The chill tranquil air of the vicinity engulfed her as she stood there underneath the night sky, shielded by the white gazebo. Sparks of vivid blue lightning were all she could see as she stared up at the clear night sky, being taken back to the memories of that day. Till now, she hadn’t figured out what had happened to her but she was more than determined to find out as compassion, empathy and determination seeped through her body upon the recall action of those memories that embodied her mind that day. She got to see those that she never did, those whom she missed so dearly and those who had a huge part to play in her life but never was she even aware of their existence. The knight was able to watch her parents and their partners in their splendid crimes live through moments of happiness and sadness, joy and despair. She watched as her parents, the people who birthed her, fell in love and created her. She watched everything but unfortunately, she was unable to help them when they needed her the most and she was unable to laugh and play with them when she wanted to because she was nothing more than an observer. But still, she couldn’t help but wonder why that happened. Why was she shown her past? And by who? The only name that rings a bell in her mind, or rather, without her wanting to, keeps popping up in her head in Raijin. The blonde wasn’t even aware of who he was but the past self, the one who was vulnerable and weak was able to recall him. And he was Raijin, the god of thunder. This brought her to more questions but before anything, it was the rush of adrenaline that made her want to try it out.

Shutting her fluttering eyelids, she steadied her breathing and slowly, through the darkness, she could see dorks of blue lightning that replaced her usual yellow one. The female felt her heart shatter into pieces but somehow, this lightning felt more familiar. Without wasting any time, she uttered the word, “Kaminari”. Suddenly, she felt so different but so similar to her usual self at the same time. Opening those lilac eyes that had now turned a shade or two darker than their original colour, she tilted her head, evidently noticing that her blonde hair was a few shades darker and much longer than she last expected. Looking further down, she saw the greenish blue armor covering her body and sparks of lightning flew around her. Behind her were pairs of drums which her mind and memory told her belonged to Raijin, but now, belonged to me. That alone confused Xandra as she looked straight ahead, noticing the rush of adrenaline, the urge to get stronger and the thirst for power. She wanted to become stronger, that was her only choice and if it meant using this foreign lightning, that’s what she was going to do.

She couldn’t help but smile as she recalled the words of her father, the man who raised her when he was still alive. The blonde knew that it was her mother who taught the man Lightning magic that he had converted into his own but the things he said back then finally started to make sense now. The yellow lightning that he harbored and manifested so well through mana was what he taught her and instead of actually learning the child version of the blonde had simply copied it, mastering the man’s own unique magic. He had always told her to find her own magic, Be it from inside her or outside, and make it hers. Nothing would work if she doesn’t have the passion to make this magic hers. Her determination strengthened as she did indeed want to make this magic hers. This blue lightning, be it Raijin or whoever that was controlling it, would belong to her; she would be the one in control and no one could stop her. In order to accomplish her goals, she needs to be strong and for that strength, she needs to train.

Alas, she had magic so why not test it out? She was nervous, no doubt as she stared straight ahead at the empty landscape before her, her determination strengthened. Inhaling a deep breath, she wondered what she could do with this magic. Rotating her right foot on her toes, she whispered, "Bolt". Without a moment to spare, she moved her left leg backwards into a running position and tapped her right foot on the ground. Sparks of blue lightning surrounded her feet but instantly disappeared, leaving her confused and dejected. Why hadn't it worked? Perhaps the magic power itself was reluctant to let her make use of it but that didn't stop the blonde Knight. She was far too determined to care any longer. Evidently displaying the firmness of her will, she concentrated her mana in her feet. She was going to make it work. Repeating the same action she did previously, the woman launched her left foot after her feet were engulfed with lightning only to land a distance of 3 meters away from her previous position. A groan of frustration left her lips as she wasn't willing to give up.

She had to do this someone, regardless of how many times she would have to try. Inhaling another sharp breath, she shut her eyes before letting the frustrated beats of her heart calm down. Reopening them, she stared ahead at the empty green planes as the great baska rock laid in her view underneath the darkness of the sky, illuminating which were the stars and her own tiny streaks of lightning. She looked up to stare at the moon, noticing it being hidden behind the dark, gloomy clouds but Xandra wasn't going to be like that. She was going to shine and if that meant getting stronger, if that meant rigorous training, if that meant multiple tries, so be it. Nothing could stop her. Whispering yet again the word 'bolt', she concentrated her magic on her feet and viola, her attempt was successful as within 0.5 seconds, she landed 10 meters away from her previous position.

Although her second attempt resulted in a success, she couldn't let it get to her. The blonde knew that a simple spell like that would barely be able to help her. In order to get stronger, she had to train, more than she possibly ever did before. The Knight was always reliant on her physical strength but it was about time that she made this magic hers and relied on it. She had to use it to survive in this world brimming with mages who could attack her or fight against her any time, exposing her vulnerabilities. To do that, she had to get rid of all her vulnerabilities. That was her only option.

