In the morning, it was a nice and sunny day. A perfect day to spend all over Crocus. She was planning on having a nice and pleasant day to herself. First, she went to the same market Rowan showed her recently and bought some peppermint sticks. She went to a few other locations, enjoying her alone time. She was going to go to the gardens next. Only, she didn't expect for it to rain. She was so absorbed in sight seeing, she didn't even notice it when the gray clouds rolled in. Through a drizzle, she tried to find shelter for when more rain came pouring down.

Unfortunately, most people decided to cram themselves into all the nearby cafés and restaurants, leaving Assama with only a limited number of places to go. She eventually found a place occupied by a dark haired girl. There was still enough space for her though. "Mind if I squeeze in?"

Rain. It wasn't that annoying or well hateful but at the moment, she wasn't dressed for the rain. Instead of having her dressed as a traveller, she was now wearing a red top, with zipper that almost didn't fit.. She definitely needed to do some shopping soon, but it started to rain and her shoulders were soaked, her hair was already dripping, because it had immediately started to rain pretty badly.

Even though Nasty liked company more than anything, she didn't like the idea of being stuck in a cafe with everyone standing close next to each other staring out of the windows, hoping the rain would stop. She stood underneath a small roof that was a little bit longer than the building itself. Her feet were just protected from the splashing but really comfortable was different. However a girl came running towards her, asking if Nasty minded that she squeezed in. Well that was a difficult question: how did she feel today? She could do the overly sad person that wanted to go shopping and was now stuck here or the nasty one that didn't want to share because the space would be too cramped. However the girl was already there, and looked almost soaked to the bone too.

"Sure, might make it more fun." She said in the end, not entirely done with the role she wanted to play but she smiled. Being a bit late with her preparation, she was cursing in her head about the idea that she was wearing her eyepatch. Well it would do for today.

The girl allowed Assama to stand next to her. "Thanks," she said as she got in next to her. As Assama expected, it was quite cramped. So, to make the situation even somewhat better, Assama decided to offer the girl some candy. "Want a peppermint stick?" she said, handing one out for her to take. Whether or not she took it didn't matter. She would still try to lighten the mood by striking up a conversation. "When do you think the rain will let up?" She hoped that this girl would do more than just shrug and be antisocial, because as she said before, "might make it more fun."

When the pink girl thanked her, Nastasya just smiled to show her sweet side of the day. It was getting bored to be the traveler for the time being. Not that she would be familiar with the city. She would, hmm what would she? She would be a cousin from someone that lived her and staying with her aunt, uncle and niece for the time being. Yes that was it. No need to fake an accent or whatever.

The girl offered her some candy and she had to eye what she thought would be the best approach. Being childish, as she loved doing was not an option today, she was older than this one. Not that she had any idea how old the girl would be or how old she would think Nasty was. "You're an angel. Thanks." She said after accepting the peppermint stick. She didn't even like peppermint but it kept her mind off doing reckless things at the moment.
She looked the girl a bit up and down and acted a bit busted when she asked a question about the rain. "Oh, I don't know," She looked a little bit up to the sky, away from the roof they were standing under. "I think I see something blue. Besides most of the time when it pours, it goes on for a short while and it would stop eventually not much later. We just have to be patient a little bit." When she finished talking, she tried to give the most loveliest smile that she had in her arsenal.

"You're welcome," Assama simply said, a small smile on her face, just trying to keep the mood up. When Assama asked the girl about the rain, she said that she didn't know, but she could see a patch of blue sky. In addition, sudden downpours like this weren't supposed to last very long. Assama nodded in agreement as she sucked on her own peppermint candy. Taking it out to speak she asked, "What're you planning on doing after it stops raining?" Perhaps she was being a bit too casual or a bit too informal, but it was the first thing that had came to her mind. Besides, some conversation was better than awkward silence.

She had decided that she was the overly sad person that wanted to go shopping, so she had that to work. She answered the question about the rain and she hoped indeed it would stop sooner. She tried to keep her eye on the blue patch in the air, hoping it would grow faster. "I planned to go shopping. I desprately need new clothing. How about you?" trying to be sweet.

