*BOOM*

The ground shook. Yells and cries could be heard. But not out of fear. Those sounds had lessened as a figure had walked down this section of the road. A fist raised alongside a white magic circle. The whirling crying wind coming to an end as a tornabdo blast completed its trajectory. Knocking a 9 meter tall humanoid looking giant monstrosity with a disjointed face away. "Keep moving, there are more coming and you are in my way", the figure spoke. Their voice sodt and calm but...held another level under it. An excited bloodlust for battle?

"R..ight. Thank you!!", a few faces yelled. Running behind the figure and the moving troops. Using the path they made to get to some sort of safety.

Their hand lowered, their steps continuing to move forward. Leaving a different section of the town of Orchia to Toma, Jikan had pressed on after taking care of the initial numbers that appeared around Sleeping Calamity's building. She had moved on, after making sure the citizen's around her at the guild building were inside and had some forces guarding them. She then continued, walking slowly forward with members of Sleeping Calamity behind her. Being a sword, shield, and hindrance all in one. That was her will as the guild master. These things wanted to eat her people. Touch her town. And she was going to show them the consequences for that grave sin.

Oh the joy of life as you where adjusting it, it would show the life Regis was coming to fit into would start places things before him now, Regis had just been quietly resting away as he was since arriving here and starting to adjust as well as he did, Where most people have yet to see or speak to him much it did not mean things would just simply pass by. So when the boom sound went off it would start luring Regis from whatever area of hiding he was at during that time.

After all such a sound was only a horrible thing to have start happening in the end and just means that Regis should be doing something about it. But it might take a bit of time for him to seek out what was going on most likely coming to help in anyway he can at this time.

Peace and quiet. It was something Jikan was looking forward to today, but alas. The shrieking of her town folk and the quaking of the ground as it shook under the weight of the dozens upon dozens of hunanoid giants running amok. That relaxation was gone. But as Jikan lunged formed and pulled a fist back. Smashing the arm of a  7 meter tall gains that was reaching out snatch up a fleeing Orchidia citizen into the air.  Her arm tucked to her side as it flew upward, an upper cut strike as she stood before the citizen.

She missed a relaxing day yes. But, she would have battle as it replacement. Several battles. She was going to get her blood pumping, feel the wind rush against her skin. And defend her home.

"Remember! Easy spots to take them down ate the neck and head. If you can't  take them down that way. Aim for the legs and arms, make them unable to move and finish them off!!".

With that Sleeping Calamity continued to move forward. It's adventurer members flying arrows and bullets raining down at the giants while the magic users used various spells to unleash their vengeance at their intruding invaders.

It was interesting to hear the start unravels of fights, it seemed to be a quick and sudden thing. the quiet was just something he had gotten use too. Then again anything fighting related was long forgotten in his mind he did try crossing swords with some one at some point but that is a oddly fragmented, he maybe will remember later on while he did things here. But this time it was a bit different for him it was oddly different to just settle into a city, But at least with finally trying to settle in good enough he was no longer a worry.

But alas Regis did actually need to investigate whatever was causing this problem since well side from his own wonder, no doubt whatever it was would be a bit better to deal with just in case. Because he should really be attempting to put his mark into these things. Rather then just lounging around like he did normally. So even if slow as mentioned before Regis was sundering his way over and he was taking his time just so he can mentally prepare himself for what was to come.

Regis was not going to be upfront as useful as maybe as he could be, but this was a person who also has yet to realize he needed to rebuild himself in many ways as well. Most likely to Jikan's dismay when Regis was finally in view and still just walk towards the problem but just with his armour and nothing else, this was either foolish or Regis just being himself after all he was just as always going off of the things he had on him and dealing with it, not the smartest plans over all but maybe something Regis would do to attempt to help.

The music of conflict continued to grow. A strange mix of sounds creating a melody of the wills of Orchidia and Sleeping Calamity against their giant invaders. More and more people were moving, either fleeing from the giants or taking arms against them. It was a bit crazy, now, it seemed that even a few small number of Orchida citizens were fighting now. Maybe it was their hardness, maybe it was the sight of Jikan charging forward, determined and un-faltered by the size and numbers coming at them. Maybe it was the sight of Sleeping Calamity itself fighting and a sense of pride that made those few want to join, not being helpless and relying on others to defend themselves. Either way, they were the few not fading. Not retreating. Not one step back.

With all the noises and running and...sounds of compact. It would really be weird if anyone was just walking causally. Even Jikan slow steps were more in the way of intimidation that a causal stroll. No one would...REGIS!?!?