In fact, she herself refused to have another option besides that. There was a reason for everything, or so she believed. Whatever the reason may be for the incident that induced this godly magic within her, she was given the opportunity to become stronger. Her entire life was displayed to her, from the things she couldn't remember to the moments where her existence wasn't even guaranteed. However, watching the brutality that her family, that her father, Alexander Dreier had to face. He had worked so hard to raise her into a perfect warrior, into a perfect woman but had died an unknown death. This made her even more skeptical. She had to do things to avenge her parents and that did not include killing anyone because that's not the way she was taught. She was going to change the system of Rune Knights.

Yet again, inhaling a deep breath, she thought of movements that would perhaps help her in battle, help her attack her enemies and assist in swiftly dodging their attacks. She racked her brain in ways of thinking. What could she do? She had never been good at defense and Alexander never taught her that. Instead, he always told her to run away from any attack launched her way because she probably wouldn't be able to cast a defensive spell, considering her magic too. So she had to rely of speed and efficient movement. However, the question arose here. How could she gain efficient movement?

Then it struck her. Steadying her breath, she shut her eyes briefly before reopening them. Placing one leg backwards, she launched into a run towards the lone tree that stood there. As her legs moved in a running motion, she clapped her hands together, "Impestus" and concentrated her mana on her right hand as she closed in on the tree, hoping to avoid it but alas, luck was against her as she went and crashed straight into the tree. Groaning upon the sudden impact, she sighed. This was tougher than she thought but she had to do it. Jumping back a few steps till she was almost in her previous position, she tightened her fists. She was going to do it again and the urge to emerge victorious was stronger than before. Once again, she tried the same thing yet again, launching herself towards the tree. As she ran, she clapped her hands, murmuring the same word again as she held out her right hand to her side. Collecting the mana in her hand, she felt sparks of lightning surround her hands as she released some of it as she neared the tree.

A burst of lightning left her palm, pushing her towards her left side, against the motion of her hand as she ran and causing her to swiftly avoid the tree. A smile of triumph lined her lips. She was getting somewhere. However, this was just the beginning, there was a lot more to do. Without wasting any more time, she closed her eyes, emptying her mind and going into a sort of calm state. This godly magic made her feel strong but she couldn't solely rely on that reason. She had to further enhance this magic and steal it from Raijin, making it hers. She had to become one with the magic.

The blonde could feel the mana flow through her body as she opened those lilac eyes once again, ready to train further. Practice makes perfect and the best way for her to make her claim over this magic was to formulate her own spells, her own unique way of using those spells. Her facial expressions hardened as she concentrated, taking a look around her. Noticing a large rock, not too big but giant enough to even cause her effort in order to lift, an idea struck her mind. She stood about six meters away from the rock, stiffening her body and staring directly at it. She raised her right hand so that her palm was facing the rock right in the center. Concentrating her mana in her hand, she attempted to release lightning in the hopes of being able to knock the rock backwards but alas that didn't happen.

She stood there foolishly raising her hand but nothing happened. This magic appeared to be a lot harder to tame than she had anticipated but she too was not someone who would simply give up because of one failed try. This just meant she had to try again and try harder this time. Clenching her hand into a fist, she opened it again, "Electric Drive". Concentrating mana in her palm yet again as her eyes focus on the target before her and she watches sparks of lightning begin to engulf the rock. It's working. She inwardly gave herself a pat on the back but did not hinder her concentration in the slightest. However, luck seemed to have a bone to pick with her as the lightning sparks soon died down without doing anything whatsoever. A frustrated groan escaped her lips as she found herself getting irritated.

Why was this magic acting up so much? But regardless, she would not stop trying no matter what. Holding her hand down, she raised her other hand out, she repeated the same action, using the same phrase to initiate the spell. She knew exactly what she wanted to do and she was going to accomplish that. Once again, sparks of lightning engulfed the grey dirty rock as she wanted it to. Tensing her hand a bit, she slightly propelled it forward, enough for it to clearly go unnoticed. This managed to do the trick as it sent the rock flying 10 meters away from it's original position. She did it.

Although her mind was in a state of triumph, accepting the fact that regardless of the level of difficulty, she was able to overcome it, the female decided to toughen it up a notch for herself. There was no point in standing around and celebrating the fact that she was able to perform simple spells. She had to become better and more often than she’d like, becoming better meant putting others down. In a world of Mages, she had to defeat others and climb to the top tier in order to become powerful. Never had she thought about comparing herself to others but now, she couldn’t deny the fact that the stronger survive and the weaker don’t. As much as she disliked having to climb over others if she could, she knew that she had to in order to truly become society’s standard of strong. If and when she did that, then would be truly be able to make a difference, she would truly be able to make the changes she wanted to make. Nobody could stop her, not when she was in the top tier and so that’s what she aimed to do.

