Kaito

Kaito once again got a mission asking for some help with some wheeling and dealing with a rival settlement and he is gonna have talk through it with the one that wants to get through the deal making and then back the chief up as they try to make the deal with the rival chieftain but Kai is unsure how he is gonna do this but he trusts that if it comes to it he can make the dealing not cause the issues to run deeper and he needs to avoid causing any newer issues to take over the spotlight of them trying to fix it, last time he had been trying to work as a middle man he got attacked and nearly killed and he was gonna avoid being in that spot again if he can help it. He has to make sure the ducks line up in a row so he doesn't end up with one of them shooting themselves in the foot and then blaming him.

He needs to keep his head on his shoulders and focus on the goal so that he can get this off on the right foot and not end up causing blood to be shed in error over something that can just be handled with words and he goes into the meeting with the main client who is an older man who seems like he is on edge about this deal like it matters a lot to him but the other settlement seemed to have some very strong unfavorable feelings toward him and his kin and that needs to be cleared up and changed so that they can get this all on the right track and not have him make a fool of himself when the moment comes and he ends up getting himself killed while he reached out the olive branchy of piece and then ends up bulling back a nub where his arm us to be.

He goes to see the rival settlement which is a pretty decent distance away and he hopes they will not just attack him on sight, but he is feeling that he might be in a little over his head and he knows that he needs to remain calm so they don't smell the fear of failure on him. Once he nears the settlement that is against the trading union between them and he is feeling many peering eyes on him as he walks through the village to try and see their leader. No one bothered him, they just stared at him probably more wondering why he was here or why he was dressed so weirdly and he wasn't really looking any of them in the eye which probably seemed to make him look dishonest and shady. Revy looked at them from his hood and the people looked at her and they were confused why he was carrying a cat around like that and she spoke and they looked freaked out.

He sighed as he seemed to be lost in their village and a child takes his hand and asks where he was going and Kaito told the child and the child laughed then lead him to the biggest home in the village and knocks then the child runs away and Kaito wonders why the child ran away and then he sees why when a giant boar of a man answers the door and looks at Kaito and blinks at the man standing there then makes a uproar of noise and asked if he was there for his head and Kaito shook his head then explained that he was here to help try and make a deal go through and he hoped that the man will be okay with it then the man looked dumbfounded he hadn't expected the other settlement to have the balls to do such a thing to try and reach this deal.

The man laughed very heartily as he was taken aback by it all as he was expecting the other group to just let it die and not keep wasting their time, but here was a messenger and a strong one at that if the way this man looked was to life and true and not some kind of illusion or a side effect of his days of heavy drinking and not leaving his house cause he was tending to other bits of business that have been going on in the north that he and other able bodied members of the north need to go and handle to protect their lands and not let them just fall to darkness this trade seems like something that could also be favorable to him as well. He was still not sure that the other man wouldn't screw him over then he sees something out of the corner of his eye.

A green haired woman with earthen green eyes looks down on him she is a woman about six foot six and she doesn't look pleased to see an outsider in her home with her husband but she still welcomes him and he hands the papers to her as well so she may see the deal as well as she seemed to want to know why he had been darkening her door way with her husband looking like he had just swallowed a full glass of the roughest ale anyone has ever had to swallow in their life, Kaito realized that his wife was not being told of him rejecting offers from a different settlement and letting his people barely scrape by because of him stockpiling most of the villages resources as they were planning to go to war and she sets the paper down and she looks at her husband and she looks like she was about to murder him in the coldest of all blood.

He shuts the door and then she starts laying into him for being a dumb ass and a meat head and that he should have taken this deal when the stockpiling had begun to protect the people in the village as to not kill them and lessen those that got sick from lacking proper foods and waters and such that they would need then Kaito hears the door opening and he looks at her and him and he looked like she had just taken every last piece of his honor and man hood in the few minutes that the door had been shut and she smiles at him and she invited him in and she gave him a snack as they made sure that they were not getting scammed and the deal will be as good as it is looking on the paper and Kaito answers all the questions that are asked of him to the best of his abilities to do so.

The woman nods her head and she knows that this will indeed be a godsent to them right now as there is a major shortage that needs to be fixed and fast before they have no people to protect left and she sends her husband to ready himself and sends Kaito off to have the other set of people from the other side to meet them in the forest so they could speak and to come to a deal and hopefully be able to come to an agreement that doesn't need blood shed between them but protection and the means to feed their people the right way and less fighting over simple scrapes of food while the troops eat like food isn't an issue out side of the village and Kaito nods his head and he hurries to get out of the village and get back to the first settlement so that they can meet and talk it out so that this deal can be done.

The leader looks at Kaito as he makes it back to the settlement and he thinks that they caused Kaito out of their village because of how he was running when he got to the place but Kaito was running cause the other village was in a very bad spot and he knows the more time he wasted the more danger the other place will be in and he was not going to have that on his mind if he could help it and he informs the other man of the dire need the other place was and he requested that he take the first trade there with them and show them he comes in good faith and that he means business so this can be as quickly done and them fed as quickly so the other place doesn't die out and leave their forces with dead families and they agree and load it up and let Kaito ride instead of walk to the meeting place.

The two leaders meet and share a very strong hand shake and the other mans wife is there as well as they talk more terms and they talk for a bit and Kaito hopes the deal is not falling out when he sees the wife slap her husband on the back of his head and he wondered what the big idiot had done now and he sees the settlement leader walk back with a grin and a laugh and explains the man had made a joke about them offering him a young maiden as his had grown old and wrinkly and Kaito starts to laugh as well as that man liked to tease his wife it seemed but he could tell they were made for each other but the deal had been sealed and Kaito is paid for the request and he goes with the shipment to make sure it gets there and stays to help them hand it out to the people of the village.
