Another day another dollar. Money was stupid. Even though he was in the north now and growing crops had been so much easier, the Dragon Slayer still found himself grinding for a little bit of change. Thank goodness he wasn't doing anything strange for it though. He had a lot of pride, it'd take him literally hitting rock bottom before he even thought about dropping his draws for some jewels. Today Khalfani was back in Orchidia to do a very simple task. Apparently there was a giant beanstalk in the middle of the town that seemed to grow back over and over again. Countless mages had torn the stalk down but after a certain amount of time it only popped up again. As the rogue prince made his way through Orchidia, he wondered to himself if Jack had actually been at the top. It would have been funny if something magical was up there, but he couldn't deal with anymore giants.

After saving the ENTIRE NORTH from strange humanoid creatures that they were still trying to figure out, the commander of Paradise Dawn was tired. These days, he was always tired though. Who knew that being a guild master would be so...tedious? Khal sighed at the thought. In any case, this beanstalk that Nilan wanted him to collect samples of must have really been worrisome. Could it be something more than just a slight mutation? Hopefully it was nothing too endangering, Yuurei would be heartbroken if it had to be destroyed. The center square wasn't too far now. Up ahead Khalfani could see it standing tall, damn near peering through the clouds and gazing upon the gods. The Dragon Slayer wanted to climb it as soon as he approached, but of course, he didn't Upon approaching the Beanstalk he nodded at the people around him. They seemed curious in the spectacle.

The commander spoke to the townsfolk and asked how often they had seen this happen. Some of them said they were used to it, but it was always something truly amazing to witness. Other people were simply tourists or new to the city and said this was the first time they had seen such a thing. Khalfani shared their sentiments. It was a huge beanstalk. The dark-skinned rogue leaned forward and sniffed it. It smelled like...plants. As far as he could tell at the moment, there was nothing crazy about it. Maybe he was missing something, maybe it was just a natural thing and really didn't pose a threat. Either way, the mage pulled out a scalpel from his brown cloak and began scraping the stalk. For a moment he thought it was gonna start moving or roaring, but thank goodness it didn't. He probably would have shit his pants. After about three scraped, he put the beanstalk pieces into a tube with his hands. Real niggas don't use gloves, he thought as he closed the lid. All done. Putting the tube in his pocket he went back to Nilan and traded it in for his reward.
