"I can admit that I've changed, and I'm still changing. I mean I'm not a fool, I know that Loki is guiding me now..." he began before taking a bite from a now deceased animal. It was pretty large with three horns. He didn't exactly know what kind of animal it was, but it would suffice. "This power though, this power will save Skaal. Who I become doesn't matter if my people are able to prosper for generations to come, right?" he asked the dragon after chewing and swallowing the raw flesh. Today Val learned that animal flesh wasn't as good as human flesh, but it'd been a couple of days since he felt unable to control his hunger. It seemed he had gained control over Fenrir's hunger. "Perhaps I'm still worthy of entering Valhalla." He shrugged.

Despite speaking in Icebergan, he was sure that the giant black dragon laying beside him could understand him. After all, she had come from Iceberg was bound to him by fate. Vali leaned against a boulder, resting as he gazed into the sky. It was bright and blue. Clearer than ever. If he was deaf, he could have ignored the world. The young Jarl was away from the town of Era, yet he could still hear creatures and other wandering people in the distance. In fact, he was right at the border between this town and Magnolia. It was safer then being at the border between Era and Crocus. Since Crocus was the home of this country's royalty, it was probably better protected then the rest of the country. At least magnolia wasn't as important. The red headed Viking looked over at his Wyvern, extending a hand before petting her.

"My people will likely think that I have lost mind." He began in Val'Elvarin. In a slightly disappointed tone he vented to his steed. The Viking never was fluent in the elven language and it'd show to another elf. "Aye, maybe I have eh?...Or maybe I'm just the only one strong enough to bare the burdens that come with being Jarl." He said in the common tongue. With a chuckle he dropped his hand from the sable beast's head and looked forward. Once again he took another chunk from the animals leg. "Now where is Konstantin?" he asked aloud. It was rhetorical really. His nose could smell the man around him. Why was he here today? Because apparently this was a test of his abilities. He had met Konstantin before. It was back when he had red hair and the world had only just started going to shit.

A few days ago he caught up with the mysterious man again. Now would be his third time meeting him, and finally witnessing a bit of his abilities. Vali had grown since their first encounter as well so this was exciting.

Two golden specks shown in the distances with Kon approaching Vali from afar via his newly constructed aerial ship. He was donned in his typical attire dense leather armor layered with thick lycan fur torn from the corpse of a slain beast. At least that’s what he saw lycans nothing more than beasts something to be purged. The very idea of working with not just a lycan but the entire crew had caused bile to rise and leave a bad taste in his mouth. It was a necessary evil and one he would try to remedy as soon as their shared objective was completed. For now however, it was a matter of fighting against this creature of the night. Lazily the ship inched towards their agreed location meanwhile Kon worked on the ropes of the ship as best he could with his single arm ensuring everything was tied down for what was about to happen. After ensuring that nothing would be thrown about, he reached for the controls of the aerial ship and unleashed the full strength of its engines, aiming for the Lycan for a surprising interest.

Rushing to the tip of the ship, he stood his ground as the wooden vessel drew closer and closer to Vali. In reality, it wasn’t aimed for him just a bit before him. Sure enough, the unmistakable grinding noise was created as the ship plowed into the grassland throwing dirt all across the field. Jumping off the crumbling galley, Kon slid on his feet across the raised soil through the continued momentum towards the Lycan accompanied by an intimidating dragon. Impressed to see such a bond being formed nodded while rubbing his chin. “Nice.” He commented just loudly enough from the distance between the two.

With his great show of bravado and the sudden focus on Vali and his Wyvern, Kon ignored the dirt that plastered him carrying with it mysterious spores which cling to his clothing and entered his airways as he sucked in the particles with each breath. “So here I am and there you are, shall we begin, or is there something you want to discuss?” His shift from intrigue to cruelty was sharp. They were here to fight, Kon would happily oblige, they could have fought earlier but it would have been oh so messy.

