Jikan was outside, once again exploring the open world that was the roads, city streets, plains, fields, and mountains that made up the country of Joya. The calm whispers of nature weaved through the gauges in the air, creating a swishing sound that was soft and gentle, almost if it was a low whisper.  The day had been beautiful and the sky was like a dome of plasma-blue. The clouds had looked like airy anvils drifting under the gleaming disc of sun. To the sides blending in and out of the businesses that hanged about the streets, were pieces of trees that bloomed. A fresh color out of the spring trees. The moon seemed to turn the leaves into a soft glowing soaked patch of pink flames. A patchwork of smaller colors: dirty brown, grass green, combining as a smaller piece of it.

A huffing wind rose up, stirring the ends of Jikan's Calaity cloak. Her items dawned on her, safe for her helmet that was currently in Mia's back. A tinkling sound came to the ear as the first pearls of rain dropped onto the leaves, the ground, the body. The sound was like the glassy clinking of a champagne flute, lilting and clear. A sheet of rain passed over her and the sound intensified. The noise grew and grew...becoming something more.

Toma had been with Jikan for the majority of the day although not much had gone on. We wore his green beakcloak and left his headgear in his pocket as it was only useful at night and espionage. His earrings fitted along with his black pants and now black yellow trimmed hoodie. Not much had been said between the two as he really was just hanging out considering they had both been in Joya. Really it's because he wanted to ask for another spar between the two but was waiting for the right time.

After all, the stronger he got the more retaliation he would receive. As soon as the gust came and the rain started an ominous feeling had sunk in the air. A certain noise-making itself known and growing closer it was somewhat alarming. "Shall we investigate?" Toma would simply call out to her as he started to stretch out his arms.

Toma's company thought the day was a peaceful endeavor. The two doing...well...random things through the day. It was pretty much the same as how it went sometimes for her when she was out with one or a few random members in Sleeping Calamity back in Fiore. Sometimes the faces were continuous or the names, other days or times she found herself having a random sort around her.

"Hmmmm", was the response given from Jikan to Toma. The sound had drawn in her attention and made her wonder. From her experience, it was something she had never heard before. It, made her curious. It was not a monster of the night if it was a creature, at least not one she had dealt with before. "Yes, I am curious to what it-".

She was cut off.

A Calamity out of no where came and revealed itself. Destorying the tranquil sounds of the Joya street and town as it crashed down. A wave of mana shot out, exploding in a wave with it at ts epicenter. WIndow broken, buildings ripped to shreds, and the few poor souls near, the ones not crushed by its feet when it landed, was soon blown away into the air as the limbs exploded off of their bodies.

A dragon was here.

It roared, freezing the citizens in a cold panic. There was no screams, no movment, just prey caught in time, flight or fight, and stuck in their mental state of stillness.

All besides Jikan and maybe Toma. She had no idea what he did. But as soon as she saw the Dragon come she stepped forward, pushing a piece of her magic energy forward to bounce back against the energy sent out. They were still far away from where the Dragon was but Jikan did not care. A smirk one of the small often expressions on her face was present. Her mana started to ooze out of her body and follow her in aura tension in each of her steps. "A dragon? A DRAGON! WONDERFUL SIMPLY WONDERFUL!! I WILL GET TO HAVE SUCH A FUN TIME FIGHTING YOU BEAST".

The dragon paid no mind to Jikan, letting out an eerie sinister roar and swinging out its tail and arm, it slashed through two buildings. The silent crowd seemed to come to life now, running with death filled cries and tears running down their faces as they fled from the scene.

A rumbling and massive gust of wind shook the very earth around them.Toma was shocked as he quickly side stepped any debris flying his way. His arm was up as he squinted seeing the dragon plop to the ground causing nothing but destruction in its wake. Toma's body was radiating and shaking with excitement yet his face was stone cold. He was tense and nervous but wanted to let loose. He had also felt like that as long as Jikan was there he would fear nothing. The two were both menaces in their own right. Slapping his palms together a yellow magic circle appeared underneath his body. His arms would hum to life with yellow lightning granting him a C rank strength buff. But with his superior buffs would receive double the effectiveness.

