Red and orange leaves fell from the trees as the crowd strode by the Hargeon square, sipping a coffee in a tall white mug with his left hand, a man dressed in lightweight robes watched as the public went about their business while he sat outside of a cafe. His business there today meanwhile was more investigative than anything else, He wanted to ensure that the girl who was more like a monster had not returned to continue on with her rampage. It was true that he had fled but she too had disappeared, he was of course prepared to play his cards once more with his staff close by simply leaning on the table just a mere grasp away from grabbing with his right hand. It was obvious that he was out of place as the other customers consisted of young and old couples with the odd family in the corner. The bonds that they showed without restraint was heartbreaking as the man hadn’t heard from his own partner for months now. Ignoring the pain in his heart however, he sighed put down his empty mug and placed down a few jewels to pay for his drink before leaving the cafe. Taking his staff as he moved from the establishment to the fountain, he commented to himself under his breath. “Well are you still here, you shedevil?”

Chelvaric slowly stroked his hand over the tree and let his thoughts flow in prayer to his god. As he had to leave the forest again for some business he had in the city. To bad that he had to go to that rotten place again. The more time he spend in the wild the more he felt his mind drift off to foreign places. He became wilder and wilder inside himself. He had to return to civilization so that he wouldn’t lose his mind. Although it was hard for him at this point to do that he had to.

After a good hike of an hour he would walk through the gates of Haregeon and into the city. The blasted sea air had taken his breath again, he would never get used to that he thought. After a while he would arrive at the plaza where he would spent his time reading before he would go off to the shop hadn’t it been for the familiar aura beaconing from a man standing at the square. Chelvaric would walk closer and he knew he had seen him before. He remembered the fight he had a couple of months ago against the creature cell. This man was there and rather close to him. “Did you fight against that green monster”, Chelvaric would ask the man as he had walked closer to him.

Moving towards the fountain itself the flowing water grew loud enough to become audible, reaching it he looked inwards to the vast pool of green water, he watched as the various fish swam through the vegetated section in between the section of the fountain where the water struck and the other closer to the corners of the fountain which was littered with jewels for perspective dreamers hoping for luck. Picking few jewels out of his pocket himself before flicking them into the water himself, he wasn't a believer of luck nor one that needed it he did so more to keep appearances. Interestingly as he Turned seemingly out of no-where an individual who he vaguely remembered spoke to him, questioning him about a green monster. Pondering for a moment about what he meant and drawing back on past memories apologising for needing a moment. "Hmm, maybe?, just a moment I'll see if I can remember." He recalled a fight with a green person called Cell along with this individual but not his name. Looking at him with a stern expression he commented. "Yes, I fought against Cell, that was some time ago, I remember that you too were there, however, I don't believe I caught your name when we first saw each-other." Recognising that his hands were gloved he stretched out his right hand and introduced himself once more just in case. "Anyway I'm Kon."

Chelvaric looked at the man and waited for him to awnser him. It seemed the man needed a moment to regain his thoughts. He didn’t blame him it was months ago and they only saw each other while they were fighting. He didn’t speak to him that much nor did he mention his name as far as he remembered. He wondered if the man even would recognize him. But it seemed he eventually did and he started to reconcile with his lost memories. It seemed that Chelvaric indeed didn’t give his name to the man. Though he did remembered the foes name. one that Chelvaric had sort of forgotten.

“Nice to meet you Kon, I am Chelvaric Walderkat it was good to fight on your side”, Chelvaric would say to the man and then he would put his hand in Kon's hand to firmly greet him. “So what brings you to the lovely home town of Blue Pegasus”, he would ask the man curious if it was the same reason as all the others that had come to here. It probably was as it seemed to be the sole reason now days to hang out in Hargeon which was a bit sad since it put a dark undertone to everything that happened in the little town.