As the storm is ongoing, every player in the topic—excluding the user—will be assigned a number. This is done by dividing 100 by the number of people in the topic excluding the user. The user must state these numbers and the names they're attached to the moment they use this spell. Starting from the moment the spell is cast, the user may roll a dice (including the first time this spell is cast). They may not edit the number ranges after the rolling begins. Based on whose name it rolled on, thunder will strike down from the skies randomly and hit that person, dealing S-Rank lightning magical damage. This is instantaneous and cannot be dodged. However, it does not go through armour or shields.

Description: A large gauntlet that was made from the purest gold in all the land and heavens. Said to be by the Gods themselves. This gauntlet was forged and blessed with the power to turn objects and spells into gold. It is seen as a gift to its owner blessing them with great wealth and prosperity, but it is a great curse.

History: The Gauntlet of Midas, forged from the finest and purest gold in all the land and heavens. It was said the gauntlet was forged by the Gods themselves and blessed to grant whoever wore it with great wealth and prosperity. The gauntlet was handed down to Midas of Bosco.

The gauntlet was a gift to help his homeland prosper during the great Seraphim Demon threat. Its ability to turn all objects and spells into gold made Midas a powerful warrior in his own right. But power and wealth corrupts. The power of the gauntlet corrupted Midas, manifesting into violent paranoia that everyone was out to steal it from him.

Midas wanted to keep the power of the gauntlet to himself so he turned on his own allies and sided with Illumin. Vengeful from Midas' betrayal the gods bound Midas' soul into the gauntlet so he could never enter Illumin's Grace

Requirements


  • The user does not have to be of a class that can wield off-hand weapons but can be used in the off-hand slot.
  • Users that have collected a relic may ignore any pre-existing requirement for any of the nine. They also receive a 50% discount as the finder of the relic weapon while receiving a 25% discount for all other relic weapons, no other discount apply when purchasing a relic weapon.


Drawbacks


  • Paranoia: The Spirit of Midas inside the Gauntlet carries on his strong desire to keep the Gauntlet to himself, this spreads to the current bearer. Midas' corrupted will affects the user with a strong desire to protect and keep the gauntlet from others, eventually turning into paranoia.
  • Fused: The Midas' Gauntlet is permanently fixed to the user's hand until their death or the loss of the hand.


Abilities


  • Golden Touch: Anything struck by the Midas' Gauntlet will immediately turn to gold and become immobile if the target's overall or limb durability reaches its limits the effect will apply across the limb or the entire rest of the targets body. Note: This effect does not apply to the user or their equipment.
  • Midas' Nullification: Midas' Gauntlet can turn spells into gold upon hitting it. The wielder must pay the same amount of mana as the spell they are hitting to transmute it.

Abilities


  • Power Scouter: When looking at a target, the user can see the amount of mana they posses and their exact distribution of attribute points. They cannot mention the number to others since it would make no sense to them, but the user can make perfect sense of the value they see.
  • Type Scouter: The user can see the type (Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary etc.) of a spell when looking at one, and also the elemental-type to which that spell belongs. The user can also see which type of mana a target possesses when looking at them (Fire, Water, Earth etc.).
  • Mana Seeker: The user can see mana with the Millennium Eye. Therefore, even if their vision is completely blurred or the target is invisible, they can still see the silhouettes of whoever that possesses mana. Depending on how much mana they possess, the silhouette appears brighter or dimmer.

And there he was. The man himself; Konstantin. The most god-like mortal Vali had ever encountered besides his mother- if he even was mortal. Similarly to Kon, Vali himself was a godly being. He could use the energy from Satri itself, whereas Kon's powers came from his god. The question was; was the power of Satri enough. Now that he wielded the power of Fenrir, he was stronger than ever before. The Jarl, glanced up only when his Wyvern lifted herself. She cawed at the incoming Vessel but never left Vali's side. Konstantin's ship did nothing to phase him. The red headed Viking looked directly into the Nephilim's eyes before connecting both his fists together. They were equals regardless of who the victor is.  

