Poropo Poproporp
The final mission against Bear Claw was at hand - the monk had to get the extremely dangerous magical item, the dagger, from the Guild Master of Bear Claw known as Heinrich! Poropo was not necessarily given a plan by the Hosenka Authorities on how to steal the dagger which the Guild Master kept on him at all times, but the monk may have formulated a plan which would involve running away at the right opportunity. Poropo waddled into the guild hall of Bear Claw and greeted the members he saw, relaxing for once instead of competing with each other, "Hello, how are you? Good to see everyone is relaxing finally, hah hah hah!" The members of Bear Claw were not happy despite relaxing - the monk would be told Heinrich was upset something was stolen from the vault. The monk gulped a little knowing he was the culprit, but thought the things stolen would go unnoticed. Unfortunately, Heinrich considered everyone stolen and put into the vault to be his and he seemed to be a very material individual. The monk did not like being material unless the object had a value in connecting him to the Iron Deity or something useful.

Heinrich only cared if the object was not supposed to be his to begin with and if the object was in the vault. The guild master kept a detailed list of all the vault items and quickly noticed things missing. Poropo would need to confront Heinrich for more than one reason now - not only did the monk need to obtain Heinrich's magical dagger which let him disappear and become undetectable, the monk also had to cool down the guild master in order to begin the first part of his plan. The reason the dagger was the last part of the Bear Claw series of spying missions was due to the power the dagger gave Heinrich - the build overall was not special and could be taken out by the Hosenka Authorities, but Heinrich's dagger allowed the magicless man to be on par with other guild masters in Fiore only due to how undetectable the dagger made him. As long as Heinrich had mana to spare, the dagger would be extremely dangerous! Poropo eventually got the news from all the other members of Bear Claw and decided he would try to calm down Heinrich a little for the sake of the mission.

Poropo entered Heinrich's little office and announced himself meekly, "Hello...Toro-...Tort is here to help, hopefully." Heinrich looked less upset and more sad. The Bear Claw guild master seemed to put a lot of his identity upon the stolen objects within the vault of Bear Claw, so when anything went missing, Heinrich seemed to shrivel a little inside. Poropo understood Heinrich was a little broken from something in the past which caused the guild master to become obsessive with having magical things, but to be so attached as to become depressed when something was stolen and unable to act felt too much for the monk. Granted, the monk knew people experienced life differently than he did - the monk grew up with nothing and felt he did not need anything which was not essential. Poropo entered the office of Heinrich fully and looked around for the dagger, but then decided to ask Heinrich what he was feeling, "so I have heard some things were stolen the other day when the alarm went off...were they important? The rest of the build does not seem to think so. In fact, they were objects you did not put in the vault anyway, you know, right?"

The monk's dismissive attitude made Heinrich look at the monk with disgust, likely the same reaction he had given the other member of Bear Claw up to this point. Logic and reason did not matter when emotional turmoil was in the mix - Heinrich treasured his vault and the contents within as if he had always owned those items. Nothing would stop him other than revenge for whomever did steal those magical objects! Heinrich got up from his chair and looked to the monk with sagging eyes, "you are wrong - they are important and I did put them in there. Everyone in this guild I founded, including you, is an extension of myself...whatever was stolen needs to be gotten back into the vault at all costs..." Heinrich's lack of enthusiasm was strange, but the monk felt Heinrich was just repeating a mantra to the monk in an attempt to seem present in the moment. Poropo figured Heinrich had scoured the vault and the rest of the guild hall for clues but found absolutely nothing. However, this all changed when the monk became present, "...the only clue I have is you being the one to guard the vault while we were gone..."

