Lilja yawned while she just closed the door of her hotelroom behind her. She felt still that she had to get used to the luxury, she couldn't remember it obviously but that was also the reason why it felt so strange, she couldn't remember ever having much jewels and if she owned a huge place within a hotel, that must have cost a fortune and she had no idea how she got it. It was no time to think about that, she actually had accepted to do a job with Kurdran and she hoped it would be as fun as his story about the last one. Lilja wondered what the last job was that she had done? Did that trigger her memory loss?

She sighed and ignored it as she walked on to the centre of the town where the quests board would be, she didn't know why she knew, she might have perhaps seen it on her earlier trips in town or perhaps there were some unimportant things that she actually could remember. She didn't want to think about it for too long, she actually planned to give up about thinking about it for too long. She took another deep breath, hopefully there would be something nice to do.

Kurdran Briggs
Kurdran rose up from his "bed", aka a comfy spot in the sun in one of the alleyways, as he shook the simple coating of hair around him off of himself. He tended to consider it his favourite spot in town, since the morning sun always hit it, waking him up from even a deeper case of sleepiness, while simultaneously warming him up just enough for him to feel comfy. However, sleeping on the rocks was always nasty, even with magic offering him the most natural of coats against the cold. He pressed gently against his aching back, as he hobbled up and walked forward, scratching his hair all about, almost combing it into proper shape again, looking at a nearby window for a mirror. As his mane of a mohawk rose into the air once again, so did his silly smile, as he walked towards a direction which at this point was already very familiar. After all, it was work day!

However, what he saw at the quest board surprised him a little. It was a familiar figure, a somewhat fragile looking girl with grey hair and red eyes... As he had a small epiphany. "Lilja!" He shouted, running towards her in the most conspicuous way possible. Honestly, he had not expected the girl to take his suggestion last night seriously. But now that she was here, He couldn`t be more happy about it. "Seen something interesting yet? Something brutally rough? Something that would require the brawn and brains of two warriors?!" Yeah, his excitement was pretty obvious.

Her red eyes scanned the papers, there was something about finding items but that paper looked far too old to be considered an active quest. Most of the others were something about working in a store and the like, nothing interesting. She turned around as she heard someone say her name out loud and with that; far too loud. She wouldn't want to admit but she had drank way too much yesterday and now she had a headache, thank god not that bad but if someone called out your name. The red eyed girl gave a weak smile towards the man she met yesterday, "For a second I might have imagined you offered to take me on a job." She said but she shook her head on the part of his question, "Nothing, it even seems that they want another person to check the beacons again, so they expect something." No there wasn't much but there was a note about going into the Phantasm Castle to help serve the lord Servas and even though she would refuse to do something as serving a lord because they were all shit anyway, getting into the castle would be a nice thing to do.

She wondered only how Kurdran thought about it, so she decided to say it in a different approach, "The only genuine quest on the board, is this one." and she tabbed with her knuckle against it.

Kurdran Briggs
Lilja was clearly a little bit less excited about Kurdran running excitedly towards her. However his demeanor stayed up for the moment, as he noticed somebody else was gonna be sent to look at the beacon. "Bah, thankless bastards... More surprised they didn`t want to just get another guard to stand there..." He would have thought someone atleast would have asked them to hunt for the person from before, but guess they didn`t care about one random guy dying...

However, Lilja proceeded to knock on one of the other tasks on the wall, as Kurdran scratched his head and went close to read it to himself... And his eyebrows and expression immediately lowered almost to the ground level. "...Flower picking?" He glared at Lilja like she had somehow betrayed him for a moment. This was pretty much furthest away from proper adventure as anything could be.

However, It was from the lord of the castle himself so that was something... maybe it meant that he would spread the word about them being good kids? ...Admittedly the money he was offering was a bit more interesting than that idea... "Well, if that`s what the lord wants, we will do it, right? I hope the place with the flowers has something atleast. The good kind tend to attract some animals, you know?" Perhaps angry uninformed guard dogs? Adolescent dragon that the king was hiding in secrecy? Kurdran could hope...

She nodded, the thing was that Oak always seemed to be a little thankless, she remembered.. no wait.. she.. She stopped in her motion and remembered vaguely that she had done a job and that the silhoutte guy.. she was now sure it was a guy thanks to this memory, had told her later that he had done the same job, as they had gone towards the.. man.. he looked like an old man, a doctor perhaps? Here in Oak? She would have to find him. But that wasn't off importance right now. She had ticked against the quest that was on the board and as Kurdran slowly mentioned the flower picking, she nodded, "This town seems more boring than I thought." She wondered as well as Kurdran if she could get her hands on something rare.

Lilja nodded again, "It would probably be nice to help the man. But let's hope it indeed has some kind of adventure." and finally a normal smile appeared on her lips. So she made her way to the hill where the Phantasm Castle was standing on and she tried to remember if she had been before, but nothing. Once on top of the hill, at the entrance of the castle, the lord himself was standing there and Lil didn't know how to handle her body.. did she need to bow or anything? She refused to bow for anyone actually. He was so glad to see people there that would help him, melodramatic guy.. Lilja thought as the Lord explained that they indeed needed to fetch some flowers from the dungeon, pointing out the entrance from over where they stood. Not even going into the castle? Who were they kidding!