Assama casually nodded her head as the girl said that she was planning on going shopping and that she really needed some new clothes. She asked the same for Assama. "Oh, I was just enjoying walking around Crocus. It was a nice morning so I thought that it would be nice the rest of the day, but nope." Assama let out a small sigh and continued sucking on her mint. Assama looked at the girl again and a quizzical look appeared on her face. "You know, you don't strike me for a clothes shopper," Assama said, her attention drawn towards the girl's eye patch. Of course it could be for other reasons, but in a world full of mages, Assama immediately was given the impression that this girl was on the tougher side, but what she said so far totally contradicted her thoughts. It was intriguing, but it would be incredibly rude of her to question the eye patch directly, so all she could do was wonder for now.

Nastasya kept her eyes first on the blue patch which was slowly, but steady turning a little bit bigger. As it was still downpouring. She turned back to Assama when she finished her sentence. "I bet it will be beautiful after this, the world sometimes need a little bit of rain to show the extra beauty that it can create." She was never so poetic but you needed something when you turned bored again.

She listened to the assumption and she grinned a little. "You know I hate shopping for clothing. But my fiance has an important talk in this town and apparently I have to join. We came here yesterday and he said I didn't have to join so I didn't bring nice business clothing." She sighed as if it was real trouble. "I just always buy when I need something or when I see something that is nice but never do I go on a shopping spree. Do you like shopping? You seem to have an eye for it, it would be nice to have someone help me." She said with that smile. She was almost sure that the girl would say no. Why shop with a stranger but there might be surprises.

Assama's assumption was correct. This woman didn't like shopping. It was actually a necessity to get some clothes because of her fiancé's important speech. She then asked Assama if she liked shopping and said that she seemed to have an eye for it, also hinting that she would like some help picking out clothes. "Thanks," Assama began. She wasn't 100% certain if that woman wanted Assama to help or not, but she figured that she may as well offer. "I'm not one to shop all the time, even if it's just window shopping, but I suppose I do enjoy it. If you want some help, I'd be more than glad to, though it would be kinda weird since we don't even know each other. So... to make it less awkward, what's your name?"

Nastasya gave a short high laugh that she hoped would give some nice vibe. "Oh my bad. You see how much I dislike shopping." She said with a made up giggle. She turned her body towards Assama, instead of still being directed to the right side in case she needed to 'escape'. "The name is Lilja. Lilja Oswald." She moved her hand out of her pocket to shake hands with the pink haired girl in case she wanted. "You have no idea how much I would appreciate if you could help me." She shook her head slowly and smiled, the acting was going rather well. Lilja Oswald was something that just popped up in her mind. Lilja was her mother's name though. She hated that woman too.

Lilja Oswald. That was a unique name, one that Assama had certainly never heard before. "My name's Assama Sinclair," she replied. Normally she would have only given her first name, but since Lilja gave her surname, why not give her own?

Lilja said that she really did appreciate Assama helping her. "Oh, don't mention it. Is there a particular store you were interested at shopping at?" Admittedly, Assama had no idea which stores were good to shop at around here. Hopefully Lilja knew of a few good places for them to look around at and potentially get some nice clothes at. Maybe they would even find a sale.

It was easy to come up with names when you had names for everything. She looked at Assama and smiled sweetly: "It is nice to meet you, even with these circumstances." She pointed out the rain which suddenly started to slow down. It might n ot take much more than 20 to 30 minutes before it would stop.

Nasty thought about it for a minute or so when Assama asked her about which shops. She had an expensive taste. "What about Ralph Lauren, you know it? Or Burberry." She frowned a little. "I think Burberry is better, they have nicer skirts." She wore a lot of skirts when she was younger and childish, she was still childish but being a member of Grimoire Heart. She needed to be prepared and thus wore more jeans.

Assama raised her eyebrows at the mention of the two brands Lilja had suggested. "You have nice... but expensive taste." Assama wouldn't have guessed that Lilja liked that expensive of clothing. Assama personally would never buy something from there, but if Lilja had enough money, she wouldn't stop her.

