Jikan held eye contact with the village chef elder as began to speak. Her ears up and carefully taking in the information before for the task at hand. The man looked soley for a second. As if he was gazing at a past, a past he had long ago grew tired of and wanted to forget. To move on from.

"This settlement of ours has a long history with us. Once were were two sides of the same coin. Kin. But times have changed that. Our people and ourselves have changed that. There is recently a debate on land. Sacred areas in the eyes of both settlements. Ours is the Aitoheiwa meadow. Jikan sat down her eyes up watching the elder as he spoke. Her braining taking the pieces of information given to her. So once again, it was a group of individuals dealing with the consequences of the past. Anger, sadness, fear, resentment. A build up of a compost of their first ill fated downfall of their bond that simply compounded and compounded and compounded. Over each hostile meeting, over each wound made, over each generation,with each new face added to the built up wall of grievances that were simply born within an echo chamber.

Hearing the tales of one side of history. Isolated, learning, hearing, repeating. Nothing more for them and nothing less. In their little bubble their minds, not able to do anything else. Not willing, not able, to try to make something anew, a different path. Perhaps it was impossible for them to, the case of their history too much to overcome.

Or at least too much for them to overcome. That was the reason they had called an outsider to do this after all. Why Jikan was here. Whether this was truly the reality of the situation and them, of a bridge that could never be walked across to its center from both sides; or an illusion from their humanity and flaws. Clouding the rain that would feed and nurious the seeds of change and harmony between them that had slowly been planted and grown over the years, talks, and actions between the two villages?

"Yes yes. That is correct. We were once just one village. A bit of time ago...although it feels so distant to our current relationship and feelings. Its....saddening..", the elder said with a heavy sigh. The brows on their face bunched together tight and yet hanged. Pushed down by the decline of their union and harmony.

Jikan nodded her head and closed her eyes. A serene calmness waving from her she crossed her arms over herself and thought. Her face empty, no frown, no smile. A plain line was what was made from her red lips, only the sound of her soft breathing being present for the elder's ears to hear. "This is indeed an important emotional and cultural factor for both sides of your disjointed villages. But, how did this happen in the first place?", she asked opening her eyes and gazing at the elder. This was, a weird situation and factor in her eyes.

"It was one that was from the decision to separate. Back when the people within the village were at each other necks and wanted to separate. The elders in charge had decided to move. People were divided that wanted to stay and go, and the needed things that were a priority for them were separated. One group valued one thing at the time, and the other a different thing", the elder said picking up a stick. A wooden long and smooth one that was in the circular stone pit.

Slowly the elder moved the stick gradually. Aimlessly drawing in the sand. Or at least that was what Jikan thought the man was doing. The man seemed to be moving without a thought, as if he was letting something carry him. Whether it just looked like that from her point of view,and thus limited to his world view and experience. Or perhaps it was just in an early stage that she could not understand because she did not have the blueprints to it, was something to wonder.

Jikan sat there and watched though. Letting the elder talk his talk with the mental heaviness she was feeling and the additional layers of the emotions that was swirling within the man's heart and mind.

She rather did not care about these details for their core meaning. A conflict between people, who for one reason or another, the kinship and love between them had faded over some instances and were replaced by a rigid stiff dis-content between each other. Perhaps there were additional levels over it. Fighting over food, fighting over pride, fighting over water, maybe even things that could be traded or made into useful things. Whether that was it or not, she did not care about it. But she did want to know. Information as information, buttons that were needed to be avoided. Ideas to twist and caress in the way she weaved her words to her advantage in any way she could.

Understanding information; the people, their reactions likely to happen, and to try and be prepared for the unexpected. These were all valuable things when it came to the question of trying to influence a people. Understanding a people was important in understanding the system they built and existed in. Seeing places to poke at, adept from, and use. And if Jikan wanted to try and take advantage of this situation and gain two allies in the Worth Woodsea area, well, she had to play the chess game.

After doing so, the man tilted his head down. In response to this action, Jikan had moved her head as well, looking down now from the man's gaze. Her head moving in response allowed her to fully see now what the man had been doing. He was not simply pushing a strike through the said, he was not even just drawing. He was mapping. In the time the man had talked to her, he had drafted a landscape picture of the two separate villages.

As her eyes scanned the drawing on the sand, she began to recognize the layout of land that she saw while she was flying overhead earlier with Mia and Maxx. In the middle there was a long path, several houses of various sizes, flowing streams that met into a few different ponds. Lots of trees, greenery that was ever expanding. But there was more here now, much more that Jikan had not seen before when she was in the sky.

There we lanes, turns, even twists. The eyes and mind of this elder had seen many things and had gotten to know his home like the back of his hand. In the back, she was not sure where or how to get to it. But there was a path that lead to it. It was still a bit hard to see and make sense of. And even then if she did somehow, Jikan was not sure that she would be able to make sense of the things she saw to get to it even if she wanted to.

Either way, it was clear to her that the spot as meant to represent the Aitoheiwa meadow. A place filled with fruitful greenery and more important and emotional and mental healing ground for them. Separate in a distance of land that Jikan had no idea of, for right now at least. There was more.

Through peaceful streams she would imagine, trees still, but in a lower density than this part of the Deep Green forest. There was land that flowed towards one center spot. From her knowledge of the area and where she was meant to go next. She could only assume that this was the other village. It was the representation of the Hogo to michibiki river. A stream that flows into a pond. And from the dimensions....it was a very large one. She wondered if it was even accurate to call it a pond in all honesty.

Either way, this was it and she could at least begin to get a better way of how to approach the village when it was time for her to leave and travel to that location. "So now it is a concern of people wanting the locations back, and the suspension of the past creeping into the present?", she asked in a soft plain voice as she eyed the drafted mapping.

Of the flowers. And thus not held down or choked by it....is that right?".

"You are more than an intermediate piece in an attempt of discussion. You are here as an outsider, a mind that does not care, a voice that has no attachment, and a judgment not hindered by passed emotions. You are to speak and find a common ground, and not be attached to the chains of the past like many of us".

Jikan turned and tilted her head, a soft sigh as she nodded, getting the bigger picture here. Well....it played into her bigger goals so she supposed that she did not mind the extra layer of the mission one bit. It could be beneficial and that was all that mattered to her in the end here really. "Okay, you got yourself a deal. I will accept the job".

After Jikan said this the elder stood up, using his walking stick to help himself to his feet with only a minor grunt to come along with him. The man balanced himself thanks to his support cane, and nodded his head. Is spirit tall, proud, and calm. A contract to the hunched over form he was in. But, he had some intelligence, that was what Jikan had assumed given her was a leader for so long. And, from this albeit short conversation with him. She thought the man had a decent amount of wisdom under his belt as well. With some feet shuffling he walked over to Jikan, the red haired amazon with black tipped edges meeting him. The man took out his right hand in an attempt to shake Jikan's hand. She accepted, extending her own hand before shaking the man's hand and looked at him in the eyes.

"Glad to see that you have decided to take up the task. We thank you in advance in hopes of good news".

"Well...do not thank me yet sir. I am only agreeing that I will take up the mission you need help with. How easy or successful this is...well...that is a while different case". After Jikan said this, she would release the man's hand and turn. Beginning her steps to walk outside.