Peeking at Jikan as she screamed about challenging the beast. "Keep it distracted and I'll target it's wings. It'll will stay grounded!" Toma would yell to Jikan over the chaos and burst forward into a sprint. Toma nimbly shifted on his toes dancing through the escaping crowd. In his head, the plan of action was to simply take out its wings preventing it from flying away. Not even fly away but get the overhead advantage and start unleashing whatever horrid attacks it could use.

This thing was strong and humongous and sadly Toma doubted his ability of pure firepower. However, he was agile and could whittle away at the thing over time. Not to mention he was quick to strike an opponent's weak points. This was no different he thought. A small sigh escaped his mouth wishing he could just wipe all the escaping people out of the way. But regardless they made good cover as he would continue to close the distance. Hopefully, Jikan would cover him and help out rather than test him now. Not to mention he had never properly seen her magic before.

As long as she had long-range magic capabilities it would all work out. If not then please let her close the distance alongside him. Regardless he would do what was needed to be done for him to make it out alive. Head on the swivel he was to respond for anything at this point. The rush of adrenaline would help keep his mind alive. He could respond to anything the dragon would do in retaliation towards him as he moved.

The dragon whirled around swinging its claw out to grab a handful of fleeing Joyan citizen's tossing most of their bodies into the air where a few unfortunate few were caught in its palm. A slow gradual squeeze as it narrowed its eyes in a cheerful glee before stopping. Torturing the cursed numbers in their hand with a continuous pain but no sweet escape of death.

As Toma yelled forward Jikan simple continued to walk forward. Not choosing to walk around the fleeing masses. The fell, bumped, and ran into each other. The chaos going around her as she continued to make her way towards the beast. It was funny hearing Toma yell commands, but it was true, targeting the wings was the smart thing to do. Keeping it on the ground to limit its movement and remove it flight advantage would remove a huge hindering factor. Even more so if you thouught of its likely fire breath attacks or magic.

Jikan watched as Toma moved into a sprint quickly passing the slow walk that Jikan was using. Bursting pass her and the crowd as he weaved and dance to make his way towards the distracted dragon.

Jikan's hands extended out of her robe. Her arms appeared to be fastened to her side, calm and loose as she made her way forward. Her legs were intertwined with each other, and her feet had disappeared somehow in the cloak, in the movement. As Toma made his way after passing her, Jikan moved into a run, blurring pass the few remaining bodies that were before her before sliding to a stop, finishing her run, she threw her left hand out, swinging it from behind her body to infront of her ina closed fist. A  1-meter white magic circle appears under her as she does so. A white and brown light flashes around her fist before a twirl of wind is formed around her hand. Throwing her hand forward, the size of this twister grows outward to a max of 1 meter in size and traveling 15 meters as it slams back right wing of the dragon. Ripping a whole throat its flesh and scales as the dragon let out a pain filled rage roar. The damage of this attack is A rank.

The black and red color of her robe flickered as Jikan looked onward with a plain cold look now. The long grain of her fit seeming thickened grew solid, and seemed to be all one piece with the writhing white pillar of her legs. A pillar of power and beauty that was curving and swaying as if it had no joints.

Jikan had supported him instead of testing him which let a heavy weight off of his heart for the moment.A torrent of wind had ripped through the air overhead and past his body. He watched it target and pierce through the dragon's wing making it all the more angry. quest will  However, there was still a dragon to face itself.  Due to so it's size even with its ferocity Toma was able to predict and react to its next attack. After running up close he would lunge backward 2m at a speed of 10m/s disappearing before he could be smacked.