Vali's eyes beheld a holy power. Almost shocked, his eyes widened slightly. The viking had heard tales of angels roaming the land but never had he encountered one. Could Kon have been just that? The mighty Viking lord kept his cool, as usual. Really he could have choked up at any minute but then he'd look weak. Suddenly he twitched with a smirk. Just knowing that someone like Konstantin was on his side made him feel...powerful. The two had already been well acquainted. Their relationship had potential to become dangerous for the world- at least during their quests.

As the flying Ship stopped, a magic circle formed under the Jarl causing a vibrant gold aura to engulf him and allowing him to float. He levitated about 5 feet into the air with his legs crossed, smirking at his ally and prey. The one eyed angel made quite the entrance, facing the Jarl with sheer confidence. "Aye." Vali responded to the compliment. "That is a nice ship." he said gently. His voice carried a cold tone, frosty but not completely frozen. Although Val had gone through some serious changes, he was still genuine and deep down inside he was still... good.

It seemed like his opponent was anxious to begin. He asked if there was anything to discuss, his tone was much colder and almost bored really. However, The Desiertan took no offense. Instead he dropped his legs, still sustaining his flight ability but leveling with his opponent. "You are eager." The Titan flew 15 meters away from his new enemy. With the thick roots of the trees around them, along with Kon's ship acting as a wall behind him they stood in what could be seen as a 15 x 15 meter ring.

"Well...shall we begin then?" Val would ask gripping his dagger. His armor was fitted on him, fit for a leader. His cape lightly flapped in the wind. Super Hero Vali, he was. He could already tell that this fight would be intense- at least for him. Fighting his hardest was probably his safest bet for the best results. The goal was to see Konstantin on his A game afterall.

“Curious…” The Crippled Nephilim thought to himself as he watched his opponent react to the charging ship taking flight, a talent that was not unheard of within the magical world. His physical response revealed far more than the compliment to his damaged ship. “Yes, well it was.” He said with a neutral tone and expression. It’s destruction really meant little to him, time was a luxury he could afford for those materialistic matters. What was important to him here and now was ensuring that he was taken seriously, something which was already the case but it seemed Vali simply wanted nothing more than to fight him. Something he was comfortable with, afterall he hadn’t fought without his right arm and Vali should be a reasonable enemy. Not a push-over but not something that would overwhelm him just as Midas had been.

His question was met with naught but the very same question. “Was he taunting me?” He said to himself with a scowl forming upon his face. Remaining silent he watched as Vali moved away from him all whilst wielding a dagger. “Yes.” The One-handed knight responded to his comrade to be, bringing up his left hand in front of his body and face which shone bright in the sun. His back to the hull of his ship, going forward or up was his only options. For now opting to see how the man faired in the metaphorical and literal heat, he pulled back his left arm ever so and clicked his fingers aiming at his enemy centering a magic circle around his current location as another formed behind Kon in turn.

In under a second, a great section was set ablaze to which Vali should resided. After his initial burst of flames dispersed, Kon cast another burst of flames at Vali. Recognising his close combat preference Vali would likely try to rush towards him before casting said spell, Kon would cast back Vali if he were rushed towards Kon. Either way assaulted or not he’d stomp his foot firmly sending him up to the full 5 meters into the sky, where the true fight would take begin.

History: The Gauntlet of Midas, forged from the finest and purest gold in all the land and heavens. It was said the gauntlet was forged by the Gods themselves and blessed to grant whoever wore it with great wealth and prosperity. The gauntlet was handed down to Midas of Bosco.

The gauntlet was a gift to help his homeland prosper during the great Seraphim Demon threat. Its ability to turn all objects and spells into gold made Midas a powerful warrior in his own right. But power and wealth corrupts. The power of the gauntlet corrupted Midas, manifesting into violent paranoia that everyone was out to steal it from him.

