Waking up from a deep sleep, Bianca rubbed her eyes and lazily dragged herself off her bed, dropping to the carpeted floor at first try, and then getting up again. She entered the bathroom, sluggishly brushing her teeth and rinsing her mouth before taking off her nightgown and stepping into the shower. Once she was done getting ready for the day, she clothed herself in a nice cool outfit and sat at the foot of her bed, drying her hair with a towel. That was when she noticed the letter on the floor near the door. She had received a letter, from who? She immediately stood up and reached to pick the letter up. It was from someone called Rebecca Parker. She did not know a Rebecca Parker. Maybe it was not meant for her. Bianca checked the name and address on the envelope and noticed that it said ‘Bianca’ and had the address of the inn she was staying in. How in the world did this person she did not even know have her address and name? A series chill ran down her spine. She ripped open the envelope and began to read the letter. Apparently it was a request from the theater place again. Rebecca was Alice’s protege, and she needed help with something. Bianca read on, taking in the details of this new job. It was about someone spreading rumors about Alice, Bianca’s previous client. Easy. She had done something similar like this in Oak Town where her client was Sirius Phantasm, the nobles in Oak.

Bianca folded the letter and put it back in the envelope. She would then lock up her inn room and leave for the Marigold Theater again. This was already her third job there. It seemed she was fated to work in the theater. But that was not what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Marigold was not a huge town so she could walk from her inn to the theater and not break a sweat. But given the temperature today, she did break a sweat but as soon as the air conditioning in the theater hit her, she was alright.

She arrived an hour early, so she just sat in one of the chairs at the corner waiting for people to arrive. If it was not for the music playing in the background that she attentively listened to, she would have fallen asleep. She wondered what the play was going to be about this evening. She would not be paying attention, however, since she would be paying attention to something else. It seemed that they were testing the background songs or something since they were randomly playing from the middle of songs and it was actually starting to get unpleasant to listen to, so she averted her attention to something else. She started counting the folds in the curtains, and then the number of seats on the front row, and then the number of seats in the whole theater.

The hour was over fast and Bianca noticed people entering the theater. Most people did not notice her, but those who did gave her a weird look since she had a flower over her eye. She just stared forward, ignoring their looks as everyone got settled in their seats, eventually learning to ignore Bianca since she just sat there like a statue. No one had come to her to ask her for the theater tickets or money to watch the show, so she assumed either Rebecca or Alice saw her and knew she was here for the job she was sent a letter about. Sitting with her arms folded, Bianca waited for the doors to close and the show to actually begin. It was getting pretty boring but a while later, she noticed Alice coming out from behind the curtains to make her little announcement that she made before every show. Bianca sat up straight, her ears on full alert to pick up anything she heard that sounded like rumors about Alice. Sure enough, people started to say things like, ‘I heard Alice is spending the theater’s earnings on gambling,’ and such. Bianca listened harder, but she only heard the many rumors that were being spread, and not the source of the rumors.

A while later an actress with very dark hair who had a sweet face showed up on stage, playing her part almost perfectly. That was the exact moment people started to murmur again, saying that she was the one who told who about Alice, giving Bianca her answer. Apparently her name was ‘Jessica’. Once the girl was finished with her part, Bianca left her seat and went along the side of the theater to backstage. She knew how to get in since she had done it before so she did not have any trouble with that. She then proceeded to looking into dressing rooms. Most of them were empty, but in one of them was the brunette girl she saw on stage earlier. Bianca slipped in while she was putting some makeup stuff into a sparkly bag and shut the door behind her. That was the sound that caught ‘Jessica’s’ attention. She immediately got up, asking, “Who are you and how did you get in here?” with a raised voice as if calling for help.

Bianca’s stare was lethal as she spoke the words, “Relax, ‘Jessica’. I am here to tell you to put a stop to your little rumors about Alice.” The brunette scoffed, even laughed, but noticed the seriousness in Bianca’s facial expression.

“Or else what? You’ll do what? I don’t like that bitch and I’ll say whatever I want about her,” said Jessica. Bianca did not have much patience for these sort of things, giving her a ‘you’re stupid’ look before stepping forward, grabbing her throat and squeezing it, which gave Jessica a hard time breathing. Then, she gave it a good yank, dislocating it and making breathing impossible for the brunette who dropped to the floor with a soft thud since Bianca placed a foot where she would fall so it didn’t make much noise. She then left the dressing room and looked for Rebecca, telling her everything and receiving her reward for her job done. Rebecca thanked her and told her that she would take care of the body disposal.