Assama peered at the rain. "Do you want to wait it out longer or try making it to one of the stores?" Assama would be fine either way, but she didn't want to waste any more time waiting out the rain, and if either of the two stores weren't far away, Assama wouldn't mind rushing through the light rain.

Nastasya gave some sort of short giggle, most girls of her age, totally in love did that right? She wasn't sure she just made it happen. "I know, I'm okay with other shops too but yeah I need quality wear, especially if I have to travel a lot because of Danny his work." First name that popped up and it sounded like an idiot. Danny.. hmm.. Danny, actually kind of cute. Satisfied with the name, she giggled again and looked away from Assama. "Sorry, it is all so silly." She pretended to blush by covering her cheeks and looked back when the girl suggested to run to the store.

"Oh that's a great idea. It's around the right corner here, two or three shops after the corner. Ralph Lauren I mean." She frowned for a second wondering if Burberry was a better option but well she didn't care, she had money and other wise she had ways to get money. She smiled to Assama and counted to three before she started to run through the rain and rounding the corner to enter the Ralph Lauren shop. Completely white with some light blue lights and many rows of clothing.

So Danny (probably actually Daniel, but she supposed that Danny could be his real name) was the name of Lilja's fiancé. She sounded a bit silly or childish when she said that. It kind of broke the whole impression Assama was getting from her, but Assama chalked it up to being clouded by love. On the other hand, Lilja could be being fake, making up some things. Since Assama never wanted to assume the worst in people though, she decided to push that thought off to the side, but would not hesitate to bring it back if there were any more inconsistencies.

When Assama suggested for them to make a run for it Lilja agreed and said that Ralph Lauren was right around the corner. "Perfect," Assama said before they dashed into the rain and all the way to Ralph Lauren. It was a nice shop. Assama had never been to Ralph Lauren herself. She had only seen its outfits window shopping knowing that her wallet couldn't handle the majority of the clothes in that store. "Wow, these are pretty expensive," Assama muttered looking at one of the price tags. "What's your budget?"

It was almost empty in the Ralph Lauren shop which was pretty satisfied for Nasty her liking. There were only two people of the shop there themselves and one person in the back, a man. She didn't know them, didn't want to know them so went immediately to the part where the skirts were. She would definitely buy one, it had been too long. "Oh around a thousand jewels should do. Less is of course fine too. I just need one perfect outfit and maybe if I see something extremely nice I can take it as well." She smiled to Assama, "Again thank you for helping." She looked through the rail with skirts and pulled up a long pencil skirt that would reach till below her knees, it was with black and white stripes but going like a down v-formation. No straight stripes. "What you think of this?"

Lilja's price range seemed reasonable for Ralph Lauren standards. After all, she only needed one outfit, but she said that she may take something else if she thinks it looks really good. "Cool," Assama said as she thumbed through the clothing rack. Perhaps it wasn't the best response to produce, but her mind was preoccupied with trying to pick out clothing for Lilja. As Assama selected a nice collared shirt that seemed to be in the price range, Lilja asked what she thought about a skirt. Assama turned around and looked at the skirt. "Oh, that looks really nice. How about this shirt to go with it?" Assama asked holding up the shirt she picked out.

Nastasya smiled, it was not too bad to shop with someone else, she actually had never done that, yeah when she was a small child with her mother but that didn't count at the moment. She took the skirt to Assama to show, when she seemed to approve, she showed Nasty a shirt that could indeed fit perfectly with it. "I'm going to hit the dressing rooms." She said with a smile, "If this is the perfect outfit, I have to take you with me more often because I never shopped so fast." She said with a tease and headed off where she changed into the black and white skirt and the collared shirt in black. Which indeed fit the skirt. Maybe she needed some jewellery with it. Like a statement necklace or so. She came out of the dressing room after checking herself out, to see for Assama her opinion. "What do you think?" she turned back to a mirror. She had taken her eyepatch off, which showed a perfectly normal eye because she had done make-up but you could see a little bit of red scars that were covered with a tiny bit of make-up.