Her head did a double take as she realized the man coming into her view. The man was here, that was a good thing. One more person to fight against the giants. BUT HE ONLY HAD HIS ARMOR ON. No shield no weapon no nothing. The heck is he doing? I thought he was an adventurer not a magic user?? She thought to herself, a bit perplexed. Seeing Regis simply walk towards the chaos with nothing, and no look of him about to cast or in the middle of casting, any spells.

....this was not a smart action, nor a usefull one in her eyes.

She shifted, changing from a walk to a run quickly catching up to Regis as she saw more and more giants coming into view. Geez...and they were right where he was headed too...

"Regis, What are you doing? Where is your weapon?".

Wasn't that a magical question to ask Regis and even more of annoying reality that Regis was walking into the face of danger to figure out a plan on his own. He had not done this for a long enough time that the last time he attempt to fight something. But then again Regis was stupid not thinking about how dangerous this was entirely to do. The risk was not in his mind. Maybe later he would tell it was not useful but right now he was still walking towards it.

Eventually she would hear Jikan say something to him and well. The most typical Regis answer."Going towards the problem."If there was ever a time for Regis to wanting to do something else it was now, But alas he was not he was just walking towards the problem with nothing else in mind to attempt to solve it.

As Jikan's body reached Regis she stopped her momentum. Sliding to stop her ranged out to him, dumbstruck at the sight of him walking towards danger and combat without a tool at hand nor magic in use. Facing the danger by himself with no other Sleeping Calamity members appearing by him yet. Well...besides Jikan. Battle was chaotic, crazy, random. But lord...was Regis stupid??

Regis continued to move, walking forward as her words reached him. She considered speaking again but this time a yell. As the hungry giant invaders, charging Sleeping Calamity members, and fleeing Orchidia citizens flooded the streets and her eyes. He spoke, "Going towards the problem."

She blinked and wanted to groan at annoyance. Yes yes that was what they all were. But a plan had to be made. Action, skills. Something, any type of resource. She lunged forward, waving a fist forward past Regis as a white magic circle came from her right hand, a twirling torandao of wind came, tearing into one of the closest giants.

"That is good and all, but how will you fight. Where is your weapon, and why isn't your magic activated??", she said with a scoff. Keeping her eyes and body in front of Regis.

This would all progressively get worst as it continued on because of how Regis was. because of how he was going about these things, Regis was not a combat or fighter based person at all he just did things, that it's self was not helpful for Regis or any one trying to help here. could you give him some credit for trying to help? Entirely up to everyone else, since Regis being himself was not entirely interested in which that would be the answer for it. Because well he had little to make things important enough to consider  at this time.

Maybe he should actually answer Regis' question, Not an answer she might want to hear at all. "Well, I lost a sword a long time ago."Regis a logical answer indeed it was but not a good one for Regis would say."I have not figured out how to use my magic yet."Also not a good answer to give some one from him but Regis just might be that way. Simple answers because he knew what he could do and could not, But he was trying anyway. So when he was close enough he simply did one punch.

As Jikan finished speaking and stood in front of him, she waited for his response. Some action. Anything that would offer some sort of information. It was not out of any disrespect to the man, but, from Jikan measurement of him. He...wasn't powerful. Not someone she thought would be fine facing these things without a weapon or magic or....something. Armor be damned. No point in having defense if you did not have any offense. And she would rather not have a member of her guild, and to be honest an offspring of someone she knew, die because they were not thinking.

She could get if he wanted to help the town and its civilians, or simply had a battle lust and did not care about not having a weapon. But, this was perhaps not the best way to go about it, truly. But....he had some heart or courage. She had to at least consider and respect that factor...for what it was worth. But still, Jikan was wanting an answer here. As as the giants got closer and closer, she needed him to hurry. Thankfully, he did answe soon. But...

"You lost your weapon a long time ago, and you didn't think to tell me? Bloody Gods. I gave you armor a weapon to use is child's play...", she sighed. "And no magic...so what. Have you been using your fists and feet all this time?...I'm going to have to train you a little after this is done and over with...".

Even if in some manner the person in Jikan's mind could show up, It would be up to ponder if what they would do to see her son act this way. But given how she had spoken about them before. who knows how this path would be guided in the end. But alas that mother was not here, Nor was the stern yet harden father was here either.

Something maybe apparent was Regis would never back down because he made himself a problem solver. At least in his mind he was and he was going to realize he was as effective as sheet of paper trying to stop a blade from cutting it, Or sugar dropped into water. you know things people would think where the part that ended up going away thought it was going to do something positive. Regis was just going to keep trying, it was going to hurt but he was going to keep trying.

