Personality Personality: Rose is a bright and excitable young woman with an adventurous spirit that can’t wait to explore every inch and corner of the world. From a young age, she was raised by her magic mentor after being abandoned by her mother who chose comfort over her. So since then, Rose never put much stock in blood ties but instead in those she chose as family such as friends she made or even people she became romantically involved with. The young dragon slayer is not the best at concentrating and is easily distracted by things that are shiny or new. Perhaps it's due to the nature of her magic but Rose is often attracted to bright and shiny things. Such as trinkets and unique light fixtures. Even when on quests, she can easily get off track if something pretty or shiny enough draws her attention. Having been mostly on her own from a young age, Rose learned not to easily put her faith in others but that doesn’t mean she won’t be sociable and make friends. When she does make a friend, Rose is fiercely loyal to those people and will try to do everything in her power to help and protect them. However, if she were to be stabbed in the back by someone she decided to trust, let’s just say there would be hell to pay. Rose is fully aware of how beautiful she is, and will often use that to her advantage. Like for example, if there’s a merchant charging too much for something she wants, she’ll gladly seduce said merchant for a discount. If she sees someone attractive she will almost always try flirting with them, unless it's clear they aren’t unattached. The young dragon slayer is determined to be successful and get a happy end, she’ll do just about anything to achieve that so long as it doesn’t compromise her principles in the process. To her, success means having lots of money, a nice house, and a happy marriage with someone wonderful who would only ever have eyes for her. If there’s one thing that Rose absolutely can’t stand, it's those who would cheat on their romantic partners or betray the trust of someone who sincerely cared about them. Those types of people deserve to get beaten up and humiliated in public. After spending most of her early youth traveling around with her mentor, Rose grew to love the idea of visiting new places and learning new things so she doesn’t stay in one place for very long. Always on the move to the next place. Whether it be for pleasure or work, it doesn’t really matter to Rose. As long as she’s able to, the young mage will go as far as her legs will take her. Rose has a special soft spot for cute animals such as cats and dogs. She has a pet calico cat named Cheshire, who is her very best friend. She spends a good portion of the money she makes on buying things for Cheshire such as food, treats, toys, and even little outfits. After a long quest or just a long day, Rose knows she can come home to her sweet kitty to recharge. All in all, Rose is a hyperactive and adventurous young mage who’s determined to be more than both her mother and father ever thought she could be by being richer, more successful, and happier than either of them. Each Dragon Slayer has their own form of Magic, just like each Dragon is a master of their own element. In addition, they also have the ability to consume the element which they utilize, just as long as it is not created from their own Magic. Dragon Slayers are known to possess keener senses than those of normal humans such as smell, as well as distinctive characteristics and features such as slitted pupils and noticeably sharper teeth. History History: Rose's parents met 24 years ago, while her father, Rayleigh Hilston, a merchant of Caelum was traveling for business, he met Rose's mother, Akira Hoshino, an aristocrat's daughter. The two fell in love and when Akira's parents disapproved of their relationship, she decided to leave Joya with her lover. Not long after returning to Caelum, Akira, and Rayleigh wed and had their first child, Raizo Hilston, who would be the heir to Rayleigh's merchant group. Then two years later, they welcomed their second child, a daughter who they named Rose, after Rayleigh's grandmother. However, the honeymoon phase didn't last for very long, after Raizo and Rose had grown some, the couple began arguing often, Rayleigh had not remained loyal to Akira, and he had an affair with his secretary at the merchant's guild. When his wife found out, she was furious and demanded he end things and fire her from the guild, when Rayleigh refused, Akira decided to divorce him and return home to her parents with their children. Naturally, with no familial support, Akira was on the losing side in the divorce, she was not able to take both children with her, only her daughter Rose, Raizo would remain with Rayleigh so he could be trained to take over the guild when he came of age. Akira returned to Joya with Rose, having the young girl take her family's name, Hoshino. The Hoshino family was not all too thrilled that their unfilial daughter had abruptly returned with a child resembling the man she had run away with. In fact, they refused to allow her to return home unless they gave up the child. Unless she gave up her daughter, she would be forced to be out on her own, with little to no money, she chose comfort over protecting her own child and abandoned her on the Border of Joya. It wasn't long after being abandoned by her mother that young Rose, who was only seven years old at the time, happened upon a lacrima, although the time, Rose thought it was food due to starving and ate it. After consuming the lacrima, Rose realized it wasn't food and now had magical energies flowing within her. Rose decided to leave for the land of makes, Florence, where maybe she would stand a better chance at survival. During her travels there, Rose decided to learn to control the magic the lacrima she ate had given her. She could now consume light and light magic. She was able to manipulate light at will and attack with it. Once Rose arrived in Fiore, she began taking on quests in order to make a living, it was during one of those quests she met members of the Paradise Dawn Guild, she liked what they stood for and what they were about.
