"Well...do not thank me yet sir. I am only agreeing that I will take up the mission you need help with. How easy or successful this is...well...that is a while different case". After Jikan said this, she would release the man's hand and turn. Beginning her steps to walk outside, headed back to village, Mia, and Maxx.

"All the same still madam Jikan", the village chief began to say as their hand shake was released. His hand shifting behind his back as he continued to talk. "For taking this job for us, I, and our people, thank you. And I shall await for your return and the news after", the man said in a calm and strong voice filled with years of leadership.

Jikan opened the door, half way out. She shifted her eyes to the chief and gave a nod before moving further. "Very well. Well I am off now".

Exiting out of the meeting home, the bright sky welcomed her. Her red hair with soft black tips resting on her back, blue green eyes shifting as Jikan's ear as the movements of bodies were under way as well as the in and out laughs of the youth present in the village back by Mia and Maxx. The sun light shined, landing on Jikan's arms in a gentle warmth. If the sunny day is excitement, the cloudy day is a well earned chance to rest the eyes, the soul... to daydream and breathe in a calm reflective mood. A balanced partnership in this sunny and yet cloudy day.

As Jikan turned and began to make her way back to Max, Mia, and the gathered children. She hopped that they were behaving, she would rather not have Mia crying and losing herself in a case of a massive fit. But, children were children, and a few older kids did nothing to really change that thought. Older kids were smarter and got into even more mischief after all.

If the youths did manged to behave. To be honest it was something of a minor thought to her. The bigger wonders traveling through her brain right now was this mission given to her. It was an underlying thing, but there was hope to re connect the two villages. Or at least from this chief. The end goal was the reacquiring of sacred land. The chief did not seem to care about holding onto the river that Hogo wanted. Aitoheiwa only wanted what was theirs, if Jikan was to believe the history bascs given to her. There was likely more to it though, there always was.

Either way....she had to consider her options. As much of a warrior she was, she knew her reputation. She had enough of a mixed history that her name could make some people stiff; with a little bit of pressure she could probably coerce cooperation. At least, for while she was here in this section of the North. It was a thing Jikan did not care to do often, but she was aware of such an option for her.

An undesired one as well as one she would not likely use, but an option all the same. Really, it all depended on the attitude and actions of the village of Hogo when she got there. If they were hard in communicating, fine. She could deal with that or just move on. However, being disrespectful to Jikan or threatening her was a whole other thing that she would not accepted. If such a thing happened and they wanted to fight...well, she would be more than happy to get into a good battle. But only if provoked.

Hopefully the option of talks and peace was an option on the table. She would seek that out first, for the safety of the children if nothing less. And well....the least amount of damage to this region of the North that she was hoping to plant a seed in the better. It was simple to burn it all to the ground and grow something anew. But, the smarter way was to work with the fertile soil so to speak and have what she planted sprout out stronger, easier, and more blended in.

If she did some good along the way and convinced the people to play her game. Only a boon.

Jikan understood the importance of home; having something to be attached to. Be it physically, mentally, or spiritually. The villages had their villages as their homes, but the sacred locations were a soul link that had them crying out to be re-united with. Either way Jikan had a mission to do and the foundation of a plan to grow. Her mind willed it, and it was going to be one way or another. Her determination would not accept anything otherwise. This trade deal would come to product something.
Completing her walk, Jikan found Mia and Maxx right where she left then. Under the soft shade of a bustling nest of trees with a group of kids and youth clambering about to pet them and ride on Maxx. Thankfully, the other kids seemed to have continued the rule of order and respect Jikan had requested. A neat little line set up to Maxx who seemed calm and happy.

"Well, to be honest. I am a little bit surprised. With the loud and energetic sounds I was hearing, I was sure they were causing quite a bit of a mess over here", Jikan said with a soft pleased hum as she walked up to Mia. The cat exceed currently being patted on the head by a little brown skinned demi human girl. A cat if Jikan had to say just by looking. "Yea, it is such a relief that they were all good children. No fighting, no pushing. And I am even sure that everyone got a turn!", the exceed side with a happy smile on her face as waving good bye to the little girl who went back to the open space of the village. Choosing to neither enter the pet Mia line, or the pet/ride on Maxx line.

Jikan went up and patted Max on his neck, The brown-white colored Duhilin making a soft neigh of joy at seeing his master return. Alas, at this point Jikan had to end the show for the children. Well, at least they all got a turn and seemed happy with this opportunity.

It was short, but Jikan ended up taking a break after this. Originally planning to leave to travel to Hogo village immediely, things seemed to change in the course of plan. The kids seemed to take a great liking to Mia and Maxx, and a few had begged to try and get more time. Due to this, a number of adults came up to Jikan and offered to share a dinner. A feat of food, drinks, games, music, and dancing. A periodically celebration it seemed that worked in tandem with giving them the opportunity to give thanks to Jikan for accepting the job. It seemed everyone really wanted this resolved, not just the chief.

