Introduction

Werewolves are one of the many species on Earthland. However, they have always been even fewer in number than the Vampires. Oftentimes they are feared, usually due to the mystery surrounding them, and the power they possess. Despite some animalistic qualities, they can blend in with humanity with relative ease. Stories of Werewolves haunting lonely forest roads, prowling misty moors on the outskirts of rural societies, or dwelling in the shadows of the largest cities are widespread as well. In most societies, Werewolves are feared and despised—and with good reason, as the typical Werewolf personifies all that is savage and bestial. This isn't to say that good-aligned Werewolves are unknown, but they're certainly a minority among their kind, and most Werewolves are evil murderers who delight in the hunt and the succulent taste of raw meat.

Governance

  • Land: None

  • Location: None

  • Governance: None

  • Head: None

  • Capital: None

  • Region: Werewolves live all across Earthland.

  • Population: 60,000 all across Earthland.

Details

  • Languages: Werewolves don't have a language of their own. They speak the language(s) they spoke before they were turned.

Religion

  • Religion: Werewolves do not have a religion they worship. Some may worship certain deities though, but there is not a main religion. What would come closest to a popular worship amount certain Werewolves would be the worship of Darga, a deity of the hunt, evil Werewolves, bestial savagery and bloodlust. His dogma concerned savage hunts. Dargites believe that it is an honor to Darga to make one's killing bloody and long. While forbidden to slay the young or the pregnant, Dargites typically followed his dogma and evoked wanton slaughter in Darga's name.

Biology

  • Physiology: Werewolves simply appear as humans, because that is what they once used to be. In humanoid form, they appear no different than before. What might give them away a little bit is that they have subtle details revealing their true nature such as pointed teeth or long fingernails.

  • Physique: Werewolves are of human height, standing from 1.55 – 2.00 meters on average, weighing from 50 – 100 kg.

  • Lifespan: Werewolves have a lifespan of about 100 years.

  • Psychology: In contrast to many different beings, Werewolves are relatively the same as humans. However, they have taken a strong sense of pride like a wolf. They are warriors, prideful to the end and always striving to improve their own power. Werewolves can choose when to transform and when to change back.

Werewolves are warlike and have superior physical powers compared to many races. They often become renowned warriors, passionate leaders and dedicated subordinates. They are not stupid. They understand the fear that they draw from many. That being said, they often are known to appreciate those who don't see them as monsters.

This is not to say there are no black sheep. There are some who will hide their identity due to shame, or devious plans. There can be some who have conquered their pride, able to brush that overwhelming driving sense of honor away. That being said, one thing can be said for all Werewolves. If they lose their temper, they can not prevent themselves from transforming, and may even lash out in a rage.

Lore

  • Society: Werewolves are found in all climates, both in the wild and hidden in civilization. The packs are organized similar to wolf packs, with a powerful Alpha in command of the entire group. The moral and ethical outlook of the pack tends to follow that of the Alpha.

  • History: The origin of the Werewolves is unclear. Some say that millennia ago, the god Darga used barbaric human tribes to create the original Werewolves, providing them with qualities of the predatory animals they admired. Others said it was a blessing from goddess Medryia to a group of young human orphans to help them survive in the dangerous wilds. There are a lot more theories about their origin ranging from curses to blood. Either way, these ancient bloodlines were passed down through generations and it continued till this day.
