Black ink was injected into his eye whites - a form of scleral tattoo. His idea of fashion tends to be minimalism as he prefers to wear a long-sleeved tee paired with some slacks or joggers. They can differentiate in colour but more often than not do they tend to be black, white, or grey. His sleeves, whilst wearing long-sleeved tees, are usually rolled up to his elbow area. This action shows off his muscular arms that hide behind cloth. To protect his feet, he usually walks about with standard dress shoes. This just happens to be his choice of outerwear for casual instances. When he's on the job or anything else of the sort, he's seen in a black dress suit and pants. The shoes from the previous set remain - they fit in with the theme after all. With years of experience, Nyx has grown to be quite comfortable in the tight clothing. Extra: A Greek phrase is tattooed across Nyx's neck, translating to "I can neither live nor die without you." The abundance of piercings also make their way across his face in various spots. ➣ Personality Personality: Nyx is a man of many faces. The best word to describe his persona is eccentric. His choice of actions usually deter from what the rest of society views as irregular. Though thanks to his awkwardness, he's often called cute by females from afar. Nyx has a very calm demeanor, but tends to be overly theatrical or dramatic during his interactions with others. He is very adamant about presence, clearly preferring to be the center of attention, and shows a willingness to scold anyone who interrupts him. He doesn't seem to scare easily, even in the face of stronger opponents, and will typically remain stoic while confronted with aggression. He does however have a low tolerance for insults, and will usually engage in a verbal counter-attack or in some cases resort to violence in order to save face. The next thing to know about Nyx is that he's hard to shove into traditional categories of good and evil. His alignment is most accurately true neutral, but it's safe to say he has a (weird) code of personal honor. In truth, all Nyx cares about is fighting strong opponents and seeing other people reach their potential, and then killing them at their height. While Nyx is absolutely a murderer, destruction for its own sake is incredibly uninteresting to him. In fact, worse than uninteresting, it's a waste. If he caused mass causalities, he might kill a prodigy, someone who could give him a real challenge. It's a true shame when you have to pick "fruit" before it ripens. That said, Nyx is not quite in the business of saving random civilians. He has an uncanny ability to read 'aura' signatures in depth. When he gets a sense of someone's aura or even just their fighting style, he can fairly reliably tell their potential. People with no combat potential are essentially useless to Nyx. They might have minor uses, but if they get in his way, they are fit only to be thrown away or murdered. That said, Nyx takes no pleasure killing people with no potential and he won't unless his hand is forced. Now people with potential? That's a different story. Nyx gets some real pleasure out of fighting. Pleasure on a sometimes even sexual level. It doesn't matter if he wins or loses, he enjoys the process. Fighting Nyx can be super creepy, as the man will express joy, even if you seem to be beating him down. Nyx enjoys murdering or at least truly and fully beating skilled fighters at their potential. He also deeply enjoys even fights, and will whenever possible, adjust his power level to be close to his opponents, unless he's showing off his own true potential or he's showing off how much more powerful he is. As mentioned before, Nyx does have a (strange) moral code, if it can be called that. He doesn't take rudeness well in the slightest, and he looks down on cheating. He doesn't mind trickery in combat, but he looks down on winning by threatening loved ones for instance. What's cheating and what is rude might vary, but if you cross that arbitrary line, Nyx will do his level best to kill you, even if you aren't ripened. With this, Nyx looks down on those who choose not to live up to their potential, or who refuse to train and simply rely on their genetics. ➣ Magic Magic Name: - Magic Element: - Magic Description: - ➣ History History: Nyx's history begins in an unknown country that's so minuscule that it provides no relevance to where it actually is. Just a starting point. Nyx never had any desire to rule the slums, to become a gang leader, and so very early on he developed a very easy-to-underestimate style. He quickly realized he absolutely loved fighting, pitting himself against the far more experienced enforcers of the various gangs. Nyx never declared his allegiance, preferring to stay neutral for the single reason of doing so allowed him to fight and kill anyone he so desired. He quickly became something of an mercenary, helping every gang out as they wanted but carefully choosing his jobs. During this time, there was exactly one positive influence in Nyx's life. An old man, who owned a magic tricks shop. From this man, he learned his appreciation of life and the happy-go-lucky view of it. Good things never last, however. Eventually, the man ran afoul of one of the gangs and was murdered. At age 15, Nyx was a famous figure in the criminal underworld; his name spoken in whispers as a brutal and enigmatic killer. Someone who would and could do any job, but only if he deemed it interesting enough. But even as his reputation improved, the teen found himself bored. He was easily the strongest in the region. There was no one left who even hold a candle to him. No one left to test, no one strong enough to be worth toying with, much less fighting. Finally, at age 22, Nyx was found out as Nyx, the criminal. He was challenged by the top members of the gangs in his region, and for once Nyx was up against foes he couldn't beat. It was only last minute deployment of a technique he had only recently learned that he survived with his life. Run. The next 2 years were spent by Nyx in training. He traveled around the world, seeking out and challenging or even allying with powerful fighters, and then backstabbing them like the douchebag he was, each time making sure to test out his skills. Throughout the entirety of his journey, the man had never set foot in Fiore before. Finally, Nyx was pulled into the continuum. He was in Fiore. Reference: - |
