Hassan was no stranger to working with the martello family. When it comes to the places that are paying the enemy families for protection, or areas that seem to be establishments Vincenze controls, they need to know that we have no intention of backing down until this entire area is controlled by the martello family." Hassan figured that by spray painting the family crest of the martello family on the side of the rival mob's businesses, it would be a way to show them that they were serious about their ambitions and can probably be used as a way to provoke them into making a mistake.

The first place that Hassan started to spraypaint was the grocery store. The reason was due to the fact that a lot of people come and go in order to buy their much-needed goods. In regards to the goods, produce, and everyday appliances, this also served as a warning towards those who used the grocery store, which was an essential part of any community in oak town. If it was to be raided or destroyed by the martello family, not only would the goods be sold off and sent to another store that they owned, but the people would suffer as well. If there was one thing that Hassan understood about the masses, they were less inclined in following a person who was incapable of taking care of them pr protecting them after they went through the trouble of paying for protection.

The second place that Hassan scouted out before tagging was the safe house. This was a little more personal in the reason why Hassan named it as the next place in order to deface. With the safehouse being targeted, Hassan wanted the enemies of the martello family to know that they know everything. If they knew where the safe house was, what's to say that they didn't know any more crucial pieces of information about their friends and family. A lot of people would be in trouble if it was formally known that if you were against the martello family, there was nowhere you could go that would be deemed as safe.

The third and last place was the bank, hitting a crucial infrastructure of any business. There are two things that people take into account, the dirty money, and the clean money that was laundered. Sending a threat in that method would be easy to understand. After Hassan did all this, he returned to get paid.