Leaving the dragon's side open Toma made a claw with his hand creating a yellow magic circle behind it. The hand was charged with lightning as a Toma swiped the air releasing a 2m arching blade of lightning. The blade traveled at speed of 40m/s per second not giving the dragon a chance to react fast enough to the counterattack. The blade of lightning sliced into the right-wing of the beast dealing B rank dmg. It left a deep gash now injuring both wings. However, Toma continued his assault after launching his initial attack.

Running over bodies and debris it didn't matter using the ability of his armor. The dragon despite its pain wildly spun out of nowhere forcing Toma to drop to the ground on all fours leaving him in an open position. As such the dragon moved to pounce on him after the spin as Toma started to worry. In a desperate maneuver, he pushed off the ground and rolled forward underneath the beast. It thrashed about but because of the length of the dragon's abdomen, it couldn't quite to him allowing him to be safe as long as he kept moving.

But at this point, he was at the advantage so he decided to do some damage by striking it's stomach once. Then he used his footwork to move about and sticking close to its center before striking again dealing 2 B ranks of dmg. The dragon had been fed up it seemed for it then tried to jump in the air. Now exposed Toma started to break away from the engagement by running out towards the South side opposite of Jikan. Hopefully, she would nail it with something as big as she used earlier. He did what he could by capitalizing on the opportunity granted.

Having kept his eyes on the target he watched as the dragon tried to use its wings but it didn't work. With the little dmg they did it was still able to tear through the membrane of the dragon's skin meaning that the one spell he had could prove useful as well.

Jikan watched as her wind spell swelled forward, slamming into and through one of the dragon's wings. She was not sure how much that spell did, but, it did enough to leave a small hole in the targeted wing. Jikan began to quickly think as she ran into a sprint, running in a perpendicular path to the dragon as she kept her eyes on it, moving 8.75 meters per second. She had never fought a dragon before and so she tried to quickly analysis the dragon. By the color of its scales it did not look like it had a specific element. That may be a bad way to guess but it was all she had. Thus, Jikan would assume it had arcane magic. That was a good and a negative. It meant that the dragon had no element advantaged on Jikan or Toma. On the other hand....it meant that they had no element advantage from it. It had some size to it, about the size of a delivery truck.

Jikan watched Toma's movements carefully as she moved in. Eyeing for a time if he needed her to quickly cast a defensive spell. He seemed find though, the martial arts magic hybrid used, lunged back to dodge a swipe from the hefty beast as attempt to attack him, to the move in with an electric claw slash from his hand to the dragon's side. Going up to the dragon's right wing. It was a well time and planned hit, hindering both wings of the dragon, at least a little bit.

At this point the dragon was dead set on Toma, him being the one to be so close to it. After being targeted Toma had to move quickly under the dragon to get out of the way.

At this point Jikan had moved for a few seconds increasing her speed to is full potential as she approached from an angle, she then turned her hips, facing Toma and the dragon before moving forward into a lunge. Moving from the distance she was going 17.5 meters per second.

She looked on with a satisfied smirked as she witnessed Toma's softening blows, and even more so when the beast tried to take flight, only to fail in its attempts and stay put. She saw Toma run to the opposite way she was going, and she expected this next attack to land but it better to be safe than sorry. "TOMA, WATCH OUT", after giving her fellow Sleeping Calamity guild member a warrior, she took a deep breath, ending her position a few meager inches away from the beast as it failed to lift into the air, still holding crying citizens of Joya in its hand, a few of them having a broke arm or rib now as the beast had squeezed its hand once again in anger at the two.

Jikan's bosom expanded, a 4 diameter purple magic circle appears in front of her mouth. Immediately, as the circle was maze, a dark beam of dark energy in the shape of a beam blast was let loose from her moth in a 4 diameters in size. She aimed it away from the hostages, blasting into the beasts chest. As this happened the beast let out a quick roar that created a magic circle infront of its body, the circle released its out energy blast that collided with Jikan's, struggling against it for a moment before being overpowered by Jikan's blast. Her dark beam continued and slammed into the beasts stomach, dealing 1xA damage and leaving a wound on its stomach. At this point the dragooned dropped its hold on the people. Letting the fall with a thud. Some laying motioless while others crawled away or quickly got up and ran.

