Meanwhile, Alice too ordered herself some extra food to take, as she now has an extra set of mouths to feed. Not that the kids could eat any of that yet, but still...

Much to her surprise, Alice had yet to think of a bachelorette party, making Alisa's smile widen somewhat proudly to have found a good place to help out in, "Guess I was right to mention it... I do hope you weren't planning on going without one~", she's tease, smirking as her eyes narrowed. Even more critically, she had yet to find her maid of honor, though she could give a name for Alisa do her research later. Tori Lancaster huh... Name didn't ring any bells, "I can't say I have...", she confessed, somewhat disappointed

Her determination hardly wavered however, so she'd have to meet this woman and see if she was planning anything. Probably... Hopefully... Alisa damn well hoped she did.

"Well, let me know when you find her~", she concluded, winking at the redhead and petting her partner, "Seems to me we have a party to plan."

Alice corrected herself soon enough because yawning was rude, it would perhaps give up the feeling the other person was a bore, but she knew that Alisa knew her well enough not to think that. "Sorry, I think I should definitely sleep more." She said because it was still polite to apologize. She smiled none the les though, it was nice to be out and seeing friends, "I should thank my nannies for their hard work." she said after ordering fresh bread for tomorrow, or perhaps a little later, she would see, especially wonder when Kon would be home.

"Oh well I think it is a part of the whole wedding right, so I would definitely not cancel it, I just haven't thought about it in general." She smiled and took a sip of her chai, "A lot have suddenly changed, and made everything more difficult, it never even crossed my mind." She looked a bit embarrassed, the pregnancy, having no dress nor time for the real wedding, and thus no wedding invitations had really stressed her out. With now postponing the wedding it had all relaxed a little more. The thing was that Alisa didn't know Tori, which was on one hand a good thing, so she couldn't accidentally tell Tori if she hadn't been able to reach her sooner but still, "I will write her a letter to catch up again as soon as possible." She grinned though, the idea of the bachelorette party sounded like fun.

No, Alisa not for a moment assumed she was boring the other person. Loads of vanity and a tad bit of narcissism will do that to you. She understood the kind of exhausting effort raising two newborns may be, even though she'd never done so herself or ever remotely dream of doing it.

"It's quite alright~", reassured Alisa, waving her hand dismissively in front of her, a wholly understanding look on her face. Even if she had all those nannies to help, her children depend on Alice first and foremost, and Alisa obviosuly understood that, expressing it in simple words, "No nanny can every replace their mother~"

Fortunately, Alisa needn't tire her out any further by persuading her of the importance of the bacherlorette party. The only pre marital tradition an unfettered, independent woman could truly abide by. So she'd help her with her last night of freedom. For a moment, Alisa figured this might be the best she could do for Alice, but then she remembered her last night of freedom had been 9 months ago.

"Good~ Then I'll make sure you'll have a night to look back onto for the rest of your life.", Alisa stated with full confidence, leaving how it would either be that or a night she wouldn't able to remember. That doesn't sound very promising now, does it? She sipped her coffee, entertaining herself by watching Lumen as she casually munched on her macarons. And finally nodded, "I can imagine... Suddenly you have a whole new bundle of joy... And responsibility~"

Chuckling at her little quip, her thoughts soon drifted back to the maid of honor... what kind of person would Alice pick for one such role...? The curiosity was killing her.

"Guess I'll call a rain check on meeting up with her...", concluded Alisa, leaning back on her chair and crossing her legs, then her arms, neatly folded under her bust as she resigned herself to not meeting this woman. She could wait thought, Alisa was a patient woman when she tried. And more importantly, Alice seemed excited about this idea.

Meeting Alisa a couple of times in a handfull of months, she was always glad for their meetings, they were always fun and she felt a bonding that had not only come because of fighting against a threat in Era, she smiled, glad her friend was okay with her yawning, and that she understood that little children brought out that tired sense and hard working even if she was sleeping most of the time. But she always seemed to bump into people that take the meetings longer and that surely made her more tired, but it was worth it. Seeing her friends, definitely was worth it, the moments to relax, to not be a mother. Not that she regretted that, seeing her little children when she would arrive home was always a blessing too. She nodded when Alisa mentioned that a mother couldn't be replaced, especially not with feeding most of the time as well as that she wanted to bond with her children, "The first few days, I felt so guilty for leaving them, just to get a quick walk, a breath of air. Everything changed so quickly, it takes some more time to adapt to all that." She couldn't help but let it slip out, perhaps it was time to say things she felt, to have her concerns out in the open to her friends, so they could be gone, thanks to good advice and the like. By being nothing more than short worries.

As they talked about the bachelorette party, she couldn't help but grin, "I surely look forward to that party as well as the later memories." She would have no idea how it worked but Tori and Alisa, she bet the two of them would work it out in the end and that made her rather satisfied, she was stressed about the wedding before, especially because of the quick timing but as everything was falling into place, it would only get better. She nodded on the responsibility bit, stating again that so much has changed. "Thank god I'm not alone." which was not only her companions but as well as Kon and she took the last sip of her tea, "All I need to figure out is how I would ever get back to work, it seems so useless at this point."

