On top of a brown haired Duhlin, a figured fly in the sky. Their hair down and loose. Flapping against the wind as it flowed behind its bearer as she held on tight to her beloved mount. Green Blue eyes shifted, gazing down on the lush field and plains below. The ground of this place was full of life, animals, humans, and all in between. Jikan heard of conflict within the people of Worth Woodsea once again. And once again Jikan chose to take up the task. A bit boredom yes, but, an active idea as well. She had made allies with the last village she had helped when she and her daughter Aurelia came. Or at least made a neutral bond that could be later developed. Why not continue that and expand Sleeping Calamity's network of connections and trade resources? It would aid Jikan, the guild, and the town. And their partners if they were helpful.

A mutual business, one that was out in the surface. Public. Normal. It would make the entity that was Sleeping Calamity more of a needed tool of balance and resources in the independent North. Masking the jobs and existence of things underneath the iceberg of imagery and increase legitimacy among the more neutral toned towards the guild. Or at least. That was one of the thoughts running through Jikan's mind.

And so she was here to help smooth things out between two rival settlements yet again. This time in the Deep Garden. A green wide fruitful place that she was surprised that had settlements located within it's loving hold. But to do that she had to go through and talk to the chiefs, and see what the issue was between their history or current deal circumstances. That was easier said then done, as she was dealing with people here. Not just facts and numbers. emotions were here. Emotions got in the way, clouded judgments. But...emotions could also be controlled and manipulated. Perhaps she could use them to her advantage??

The hard thing was....how? It was a dangerous thing to do manipulation. If she played with issues with the people and between the settlements, if she acted wrong it could just end up makng her two enemies instead of allies for the future.

Just as Jikan was beginning to ponder this level of thinking, Mia, Jikan's brown haired, red shirt and black pants dressed exceed poked her head out from behind Jikan. Her brown fur fluffy and flowing violently against the wind. "Jiiiiiiiikan. Are we almost there, I think I see something??'.

Jikan shifted, blinking and coming back to the physical world. Her eyes gazing forward to examine if Mia was indeed correct. More and more of land and people becoming into view steadily. "It seems you are right Mia. Let's head down, best not to be flying over people's head. That will only make them stiff and weary of us. ANd if we are to talk we need to start on a positive foot with them".

After saying this she shifted her right hand slightly. Reaching up to the side of the neck of Maxx. She gently but firmly patted him twice with one of her fingers, her index finger. A signal for him to descend down. Holding its reins, she gently guided Maxx, turning him and having him gradually go down steadily. Its golden brown wings flapping as it glided and danced on the flowing blades of wind. Vanishing eventually before having Maxx land onto the ground, on a strong dirt road as Maxx galloped then strolled down entering the first village Jikan was to visit. Not making a lot of sound and avoiding the gathering number of adults and children that were inhabitants of the village.

"Seems the place is awake no..", Mia said softly. Turning her fluffy head around to gaze out at all the people coming out.

"Well they did expect us to come. And besides, I'm sure some would want to see at least who is going to talk to their chief", Jikan said as she hopped off of Maxx, patting the Duhlin mount on its head. "Good job Maxx. Smooth and fun ride as always, right?".The horse neighed softly and rubbed its head against Jikan's hand. Agreeing with its care taker.

She gave another pat before turning, holding his reins with one of her hands as Mia stayed on the straddle of the Duhlin. She gave a short quick look around with her eyes. Scanning for the face of the person she was described to in the mission request to be her escort. They were the first person she had to meet and had to be social with. Positive. She had to keep her head on, though. Perhaps be friednly with the village folk?

As if on demand a group of kids came out, running up to Jikan who just blinked at them with their sudden arrive. If she had to guess they were on the kid side, decent. About...seven to ten or maybe even eleven from their heights and features. "Lady lady. What's that pretty horse!". One of the kids of the group energetically called out. A young girl with brown hair and brown eyes. "And its sooooo cool. It can fly!! Can...can we pet it?", asked another child.This one was a boy who had dirty blond hair and green eyes.

With a bit of a soft gaze. Jikan looked at the small group of kids surround her. Her face not in a smile but it was more welcoming than her normal neutral face that was aloof and a bit distant. "Why thank you. His name is Maxx. He is Duhlin", Jikan spoke softly at the girl that spoke first. Mia shifted a bit, looking around at the energetic kids as she purred. Thinking that the awesome Mia and Maxx would have this job in the back. Winning over the children of the village's population would be easy.

