So it had come to this... To find the answers she sought, she would need to travel to the very place her story as a human being reached its ending. Even if she was accompanied by Renshi who had been aiding her ever since she arrived in the capital city of Tianjing, it was still an intimidating place to travel to. After all, despite the fact the fairy had been as enigmatic as usual with its hints, it was clear that the answers she sought would be found at her grave. The grave of the Sinese girl who once was known as Yu Ming.

And so, there the Fae, Yu Ming, stood, looking upon the gravestone before her. On its surface, the words of her former name had been engraved alongside the year she had supposedly died in. As a Fae, the date did not mean much to her, for time did not pass the same way for the Fae as it did for humans. It was merely an indicator of how long she had been apart from the world of humans and how much her world had changed. But as a human, this would have been her final resting place. This was where the corpse of the girl she had once been had been buried.

Yet standing her in front of the gravestone she couldn't help but feel restless. Something told her there was an important piece of the puzzle that she was missing. A feeling that grew only more intense when Renshi knelt down beside her and lightly brushed his hand over the surface of the dirt. "I thought there was something off about this all." Renshi muttered, words that confused Yu who soon watched the man smile weakly at her. "Take a closer look at this grave Yu. While the gravestone and the flowers are in a pristine state, untouched by both weather and mortal hands alike, don't you see something different further down?"

The girl's gaze shifted from the stone down toward the soil, and it was in that moment she realized what the nobleman meant: The dirt had been slightly disturbed!

"What does this mean?" Yu asked as she looked at Renshi, her eyes wide. The man merely smiled back and gestured at her to wait. She took a step back as Renshi seemingly started to chant a spell and soon the soil in front of them gave way, revealing a small casket. "If I am wrong, then may the emperor cast judgement upon me for this sin, but I believe the answers you seek are not here."

He had barely finished his sentence before Yu had already jumped toward the coffin. It was obvious now, why the grave of the girl Yu Ming was so different. If one had truly died two years, there should have been nothing left but bones, but there was no scent of a corpse, if her guess was right the body should had been decaying, or already have been nothing but bones.... and yet.

Renshi had been right. The answer she sought was not here, not anymore. The body of the girl named Yu Ming was gone, the only thing that remained was a white dress, and a crown made out of vines and flowers. But what did this mean?! Renshi was clearly thinking just as much about the matter. "I'm not a specialist on Caelish folklore, but considering that fairy from before, and the details we found so far. It is safe to presume that the girl who died two years ago, and you were one and the same Yu. It doesn't explain how you're standing here, alive and well but for some reason, the Fairies of Caelum are involved in the matter."

A sudden flash of light came from the nearby tree as a childish voice resounded through the air. "O boi~ You actually went and looked! I guess I lost that bet~" Hovering at the lowest branches of the tree was a small fairy.

"Wait, are you the fairy who gave me the name Yu?" Yu asked, eyes widening. The Fairy giggled in amusement, shaking his head lightly. "Nope~ Although I was part of the Fairies who went and brought your body to Avalon, I don't have the right to name a Fae." Yu was taken aback. "But if you're curious, the invitation still lasts~ Ya see, big boss Oberon has been waiting for you!"

"Big boss?" Renshi questioned, only to receive a smirk. "That's right. I'm sure ya'll figure out who he is eventually. But hey, it's a chance, the big boss doesn't just invite any ordinary Fae. So, are you coming or what?" Yu paused for a moment, thinking carefully on the matter.

"I want to go!" Yu stated, which left Renshi rather worried. "Yu, you can't just go with this little gremlin! I understand that you want to find out what happened to you, but going with a stranger, is..." The girl sighed, smiling lightly. "You're the one to talk. We've only known each other for a few months, and you've already done a lot for me." Renshi couldn't help but sigh. He knew full well what he had gotten himself into by aiding Yu in her search for answers. "If you insist. Then at least allow me to accompany you. After all, it'd be quite rude of me to leave you to walk into danger on your own.."

