Overall: He is an average sized man, with black hair, dark coloured eyes and relatively light or pale skin. He has a lean physique and when not doing his favourite passtime he likes to dress fairly nondescript, anything that doesnt catch a persons attention and tries to appear rather bland. When he is working his favourite pass time and 'writting stories', he dresses in a black outfit made for stealth, which makes him look like a joyan ninja, but with a twist. He actually has a screaming expression pale ghost mask. The fact the mask is white means that it will most likely be the only thing to be seen and thus induce a sense of horror to whoever spots him passing or keeping tabs

Personality

Personality: To describe him in one word. Deceptive. To describe him in many words, he is like a personality chameleon, knows how to fit in and keep his profile low. He generally introduces himself as a calm, friendly fella. Willing to help his friends and coworkers. Smiling politely, saying hi to people. Getting them drinks like coffee if they need it or some pastry for a brunch meal. He is intelligent and shows people what he wants them to see. To ladies he can be aloof and an enigma they want to uncover and discover, as he tends to friendzone a lot of female companionship. He very rarely lets anyone into his world. And once they get a taste of him. There is no way out.

His true self is actually much more darker and sadistic. Taking pleasure in hunting, stalking and killing. He'd keep an eye on his juicy prey for months, getting know each aspect of their life, before he figures out the perfect way to break in their home and kill them. This was something he did both in Caelum and Minstrel before the local authorities would zone in on him and his identity. Hence his need to change it every time he skips country.
He likes to keep trophies of his little ventures. Each town its own form of trophies. His latest addition being childrens bedtime stories but with a spooky twist.

Likes:

Killing: Has a sadistic glee and immense joy when he gets to kill people. Hence why he keeps tabs on his victims for months if need be. He will relish every moment of the kill, even the preparation.
Writting: He is a skilled writer, having worked as a journalist and a novelist. But a lot of that writing was just being his own hype man to his killer persona. Instilling fear into his readers, creating a legend around himself. Or so thats what he imagines

Dislikes:

Improv: Improvisation means that things went awry, they are not as meticulous and planned as he imagined it. It is bound for more mistakes. It is an error to his design
Parody: He is not a fan of comedy. Especially a form that makes fun of other peoples work. ESPECIALLY if its his work thats the subject of a parody

Magic Description: Darkness Maker magic is a magic that allows the user to create constructs out of their element and sustain them. The constructs can vary and take the shape of creatures, weapons, armor, or even shapes like wings for flight. The users offensive-type spells, save for AoE types, can be sustained to cause damage.

History

History: Born in Caelum, his early life was relatively mundane and peaceful. His mother was loving while his father was more strict, harsh and distant. The only time the two would bond was when his father would tell him scary stories. And he loved it contrary to being scared. Okay, maybe he was scared. But he also loved it. The vivid words. The creepy sounds. The perfectly designed dramatic pauses that made him suddenly conscious of the pounding heartbeat in his ears. Wanting the story to continue and stop at the same time. Uncomfortable. Unsettled. Yet, captivated. And then, the climax! And the rush of adrenaline that followed. Something about his fathers stories was always more special and realistic then any form of fiction he had seen or heard.

Part of him wondered, what would happen if those stories came to life. Or what if he made up his own stories. And thats when the spark started. He went through childhood and teen life with a bit of a struggle as he had a bit of an awkward phase. Learning what was socially acceptable and liked and what wasnt. While he was an unlikable dork in his youth, he did grow to become a fine man. The prospect of story telling compelled him to become a writer. Although his first job was as a journalist where he collected news stories and even investigated news, learning the art of investigative journalism. He even worked for a rough 6 to 12 months as a private detective to help people find the truth. But in reality, he used that job as to hone his craft, stalking and keeping eye on his prey. Sure he helped people, but that was never his motive. Nor was writing mundane stories about Caelish or international news or the weather. He wanted to make his own stories. And one way was to get on the news himself. Once he was ready and got all the skills assembled. He crafted his identity, his outfit and his mask. For a caelish man, his aesthetic was rather joyan. But that was good, to throw the authorities on the wrong track.

Eventually his schemes were found out and he had to flee the country. With one cheeky letter as farewell, he made his escape over to the neighbouring country of Minstrel. There he got citizenship and a new identity with a random minstrel name and set out to learn the language. Once he mastered it, he changed his act up a bit. He became a novellist and continued designing and writing his stories. Cranking up the fear factor.
To fit in the community more, he tried to find a romance that would be his cover, so he can be just your typical nice guy. But his chaotic life would lead to his loved ones that he would grow attached to die. On one occassion he did actually get married and had a child. But his actions costed the life of his wife and he ended up being a widower. He did at least get revenge, but he realized he was very attached to what was supposed to be a cover for him.

He tried to juggle the life of a single father and a serial killer and a novellist. He even would hire a nanny or two to babysit his child while he was working his 'late night job'. But once more after some kills, people would eventually close on him and had to make a nasty exit once more. Moving over to the next country that bordered Minstrel. Joya. There again, new identity and new citizen ship. His latest random name being Shin Miyamoto. Considering he had a young one, this time he was a childrens book author and he wrote his grizzly tales to spook young ones, while in real life he's spook old ones with the edge of his blade.
Eventually seeing he cant keep up the farce of being a parent and a killer, he decided to let go of his young one and put the baby up for adoption. It was an unfortunate time as a war started, but he didnt get to do much about it. Personally he wasnt scuffed on what side to take during the war. He didnt care. Whether it was the old Shogun that Joya had or the new arrival, he was fine with either and was a neutral party. All he cared about was his own safety and his pride and joy of the work he did.

But as the war ended and there was a clear victor, they were forming a new organization. And through a string of events, he was invited to join this group. Although he did reject the offer at first, but hearing that there was an Assassination & Execution Division, he figured why not. He gets to kill people and be allowed to do so. As long as he gets to do it stealthy and with his own tempo, he doesnt mind it. He was sure they were unaware of his true nature and what he exactly was. And he decided to keep it that way. He would keep his true interests a secret and most of his life. Changing, tweaking or embelleshing the story as he see fits. No one needed to know who is Shin or Gaston or Daniel. He was part of the Shinigami Convocation now. Say, Shinigami, now thats a Joyan Death God, right? That sounds like the perfect name for his new identity. The Shinigami.
