Kon

The mood was bleak at the Rune Knight headquarters, the blond haired mages felt bleaker even more so he had failed both the organisation and the team for which he had joined. Feeling the responsibility to inform his commanding officer of what had happened during the mission whilst also seeking to leave the team which had been established without him truly wishing to be a part of. He had little to no interaction with a majority of the members of the team even his own family members. It was for these reasons he was now heading towards the Rune Knight Headquarters riding his trusty Zebstrika meaning the trip was brief, to say the least. He had donned his armour just prior to leaving the inn whilst not looking to start a fight he did somehow feel remarkably comfortable inside it. Leaving the company of his companion for now instead of having it stationed at a nearby stable Kon made his way into the main entrance of the headquarters itself. As he had no intention of staying within the team and didn't seek to be persuaded in saying for too long Kon would make the interaction with him and his superior as brief as possible. Because of this, he entered the section of the building in which the rune knights had given a room for hikaru. In fact, it seemed as though he had his own secretary evident when he tried to enter his room.

Ignoring the frog-faced rune knight Kon entered the room without hesitation only to find it empty. Annoyed by his absence he gave himself a brief moment as the rune knight informed him that he was out at the moment for reasons he wasn't at liberty to say. Wanting to speak to him regardless he informed him that he requested an audience with him telling him he'd be outside of the building, before leaving the room and the building entirely and waiting at a nearby fountain.

Hikaru Nakamura
Hikaru was walking back towards his office after searching for a case file. He had spent the last hour looking through files to find anything that would make the lead go hot on a case that had been cold. As Hikaru walked back he saw the secretary approached him. Hikaru couldn't help but Sei as the man came up to him eagerly to speak to him. "Sir." He said to Hikaru. Hikaru nodded as he opened the door and began to walk in. "What is it?" Hikaru said as he put the case file down and took off the jacket he was wearing. He was a bit more formal since today was a relaxed day. He wore Black slacks, with a white shirt and a tie. It was a business look for him.

"Outside... You have a blonde fellow waiting for you."

Hikaru raised an eyebrow and began to walk towards the exit. As he left the building he saw Kon by a fountain. Hikaru kept his hands in his pocket and began to walk towards his fellow mage. "Is everything okay?" Hikaru said as he approached him, curious as to what he wanted or what was going on. He hadn't spoken to anyone on the team recently, besides Selena of course. The lack of communication was partially his fault, but communication did often work both ways. Nonetheless this man was a part of his team and Hikaru was here for him through thick or thin.

Kon

With the headquarters so far up in comparison to the rest of the town it was more vulnerable to Tremblant weather, as a result, the wind currents were causing Kon's clothes to flow far more violently as he waited for Hikaru. Other Rune Knights in the courtyard had similar issues but managed to make to by rushing to more protected areas. Instead of leaving the location to which he said he would be, he chose to sit down on a nearby bench which reduced the amount of the cape could move around. By this time a smartly dressed Hikaru whom he briefly didn't recognise made his way towards him questioning Kon. Wanting to speak man to man with him, he replied. "Before we continue to this, please take a seat." If Hika refrained he would shrug and rise to meet his superior level, and comment. "Alright then standing it is." Regardless of the decision, Kon would explain his reasoning for wishing to seek his audience. "During the Era town terrorist attacks, it's come to my opinion that I can no longer be a member of the watchdogs' team, this is not the only reason as I have rarely interacted with other members perhaps with some blame falling onto my own shoulder but for these reasons I will be leaving the watchdogs." As he said so gazed into the pink haired lieutenant's eyes trying to gauge what he thought about it as well as for him to recognise the seriousness of Kon's tone on the matter.

Hikaru Nakamura
Hikaru approached Kon who was sitting down. Kon was asking him to sit down. Hikaru looked at him for a brief moment and sat down curious as to what big news it was. Usually, when someone asked someone to sit down there was big news behind it. Kon finally revealed his true intentions; that was to leave the team. He talked about his lack of interaction, and just by looking at Kon in the eye Hikaru could already tell he made up his mind.

"That is fine, I respect your decision. As a team leader, i've failed to keep our interactions how they should be. However, with that being said I will admit you've grown a lot from the time I first met you."

Hikaru said confessing how he felt to the man. Hikaru stuck out his right hand to shake with Kon hoping there was no hard feelings. He looked at the man in the eye and finally spoke.

"Good luck on your future endeavors. I guarantee i'll see you around. I would stick around, but paperwork calls"

Hikaru said as he stood up he looked up at the sky and sighed. Team members always came and go, but even though he didn't know Kon that well he still considered him a friend. Hikaru would have loved to stay and talk to him, but things did come up. The Rune Knight still had a lot of work to do. Hikaru walked towards the building, he couldn't lie it was bittersweet. Bitter that he had lost some great talent, but sweet in the sense that Hikaru could see Kon becoming the leader of his own team.

Kon

Fortunately, Hikaru was able to see where he was coming from and what he desired even recognising his growth. The praise as it happened to come as a slight shock after all the two had only the briefest of encounters just the once, "was the pink haired rune knight keeping tabs on him?" He thought to himself. "Oh god does he know?" This didn't seem to be the case with Hikaru extending his hand to shake his own, something someone who knew what he had done certainly wouldn't do. Taking up the hand and shaking it with equal vigour and grip he looked back at his superior as he continued. Understanding that there was little more to be said between the two, he rose, looked into the sky and returned back to the rune knight building.

Meanwhile, Kon went his own way going back to his Zebstrika who had been waiting patiently for him in the stables casually eating some hay patting him on his side gently as he moved over to him and untied the reins before leading him onto the grounds. Once on the clearing, he hopped onto his steed, left the Rune Knight grounds and rode back to his inn.