"Maybe you have to do that. For now...I am going to try anyway unless you really order me to do something else."That would be the key. Regis was just going off of being free. If he was ordered to do something else other wise he would not refuse.

The upkeep of fighters within the guild was an important thing to maintain and grow in Jikan's mind. The guild was created with an extremely high evaluation of strength, as well as the pursuit of it. Power gave you freedom, power give you peace. This power was limited though; either to the extent to how much one person could have, how much they could use in a situation, and where an individual would be able to even use it. The sweet embrace of this entity within the guild coming in many manners. Magical ability, physical power, a cunning mind and intellect, and the social awareness to function with the biggest manner of 'profit' when it came to being among and interacting with people.

Combat power was important yes, but power and strength. Was much much more than how one could fight. And Jikan knew this, steadily trying to make ways to improve herself and the guild in this manner over the last years in the shadows. But, there was a lot more to be done.

....like dealing with Regis here.

The stubborn ready to fight warrior that was very close to biting off more than he could chew. He moved and so did she, her magic flowing around her body as she prepared to continue the fight against the approaching giants. "I will train you. How else are you to live long enough to find your redemption hmm?", she hummed out the question as she stepped forward. "Don't try. Do. And I only have one order for you right now. Live".

After saying so, Jikan would continue to lead the Sleeping Calamity forces by her, adding Regis to the list of names she was keeping a careful eye on during the fighting.

Well it was vague enough that well, Regis considered that his options were just living, it was a good enough answer he could still follow after all he just needed to live, with out a given task aside form that he was just gonna keep doing what he was attempting to do before Jikan stopped him.

Almost like this person and stubborn enough to keep attempting."Very well, I'll live."So he's already achieved her order, how magical of a fellow guild member Regis was, Already getting his first order by his guild master done, his mother would be so proud of him would she not?

Then he just went on to continue doing what he was still going past Jikan at this point, So now maybe something else needed to stop Regis. He was gonna be a handful so to say. This could be easy i other ways hard in other ways.

Jikan gave Regis an order. One that she found was weird and interesting. Why had she given the order to live? Not yo win, not to crush the enemy even if you went down with them. Live, life. That was the message she gave. She had just met Regis, and she was by no means a care giver to him. He was not one of her children like Amira, Klein, or Aurelia. He was a member of her guild. She was the guild master sire...but...she did not have a motherly attitude to the people in it. The members for the most part did not have that kind of relationship with each other either. Sure...could ve friendly, friends, comrades. But that came from them, it was not a requirement from Jikan.

Perhaps it was the fact that he was the offspring to someone who was...a positive acquaintanc? Perhaps it was the major fact that Jikan hated losing fighting potential to spar against and have? Or maybe it was just the reality of it being a hindrance when dealing with this invasion. A harder time of protecting their territory and people under their banner with each solider that fell. Either way...she said it...

With that she lunged, passing Regis from her prior standing position. Covering a massive amount of space, she stopped in front of a giants leg. Cocking her right arm back before letting our a swing.

Regis seemed unaffected by what Jikan ended up doing, If anything it just meant maybe his idea was entirely pointless. After all everything he seemed to do was him just trying to do something and be there because he was out of the way at that time. Regis would be a bit less interested shortly in trying to hit this monster along with everyone else, But for other reasons that isn't based off of his ego.

It was entire based off of how effective he was at some things when he put himself up to it. That moment when he attempted to hit the titan and realized how he was not making an impact. But it seemed to bother him so Regis just seemed to turn around and walk towards somewhere else. Almost like he was now going to something typical of his mother, Check on other people who could not fight at all.

Jikan's arm swung out, her fist meeting the giant's leg before her foot completed its movement. With her attacking arm extended, feet planted as she felt the impact of her armored gauntlet hitting flesh. Jikan had moved forward content with what the situation was with Regis. For now. She would continue to fight, letting Regis do his own part in the fight against the invading giants. The one she went to was farther ahead after all, the one that Regis was moving towards was still open. She would trust him, see what he could do and show his will to fight, or to protect even, that seemed to be burning within him.

The giant before her wiggled and groaned, swiping out at her in an attempt to get her away. Jikan hopped back, avoiding the hit as the arm slammed into the ground. She moved, jumping onto the limb before begining her run upward. Out the corner of her eye she saw Regis, striking out at the titan and their tough skin. With the wave of her hand she casted a magic circle on the beast, weakening its endurance to held aid in his blows.

...