Kurdran Briggs
Kurdran shrugged in agreement. Hilariously enough, he had had the most fun running about with kids of the town instead of actually doing something violent. Well, aside from hunting for animals out of town. However, for now, the important part was for them to get to the castle, and get payed... no matter how boring it was going to be. He sighed a bit, as he crossed his hands behind his head.

As they made it over to the hill where the castle stood, there was a man of some kind. The girl seemed to recognize him, as she seemed to be acting a bit weird... Wait... Kurdran thought for a moment, as he realized who it was actually standing in front of him. "Oh, heya lord! Didn`t expect a royal escort, if you get me, hehe!" He laughed, almost like the lord was an old friend... The lords reaction to this was not exactly discernible, but atleast he was still able to give an explanation. "...So no castle visits then?" Man, and that would have propably been the best part too. No, they were just supposed to get into the catacombs, and come back with the flower. Simple as that.

"No worries though. I uhm... We will be back here with the flower faster than you can say "Fall ovEEEE...!" The problem of talking and walking at the same time, tends to be  that you don`t watch where you are going. And with that in mind, Kurdran tripped on the stairs and started rolling down them like a barrel into the darkness.

Guess there was atleast some fun to be had.

While they talked, Lilja simply rolled her eyes and walked behind Lord Servas and Kurdran, she wasn't entirely sure how long the two knew each other and she actually didn't have to know, she only watched and followed. The Lord let the door to the catacombs be opened by a servant, who seemed to follow him everywhere and Kurdran was the first to walk down, or more like roll down. "Don't worry sir, we will back before you know it." She said as politely as she could, because finding a flower in the dark was a bullshit job but at least it paid her. So she took a deep breath and entered the building that immediately seemed to be a big stairs leading down into these dungeons where the flower was.

If this were his late wife's favourite flowers, there must be something for her to do here. Which made her a little more hyped, the red eyed girl would only hate to admit that the further she got down, the less lights and laterns there were and thus it was difficult to see, "Kurdran, are you alright?" She decided to call out as she didn't see her colleague anywhere at this point when she got down, which took about more than ten minutes.

Occasional shouts of "ouch" and "oof" followed, as the tumbling mans roll through the steps echoed in the stairway. At the end of the road, he rolled forward a bit more, eventually hitting some kind of wall, and laying there in the pitch black darkness like a fool. He could hear Liljas shout of worry from the only lighter spot. "Yes! I am!" He had to keep his composure, despite the embarrassment. It would not be cool to be hurt! "You`d need rocks at the bottom break my bones! Yes, that`s it!" Thank god he was naturally bit bulkier. Othervise there would have been nothing cushioning his crash...

As he stood up, he tapped himself down from the dust. "Okay, now where is the dang flower..." These grumbles were propably loud enough to make sure Lilja knew his position. As he flung his hands about trying to follow the wall, he felt absolutely ridiculous. "Sigh, Gotta be a more fun way to do this..." Now, what could you do to flowers that didn`t smash them to pieces? Well... Kurdran groaned.

*sniff sniff* Loud sniffing sounds... Looks like he had resorted simply to following his nose... what he smelled though, was mostly dust, but with a hint of something gentler. "its maybe here somewhere? I think..." He started to brush the ground for anything flower like...

Her hand following the wall as she lost her eye sight thanks to the dark rather easily. She had the feeling, slowly rememberance that before she could see clearly in the dark but she didn't know why, which was very obvious with amnesia. She reached the bottom of the stairs, having not respond to Kurdran his reactions as she tried to see bits around and even though her eyes got a bit used to the dark, there was only a darker figure, which had to be Kurdran, and nothing more but darkness. Which gave her an eerie feeling, she kept her hand on the wall as also not to get lost and followed the noise that was an indication for the man in front of her.

Basically what Lilja did was keep her mouth shut and let the man do the work, trying to grab the nothing and holding on to nothing made it very difficult to find the flower and she didn't want to throw her hands into something gross around here what she could expect. She noticed he seemed to be trying to smell the flower and after what felt like ages, she noticed a small breeze with a gentle flavour in there and she found the flower or well.. Kurdran was first obviously, "If we got it, let's head back." Which was her moment to shine as she had held her hand on the wall every time, she could easily bring them back to the point of the stairs, where she would go first because imagine Kurdran would fall again and would take her with him.

Once done and back into the light, she had to blink rapidly, the man stood there still apparently grieving while no one was watching or so he thought. "Sir, we found the flower." But dang it that she still couldn't get inside, she had done that on.. what? She stared at the castle, vaguely remembereing a package delivery.. her red hair.. this was very confusing to her. The man cried while they handed him the flower and paid them both before heading back inside for the service of his late wife. With one last look on the castle, Lilja decided to head back to town, perhaps she could do a couple of more jobs, together with Kurdran at least made it a bit more fun.
