There he was. Tempris was fairly irritated at the presence of a certain someone treading on her training grounds. She had been practicing with her sword every day she wasn't on a mission or doing god's work. All this work was because a certain someone beat her up by punching her in the face and then throwing her sword up into a tree. It took her hours to find it and a good 30 minutes to get it down. It was a horrible experience, one she was surely going to pay back in fold. If she wasn't in her current guild, she surely would be aiming to give the man a baptism of fire. But a last, she had to settle for just breaking his legs or something. Maybe a little bit of fire wouldn't hurt.

The girl managed to climb up upon a tree and waited for the man to come near by. Once he did she would draw her sword and then leap down.
"Curse faith that I found you heathen!"
Her goal was to slam down her weapon onto the man with the added force of gravity.

Tempris was dressed up in all her gear and wearing her black plague mask. Her lemur was flying circles above the fight ready to go in.

Ikazuchi had moved close to a particular tree as he trained, and it was then that he heard a voice that was oddly familiar shouting from above. He couldn’t prevent his gaze from travelling upward as surprise was visible in his expression. A small figure wielding an abnormally large sword for their size was descending. Dread bubbled up from deep within as a name resurfaced in his mind. ‘Tempris…’

The girl was equipped with new gear that he couldn’t recognize, but his eyes wouldn’t deceive him. He learned that her guild had changed, but this was the very same girl who had forced him to train with her. Ikazuchi felt shame as he recalled that encounter, but he didn’t have time to dwell on that. He was in danger, so he didn’t have the luxury to waste time cursing whatever it was that caused their paths to intertwine once again.

The young man moved quickly, almost instinctively, as he quickly raised Damocles above his head with his left hand to meet the attack. Gravity, weight, and even the girl’s own strength that seemed to have grown exponentially were against him as the angle of the sword shifted the point of the sword downward. The tip of the sword had been diagonally upward towards his right, but was naturally dropping lower.

‘Shit!’ Ikazuchi’s second sword, Spellcutter, was moving to support Damocles at this moment as it crossed behind it in order to brace and successfully deflect that swing. Immediately following that, Ikazuchi swung Spellcutter in his right hand down in an attempt to block that distinct flaming sword’s path up while he swung Damocles in his left hand down at the girl as a greeting. There was no hesitation as he moved because he recognized that this girl was many times more dangerous than she had been before.

Clashing metal screamed throughout the forest. The man was ready for her surprise attack like a rabbit was always watching out for the wolf. Adrenaline flooded her blood as the strength of Illumni filled her spirit. Her assault would not continue with holy flame. No she had to deal with the over glaring weakness of being slower. That is what this mask was for.

Tempris exhaled black smoke from her mask at the man as soon as her blade made contact with his. Then she pushed herself off his blade using her own blade, lunging backwards a couple of meters. The black smoke resembled ash and smog. It would drastically slow down the man which Tempris hoped would make him easier to compete with. At the same time however, she felt herself get a sudden burst of speed. She never moved so fast in her life. She was not even prepared but instinct alone allowed her to select a proper path that would allow her not to hit a tree. She would keep facing the man. He was already a dangerous opponent and she did not want to get caught off guard again. No this time she had to give it her all now.

Ikazuchi wasn’t surprised to see that the girl moved better than their previous encounter. It felt apparent that her skills had grown more refined as her strength grew. What Ikazuchi didn’t expect was for her mask to suddenly spew a cloud of black smog that he couldn’t avoid breathing in due to his surprise as she retreated a short distance. Ikazuchi felt a numb and dull feeling to spread throughout his body as that smoke dissipated.

Ikazuchi also lunged a couple of meters back in response at this point and took up a defensive stance. He felt frustrated due to moving slower than he was accustomed to, but it was still manageable. It could hinder his movement speed, but he was certain that he would at the very least be able to maintain his attacking speed.

Ikazuchi took a short moment to look at the girl who had drastic changes before speaking. “Why are you attacking me this time?!” Ikazuchi’s confusion was expressed with this question. It would certainly seem as though he was being wronged, but it had glossed over his petty actions after defeating the girl previously. Truthfully, the young man had long since forgotten that small revenge that he had taken against the girl. He only remembered her so quickly due to the impression that she had left on him at the time.