It paid no mind to them as the beast swirled around, swinging out their tail at Jikan, a magic circle forming at their base as their did so, causing a gray glow to compose it before a mass of energy expanded out in a dense giant slash towards Jikan.

Toma heard the watch out as he turned and saw Jikan preparing something big. Sliding it would kick up dirt whipping his arms and feet to spin 360 degrees. Turned around he watched as Jikan inhaled creating a massive magic circle before firing a breath-like attack at the beast. The dragon met her attack with its own as the two collided and Toma felt the shockwaves through the air. So much so he felt it in his bones and down to his core. But it was no time to be shaken and impressed. While the two were midst their clash Toma took a deep breath and began channeling his magic energy in his hands.

Small sparks flickered from his hands as he put his palms together to mimic the mouth of a dragon aiming at the very live one in front of him. Lightning charged his hands in a difficult burst as memories flashed back to him with a small smirk. He had remembered how long it took him to get this one down and it was a shame. He was saving this for his next spar against Jikan but who cares. He wanted to adopt the mentality of even if he nad no cards he would still win what the hand he was dealt. A pair could kill a king in his mind.


Jikan had won the clash with the dragon as her darkness was able to hit it but he already knew the clash had weakened the spell as it would normally. Regardless the dragon was momentarily stunned and dropped all of the people it was holding on too as they ran away or laid in place too injured. Unlike her, he didn't care about casualties or the lives of the weak around him. They were a nuisance and nothing but cannon fodder that they should not waste time on. The dragon went on with its attacks however creating magic circle and whipping out a arcane slash of energy towards Jikan.

Pulling his elbows in tight to his body he couldn't control the lightning anymore and thrust his hands forward. A step in with his right leg for emphasis as the shape of a dragon's head formed within the lightning would charge 10m at a speed of 40m/s per second. Again filling in the short time frame for a well-placed counter attack. As soon as it attacked the lightning dragon would have slammed into the back of the dragon dealing A rank dmg which Toma followed after with another running start.

Now that it was getting weaker it was time to handle this thing up close and personal. If he could not than he had no pride of as a martial artist."Let's start to finish this thing off! He yelled to Jikan. He had no idea how she would deal with the dragon's attack but he believed in her none the less. Plus her aid would prove much useful.

Earth, wind, and mana bursted around Jikan after her magic and the dragon's magic clashed with each other. Gray and Purple colors flashed before eyes creating a beautiful chaotic sight. The ground chipped broke as the dust settled, Jikan held her body stern as the cloud settled. Once it did she saw what the dragon was up to next. It was something she knew was coming. The dragon oozed blood lust and a thirst for destruction after all. She did not have to guess about what the dragon would do after taking the blow from Jikan to its body. The beast whirled its body around. A gray circle appearing at the bottom of where it stood as the dragon went on to let out a magical attack, its tail appearing to increase in size as it swung it out, letting out a gray energy slash towards Jikan. She stuck out her arms and prepared to take the blow. The spell smashed into her form, sending her 10 meters back, to the left, crashing through several buildings as they crumbled from the blow and arc of the dragon's attack. Jikan layed in the rubble, silent.

Elsewhere on their end, Toma continued their movement and attack assault on the dragon. With a swift motion he extended his hands forward, out of them a beam of yellow energy in the shape of a dragon's head exploded forward. Traveling over the short distance to slam into the dragon's back. Jikan did not see this spell as she was too far away with her vision blocked under the rubble.


"Let's start to finish this thing off!".