Poropo felt the pressure pushing against him - Heinrich accused the monk of stealing, which was correct, but did so only because the monk was meant to guard the vault! Heinrich had no evidence and just threw the accusation with no other options left at Poropo! The monk stumbled around the room as Heinrich attempted to wade closer with slow, methodical steps. Heinrich was extremely unwell, and not just emotionally - something had affected the normally bashful guild master of Bear Claw, the same guild master who caused the whole of the guild to become overcompetitive with each other until recently. Poropo did not know what to do other than keeping backing away from Heinrich as the seemingly drunk man took sloppy steps towards the monk in an attempt to do something horrible, imagined the monk. Poropo attempted to speak up, "hold on, Heinrich, I would never steal from the vault - I was guarding the vault the whole time and nothing was happening. Only when you and the others came home did something go wrong, but I don't even know what!" The monk's defense was fairly solid - there was no record of the monk opening the vault while the others were away.

The reason there were no records was because no such records were even kept by the vault's security system. Only when something was taken out without a replacement did the vault security go off. The monk was able to trick the security system by replacing stolen objects with various summons such as the Immortal Ring and Immortal Stool. The small Immortals were perfect for replacing other small magic objects within the vault. However, Heinrich still suspected the monk and continued to drunkenly walk closer and closer to the monk who in turn walked further and further away. Something was off about Heinrich and the monk wanted to know what, "Heinrich, are you alright? You look so pail for someone who is simply sad or angry - what did you eat recently?" Either something the monk stole was draining the life of Heinrich or Heinrich was poisoned by one of the other Bear Claw members. The latter explanation made the most sense, but the other explained by Heinrich may have been so obsessed with the idea of something missing from the vault. Poropo attempted to ask questions but Heinrich was not answering. Only the strength to move slowly and deliberately towards Poropo.

Heinrich then collapsed to the floor, unmoving and perhaps also not breathing either. The monk panicked and rushed to the aid of Heinrich - he may be a criminal but the monk wanted to remove impurity from a person rather than destroying the person, "hey! Heinrich! Wake up, you need to stay away and tell me what happened!" Heinrich was unresponsive and barely breathing. The monk did not know what to do and decided to call for help, but when the monk turned his face to the door in order to get a better shout going, one of the other members of Bear Claw stood there, grinning from ear to ear. The monk knew something awful just happened with Heinrich likely not getting out of Bear Claw alive anymore, "so...I see what happened now..." The monk flipped over Heinrich to his back while sneakily taking the magical dagger from Heinrich's now lifeless corpse. Whatever killed Heinrich was effective but slow - Heinrich may not have even noticed something was wrong, not even when he perished. "A sad way to go, to say the least...am I next?" The other member of Bear Claw shook his head, seeming to just want to leave now.

Poropo got what he came for, but the price was Heinrich's corpse. The monk and the rest of the Bear Claw members decided to simply leave the guild hall and go their separate ways. Poropo was not happy with this conclusion, especially after all the hard work put into trying to arrest the members of Bear Claw. They would end up disappearing with the skills taught to them by the one they left behind, their guild master and mentor Heinrich. Poropo also never learned anything about Heinrich's past and just left Bear Claw as if he just completed another job. "Oh Iron Deity," said the monk while praying, "let Heinrich rest in peace with what he wishes to possess, even if material possessions are not where you put him." The monk did not know what else to do other than pray for Heinrich, a troubled man with a troubled, mysterious past. Poropo did not think he would see the last of the Bear Claw members just yet, but for the series of Bear Claw missions was complete and the monk was able to return to the Hosenka Authorities with a vital magical item and information about the other members plan.

"...they killed their own guild master in cold blood and left the guild hall as I did. Were they secretly spies as well?" ask the monk to one of the Hosenka Authorities. They could not answer the monk's question since spies are a valuable commodity, but the monk was told a spy was not ever meant to kill a target, only capture. If any of them were spies after all, they did a terrible job of being good spies. Killing a target meant removing vital information from the face of the world - Heinrich may have lead to other criminal connection within the underworld of Hosenka, likely being the reason he was killed. Poropo felt someone from the other Bear Claw members must have known something was off about one of the other Bear Claw members, perhaps Poropo or perhaps just a hunch which lead to a death. The monk felt uneasy about his job as a spy for the Hosneka Authorities, but they reassured the monk there was nothing he did or could have done to stop this - Heinrich chose his fate by making himself too important for the Bear Claw guild to function. Without him Bear Claw fell apart.