Reconfirming the newcomer's name, he repeated it to himself in his head. "Chelvaric, Chelvaric Walderkat." As foreign of a name as his own around this area, though of course he would refrain from mentioning it as it would likely cause unwanted tension. Interestingly he continued on regardless questioning him about his reasons for being in Hargeon in the first place while also commenting on it being the home of the Blue Pegasus guild building which in turn suggested that he was a Blue Pegasus member just strolling about. Wanting to ensure that there was no miscommunication between them while also gather more information on the newcomer, he replied. "Oh my girlfriend is here and I'm just hanging back until she's not busy, you mentioned the blue pegasus guild, are you a member?, I heard that they were attacked not too recently." Wanting to learn more about what had happened he questioned him more so. "I had heard rumours when I was away and wanted to make sure that those close to me in the area were okay." Willing to portray both vulnerability and readiness to use force to gain information, he motioned forward towards the man and grabbed the front of his shirt. "Tell me!....please."

Chelvaric looked at the man as it seemed he was thinking about something before he started to talk. Ah the man was here because his girlfriend was hanging around. He smirked a bit at the thought. Well it was nice to have someone that cared for you that much. He wondered if the girl he was thinking about would one day become the same. It seemed he also had heard of the attack and for a countless time he would have to give information about it. Not that he minded he understoot why he was interested. But it seemed the man was doing it more to know if family or friends were doing okay. So it wasn’t to get some juicy news for some tabloid. He hated people like that but it seemed he finnaly had found a more decent person till he got grabbed by his collar. He was startled at first but it seemed the man really cared as he still was asking nice. Although his face was speaking books.

“Calm down, if you’re a good person I would tell anyway. No need for violence so early. Don’t worry by the way it seems you really care for your friends. Yes, I am a Blue Pegasus member, this city got attacked by a group called grimoire heart. As far as I know, no one of the civilians got hurt.", he said while he took a pause to breathe in.

"Here and there the dark mages attacked blue Pegasus members. Maybe some other mages got involved too but to be honest not even I know about that for sure.”, he would say to the man. He didn’t mind telling him about the event it seemed he was a caring person and someone evil wouldn’t be like this.

Chelvaric confirmed the reports revealing that they had been attacked by none other than Grimoire Heart, "Fuck, Grimoire Heart again that person who attacked Rune Knights is sure to be associated with them somehow most likely a member." He thought to himself, he had almost overlooked Chelvaric revealing that yes he was a blue pegasus member after all was not just a travelling adventurer. Thankful that no-one had been seriously injured the mage relaxed ever so slight, enough to notice not just the lack of attire that the man was wearing but also the ears that greatly resembled his own suggesting that the newcomer was also a neko along with his cousin, LeeAnn and his girlfriend, Alice. He was surprised to know that Nekos were so common though it was hardly surprising considering they were perhaps one of the hold one of the larger demographic percentile for the other races outside of human.


Wanting to share the comradery through their shared genetics, he released Chelvaric casually and commented while flicking his own ear. “I noticed you have cat ears are you too a Neko perhaps?, I’m curious as to how you became one, naturally or through some magical mishap in my case?”

Chelvaric was still being held by the man. It seemed he first was gonna talk before letting him loose. Chelvaric wasn’t mad yet but it did get annoying now. It seems he was again thinking about something and when he was done he released Chelvaric. He did a motion on his ears. Chelvaric had noticed his cat ears and wanted to ask about that later but it seemed the man would bring up the topic anyway. He mentioned he was a Neko and asked how and if he was one too. He wondered if he should share his story to this Kon person. Maybe just part of it ,he thought to himself and he started to talk to his fellow race member.

“Yeah I am the real deal alright. Hmm, well the story is a bit long if I have to say it into detail. But the short version is this, I did enough good deeds as an Excorsist in my gods eyes and then he granted me the blessing of becoming a Neko. I was overjoyed when it happened who wants to be a normal human anyway”, he would say to Kon not knowing if he actually shared that thought or not. “What magical mishap happen that you received something so glorious?”, Chelvaric asked of the man. he didn’t know that magic like that existed. His blessing seemed to be a bit less spectacular in that way.