"REGIS. What are you doing!! Don't turn your back on them".

Reason was not really his normal thing, It would be something you notice later on it was not that he was trying to intentionally risk himself in many ways. Regis did not seemed to be worried about the risk and maybe even yelling at him about it later might either be good or bad no one knows really in the end. Most likely a conversation with Regis down the road of what is good and bad to do in a battle field around a giant being destroying a place was in order, After all maybe it was would do him some good.

If he felt like paying attention, It was a Jikan and other members of his guild problem down the road."I am not useful here, I will search for something else to see if i can help else where."Was this a good answer? not really it was entirely a Regis answer however.

He seemed to be going towards ruined building to look into them to see if people were trapped there, He was just bad at making up his mind for the most part, He had a lot of things to work on that was for sure.

Jikan had used a bit of her magic to weaken the giant Regis was facing. It did not impact the humanoid beast's strength, or speed, or anything of that nature. Just a little spell to weaken its endurance, hop fully make Regis' attacks linger on its body longer or easier.

...

BUT JIKAN WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SEE IF THAT WAS TRUE IF REGIS WALKED AWAY FROM THE DANG THING.

She swore, it seemed that Regis was just not the type to think rationally or with reason. Worst yet, .....she was not even sure it was instinct either. She knew no animal that would turn away and walk slowly away from something hunting them. Fight or run away, sure that was the normal. Some may freeze....but none retreated slowly. Danger seemed to just follow the man like a shadow....and she was sure it was becoming more and more of his own creation.

....he definitely needed training and a talk after this was all over.

"Regis... geez", she said the next part quietly to herself. "So annoying....". She jumped up and spun, throwing out a kick to a giant's jaw that had ran up to her while talking to Regis. As her feet landed on top of a roof she turned her green blue eyes back to her newest member. "You? ha...j...ju...argh. Alright. Go. go towards the house. Make sure no one is in there and if they are, escort them to safety".

It was a simple request, Then again he was pretty much doing it anyway. So in his mind he was just doing what he willed and wanted too, Not knowing he was going to have a pretty long and interesting talk with Jikan down the road. He was not going to be much use other wise so this entire idea seemed pretty good to start with if Regis were to every mention it.

Even if he was kind of turning his back away from something, He was a stiff brick wall when it came to thinking, He knew that at least there was something better off to go do with searching these places. Going over to the house seemed to be safer now that Regis was not making himself a walking target. So all well that work out well right?

Well we would have to see how Regis managed all of this situation when he took around at the close by building, He seemed to be taking a wonderful amount of time trying to find his way in, you know something that might have had to been expected since he was clueless in some manner to how to do these things.

After Jikan finally managed to get her words out, albeit with an overwhelming amount of disbelief, she turned around. Her hands reaching under the giant as it shaked its limbs and roared. With a huff she lifted the humanoid beast over her head and looked down the street. A number of Orchidia citizens were running, giants following behind them. Closing in on their prey to catch and consume them.

He gave no word, but it seemed that he would do what she requested of him. Success and survival. That all it mattered. Keeping their territory protected, keeping their people safe and using the chance to better relations and connections, and surviving. If he did that and did it well. The smaller details could be what they could mostly. What trouble could he possibly cause?....

She was going to have a long talk with him after this. Some with her lips, and maybe her friends feet and fists. Either way, she hurled the giant. Letting it crash down onto the pillow of chasing giants that were on the way. A loud thud was heard as the body hit the ground, and the sprawling running citizens continued making their way to Jikan before passing her and headed towards the defense border lines being created.

It would seem as the chaos was really going on, any general sign of Regis seemed to be gone, maybe was just how hard he was search and looking around but that was just it. He had already started to go do his own thing to find people and bring them to safety, yet no sound of things moving proved maybe either Regis was able to do this with out much sound quietly either moving things or people as he needed too, or Regis had used trying to find people as a means to quietly sneak away, it was kind of hard to tell.

But he was doing something at least it was very faint as you heard Regis move something and pull things out of the way he was finding something but what was a good question since he could not been up front, Then well since Jikan did not have eyes on him right away. By the time she most likely went to that area of mention if she had the time too Regis was not there himself, but signs he had been there were with how often that he moved things was there and about it whatever Regis did.

weather if achieved something good or not was entirely up in air at this point. Regis was gone since people last track of him where he went was a good question now and when he would show up again was also a good question too. But the danger was clear if there was people in the build Regis has searched through they would been able to have gotten out safely, Whatever else Regis has done seemed to be just as quiet as he was, Was it all good in the end for the things that was done here?