Hearing that Jikan exploded out of the rubble flying 5 meters in the air. Her red hair blowing to the side in the wind as she eyed the beast as it turned towards Toma once again after taking a blow. Its tail swinging in a sharp turn, slamming into another building. This one was on the path that Toma was on, as t seemed the dragon attended to drop the material on him and possibly crush him.

"My thoughts exactly", she yelled back to Toma. The white feathers on her back moved and the white 4 meter magic circle on her back and below her shined brightly as she doved forward, quickly accelerating to her full speed in a matter of seconds.

However as Jikan did this she noticed that the dragon was no done with its ire on Toma. A ball of energy was forming in its mouth, a 4 diameter magic circle forming behind the dragon's head in is gray color. Soon the ball expanded and expanded, she did not like that. The mana within that spell felt like it was stronger than the one that classed with hers.

Thinking quick, she let out a hearty cry, a warrior's shout. As she did this a 8 meter diameter brown magic circle appears under them as well as the targeted location. In a second, moving 30 meters per second, the spell circle would appear at where Jikan measured and assumed what Toma's position would be once the spell released. Earthen material appeared out of the magic circle covering Toma from the inside fro all sides in the shape of a giant brown box that holds the dimensions of a 8 by 8 meter cube.

At this point the dragon's spell fired, sending out a 4 meter sized ball towards Toma, the ball would hit Jikan's defensive spell, the mana between the two spells clashing before the ball exploded. Nuking the area around Toma in a 16 meter diameter based on the location. Ash, smoke, and rubble remained, Jikan spell was gone but no damage was done to Toma.

Well this is very well where he may die he thought. The dragon had turned its sights on him after sending Jikan flying off again into rubble. But this time the spell he used was stronger than what it attacked Jikan with it. He only had one spell to be able to block such a thing. Toma halted in his tracks and varied his options and deciding on the only thing he could do.  slamming palms  into the ground.  As a magic circle appeared but another one had appeared on top. He was so caught up he didn't even notice Jikan.

Enveloped by her defensive spell he was surrounded by a rising box made of earth. It was quite spacious and allowed him to save some mana. But as quickly as it came he threw up his arm  to protect his face from all the broken rock. Some of them had cut his hands and parts of his face leaking fresh blood. A switch flipped in his head as Toma looked up from the dispersing smoke. His face and body were the first to be freed from the dirt as he silenced his mind. His hand were clenched and his face was devoid of all feeling. His eyed had a alarming sense of cold to them.

Running out of the of freeing dust cloud Toma raced head on at the dragon. This disgusting lizard tried to kill him so he would destroy it and beat it down. Beat it within inches of its life and then let it suffer and die. Another magic circle appeared behind the dragon as it had fired another spell from its mouth. But it was smaller allowing to easily to take a longer step and duck underneath it. Pouncing forward he spun and continued his momentum covering a distance of 15m.

The dragon whipped its tail overhead but Toma was unbothered by it and side stepping slightly. With his right out he would pivot by a hairs breath and turning to face perpendicular to the tail. It would smash the ground right where he had been and before it could retract he lunged 3m to appear behind the kneecap of the dragon as it would lose sight due to the size of its body. Having to halt after the lunge Toma brought a leg up and thrust it into the bend of the dragon's rear left leg for B rank dmg.

Hopping back into a crouch he avoided another deadly strike as the dragon had used that same leg to kick back with. A yellow magic circle was created underneath his body before he would fly forward 5m at a speed of 10m/s. A bolt of lightning left in his wake appearing underneath the head of the dragon. Toma extended his arm creating another magic circle shroudning his entire right arm in lightning. All the while he had grabbed a rock with his left hand and threw it at the left shoulder of the dragon. He flew up into the air 5m as the dragon had quickly turned its head allowing Toma to fly up and over. Toma flipped himself upside down and spun rapidly. As the dragon moved to look it was too late. Toma would straddled the neck of the dragon while jamming his lightning arm into the eye right eye of the dragon and twisting his arm for C rank piercing damage. The only reason he was even able to vaguely attempt this was that the dragon had sustained considerable damage and was weakened.