"Interesting, an exorcist, fortunate that we did not meet under earlier circumstances otherwise we would have likely become rivals if things had been misinterpreted." He thought to himself, though as he sized him up the man in question appeared no less threatening than any other perhaps showier than others. According to Chelvaric his "gods" had granted him this "gift" for his work and implied that nekos were the superior race over humans. As a former human who prefers to acknowledge his human traits more than his cat ones, he responded to his comments while asking his ponder about him becoming a cat in the first place. “I always been a human all my life up until recently when i cast the wrong spell from an ancient tome, ever since then I’ve been trying to change back to a human while you might enjoy the cat ears and the feline abilities I miss being able to take a shower without mediating for a brief period of time. I want to be able to swim in the ocean something I never wanted to do until I became a neko.” Noticing he was practically attacking their shared race from his comments, he paused for a moment. “Look so we don’t start on the bad foot with one another how about we get something to eat?, have you eaten?”

It seemed the man had been quite lucky to have casted that spell. He should ask more about that tome and where he found it. Maybe it was a relic from Nekotamia that wasn’t supposed to be in the human world. Since he accidentally became one he probably didn’t know about the other realm. He better didn’t speak about it or he would call him crazy or a lunatic. It seemed he really had problems coming to terms with the water fear. It seemed Chelvaric had to give him advice but before he would say anything he would let the man finish talking. “Oh yeah, I am starving. Follow me I know a good place!”, he said to him enthusiastically and walked to a small place in an alley close by the square. The place looked really shady from the outside like thieves would be hiding in it but the inside was a super cozy home feeling dining place. With small wooden tables covered in square motive tablecloth. With flowers in the middle on each table.

“I have to say they cook the best fish here! And I am sure you’ll love it.”, he said to the man and took a place. “By the way there other ways to clean yourself then showering. But I guess it’s hard being a Neko if you want to swim.”, he said to Kon but didn’t disclose the way how you could do it. That’s one he should figure out for himself or he won’t be ready for it. He made sure not to sit on his tail when he sat down on a chair.

Fortunately for the mage, Chelvaric was able to take his comments into stride as he spoke on about getting something to eat, he even suggested a place. Not one to refuse a recommended establishment, he merely nodded and followed Chel as he led them to a modest restaurant. Reaching it he elaborated on the reason for his recommendation explaining that they had the best fish, which was a great achievement if turn considering the source of fish was just the ocean around the town. Willing to put his faith in his assessment in the place albeit with hesitation he merely commented. “Right….” Taking a seat opposite to the cat, he listened as Chelvaric implied other methods of cleaning which he quickly guessed before just as quickly discarding those options as he preferred his showers over the disgusting idea of licking himself clean. Moving past his suggestion he picked up a menu from a stack in the middle of the table and scanned it before asking Chel for his suggestion on what to order. “So what’s good here?” As he asked this one of the waiters came in and requested their orders for their drinks, wanting something more bold to counter his meal most likely fish Kon ordered himself a pint of stout before redirecting the waiter to Chelvaric.

The mage seemed to have guessed what he meant with the cleaning and only looked in disgust. Ah well soon he will be ripe for it. It seemed he was still in his human thoughts to much. A cute young teenaged waitress came who had her blond hair in a ponytail behind her. She was holding her plate in front of her as she seemed to be a bit flustered by Chelvaric his looks. He was considered as a hot guy after all. Too bad for her but he was a clueless boy. He ordered him some miktea as he wanted to refresh his mouth with the sweet taste of the tea. Kon asked if they had a famous dish.

“There stingray is to die for to be honest. If you never ate it don’t be scared just do it. Well for me the crab pot.”, He would say to Kon and to the waitress. After she took the orders she left and Chelvaric focused his attention back on Kon while they waited for the food and drinks. He wondered if he was actually a mage. “What guild do you belong to by the way?”, he would ask and look at him in question while one ear folded downwards.

Chelvaric essentially recommended two dishes initially the stingray though he seemed to have some hesitation regarding eating while also indirectly suggesting the crab pot. As he was one willing to try different things for the sake of trying new experiences, once the waitress returned to their table with their drinks he would ask for the aforementioned stingray. He could only really guess at the texture probably close to that of squid, unsurprising the neko in front of him questioned his own allegiances specifically whether he was associated with a guild. There was no need for him to lie nor was there a reason for him to completely reveal himself, instead only replying. “I’m not associated with any guild, pretty much a freelancer. When did you first join Blue Pegasus you seem to have a strong bond between yourself and the group if I’m not mistaken of course.” As he finished the waitress returned with their drinks both full to the brim, his drink had a fairly large head of foam which clung to the top of his mouth after he took a sip requiring him to wipe it off. “Sorry about that I was a bit parched, now where were we?”