It seemed that Lilja liked the shirt she had picked out and said that she was going to hit the dressing room. Before she actually went though, she told Assama that she would have to take her shopping with her more often, jokingly, of course. Assama flashed her a smile and waited for her to return from the dressing rooms.

When she came out, Assama's attention wasn't on the outfit, which did look nice, but it was on Lilja's eye. The one that had previously been covered by an eye patch. "You're... not wearing your eye patch?" Assama asked, completely (but accidentally) ignoring Lilja's question.

Nastasya was standing in front of the mirror checking out her skirt. Last time she bought one, she was probably nineteen or twenty. Weird how things turned out, she had always liked dresses but now she was glad it reached below her knee. She looked up when Assama asked about her eyepatch, she looked through the mirror to the girl behind her.

"I don't like to wear it. Especially not on a formal dinner." She tried to sound a little sad. "They did quite a good job to fix my eye, but I find the scars still scary."

With a hint of sadness in her voice, Lilja said that she didn't like to wear her eye patch... especially to a formal dinner. Lilja said that they (doctors, she assumed) did a good job fixing her eye but left some scars that Lilja preferred not to show, but that wasn't of much interest to Assama. It was her previous statement that was a bit inconsistent just as before. "I'm sorry, did you say a formal dinner? I thought you were buying those clothes to go to your fiancé's speech." Perhaps Lilja was going to dinner as well before or after the speech. Who knew? But with the recent cannon incident of the Magic Council, Assama was a bit paranoid. In all likeliness though, Assama's paranoia was just getting the best of her.

Nastasya looked at Assama, it wasn't a mistake she made, even though the girl might think that. It was the whole set up. "Yeah, we have. Haven't you ever been to a meeting with your parents or maybe boyfriend, fiancé whatever you fancy? You have this big dinner and some people that speech. Compare it to a Supper but with a lot of fancy people from the coorperation that he works for. It's going to be super boring, but I'm so proud that Danny is there to give his speech. He has been nervous for weeks. I just have to be there."

She turned during explaining, it was as nice to look a person in the face while she was talking to them instead of looking through the mirror. "Is there something wrong?" She said not entirely sure if she saw it right but it looked like something was the matter, if it was panic or paranoia or something completely different Nastasya didn't know, but there was something bothering Assama.

Assama couldn't say that she had ever been to a large dinner before a special event such as Lilja's fiancé's speech. Her parents didn't exactly have those kinds of jobs, and as much as Assama hated to admit it, she hadn't had a boyfriend before, let alone a fiancé. "I guess I could see that." It made sense, but again, Assama hasn't experienced anything like that before. "But wouldn't you wear something more classy than business-like at a fancy dinner?" Assama suggested.

It seemed like Lilja caught onto Assama's slight paranoia and asked if there was something wrong. "Oh, no. Nothing's wrong. There's just something on my mind, but that doesn't matter much. Let's get back to shopping."

Nastasya turned back to the mirror when Assama said that she could see it happen. She turned back when the girl made another suggestion. "Oh good point, I hoped this was classy enough but maybe a dress is better." she frowned and looked into the store, she had liked the skirt but indeed maybe a dress was more classy. She hadn't had a dress in a long time.

Assama made her a little nervous because Nasty had no idea what it might be about. Okay she was getting paranoia and she didn't like that so she pretend nothing was happening, but a worried look at Assama, "Alright, but you made me curious." was all she said before she walked back to the clothing lines to look for a dress.

Lilja agreed with what Assama said about a dress or something at least with more class being a better fit for a dinner. "You can always get that and a dress... if your budget allows it," Assama said referring to Lilja's comment about hoping that her pencil skirt and shirt were classy enough.

Assama bit the corner of her mouth out of nervousness when Lilja said that she made her curious. "Truth be told, I've actually been a little cautious lately. You know, with the sudden rise in dark mages and all." Assama didn't believe that there was one citizen (especially in the capital) that hasn't heard of the incident, or at least some form of it. She was sure that people in rural areas had even heard rumors about it from passing travelers or wandering merchants.