To defeat others, she knew she’d have to attack them. She had to do whatever she could in order to become stronger and push them down, hurt or injure them. The female was never someone who believed in people’s evil sides. She knew that every person had a bad side but she focused on what made them good. Even when it came to dark Mages, she would often abandon her duties to those that others call criminals, or those that break the lands law without a moment of hesitation as long as no one is hurt. Her parents were people who played a huge factor in that. They never did anything wrong, in fact they helped the weak but because they had broken these so called laws, they were killed brutally. The blonde never even got the chance to see them.

Thinking about this strengthened her determination more that she imagined. The knight found herself wanting to grow even stronger than she had intended before, not just to change this brutal and unjust system that controls the Knights of this land but also to be able to protect and help those who are far weaker than her. There was nothing that could stop her. When she thought she was determined before, she forgot about those factors. If only she knew how far her dreams and goals could push her. As she recalled those experiences, she realized that there are indeed some people who deserved to be hurt. Those who unjustly hurt and harm others have no place in her heart and deserve no mercy, they were the people she had to bring down and she needed to train her magic for that.

With stone cold eyes swimming in a sea of passion and determination, she heaved a large breath. Lifting up her right finger, she pointed it towards the same tree that she had ran into mere moments ago. She imagined the tree as her enemy. If it were to attack her or her colleagues, threatening to harm them, what would she do? Without a second to waste, she muttered the words, “Lightning Spike" concentrating a portion of her mana into her finger that was pointed out. She was so hellbent in doing this successfully, imagining a scenario which set fire in her heart, igniting the flames of drive. There was no way she would fail.

The second the words left her mouth, she was driven into a state of calm mingling with anger. A three centimeter thick, vivid blue colored string of lightning escaped her fingers and travels towards the tree which laid approximately twenty meters away from her. She watched the string travel from her finger, through the air and towards the wooden tree which it attacked exactly one second later. It all happened so fast, leaving her in dismay. She sauntered over towards the wooden tree that became a victim of her assault and gaze at it, caressing the area that she had attacked. It was pierced. Although she couldn’t tell exactly how deep the lightning had struck, she could estimate that it was about two to three centimeters. If it were this much on hard wood, how much would it hurt a human being. She was more than happy, considering that her determination had paid off sincerely.

However, this wasn't the end of it. She needed to train more than she though she had to. It wasn't enough. To raise herself to the top tier, she needed more than anything, to be able to defeat her opponents. Those who harm others and injure innocent people needed to be destroyed, those who took advantage of the weak to complete their evil tasks needed to be destroyed and that's what the female planned to do. Once again, her fingers caressed over the rough surface of the wooden free, letting the tiny splints harshly brush against her skin as she did so.

Slamming her hand flat on the tree, she could feel it prickle against her skin as she slowed down her beating heart rate that escalated because of the rush of adrenaline that coarse through her body. This wasn't good, she was starting to get a little too happy and much more confident than she would have liked. Before anything else, she had to bring this down because if she didn't, overconfidence might lead her to her death.

Shutting her eyes, she walked back a few paces, seating herself on the ground, cross-legged as she took in deep breaths. Opening her eyes, she had no clue as to why she even was in Crocus, brought here through magic but whatever the reason may be, she had to become stronger. As she sat, through the darkness, she could see blue sparks of lightning and over the sound of the blowing breeze, the blonde felt that she heard the sound of someone's breath murmuring the name of the thunder god, Raijin. It seemed as if he was yet again trying to take control over her body but this time, she couldn't let him. The will to stay conscious and to become powerful was too firm to be broken down.

As she heard the word, she resisted, clenching her fists. Reopening her eyes, she hauled herself onto her feet, with irises swimming in determination. This time, she wasn't going to let Raijin take control over her mind, she was going to be the one in control. That was her only way of accomplishing her goal. No one could stop her. Holding out her right hand diagonal to the ground, she placed the fingers on her left hand over her elbow, focusing her mana on the lower part of her right arm.

Her breaths became rigid and fast as she didn't look anywhere but on her arm. Whispering the words, "Rapier Shaft", she watched as sparks of lightning engulfed her lower arm, surrounding it and swirling through it like it was the eye of a hurricane. It slowly extended to the tip of her hand, forming a kind of electric blade that was made purely of lightning. She then raised her hand parallel to the ground, holding it up pointed towards the tree. Within a second, the blade launched from her hand and attacked the tree, once again piercing through it before returning back to the length of her arm. As soon as it did, she launched herself into a run, reaching the tree in 1.5 seconds where she stabbed it, yet again piercing it.

Her magic was proving to be quite handy. She finally felt like she had control over her magic. As she felt weaker, she found herself transforming back into herself from her takeover mode, once again clad in a pair of black jeans and a white shirt.