"That's right~! Now, come along, come along! Don't dally too long, the boss is quite a busy fellow, after all." The fairy said, flying a bit further away.

Yu and Renshi quickly gathered the flowers and dress that had been in the casket, storing them away. Soon they were walking after the fairy. The Fairy didn't seem to mind them following. In fact, he almost seemed excited that he'd get to guide them. "So, where are we heading?"
"Hmmm~? I can't tell you that. That'd ruin the surprise." He replied with a grin. The Fairy wasn't willing to answer the question and simply guided the pair. Yu felt slightly nervous, knowing that Renshi was right behind her. If things got dangerous, she didn't want him to get hurt.
However, her worries were unfounded, as the Fairy didn't lead them anywhere dangerous. Instead, he led them to a large, open clearing. There, he gestured to a small pond in the middle of the clearing.
"Alrighty~ All you have to do is jump in there, and you'll be where you need to go."

Renshi couldn't help but stare. "And that would be where exactly?"
"Well, you'll see for yourself soon enough~" The Fairy chimed, his eyes glittering. "Come on now, you wanted to follow her, right?"

"Right." Renshi muttered, sighing heavily. With a heavy sigh, he walked up to the pond and looked down into the water. It was a beautiful blue, the color of the sky. And while he was unsure of what would happen, he could see no reason to refuse.

Yu nodded, walking up to the edge of the pond and peering into the waters. She smiled lightly as she saw her reflection, a smile which was soon replaced with a determined expression as she leaped into the pond without warning. "Yu?!"

"She's fine." The fairy said, watching as the pond suddenly started glowing brightly. "Well, good luck!" The Fairy grinned, vanishing a moment later. Renshi stared in shock as the water suddenly turned a bright shade of green and a gust of wind blew across the clearing, blowing his hat off. He sighed and stepped into the pond, hoping that he would not regret it.

The wind picked up and the trees began to rustle, creating a gentle breeze which surrounded the pair. Soon the wind became stronger and stronger and the pair closed their eyes, embracing the gale. The pair were swept away, the pond's waters flowing rapidly, carrying them far away.

And with that, the pair were whisked away to another realm.
"This is it." The Fairy said, grinning. "This is the place where everything began and everything will end. The home of the fairies, Avalon."
In front of them, a vast expanse of forest and lakes could be seen. The land was filled with life, animals and plants thriving, yet there was no sign of any other inhabitants.

"This place is beautiful." Renshi muttered, a look of awe on his face.
"It sure is." Yu muttered, gazing around.

"Hey! Are you coming or not?!" The Fairy chimed, floating over the pair, causing them to jump slightly. "Ah! Right!"

"Come on then! There's no time to waste!" The Fairy laughed, and the pair quickly followed after the Fairy, walking towards the forest.
As they entered the forest, they noticed a number of oddities. Many of the plants were far larger than any that had been seen on earth, towering high above the treeline, and many of the animals had unusual colors and features. There were many things that could not be seen normally. However, as they traveled deeper into the forest Yu noticed something else:

Mana, the very energy that flowed in all living things seemed to be lessening in quantity here, and as the forest gave way for a collection of pools the fairy eagerly floated over to a taller fairy that stood at the center of the clearing. "Excellent work in bringing Yu here, were you able to remain unnoticed by Titania and her followers?"

"Nope, the queen's followers tried to stop me, but I gave them the slip!" the fairy's words made the tall fairy sigh softly. "Then it will not be long until the queen realizes something is happening. Be on your guard. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to speak with Oberon." The tall Fairy stated, vanishing into a burst of light.

"What is going on? What are you hiding from me?" Yu questioned, glaring at the Fairy.

"You'll find out soon enough~" Yet Renshi was quick to add: "I think you should tell her, Oberon's not going to like that she doesn't know." Renshi spoke, and Yu's eyes widened. "That was Oberon?! As in the Oberon? The Fairy King?!" The Fairy giggled heartily "Yup~!"

