Hassan

mission
Spoiler:

If there was a household name of dark mages or people who managed to take upon that mantle of being considered as a dark mage upon birth, something like that came with the Phantasm family. They had wealth beyond your wildest dreams and the kind of power that would make men shudder to this about crossing them or double-crossing them. The reputation of the Phantasm family precedes them, and they currently were the big group to go to work for in terms of magic. Unfortunately for Hassan, he messed around a bit with the martello family when they were after jerry's life. He managed to set up the hit of killing those guards and making it seem like an enemy family did it but making himself look like a free agent busybody was for the sake of getting people off of his trail.

In this particular moment, Hassan found himself at the Phantasm manor, waiting at the gates as the guards were on standby for those who were let in and let out of the compound. Waiting at the gates was a butler who served the younger of the Phantasm family, Sirius Phantasm.

"Right this way...."

The butler said this as he prepared to escort Hassan.

In the meeting hall, Sirius awaited him.

"Ah yes, the dark mage that I asked for, it's  pleasure."

After being greeted, Hassan sat down.

"You just be showering why someone like me has called you here. It's due to the fact that the guards that are employed in this castle are lacking a bit in skill. It's now what it's supposed to be if we are to consider their main purpose in protecting me and securing this place. If they fail at that, then there would be no need to employ them in the first place. I not only need a trainer, but I also need to give them a reality check. "

Hassan listened silently as he nodded. There wasn't much to be said, those who managed to fail a job at being someone's bodyguard shouldn't have the job in the first place. In addition to that, Hassan's capabilities as a mage might be something that would open the eyes of the other guards and quite possibly light a fire under them.

"Sure thing, I'll whip them into shape and show them a difference in strength. Once that happens, I'm sure they will get the point in regards to what you expect."

With Sirius watching, the guards were rather tense and nervous as Hassan started to bark orders. He was a part of a band of mercenaries in Desiertia,  he had high expectations in regards to working as a group and the success rate that was tied to working as a group.

"Alright, it seems to me that your employer is unhappy with your previous performance, so I'm here to whip you into shape.  You have no need for my name, just yes sir and no sir would suffice. Now, for starters, those of you that are brave enough to do functional combat step forward."

Hassan guessed they were afraid to embarrass themselves, but about three people showed up at once as Hassan started to edge them on to come at him.  With the earring, Hassan had a crazy amount of speed, so dodging the attacks that were targeted at him was rather easy as he met them with a counter punch each time.  Even though Hassan didn't have any sort of weapons or guns on him, he was utilizing his natural strength in order to overcome the strength and skills of his opponents.

"Alright! Who's next?"

Giving the guards a little bit of a break, Hassan went on over to his employer Sirius in the lobby to give a detailed report of what he learned so far. At the very least, he should give a minor report of what he has seen so far.

"Your thoughts?"

Hassan took a cigarette from his pocket and tucked it in the corner of his mouth. Afterward, he decided to light the butt of the cigarette and wave out the match.

"I think they are lacking in the fundamentals. Basic drills seem to be responded to at a slow pace and even though you allowed it, your men are no good to you with broken legs and arms. We wouldn't want their confidence shattered, we just want them to realize that they are not fulfilling their duties like this if they are this weak. Give me some time and I think that they will start to realize that and train harder."

Regardless of whether it was based on pride or replacing the staff with more willing participants. Those that were left behind would soon realize that Sirius was pretty serious about them getting their act together. As for Hassan, it seemed to be a good source of pay for him.

The training itself lasted from the early morning until the sun started to set. Hassan started to deviate from the one-on-one fighting sequences and then started to focus more on the fighting as a unit. At the very least, if they were unable to fight separately, it was quite possible that they could make up for their strength and weakness by fighting as a unit. This continued for some time, with Hassan giving some pointers and teaching them a few things that he's learned while being a member of the sleeping calamity guild. It was one of the good moments that Hassan realized that he was glad to be a member of sleeping calamity and the fact that the way that they taught their members was through tough love.

As the sun started to set, Hassan went back into the castle and started his final debrief for Sirius. There was a small yawn that escaped Hassan's mouth, but it wasn't because he was bored, he was pretty tired of using that much brainpower and stamina dedicated to the training. "They are going to be fine, don't worry.."

With a nod, Sirius decided to finally pay Hassan for all of his work today.