The man was asking about his first time he joined the guild and that he had a strong bond with them. well to be fair he only had a strong bond with snow and he knew some others of the guild but he spend his time mostly soloing jobs well that was the plan atleast but for some reason he always bumped into snow and it ends up being a group job. The man got his pint and drank of it leaving a huge amount of foam on his face after wich he appoligized for and then let Chelvaric awnser his question.

“Well I joined around nearly a year ago. It went all pretty fast to be honest. I had just graduated and arrived in fiore to do some good here. So I ended up doing freelancing a bit like you I suppose. But then I joined blue Pegasus as they seemed to be a good bunch of people. I am not super tight with them but I do have a good team I ampart off. We do lots of jobs and I am happy I got to help so many people in my time. So why did you not go to a guild actualy.”, Chelvaric would ask the man a bit curious why he was a freelancer.

The answer was hardly surprising his association to the guild seemed to be more due to the individuals within it rather than it’s title or its benefits, curious about his own choices of being independent, he suggested joining a guild perhaps in an attempt to recruit a member for Blue Pegasus. He wasn’t not by any means interested in joining the guild with his focus only being there due to the people involved around it. Wanting to illustrate that to him he responded promptly whilst placing down his mug. “I’ve been with numerous different groups some good some neutral, overall though I’ve found it far better to be by yourself as you’re not tied down to an organisation which could be attacked at any point as was the case of your own guild and even the Rune Knights.” Once again retrieving his drink from the table, he muttered under his breathe just before he drank from his mug concealing his voice. “It’s not like many organisations would have me at this point now anyway…” With another swig of the beer being taken, the blonde mage redirected the conversation towards Chelvaric and who he was. “So given that you’re a guild member of the Blue Pegasus that must mean you’re a mage of some kind evident through your lack of gear, what do you dabble in nature?, fire?, obviously not water then you’d be afraid of your own magic.”

It seemed the man had been in a lot of different groups but never found his place. Nor did he trust any groups. This guy really has trust issues it seems. Still we all are like that once in our live. The problem with that is that we don’t grow and only go backwards or straight into darkness. “well it seems you had your fair of groups then. Even it seems that you strayed of the righteous path for a bit. But I wouldn’t worry you never know where faith brings you. As long as we are just we will land on our legs as my teacher always said.”, Chelvaric said to kon while he was thinking about his old school. Ah that teacher always has pearls of wisdom. He would still be giving them if he didn’t happen.

Chelvaric Sighed and just pushed the thoughts back into his head as Kon asked him what magic he was using. “Oh that is a smart observation. I am one with nature and nature is one with me. I recently acquired a new magic. Its still unfamiliar to me and atuning to my body. I have no idea yet what it will bring me. But leafeon was the one who Brought me to the great Spirit of the forest.”, he said to him and Elisa jumped on his lap to lay down. The waiters suddenly appeared and gave them there food. It smelled delicuisly as the pot of crabs stood infront of him with butter and bread on the side. “What about you? What magic fits a rogue unit like you?”, he would ask the man while he cracked a crab leg and slurped the meat out of it.

Initially Chelvaric came off rather judgemental as he responded calling into question both his morales and his faith before seemingly completely forgiving him, interested in fluid nature of his thought about a man he didn’t even know he explained further though in a fashion that would overplay enough to hide his true self. “Thank you, I think?, though I’m not a faithful man, for all you know i could be a wanted criminal or just some simple smuck.” Moving past his comment, he listened as Chel confirmed his first guess recognising that he was a mage and used nature magic something that would be a threat against him if he needed to fight against. It seemed though that he only recently became a nature mage changing from something else and acknowledge he was still learning his ways with it. The food arrived causing a break to occur between the conversation with him receiving his initially followed up by Chelvaric. It was an interesting meal and while he picked at it he listened as his eating partner followed up asking about his own magic. “Ah, well I use light magic, tends to come in handy if i encounter the odd lycan or vampire in the wild while I’m travelling about.”

