Nana sat with her right leg crossed over her left leg as she sat at the bar before her. She admired the assorted colors and shapes of the various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages displayed for the convenience of the customers. A man sat near her and he was saying something. He was talking to her but wouldn't sit directly beside her. His name was Herman Schwarz. He was an influential and greedy business man here on Luluhawa Island. His reputation proceeded him here even though he was anything but extraordinary.

The man had learned upon their first meeting that flirting with her was a very dangerous game. It wasn't that she was unapproachable, but rather unpredictable and had a nasty personality. She continued to drink the free drinks he generously paid for to win her favor, the favor of a dark quest he needed people like her to accomplish for his grand ambitions. "As I said when you first arrived, there is another business encroaching on my territory. They're trying to buy my customers or wiggle into some of my business dealings." he droned on trying to explain to Nana why his request of her had been so important.

The long blonde haired daemon woman continued to sip from some red wine for several long seconds after Herman Schwarz ceased his explanation. She was already aware of his competition as well as how the competition would affect his own business interests. "I assume you would like me to do something about your competition; Yes? What exactly are you asking a lady such as me to do?" she would ask inquisitively and with twisted humor. She already had an inkling suspicion as to what Herman wanted done. There was too much wealth here and the rich would casually toss aside the price of lives for their own greedy machinations.

It was clear enough to Nana what was necessary to complete Herman's task. Would he have the gall to ask her though? She figured him to be a man who didn't personally get his hands dirty. Within a few moments, he would confirm Nana's suspicions. "Get rid of them by any means, if you catch my implications." he would say in a grim tone but would refuse to look her in the eyes.

Nana allowed his implied meaning to hang in the air for several long seconds of silence. To Nana, a clients' words were their agreement and also a binding reasoning to which usually prevented Nana from going too far in her misdeeds. On this occasion however, Herman had given Nana complete authority to decide on how to go about her task. There was another factor that played in the back of Nana's mind. Herman had asked Nana and her guild specifically because he wanted his business competition dead, literally. There were few mages who were dark enough to take the lives of others on their clients' requests. After a long moment of silence that made Herman uncomfortable "If that's what you want, consider it done." she would say with a tone of finality.

The look on his face of relief was visible even though he tried to hide it. Eternal Nightmare was a dark guild who commited murder among other crimes, but most of their goals were aimed at a higher purpose to remove corruption. This task was somewhat beneath Nana's guild, but still within reason.

With her answer given to the man, she had agreed to do this task for him. What he was asking her to do was considered a challenging prospect, even for a dark mage of her caliber. She would have to pull out all of her tricks to accomplish her goal and not implicate her client in the small details. Business expeditions such as this usually didn't come along without adequate protection to ensure the viability and safety of their equipment and workers.

Without another word to Herman, she gulped down the rest of the wine in her glass before standing. As she stood, she grabbed the bottle half full of wine still from the table she and Herman had been sitting at. With a wave of her hand, she walked out of the bar with the bottle of win and began to sip it casually as she disappeared from Herman's sight. Although she was gone from his sight, he still worried. What if she failed? Or worse, blabbed that he had hired her to kill his competition or worse still. if she took a bribe from the other business company and decided to off him instead?!

Nana had not seen this 'competiton' of Herman's before. She had heard rumors of them landing on Luluhawa Island and making claims similar to Herman's own. She knew that eventually the situation between the two prospective clients would become volatile and one of them would seek to get rid of the other competition. The only difference between the two of them was that Herman seemed to have struck first by securing the aid of Eternal Nightmare's guild master.

It didn't take Nana long to find some men that belonged to Melon Tusk's gang, the leader of Herman's worrisome business competition. The men were surly and somehow familiar to Nana. Had she seen them before? Possibly they belonged to Herman's group at one point, but that mattered little Nana. She tailed the two men as they left a restaurant and headed back to the base of their operations. These men and their leader hadn't been on this island long, but it seemed that they had done well enough for themselvse in securing assets to work with and from.

There was a lot of excavation and land clearing equipment here. the base of operations of Melon Tusk's gang worked out of a large warehouse. Nana whistled softly to herself as she admired the amount of dedication and jewels the patron of this venture must have spent to secure all of this. "Melon Tusk may be more rich than Herman Schwarz." she said to herself. The money mattered little. She would have murdered Herman and his gang if Melon Tusk had been the first to strike a deal with her.

She was almost ready to begin her operation, but she wanted to make sure all of the key players were there beforehand. the last thing she wanted was to murder the workers here only to find Melon tusk was not there. Spooking the man would jeopardize her clients' business further. Nana decided to go about this from a business perspective. Instead of just charging in with indiscriminate murder and mayhem, she decided to use tact. She walked up to some of the posted guards, her hands in the air and called out to them. "I need to speak to your boss. It involves the future of his business on Luluhawa Island." she would say.

Nana did not lie, the matter truly did involve Melon Tusk and his future endeavors with business on the island of Luluhawa. Of course she was infamous enough that any average person could recognize her. Her appearance near their base and her subsequent words had placed the two sentry guards in a state of heightened alertness. Nana's hands were raised in surrender however and one of the guards rushed away to tell his boss. the other stayed behind to guard Nana. Which was a pointless task, since they both knew she could slaughter him before he blinked his eyes. "Make one wrong move and-" he would say before the sound of several footsteps and a booming voice interrupted him.

"What's the meaning of this?!" said the loud voice as the guard and nana both turned their heads to look at the short stubby appearance of Melon Tusk. Not just the boss, but all of his underlings as well. That made Nana smile. At least the man knew enough about her to know he needed all of his men to face any possible dangers.