Midas wanted to keep the power of the gauntlet to himself so he turned on his own allies and sided with Illumin. Vengeful from Midas' betrayal the gods bound Midas' soul into the gauntlet so he could never enter Illumin's Grace

Requirements


  • The user does not have to be of a class that can wield off-hand weapons but can be used in the off-hand slot.
  • Users that have collected a relic may ignore any pre-existing requirement for any of the nine. They also receive a 50% discount as the finder of the relic weapon while receiving a 25% discount for all other relic weapons, no other discount apply when purchasing a relic weapon.


Drawbacks


  • Paranoia: The Spirit of Midas inside the Gauntlet carries on his strong desire to keep the Gauntlet to himself, this spreads to the current bearer. Midas' corrupted will affects the user with a strong desire to protect and keep the gauntlet from others, eventually turning into paranoia.
  • Fused: The Midas' Gauntlet is permanently fixed to the user's hand until their death or the loss of the hand.

  • Golden Touch: Anything struck by the Midas' Gauntlet will immediately turn to gold and become immobile if the target's overall or limb durability reaches its limits the effect will apply across the limb or the entire rest of the targets body. Note: This effect does not apply to the user or their equipment.

The Viking Lord turned and faced his opponent. Ready to begin as he took his fighting stance. Konstantin didn't waste another moment as he lifted his golden arm. Immediately Val could tell that his item was something majestic. It was dangerous and he'd have to watch it very carefully. Suddenly Kon brought his arm forward and at the same time Vali lifted his own arm. However, the angel was still able to catch the Titan in his fiery explosion. Vali however, could tolerate this surprisingly low level of pain. At the same moment the fire engulfed his body, the Viking threw his fist forward.

A large blast would be released as he used one of his strongest spells currently. As his hand jabbed forward, he would jolt back to move himself out of the flames. Fortunately for him just as he moved back another fiery explosion occurred. This one happening just in front of him. The Desiertan found himself technically "Out of bounds" if this were some sort of tournament. Luckily it wasn't. Although he was out of the arena formed by their surroundings, he escaped taking more damage. That second blast could have been a bit more poweful.

Whether Kon would be caught by Vali's quick attack- which would reach him immediately after the second flame- or not, the fight would continue. The young Lord would Jet into the air up to five meters where he'd wait for his opponent. With all his senses focused on his opponent, he was ready to react to everything. The two would fight in the sky like otherworldly entities.  

"We are like gods, aye?" He said with a devilish smirk.

His flames had struck true, at least the initial stronger volley on the hairy foreigner. Leaving naught but a scratch on him, rather dealing significant damage to his armor. His assessment of the man’s fighting stance had been somewhat accurate, with Vali charging forward and opening with a spell as opposed to slashing at him or attacking from afar, which Kon turned to gold as it drew close to his gauntlet replacing his repel of his foe. Perhaps his blade was lethally sharp but as brittle as glass for now what he wanted to do with the dagger didn’t matter. No, Kon needed to focus on his opponent who was now also up in the air, with Vali remarking on their shared abilities comparing them to gods. Kon was not so optimistic, he had met far more powerful individuals in his time dwarving over both Vali and Kon. All the same he would appeal to the man’s obvious sense of self-worth and ego. “Indeed, let us fight and shed blood so that life may grow beneath us.” Replying back as if their very blood was so rich that it could embolden life to prosper.

As he continued to speak a noticeable tightness had begun to form in his chest, forcing him to cough violently. Confused and concerned the one-armed nephilim scowled at his opponent not out of annoyance or an eagerness to fight him but rather as a result of deep thought. “What was causing this?” He thought to himself as his wings flapped lazily keeping him afloat. “No matter, I will push through it.” Affirming his position to remain in the fight, Kon readjusted himself once more bringing his left arm in front of himself, ready to defend himself both from magic and physical attacks. He wanted to see what else Vali had up his sleeve, more importantly what he could do in the air. Kon had numerous methods however was refraining from using them out of a sense of curiosity. Yes, he could turn invisible and tear out his heart by teleporting behind him, but that wouldn’t be a fair fight in the slightest.
