Atani paced back and forth from within her room. She held the sides of her head with her fingertips, rubbing her temples as she tried to quiet Yuan who had been exceptionally talkative as of late. It was Atani's fear that she was trying to get her riled and emotional so that she would have an easier time taking over her body.

"No dhínen..." she muttered aloud.

"Come on... I know you're just itching to get out there today."

"No, you are. I wanted to give it a break for now."

Atani knew Yuan was talking about going out with the Third Movement again, but she just wasn't in the mood. They had just done two missions back to back, and both had been a great success. She didn't understand what was so important about heading out immediately again. And besides, what if someone noticed them sneaking around all this often?

"Fine, have your day of rest." Atani could hear Yuan scoff from within her mind. She rolled her eyes at the dramatic goddess and went to brew a cup of rose petal tea.

"But will you at least listen to my suggestion? You don't have to act on it today."

Atani sighed and gave the goddess a shrug-- she was sure Yuan could tell, since they shared a body and all. She had nothing better to do anyway since she was waiting for the water to boil. Upon seeing her answer, Yuan was filled with glee.

"Finally~"

Atani could hear Yuan's smile from behind her voice. She sat on a chair while the water heated up and listened to what her divine parasite had to say. And... Well, she hated to say it, but the more Yuan spoke, the more Atani came to understand why she had been so eager to share this idea with her.

"You want to break down the Loyalists from the inside..."

This wasn't exactly outside of their realm of operations. So far, every attack they had made on the Loyalists had been from the inside in one form or another, but this was something entirely different. Yuan wasn't recommending an espionage mission or planting a physical attack like before. No, she was talking about something a little more psychological. Something that would essentially lead the Loyalists to break each other down. It was cruelly deceptive, and something that one would probably never expect from 'The Goddess of Mercy,' but after spending centuries in the void, even the purest of hearts could become tainted.

"It's a good idea, I'll give you that."

The kettle began to whistle, and Atani stepped over to take it off the burner. She contemplated Yuan's idea as she poured the steaming water into her cup of dried rose.

"This one is going to take time to plan," Atani said to Yuan. Even if she wanted to, she couldn't go out and do this mission at this very moment. And for that matter, neither could Yuan, lest she wanted to run the risk of being caught by the Loyalists. Which, given the level of planning currently presented to Atani, was rather high. Despite not outright voicing these thoughts, Atani could tell Yuan knew what she was thinking, and the goddess agreed with her assessment on the matter.

"We may need Nadia's help again with this..."

Which, inevitably, meant Yuan would get to take the lead on this mission.

Maybe.

It all depended on when and where this would take place. It wasn't crucial for Yuan to make an appearance, especially if the plan involved infiltrating the facility again. If that was the case, Atani would be the preferred face of the operation.

But, of course, that also boiled down to how they would behave during all of this. While it was true Yuan often liked to go to the Third Movement as herself and only herself, she still sometimes struggled to maintain her godly form when she wasn't truly the one in control. Essentially, any time Atani's emotions were relatively well in check, it was tedious for Yuan to fully present herself as Yuan. There would be moment when her horns shrank for instance, or her gold eyes turned to green, or streaks of blonde would appear in her hair where there was supposed to be silver. All of this could happen even while Atani was more or less comfortable with Yuan taking the reins.

Yuan would often have to excuse herself and retreat to a place where she could be alone to look at her reflection to correct her appearance. The inverse was sometimes true with Atani as well, but she often had better control than Yuan did.

If Atani were to be the 'face' of this operation and it were to include Nadia, there was the added benefit that the scientist knew the appearances of both Atani and Yuan. But, if there was any suspicion among the Loyalists that Nadia was no longer part of their faction and worse, actively working to oppose them in favor of the Third Movement, that would then increase the likelihood of Atani being identified as a false member of the Loyalists herself. It was a precarious situation, no matter which way you looked at it, which only added to the complexity of this mission in particular.

Atani sat and sipped on her now perfectly steeped tea. Satisfied, she added a dollop of fresh cream and stirred gently. In one hand, she held her head up by her chin. In the other, she held the warm cup of tea. She closed her eyes and continued to reflect on the plan.

With the help of Yuan-- because two minds were better than one, even if they occupied the same space-- Atani put together a plan. As much as she didn't wish it to involve the goddess herself, she figured it would be best to have her play a small role to stretch out Nadia's time and lessen Atani's direct involvement with the Third Movement.

It always helped the elf to write out her plans in a methodical manner, of course in this case using the Val'Elvarin script to keep it encoded-- even if she was in the comfort of her own room, she didn't quite trust her surroundings in Talaz Lagaar enough to be absolutely certain nobody could be watching. Some may call it paranoia to an extent, but Atani was a firm believer that one could never be too careful... Especially with her past in dealing with people such as Carnil.

Atani, that night, sent a note to Nadia. Or rather, Yuan did according to the signature left at the bottom. It informed her of the upcoming plan, and that the Third Movement would be honored to have the doctor's help once more; however, not all details were enclosed within the note. To hear the remainder of the plan, she would have to meet with Yuan the following morning. Assuming she agreed with the feasibility of their plan, they could then move on to the next steps.

In the meantime, however, Atani would have to get some rest. The Wood Elf curled up into bed and turned out the lights. She rested her head on the pillow, mulling over the plan over and over again until it was the very last thing she thought about before finally nodding off to sleep. Come morning, she would be more than prepared to launch the attack.

Of course, come morning, it was not Atani who set out at the beginning of the day; it was Yuan. The goddess met up with Nadia at the base once more. This time, there was no magic powder involved to knock the poor doctor out. By now, she was a fully trusted member of the Third Movement. To this day, her hack was still feeding valuable information to the Movement, and as far as anyone knew, it was not a two-way stream that fed their information to the Loyalists. So, all was well, and the doctor had another role to serve today.

Yuan briefed Nadia on the plans, to which the scientist agreed to, but she informed Yuan that it would be a far riskier endeavor than the last mission they ran. Yuan of course acknowledged this risk, but if successful, the long term damage inflicted upon the trust between Loyalists would make it all worth it.

And so, knowing what to do, Nadia set out to complete her task. Unfortunately, she could not prepare anything beforehand under the protection of the Third Movement. To make this as believable as possible, she would have to have access to information at the facility right then and there.

Atani, of course, would appear at the facility before Nadia and would be there to cover for her and assist whenever necessary. Granted the nature of their internal attack, Atani would very likely be helping out this time; however, it would still be up to Nadia to take the brunt of this mission.

Upon seeing the scientist walk in, Atani walked over to her and pretended to assess her credentials-- one of the tasks certain Loyalists did to screen their members whenever they came to the facilities. While she did that, she went over the plan with her one last time.

It was rather simple in theory. Nadia would get into the system and plant false traces of evidence linking certain members of the Loyalists to being part of a rivaling faction. It helped to find real evidence of some of this as well, to mix in with their fake evidence. Atani was responsible for finding some of this herself while Nadia did the fabrication. There were documents, whispers, rumors, secret messages... All of these and more were leaked in strategic locations to fuel feelings of distrust among the Loyalists, to slowly erode any sense of 'loyalty' they might have had among one another.

By the end of the day, Atani could say with confidence that their plan was beginning to work. From eavesdropping on several conversations, there was definitely heightened skepticism among the Loyalists. She had even heard someone outright accusing another of being part of the Separatists. At least today, the Loyalists were crumbling from the inside, and they would likely lose members as a result of it.