Nana knew the best way to seize a conversation and flow of logic was to tell truths while mixing in lies. She stood harmlessly in front of Melon Tusk, suddenly surrounded by his men as she spoke. "The other major business man Herman Schwarz has hired me to kill you. He never paid me for a dozen hired thugs though. I'm willing to renegotiate a deal with you if you pay me more." she would say. She gave him a half truth but one damned enough to give the man a gasp of surprise, followed by suspicion and ultimately a fear for his own life.

He thought for a moment, looking at all of his guards. He knew they were strong, he also knew there was a possibility that they could barely win if they declined her offer. Yet there was more to his logic. Herman wanted him dead but Herman was also his major rival for business on Luluhawa Island. If they fought Nana and managed to kill her, their forces would be terribly weak. Herman could sweep in with his forces and finish them off. Worse, the guild that Nana was the guild master of could exact revenge on him. There was a plus side to this situation though. Sure it would cost more jewels, but he could hire Nana to kill Herman and nullify any competition fully.

Melon Tusk knew this was a gamble, but the odds were stacked against him. If Nana had been here to kill him alone, she could have easily assassinated him when he was vulnerable and away from all of his guards. That logic overruled any other suspicion he had. Why would Nana reveal herself to him and all of his guards otherwise? He smiled to himself and snapped his fingers. His right hand man approached from his position around Nana and produced a thick pouch of jewels. "So... Queen of Nightmares. How much is my life and the worth of all my guards' lives worth?" he would ask dryly.

Nana knew she had fooled him. At his words, the alertness of his guards loosened. In their minds a deal had already been struck and their safety was assured. Nana smiled with a wicked smile. They were placing a price on a human's life after all. "One million jewels for each guard and ten million jewels for your own life." she would say. It was a lot... A lot more than even Melon Tusk had anticipated. Ten Million for his own life seemed like a lot but.. if WAS his life after all. his hand trembled as he held the pouch of jewels

Every guard there quickly did the math. Then they suddenly felt very small in comparison to Melon Tusk's investitures. "Hmmm... That's a bit of a problem for me. Tell you what. How about I let you kill half of my men and we can call it a deal. You spare half my men and kill Herman Schwarz for me instead?" he would say with a silver tongue. Although he spoke eloquently, his men knew that he was damning them to hell for his own greed. The question was... Who would die and who would live?

Nana laughed softly as she raised her hands and made her gunblades appear in her two hands. "You're a generous man, Mr. Melon Tusk." she would say, although technically not agreeing to his terms. Melon Tusk sighed visibly as he though his life was spared. The rest of his crew did not sigh in relief however. Having no one deciding who was going to die, every man only thought of himself. Had they banded together, they may have had a better chance. Even still, it meant half of them would die and they couldn't rely on their employer or the rest of his men to protect them. They did the only logical thing that they could think of. They ran.

The only man who didn't run was melon Himself. Instead he began to walk back towards his warehouse. He called out over his shoulder though. "Once you've filled your quota, I'll be in the warehouse." he would say. It was directed to Nana and the rest of his men. It meant that after Nana's hunt was over, the rest were to get back to work.

Nana hunted them then. She unleashed both her Daemon and Devil transformations and began to pick the men off one by one. First one, then three, then six. None of the men were counting though as they ran. they didn't know how many of their allies she killed. Instead she just kept killing. One after another, she found quickly in the forests. She shot them with her magic gunblades or skewered them with the blades of her guns. Ultimately they were all dead by the time her hunt was over. The most enjoyable part was, she had killed all of Melon tusk's men and none of them had teamed up to help each other... Or even count how many she killed!

All of them were dead but the boss himself. She had used his very greed and placing a price on a human's life, to seal his own fate. By mathematics, Melon Tusk had unknowingly placed a price of sixteen million jewels on his own head. There would be no collection of this monetary amount however. Nana had already agreed to Herman Schwarz's price. She had only used the greedy machinations of mankind to make her task that much easier.

With all of his guards dead, it was fairly quiet now. Melon Tusk sat comfortably in his leather seat as he waited for the rest of his men to return. Soon, Herman Schwarz would be dead and Melon tusk thought about how he would become that much more rich by claiming all of his business rival's property and equipment. The footsteps he heard were that of Nana's and he turned halfway in his seat to face her. "Done with your little game? I hope you didn't scare the rest of my men too terribly. I need them for taking over Herman Schwarz's business." he would say in a calm manner. Sure Nana was scary, but he knew she was a professional and stayed true to her... word

Nana's appearance started the man just as much as a realization he had just come to. "You... You already struck a deal with Herman.." he said with the epiphany. That meant she wouldn't back out of her original agreement!

Nana was covered from head to toe in the blood of Melon Tusk's men. Not only that, but she still held onto both transformations and barely looked human at all any more. She was quite like a demon, having bargained for the lives of men. "I did not Herman paid me to kill you. I lied about your men though. He paid me to kill all of them too." she would say with a cackle as the short fat man realized he had sold his own safety and life away for the price of his men's lives. He knew he couldn't outrun her, nor was he anywhere near strong enough to fight her. Worse, all of his riches seemed in effective in swaying her decision.

he didn't rush this time. Instaed he just let go of his bowels from faer. His body trembled and he began to beg for mercy even though he knew there would likely be done. The rumors were true that Nana was a heartless murderer who enjoyed toying with the minds and bodies of her victims. A point Nana made very clear then as she placed the points of her gunblades deep into the man's knees. She gave the gunblades a twist and snapped the man's kneecaps. That shut his begging up as he fell in agony from his seat to the ground and grabbed futilely at his legs and cried. Nana shot him once them, right in his femoral artery and walked away. He bled to death before she even left his warehouse.