"Oh god. Why is he even interested in me?" Yu asked, sighing heavily. "Who knows? Maybe he'll tell you, if you ask nicely." Yu was taken aback, staring at the Fairy in disbelief. "Well, I can sense Oberon approach, and I don't want to get scolded for being a lackluster guide, so time for me to make my exit!" the fairy declared, floating upwards, before disappearing.

"Yu, let's get ready to meet Oberon. We wouldn't want him to find us unprepared." Renshi stated, and Yu nodded, walking towards the pools, sitting down by one of them. Yet as she sat down near the pool Yu couldn't help but feel something peculiar, as if a voice was calling out to her in the distance. A deep voice suddenly resounded from the large withered tree at the center of the pool. "You can already hear it Yu? The call of Albion?"

Appearing from behind the tree was Oberon, the fairy king. He was a handsome man, with long blond hair and blue eyes, and a pale complexion. His most striking feature, however, was the pair of horns that protruded from his forehead, each one twisting and curving towards the sky. "My, I've forgotten how much more sensitive the ears of a Fae are." He stated a smirk on his lips.

"I apologize for having you travel so far. It would be unbefitting of the ruler of Avalon to leave his domain for an audience, especially when such a grand occasion is taking place."

Yu's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about? Why did you bring me here?" Oberon's eyes softened as he turned to face Yu. "For the rise of the next Fae queen."

Yu's eyes widened, her mouth agape as she struggled to comprehend his words.

"A new Fae queen, you can't mean... Me?" Oberon nodded. "Indeed. It has been foretold by the prophecy for thousands of years. A new Fae queen shall arise from the ashes of the old. And her rule shall be eternal."

"You're serious..." Yu breathed, unable to believe what she was hearing. Oberon simply nodded. "Indeed. You will rule this land forever. You will be immortal."

"But why me?" Yu asked hesitatingly "Because you were destined to." Oberon seemed far more convinced about this than Yu was. "Your destiny was woven into the very fabric of time itself. The prophecy was clear. Only you can save Avalon. Only you can bring salvation. Only you can save the Fae. Only you can save the humans of Caelum-."

Yet before Oberon could finish his sentence a feminine voice called out. "Yes, finish that line and reveal your intentions Oberon: The fact you plan to sacrifice that poor girl to resurrect our ancient guardian: The Dragon of Albion.".

Rushing towards the trio, the woman approached the pair of mortals.
The woman had long white hair, and bright pink eyes. Her skin was pale, and her body was slender, with a small bust. She wore a long red gown, with a high collar, and a low cut front, exposing her cleavage.

"Titania." Oberon spoke, eyes narrowed as the queen continued to speak.

"To think you would try to deceive such an innocent child... Turning her into a Fae wasn't enough, you even planned to use her as a sacrifice for your prophecy?"

"I did no such thing." Oberon retorted, glaring at the woman, oblivious to the small whisper she spoke to Renshi who moved closer to Yu, grasping her hand lightly. "Oh, please, you're a master manipulator. Don't think you can fool me." The Queen's words had clearly agitated Oberon who shouted in anger: "Enough of this!" Oberon shouted, his gaze turning cold. "The fate of the Fae is in peril. If you are unwilling to cooperate, then I will have no choice but to use force." Yet before Oberon could finish Titania raised a hand into the air: "But that time will not be today." And with a snap of her fingers a magical circle appeared underneath Yu and Renshi.

"You- You would delay the inevitable?! You know she is destined to return!" Yet Titania shook her head lightly, her gaze turning toward Yu as the Fae child couldn't help but realize that unlike Oberon this woman's gaze seemed genuinely kind. "But she will return only when she decides to herself, and only upon knowing the entire truth."

The Queen's words left the Fairy King speechless, his body shaking in anger as he glared at the Queen.

"Now go, the both of you, and when you have learned all there is to know, return and accept your fate. For if you do not, you will bring the destruction of all Fae and human alike." And with that, the magical circle activated, causing both Yu and Renshi to vanish from sight, leaving a seething Oberon and an amused Queen.