The dragon roared in agony but Toma was blinded by his own rage and disgust.Out of anger he had cocked back his arm and created a yellow magic circle. His left palm charged with lightning he freed his right arm before slamming his palm to use a 10m knockback into the head of the dragon. Even with its sized he had attempted to target the head and slam it to the ground with the force of the knockback even releasing the grip he had with his legs to saddle the beast. Bloodlust leaked from his body despite the gentle calm and silence he presented. The Assassasin was now taking control.

Jikan continued to fly in the air, taking a moment to hold back as she saw her defensive spell and the dragon's offensive attack clash. In the after math of the explosion that caused the smoke and debris to fly, she moved, swinging and weaving between the rocks and chunks of earth as she zoomed in on the wounded beast. As strong and durable the dragon may be, it had accumulated a decent amount of damage from Jikan's and Toma's attacks. If not decent, a high moderate amount.

As she broke through the wave of airborne hazardous material, Jikan saw Toma on the move. His face and body breaking free from the smoke cloud, running and dodging around the dragon, ending at a spot behind one of its knees to kick it. He then entered a dance of exchanges with the creature, dodging and hitting each time the beast tried to hit him. Crouching low to avoid a back kick, jumping up and throwing a lighting attack to the dragon's left shoulder. Spinning he continued as the dragon moved, striking to the Dragon's right eye. Then attacking once again with another spell, however it did not look like an attack spell but a spell to push the dragon. It was aimed at its head, forcing the dragon's top half to the ground.

Jikan made note of the swiftness and precision in Toma's moves. A bit of pride and satisfaction in one of her members being up to the task and showing their skill. However, Jikan did not fly there idly by as Toma attacked. When Toma ran towards the dragon and reached the back of the dragon's knee, she flew to the front of the dragon, lower to its stomach coming in from the side to throw out a kick with her left leg, dealing 1xS damage. Her assault would continue, shifting as Toma moved to hit a different spot each time. When Toma jumped forward Jikan flew into a dive into the dragon's right shoulder, throwing out a double palm strike with both of her hands dealing 5xA to the shoulder, a sick cry came as the shoulder seemed to cave in on itself from the blow. Moving up she threw out a right hand punch to the dragon's right cheek, hitting the beast for 3xA to the head at the same time as Toma's blow to blind him. She then back away a few feet, seeing Toma knock the dragon's top half downward. Taking the chance, she spun and threw out a heel kick to the bottom half of the dragon for 1xS, knocking the dragon's body completely into the ground.

Jikan had joined Toma in a flurry of movements and strikes before adding off to his finishing blow. Her execution was flawless as the head of the dragon slammed into the ground. Seeing that the dragon was down for the count Toma had started taking slow and deep breaths to collect himself. They had really just slayed a dragon. Not many could proudly claim such a feat let alone with just two people. A sense of pride and fulfillment had overwhelmed his soul as he walked towards Jikan.Slow pained heavy footed steps as he clutched his side. The blood that was leaking had been from minor cuts and scratches.  He stepped on the dragon's head and spit on it damning the thing. Toma then had stopped to look at all the nearby destruction.

The buildings and streets were littered with debris and dead bodies. But he didn't entirely care as it wasn't his issue or problem. If anything him and Jikan did a favor by taking out the dragon because who was nearby that could?  Regardless he had now achieved a new milestone and point in his life. It made him think back to his days as a slave simply fighting other humans but now he was killing dragons.


Releasing his spell the lightning around his arms would dissipate and wither into nothingness with a few cracks and fizzles. "I say we take its head as a trophy. Seems like the only responsible thing to do." Toma spat out before dusting himself off. But he was simply overcome with the fatigue. He wobbled a bit before falling on his butt and plopping down the dirt.