Jikan then turned her head to the boy. Keeping her welcoming tone and expression as she continued to speak. Moving on to answer his stated question. Keeping her eyes on her mount before speaking to see how he was finding all this attention. He seemed calm and fine, happy even. At least for now.

Laughter and giggles then ensued. An line quickly forming with the help of the older children and Jikan. In no time at all the first child was up and petting Maxx's head and mane. The Duhlin lowering his head to aid in the petting. Jian handed a watch over to Mia. "Stay here and time the kids. Watch them and Maxx, if anything happens come get me".

Mia nodded her head and took hold of the watch. "You got it you can count on me".

This was good. Some positive first steps in the village with the children. She could feel some of the eyes of the village on her, and knew that even is subconsciously. Her actions entering did a tiny good in the view and attitude towards her. She just had to continue and build momentum now.

"Well well. It seems you have made a fine entrance into our village", said a man walking forward. He was an elderly man, walking with a staff, his hair grey and black, sporting a nice salt and pepper look. His eyes shinning the deep brown color.

Seeing the man, Jikan shifted her weight. Turning herself away from Maxx, Mia, and the various children to give attention to the man before her. "I suppose and would hope so. I always enjoy bringing a smile to children's faces", she said towards the man. Her voice calm and cool.

"Hmmmm. Indeed. Well anyway, welcome. I am Kenmeina Rīdā, Chief of this village within Deep Green. Thank you for coming Lady Jikan", the man spoke as he looked up to Jikan. Even from his height Jikan felt the man standing full and proud, even if his body could not.

"Oh, you know of me?", she said looking at the Chief and leader of the village in the eyes.

"Why of course. It is not every day that a guild master themselves take its upon a mission. Especially one of your reputation and history. I welcome you and thank you from coming", the man said with a nod.

Jikan eyed the man in his face and eyes hearing him speak. Her face not giving a hint to the internal thoughts that was going on in her mind, her gears turning. She had no idea exactly how the man felt on these things. Her guild was Sleeping Calamity. That reputation and label often made others cautious and a bit jump of the gun. But, often enough and growing, the people of the North were finding themselves not jumping with the words of what the government told of the unregistered guild. It also made it easier for Jikan whom was a lady of a mixed person hood. Good things, neutral things, bad things. They were all actions she had done and were characteristics of her. Maybe the good news reached them about her so they relaxed a little, but still....

No no. No point in wasting effort and time on this.

She had pieces before her, she had to use them. All she had to do was keep her head on her shoulders and focus on the goal at hand.

Given that it was from a fellow home of the North. I figured I could come to lend aid personally, from Orchidia to Woodsea if you will".

The Chief nodded his head, and leading Jikan forward towards their meeting location he began to reply. "Hmmm then I have your guild and my fellow kin of the North to thank no? I shall keep that in mind for what happens on this day".

Jikan followed along side the man, and could not help but feel the impact of those words. As the guild master she fully represent the guild and its intentions. And as a somewhat respected leader of Orchidia...that meant for the town as well. If she caused failure or had to have problems for some reason, that could be looked as a statement from both groups of people. Two possible positives, or two negatives. Or even a success and a failure...

He sighed, then moved on to a home. Opening it the man turned towards Jikan. "Lets talk about such a thing inside. There is much to discussion and not for the youngsters". He stood there, holding the entrance open waiting for Jikan to enter.

Hearing the man, Jikan simply nodded before entering the home. Her feet making a soft sound as she feet the soles of her shoes step into the soft dirt floor. Off to the distance there was a circle, rocks lining it up to give it is shape. After Jikan entered the man followed suit inside, closing the door behind him before moving to the circle. Going to the end on the other side to face Jikan before sitting down. "So, where to begin truthfully...".

Jikan moved, taking a few short steps before facing the man on the other side. Sitting down on her knees, her hands resting calming at her legs. "Well, the latest or more critical I would suppose", she said looking at the man.

The man looked soley for a second. As if he was gazing at a past, a past he had long ago grew tired of and wanted to forget. To move on from. "This settlement of ours has a long history with us. Once were were two sides of the same coin. Kin. But times have changed that. Our people and ourselves have changed that. There is recently a debate on land. Sacred areas in the eyes of both settlements. Ours is the Aitoheiwa meadow. A place filled with fruitful greenery and more important and emotional and mental healing ground for us. For them Hogo to michibiki river. A stream that flows into a pond. Bountiful fix are there and from memory, a sacred spot to light the lanterns of the deceased. A place to send loved ones off to the world beyond. The issue is...that each spot currently belongs to the other settlement".
