Overall: Axel is tall and well built, priding himself on his training that brought his body to it's peak. Each muscle is toned, deep with the scars given from training and the fights Axel got in earlier in his life. His back, shoulders, and chest are covered by dark blue tattoos that glow when he uses his magic. This is said to be the mark of the demon within the man.. Axel holds himself tall and mighty, the muscles in his back developed extremely well. He also has large shoulders, reminiscent of the hard lifestyle he had when he was younger, including his time as a farmer. Axel's hands are also hardened, evident of his lifestyle training as well. He has light blue, short, spiky hair that is very unruly and cannot be kept down. Axel also has red eyes, a deep crimson red, reminiscent of a vampire or a beast. They are constantly in some sort of a smirk, a glint always shining in them. Axel also has tan skin, evident once more of his more outside lifestyle then others. He grew up outside his whole life, and as a result of that, he has darker skin then others.
Axel wears long, black pants with two red stripes at the bottom, with a pair of brown sandals on his feet. His pants are held up by a white grommet belt that's tied at the front. Sometimes, you can also see Axel wearing a long red cape, and when he gets into a guild, with the guild mark on the back. He does not wear a shirt, as he feels it can be very restricting. At most, if at a fancier event, or if needed in a mission, Axel will wear a shirt. Otherwise, all he has is the cape and the pants. It may be flamboyant, but it is his style that he picked up.

For meeting high, well placed individuals, Axel has a black suit he wears, with white cuff links and black pants. Although it is a seemingly darker color, he always wears a white shirt underneath. This is the one other clothing he has- otherwise, he just wears the pants with the sandals. It is much more comforting for him to move around in.

Extra: Axel has dark blue tattoos along both of his arms which extend to his shoulders and his upper back.

Personality

Personality:
There are some people in this world who live in the future, and some who live in the past- Axel is neither. Every day is a new one, and he views it as such. As he was raised in a village far from a city, he has never known things coming easy, and as such, he takes every challenge ahead of him with a sort of eagerness that could only be described as confidence.

However, behind this man lies a cold, calculating individual, a sort of predator that can only come from years of hardships. Even harder than being raised in a poor village, Axel was forced, due to dire circumstances, to develop a hardened inside. It's not to say that he hides himself from people- in fact, he is a very honest individual. However, he does not let anyone close to his heart, both from fear of death, to fear of actual attachment. This has made him slightly disillusioned to others. He may be friendly at face value, but he always has a motive. Yet, he yearns for a deep connection with someone- but years of disillusion have made it hard to actually create one. He fights this dichotomy every day, especially with himself; as to whether or not he should be more trusting.

As mentioned before, Axel is very calculating. Everything he does has a motive, a reason for doing so- there is nothing done by mistake, or done without some sort of thing behind it. This makes his view a bit colder on the outside world- many people are just pieces for him to move around, rather than friends. He is very motivated at getting to his goals, whether it is through lawful or unlawful means. As he grew up outside of the city, Axel does not care for rules and much prefers his freedom. He also sees the law and its enforcers as a byproduct of the true evil, that being the production of "cages".

Axel, as a byproduct of the idiom “Only the Strong Survive”, fears just one thing: losing. Losing means death in his world, as well as being considered weak. Losing is something that is not in Axel's repertoire. He would rather retreat then lose- then be considered down and out. However, this fear is his form of dedication- he wants to be the strongest to be as far from this fear as possible.

However, even with all the melancholy in his life, Axel truly enjoys those relaxing moments, where he can get a cold drink from a bar, or even just a relaxing day with his peers, people he sees as his equals. This may never happen, and is completely against his way of life, but it is truly something he enjoys. Axel loves the relaxation, the get away from the hardships of life. Because he knows that he needs those relaxing moments to truly appreciate the high energy moments. It is at moments like these when the smile is genuine, not that anyone can tell, of course.