Quite the interesting listen for Alisa, a loner who had relatively few people to call friends... Among them, Alice was the first to have children of her own, though she somewhat recalled Arisa being pregnant at one point. But was she really...? Whoever said so hardly looked credible, so that probably wasn't true. Alisa found it easier to believe that than knowing her best friend had actually miscarried.

"You have time though. And extra pairs of hands to help you along the way.", she reassured, placating her friend's worries as soon as they appeared with that smooth, elegant voice, "It'll get easier as they grow bigger. Before you know it, they'll be trying to do everything themselves~"

Alisa had already lost all ability to speak from experience here, but then, one hardly needed to be a parent to learn all of this, merely think back on themselves at a younger age.

"You won't be disappointed.", guarenteed the sculptress, as confident as ever, already drafting up plans on what manner of memorable events she could put out on one such party beyond an endless of flow of drinks. Alice, however, had far more serious concerns on her mind, mainly whether or not she could go back to work. At this point though, she had to disagree, nodding in approval at the last bit, "You said it all. You'll always have enemies to arrest, but your kids won't be children forever."

She had a pretty clear idea of what the redhead's priorities ought be right now, and suspected deep down Alice knew them just as easily. She should focus on herself for once, her life, her children, her wedding... If the Rune Knights couldn't make do without her while she tended to her own life, then things were even worse than she though. With a little luck, maybe the new King would get assassinated before Alisa's close friend actually had to work for him.

Alice couldn't help but laugh yes, she was lucky to have Kon as well as Hecate to help her out and perhaps later she could work parttime, as she rather would stay home but having twins would surely be expensive too but she would see how it goes, she definitely didn't feel the need to go on missions and the like very hard now and if Midas would give her some time it wouldn't be necessary to be forced. She chuckled a little when Alisa pointed out that before she knew it, the two would do whatever they wanted by themselves, "Oh sure, with the stubborness of their parents, I'm sure that time comes soon when they can walk, talk and so on but right now I can just enjoy that moment before and of course enjoy that moment as well." For the first time she remembered something casual, not related to her but that people in the orphanage used to say that the children seemed to be growing so quickly and she understood a little more now what they meant and in the future she would experience it soon enough. It was a shame she had no family, no one to show her children to, if only she knew where her cousin Selena was.

As she finished her chai tea latte a couple of seconds ago, she would sit a bit more, wait for her order to arrive and talk a little more to Alisa, nodding and answering "At the moment, I just want to be home with them most of the time." She had done a job in baska, days after, which had been very heavy and painful the day after but as long as she wont be gone for more than a few hours she could handle it, she was sure of that. When she was sure that her friend finished her coffee, she offered to go to the apartment that she was renting to show off little Tanya and Anton.

She would just talk a bit more to her friend and with that Lumen when they agreed to come along. Of course the children were asleep as little babies do a lot but she let them watch for shortly, yawning herself again and mentioning their names, for her it was so clear who was who already. When Alisa left not much later, Alice simply fell on her own bed asleep after putting the bread away into the kitchen, she could use a nap herself.

Yes, Alisa had full awareness of her friend's headstrong nature, and the two shared a pleasant laughter at how troublesome Alice might have it should her kids take after her. Never having properly met the woman's husband, she wasn't really in any position to comment on what they might have gotten out of him:

"...The time when they'll want to go out and fight even when they should be home resting~", Alisa teased, winking, a playful nudge at her friend's ever present military activity well into her pregnancy. Knowing her, the sculptress guessed she'd have tried to live her ordinary life until the weight of her unborn children wholly prevented it.

Perhaps sooner than that, at very moment she felt her children might be endangered by her lifestyle. Now more than ever Alisa wanted to meet these two kids, already phoenomenal people despite their young age if they managed to slow the redhead's pace down. She had a strong, laudable sense of duty but indeed Alisa sometimes hoped Alice would put herself and her family ahead of strangers, and especially ahead of work.

"As you should...", finishing her coffee shortly after Lumen finished her macarons, Alisa put the cup down and pushed back the chair back, standing up with a bright, soothing smile, "Well then, let's not keep them waiting any longer, shall we~?"

Of course she could understand her friend's wishes, and though they hadn't caught up in a long time, the red Knight's maternal instinct than her desire for companionship. Thus, she'd and Lumen followed her along to her apartment. Having exahusted the more serious conversation topics, they instead entertained themselves discussing the weather or this and that anecdote. In her home, Alisa found both beautiful babies fast asleep. She's call a rain check on actually picking them up, so she could tease them 10 years from now by mentioning how she'd held them as babies~

Seeing Alice yawning more and more as time went on, Alisa simply excused herself with whatever she figured she must do next, giving her friend a long, reassuring hug. She'd be there for Alice and her children if the redhead called on her for whatever reason... That's what friends are for right? Meanwhile, she had bachelorette party to arrange