Ikazuchi speed [Base: 122 + 40 from Haste Ring = 162] has been debuffed by 80 points. Ikazuchi's current speed is 82.

Tempris slid backwards watching the smoke engulf the man. It seemed like the move connected with was great. Honestly, she expected the guy to do something wacky or silly that would cancel her move. Also, she kind of expected the man to hit her back so the fact that she made it out of that unscathed was completely bonkers. The man lunged backwards out of the smoke clearly annoyed. She did not blame him. At this moment she was not allowed to save his soul. He was going to be force Suffer longer in the world and she could do nothing about it... that was unless he did something cruel enough that Tempris could bend into an excuse. Only then could she give the man an early ticket to salvation.

"What do you mean heretic. Don't you remember what you did to me! Punching me in the face and throwing my most prize possession in a tree." The girl protested angrily and then charged forward with both hands on her sword. One hand was on the handle with the other hand holding the base. The edge of her blade without her hand was facing the man. She was not going to wait to attack this time around.

Ikazuchi felt exasperated after hearing the girl’s response. The training had been her idea to begin with, so he couldn’t accept that his attack was a valid reason for a sneak attack. It was only when she mentioned him placing something in a tree that he recalled what he did. ‘That’s all?’ He distinctly remembered placing the sword that she wielded high up in a tree, but it was in order to get back at her for being sneaky. From his perspective, at that moment it seemed that he hadn’t treated her as a psychopath unfairly.

‘Oh well…’ Ikazuchi didn’t bother trying to reason with the girl at this point. He was able to remember that day in greater detail, so he knew that she wasn’t a normal girl. The only point that he failed to remember was the bit of jealousy that he had towards the weapon she had possessed. Now that he had weapons that he didn’t consider inferior, he didn’t experience or remember that feeling.

The girl clearly didn’t intend to reason with him since she had charged at him after speaking, so Ikazuchi could only respond with his sword and not his words. He stabbed straight at the girl with Spellcutter in his right hand. The sword was similar in size to the girl’s own, so he would have the advantage in reach if they clashed. It wasn’t a flashy move, but it was direct and kept Damocles in reserve to respond to any changes. It was less aggressive than how he usually was, but this reflected how difficult it was to gauge the girl’s growth.

The girl rushed forward and the man did not seem to make a effort to move away or towards her. Just like before, he was going to be passive. So This time, she would play a lot smarter. She would do something nobody would expect. It would be the move of the century. She was going to thrust her blade's edge into the man's chest. However, as she got closer, the man shifted his position and then stabbed his sword forward. It was an impressive maneuver. Well really it wasn't. The girl knew that this attack was a bait. Even if she dodged it and counter attacked, the man would just try and hit her with his other sword while she was holding off the first and attacking.

It looked as if it would be a blow for blow trade but there was not many options. Still she did not give up and decided to pay along. The girl attempted to duck under the attack while moving to the man's right side. She held her sword between herself and the sword in his right hand. The only question now was, what would the man do next with, assuming she successfully avoided that first attack.

‘She’s gotten better.’ Ikazuchi couldn’t help but praise the girl as she avoided his thrust. She hadn’t performed terribly in the past, but the awkwardness of her sword was apparent at the time. She seemed to have adjusted to the weapon during the months since they last met, and it was clear that her raw power had increased earlier. Ikazuchi couldn’t help but wonder if it was her battle with him, or someone else that influenced the girl to progress in such a rapid manner. In a way, he felt jealous of the girl for getting the chance at such a young age.

In response to the girl ducking to the outside of his attack, Ikazuchi didn’t perform any flashy movements. He simply lunged back a couple of meters and swept his outstretched sword outward towards the girl’s sword while pivoting on his right foot to bring Damocles sweeping around to his left aimed directly Spellcutter. He didn’t hesitate to exert the power of his relic in order to make some space between the two of them. If he were to successfully, he wouldn’t hesitate to lunge in pursuit and attack by swinging his swords from his left side in a similar manner to his previous attack.
