CompanionIt was time again. His backpack was filled, and Coda perched upon it with her quite sharp talons as she munched on her breakfast meal; a piece of marrow and neck flesh from a rot. He had heard way too much about Astera lately from the local merchants down in the streets; this marble-white, beautiful town near the northern, sub-tropic waters with lots of life and lively amusements that just had to be experienced by him. It would likely be one of the very, very few towns in Fiore that Daiko had yet to visit, and to think that he barely remembered how many cities he needed to go to at this point, because the country was enormous and huge, wide and a swarm of towns and villages.
He did sort of feel isolated back at Worth Woodsea, albeit calling it his sweet, sweet home for a very long time. Time, however, proved him that the world was a treasure chest at the sand dunes at the shore. It was full of coins and sea snakes.
“Alright, Coda. On my shoulder,” Daiko asked the birdy fellow of his, who leap high up in the air using her wings as a boost as well as brakes to firmly land her talons on his right shoulder. He would put on his backpack and exit the guild hall. The snakes swimming around the dam - quite large serpentine water dragon ‘pups’ if you asked him - would have to bid goodbye to their raiser for a while as he ventured on the streets towards the roads that would lead him out of Orchidia Town. Goodbye, green town of nostalgia and guild values. His next footsteps, and his next adventure along with them, would take place in a town where trees weren’t as widespread as here…
