Kaito knows that he needs to keep going deeper into this all and make sure that he finds some answers and why they looked like they were closely looking like people that he knows, were they making an army and trying to get copies of people or were they sneaking around and replacing people with these hybrid robot copies of them that look like normal people when really they are just mindless copies with the persons memories put into them to fool people. Kaito needed to make sure that he got proof of things like this if he could. Right now he had no proof of anything and he was still working alone and then he sees an exceed that runs up to him and he is confused as she did Revy's hands on the hips stance as she waited for the man to get to where she had stopped and he was feeling like he was having flash backs.

The exceed looked at him and said she would be helping him today and he agreed as a bit of extra help sounds nice and he takes note that the exceed is acting strange around him but he doesn’t have time to be stuck on the small details but it was rare to see exceeds here he felt so this one might be special or was here for something else. Kaito walks with the exceed and he feels like he knows her from somewhere but he can’t place her so he wasn’t going to be rude and ask her to tell him from where he had known her from but he keeps going until they get to this place and they go in being given their equipment and he keeps to himself as they get to the area but today it seems like they are just normal people and nothing special like the others he had tended to and he looks around, seemed they were onto him.

Kaito worked with the exceed who seemed to work like how Revy did, she started at the equipment of the person like their prosthetic pieces to make sure that they were in working order leaving Kaito to take care of the person side of it and get the person looked at and he started tending to them as he went along with them and the exceed seemed to keep looking at him, it made Kaito miss Revy even more as she was his team mate and his best friend but now she just disappeared on him without a word, maybe it was time he moved on from his loss but he knows deep down that he can never just move on from her. He keeps just working quietly as he doesn’t want to cause drama with the exceed that was helping him currently. Kaito bandages and hands them medication to keep them healthy and hopefully a bit more happier than they were when they got here.

The exceed is working very hard to keep up with Kaito and he admits he has admire that the exceed is working so hard to help him and he was glad that she showed up as he was starting to feel very over whelmed lately working alone so it was good to keep him from losing his mind and ending up too far behind in this line up but it felt like he was working too hard and he was no longer taking the small breaks that Revy made him take to keep himself out of trouble and from dropping dead from being too tired. The exceed is making this a lot easier for him and he hopes she can keep up with the effort that she is putting in right now as she might be able to keep up with him and not just lose her head of steam and end up passing out.

Kaito wonders what is going on as he was feeling like this was like working side by side with Revy again but that can't be as she was a different color and build than she had been before as she was not one to really back down either and plus last he had seen Revy she was deathly ill. He shook his head and he tried to refocus himself as he keeps tending to the people in front of them but he just couldn't seem to shake the feeling that this exceed was his partner but if she was Kaito would have thought that she would have told him that she was but she was just like her. Kaito was having a mighty internal struggle about this. He hears glass break and he looks in that way as mutated dogs had broken into the building and Kaito moved to to in front of the exceed and without even thinking called out "Watch out Revy!" as he got in front of her having gently pushed the exceed out of the way and him getting in front of her blocking and protecting the exceed knocking the dogs away.

The exceed seemed to have rebooted at him calling out that name and memories came flooding back to her of her past life and the things that she and Kaito had done and even back to when she left him to try and find a way to get better and live up to being at his side she was not sure what had happened or how she had gotten here just that she knew she was looking for something or someone and she wondered how she had forgotten Kaito then she ran up to him and helped him as she was stronger and faster now and she wasn't going to hold him back as much as she had before by being far weaker and more useless than she was now and she showed him what she could do and she figured that she would tell him everything after they had finished here.

After Kaito finished off the dogs and sent them away and he says that he was sorry to the exceed for calling her by his old partners name and she told him that it was fine and a pretty name. She was scared that Kaito might be mad at her and not accept her back so she was going to wait and then tell him later when she could build up the courage though she would ask to be his partner once they had finished and see if he is even looking to get more help or if her leaving in the first place had jaded him about trusting people. She reminds him that he is here to treat the people not to slay mutants and he needs to get refocused and Kaito felt like he was being scolded by this exceed and he is starting to wonder if all exceeds are like this or if this one was sent to him because she would fit the hole in his life that Revy left behind.

Kaito sighs and refocuses and he gets back to taking care of the sick and injured that had come to this place for his help and this exceed is now really filling the hole as being nearly his perfect back up like Revy use to be and he keeps hard at work so that he doesn't let this exceed down and he keeps working hard and not letting this chance slip through his hand and makes the most of this team up that he had not been expecting but now he was starting to wonder if maybe they had made a replacement Revy somehow and this exceed wasn't want she looked like and he keeps working hard as he didn't want to think about it and if this was really happening but he finished tending to the people that were here and the exceed sheepishly asked him to please be allowed to join him on his team and Kaito accepted as the more the merrier and he figured once Revy returned it might be nice to have a friend to talk to that is like her.