Axel is very good at lying. Even if he tends to be honest, he is able to cover his tracks very well, keeping up with his image and word flow. He never misses a beat, and never reneges on his lies. He is able to do this because he learned he must in this world. Otherwise, he would have a chance at losing. Realistically, it’s better to be honest, but sometimes, lying is just as smart, or at least Axel believes so. Generally, even with this fault, Axel is able to be friendly to every person he first meets. Inside, Axel judges them as worthy or not worthy instantly. Yet, he never outwardly makes anybody feel unwelcome. This is because he knows that if he needs to keep them as a teammate, or make them an enemy, it's always better to start off on a high note. First meetings are always very important to Axel.

Overall, Axel is an incredibly interesting person, who believes strength comes before all, is confident, and is not scared of anything before him. Yet, he holds a cold predator on the inside, someone who just wants to live and survive, and be the best out of everyone else around him.

Likes:

Relaxing: Axel tries to work as much as humanly possible. It is within his nature to do so; his motivations are deep, but they are simple. He just wishes to be the strongest. However, he also truly adores a nice relaxation day, where he does nothing and is bothered by no one. This helps him recollect his thoughts and makes him take his work and training more seriously.
Fighting: Even with his personality, he holds within him a demon, someone who enjoys the thrill and adrenaline of battle. It may not be something he "likes", but it is something he desires. The beast within him is constantly hungry for such acts. As much as Axel holds down this inner being, he sometimes has to let loose, which he does in many rare events during battle.

Dislikes:

Death: This one is simple- it is the cause for many of Axel's trouble's in life. His parents are (supposedly) dead, his friends died in front of him- many factors that lead up to a fear of it itself. He fights to live, to try and eradicate the death of people in the world around him
Cowardice: Axel has learned that in this world, there is no point in being afraid. Even with his issues with death, he still confronts them. He never thinks that anyone needs to act brave, but that people should confront the worst part of themselves to learn more about themselves. As such, he believes that those that are afraid of confrontation, and become cowards, are people who are weak.

Motivations:

To rid the world of Chaos: Axel embodies the purpose of the guild with his whole heart. It is something he truly cares about, as he thinks that the chaos causes his fellow people, family, and friends to get hurt or killed.
To become strong: As cliche as this sounds, the main motivation for this is to find the truth behind the deaths of all of his loved ones'. Having their blood soaked into his skin and the ground has left a sour taste in the air for him. Ever since that day, Axel trained extremely hard to become as strong as he can be.

Fears:

Losing of Self: Axel is afraid of losing his sense of self. Although he feels complete as a part of the guild, traveling allowed him to see that independence is almost just as important. As such, the fear that comes from not realizing your own ambitions have caused Axel to keep on moving forward at any costs.
Killing a guild member: Even if he does not like creating connections with people, Axel has a sense of honor that must be fulfilled, and as such, his guild is the most important thing to him. They are his family- being forced to abandon or kill his own fellow guild members is something he fears. Axel cannot stand having to kill someone who he considers his family, let alone the people who he taught and trained.

Magic Description: This magic takes its form as an offensive type magic that manipulates the power of the Eclipse. This offensive type magic allows one to cast powerful dark spells that are able to be used in a freeform sort of way, allowing them to be utilized in any situation. The magic is characterized by the black fire that is used. It looks like fire magic, but is the element of darkness.

History

History:
Axel was born in a tiny village on the outskirts of Oak Town. The village was a subsidiary for all passing merchants and travelers getting to Oak Town. It was comprised of small huts and farming houses, filled with people of various skills and talents towards the various outdoor disciplines. He was born to a farmer family, a family whose crops were used to help feed the village itself.

As he was growing up, he learned and worked on the farm, becoming extraordinarily proficient at working the farm tools.
When he was in his teenage years, a tragedy occurred, scarring him mentally and emotionally and destroying his village. It was something out of a eldritch tale- men coming in, pillaging the village, torturing its villagers, and making the younger ones watch the entire time, scarring them for life. These men all had magic, and the villagers did not. Axel felt so useless during this time, and it spurred him with a new kind of ambition, unlike anything before.

From this tragedy, Axel felt the urge to try and become a mage. He had the proficiency for magic, and now he finally was able to master it. He chose relatively simple magic- Eclipse magic- and set out to join a guild. Through his journey, he finally found the Lamia Scale guild, which he joined. He wanted to become the strongest, and he knew that through this guild, he could become the strongest.