Chelvaric listened to the man as he started to eat further on his crab pot. The salty but sweet taste of the crab meat and the bread and butter were going along very nicely and he was enjoying his meal. Kon brought to his attention that he could be a bad mage or not faithfull.

“Would a bad person be so concerned about his comrades? No mister Kon I can feel you definitely have some good inside you. If that good is you now or your future I can’t tell but I wouldn’t be so open to you if I didn’t trust you after all”, he said to him giving him an indifferent look.

It seems the man was really poking at Chelvaric’s thoughts. He didn’t mind if he would think he was crazy or very harsh in what he said. It were his believes and he wouldn’t stray from them. he didn’t mind it anyway people were always fishing for stuffs when they talked to other people. He was quite surprised on Kon's element. He really seemed to have lost his touch with light since he didn’t even notice it. “ah my old element. It’s a good choice to use light. Ugh, lycans I met one in the attack quite nasty beasts”, he would say Kon while he drank a bit before continuing to consume his meal.

Chelvarics trail of thinking regarding his morality was in someway on point however he did know individuals that were “bad” that still cared for their friends and family perhaps in a way that a good people couldn’t at least in the way of the lengths that they would be willing to go to. He would choose to refrain from mentioning the flaw in his line of thinking only, allowing him to elaborate further with him explaining the the only reason why he had been so open with Kon was due to his good nature. Once again respecting his options, he would merely scoff at him. “Okay I’m a good person thank you for clarifying that for me.” Not wishing for his meal to grow cold and thereby wasting it as the meal contained fish, he dove into it as Chel responded further. His comment focused over once more to elemental magic, with him elaborating on him formerly having light only to change to nature instead all that recently.

Wanting to continue with building the repur that was establishing between them, Kon explained his own changes in magic. “Yes I too have had a change in elements formerly i don’t know whether or not you noticed I used darkness and up until a few months ago it changed to Light and since then it’s be a great chance for me to expand upon my former abilities.”

Chelvaric looked at kon while he started to finish his meal and while kon finally started on it. It seemed kon was getting a bit aggravated in Chelvarics speaking to him. He didn’t mean to make him mad but sometimes the truth could hurt he guessed. “I am sorry if I offended you in any way.”, Chelvaric would say and then listened to him as he changed his elements. He found it a bit surprising he used darkness he didn't know how he felt about that. He was always thought that once your evil you mostly can’t go back but it seems this man did. He was finished with his meal and he needed to actually go back and do the shopping he intended to do when he came to hargeon. “Sorry can I have the bill please.”, he shouted to the waiter and waited for the man to arrive after wich he paid the amount of jewels he needed too.

“it’s on me don’t worry about it. It was nice meeting you but I really have to get going now. I still need to do a lot of shopping before it’s dark. I hope you didn’t mind me snooping sometime of you today.”, Chelvaric and stuck his hand out to the man. After wich, he and Elisa left the dinner and went out for shopping.

It appeared that Kon's blunt responses had become misintrepreted by Chel with him apologising for his comments which was unusual at least from his perspective as he didn't think he had said anything inherently wrong, perhaps it was his tone. Whenever he did apologise, he merely shook his head and raised his hand, "Don't worry." the blonde haired mage replied each time. Eventually with the conversation coming to an end and the meal the waiter was called with Chel taking the bill in this case although Kon commented saying afterwards. "Don't worry Chel you don't mind me calling you Chel do you?, I'll take the next bill if and when we have lunch or something together in the future." Chel having other duties to attend with he begged his pardon and extended his reach to kon allowing him to shake his hand, as he wished to maintain the relationship in a positive light, he returned in kind accepting the handshake with a firm grasp. "Let's meet up again sometime in the future, I'll give you a bell if I hear about you when i'm in the same town, hey I've heard there's some competitions taking place here in a few days perhaps we'll meet each-other then, in the meantime, good-bye."