Well, it was a bit of a travel from where she came. And Mia as well as Maxx seemed a bit thirsty and hunger. She supposed....that she could stay for a little bit and rest. Perhaps it could give her ears some more info to use or at least be weary of?

For the most part, such a thing did not transpire. There were tales of the customs of the village. Of the past history of both villages. As one, as kin and friends. And as enemies. Plenty....and Jikan meant plenty, of people. Came up and told her about the little things that filled in their day to day lives. It was good to know more about the people she was trying to work with. But over the hours, she found that for the most part, there was no useful information. Well, she got food, water, and some entertainment. And Mia and Maxx looked so rested and recovered, so it was worth it.

With half of the day practically gone now, but now was as good. Better than later. With her gear collected and ready to go, as Jikan walked outside of the massive tint that held a part of the celebration. She had found that a group of people had moved outside of covered housing, present outside where the camp fires were glowing.

Jikan gave a look around at the people before jumping onto her beloved mount Maxx. Her hands resting on him as she spoke, "What is all of this chief? A going away party?", she asked looking over the faces in front of her. The amount of welcome and care from these people were surprising. To be honest, it made things all the more unknown as well as suspicious to Jikan. As if they were working hard to get her on their side. Perhaps it was that, perhaps this was just how the village was, how the people were. Perhaps on the other hand, they all were just trying to run the ground work to make sure she was not against them. After all, at times it was better to just be neutral with a person than an ally. An enemy was always a thing to try and avoid if possible.

Jikan strouted over on top of her white and brown haired Duhlin mount. A soft gallop before stopping before them all. Her katana blade resting in its shealth on her left hip, and her Mero gaunlet on her right hip, nesting in her hook. Mia was sitting in front of her friend as always. A furry bundle of contentment joy as she rode along. Her right paw out as she waved hello.

"The weeee children were wishing to see you and Mia off lass. It seemed that they took a mighty fine liking to your cat", one of the adults said a grinning boy right on his side.

Another child spoke up then, their father besides them as well. "Byyyye Mia", the girl said with a wave and a giggle. "Byyyye Lili, you stay sweet and nice okay?". Mia said in response with her own happy smile. "Okaaaaaay".

The father looked down at his little girl, a calm and happy look in his eyes and on his face. "All of us would like to wish you safe travels and a peaceful negotiation"

Jikan hoped so. And said as much as she departed.

Moving through the trails and overgrown greenery that gave the Deep Green is full, vast, and wild appearance. The crooked and turning branches creating a dangling shade that hovered over Jikan's and Mia's heads as they traveled. The forest was thick with trees that stretched up to the sky. The ends of the tree branches being like paint brushing coating the heavens in a white and blue master piece.

The world at the ends of the tree tops fading in and out of existence, a page of wonder in the eyes of its seer. Unique distant. Much like the village of Hogo in its relationship with its former kin.

Jikan wondered. The last time she was in these parts of Worth Woodsea she had to resolve a tense relationship between two villagee that were on the edge of war. It was at the time, a matter of old rulers holding onto the wounds, hatred, and cloak and dagger plots of the past. The only resolution that seemed to bring peace coming from the new generation who healed from those scars and wanted to move forward. Anew with a more clean slate with the upcoming leaders of their generation who were taking over. By time or by force.

If such a thing was true it was yet to be seen. And from Jikan's ears in the north. Seen as well. Time would tell all: whether the older generation that needed to step down would peacefully and truly, whether people who deserved the roles would acquire them, and do right by them. And if the new generation would truly make a change and acquire peace, if not, at least a non hostile harmony of co existence. All these possibilities where white threads placed out into the ether. Waiting to come to the eyes to the ones able to see them, and even more for the few bold enough, or crazy enough, to pull on their strands of fate to push them into the reality and future.

All in all, that was all just something that would have to be wiated on. What would happen was unknown, and the unknown was not something Jikan mused her time on. The facts, possibilities. Where what she was on, focused. The known options in front of her as well as the ones that could be discovered.

Either way, the traveling through woods and curves on Duhlin back was coming close to an end. And Jikan's wonderment on if this would end similar to her last village negotiation would soon come with an answer. The sun had finally finished its slow descent in the sky, the down swing of its pendulum stabilizing at its lowest point. The outline of Hogo village's domain coming into view. A blend of open areas trees, and streams of water flowing through thin veins of nature's liquid. Jikan's eyes looked forward, the silhouette homes in the distance but steadily coming i to view. Or there was left was-

"Who goes there!?", called out an array of voices, pushing into each other as one.
