Alisa

It had been a few days since Alisa had last seen somebody from the guild. She hadn't seen Chelvaric in days, Snowflake in weeks, Finn in months, and everyone else she couldn't even scarcely remember. Of course, she was in Magnolia, not Hargeon, alas Magnolia was as in as a city can possibly be in the past few days. Everybody and their mother was here. Thus it came as sort of a surprise she hadn't seen another Pegasus in so long.

She couldn't really go without her morning workout, but right after lunch it was time to go out and look around some more. The city of Magnolia, albeit beautiful, was rather crowded as well, meaning Alisa needed a fair bit of manouvering skills to avoid the worst of it. Not nearly as hard as she might have imagined, no doubt most of the people were sleeping the early afternoon away, understandable on such a hot day.

Sticking to the main streets only worked so long as her trust issues didn't act up, and once she started seeing more people than she could track she quickly slipped into a smaller alley on route to the park... With the added confort of being far more shaded and comfortable to walk under.

The breeze combined with the flimsy white summer dress she had on helped a great deal - plus it gave her a more casual look, yet no less stylish than her usual taste - with nothing but the red flush or the occasional sweaty droplet on her skin betraying her heat and general preference for cooler envoiroments. Not that either of those would stop her from enjoying this lovely weather however she could.

Alisa would eventually reach the park under the lively sounds of birds' songs and children's voices, enough to put a smile on anyone's face. Finding her own place to sculpt in peace and quiet wasn't really hard either, a simple wooden bench next to a fountain. Without further ado, the sculptress immediately produced a small crystal in her hand and looked around, seeking inspiration.

"Maybe I'll still run into any of my guildmates here...", she thought out loud, rubbing her chin before looking over to her handbag, from where Lumen was finally climbing her way out of.

Not counting Marina of course, even if Alisa was seriously considering extending the girl a formal invitation to join Blue Pegasus...

Squatting down, hands on his knees and rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet, Finn stared at the ground in front of him. Down below, scurrying around the moss that was clinging to the base of this random tree for dear life, were a civilization of insects. The occasional worm had made its way across the fuzzy carpet of the earth, a nice change of pace from the overflow of beetles and ants that seemed to take that very route. It wasn't something that was necessarily interesting, but it seemed like everything had grown more dull in the heat.

As the sun beat down and the humidity made his clothes grip him with a damp desperation, a deep sigh found itself from his lips. It was a sign, as much to no one as it was to himself, that he needed something to do. Magnolia had certainly turned out to be a lively place for him, giving him both new acquaintances and the luxury of reconnecting with old ones. Still, no matter how interesting the life there would come boring days. It was an inevitability.

As he reached down and poked at the moss, he heard the sound of feet approaching. Normally he may have missed it with how tuned out he was, but the sound of flip flops smacking against bare feet offered enough of a jar to his attention. Standing and turning, the sound of a few cracks came from his back. "Wooah man," he grunted, stretching his back into itself and putting a hand on his spine. "How long was I like that..?" Asking the question in a mumble to the wind, he turned and edged around the tree, looking at the familiar face that was currently half buried into her handbag.

"Hey Alisa!" His voice sparked out with excitement, a hand raising up to hail her attention before dropping back down, walking a bit closer to her. "It's been a while, how've you been?"

The cool breeze picked up slightly, enough to bring goosebumps to her fair skin as she helped the little Litwick out of its hiding place. Before doing anything else, she couldn't let poor Lumen stay cooped up inside a bag on such a lovely day. They had a rather large tree keeping their seat somewhat shaded; oddly enough Alisa still worried for her partner's waxy body under a hot summer sky.

Even though Lumen's species clearly had a fire affinity...

One of those things that just takes time getting used to, especially for someone like Alisa who had a soft spot for cute

things, not letting him fight or get himself in danger. And speaking of cute things (or rather, people), a familiar voice called out to her not too far away. She was pretty sure nobody else was around - though she didn't bother checking properly with how open this place was - yet betrayed no surprise other than a slight raise of her brow.

"Oh, Finn...! Hello there~", her serene grace contrasted with his energetic excitement, yet the widening smile on her face spoke for itself, "You're a sight for sore eyes."; and with a soft chuckle, she once more brushed those fluttering strands of hair behind her ear, while Lumen just smiled and waved

He always looked ready for the outdoors... She knew Finn was an adventurer at heart, more so than anybody else in her guild. He often had fun stories to share. And they hadn't seen each other, let alone talked in a long while, ever since going their separate ways after that mission in Crocus. So, Alisa crossed her legs and leaned back, patting the space next to her on the bench, a silent invitation for him to join her while she sculpted.

"So what have you been up to?", she'd ask, keeping her ruby eyes firmly on his' even as she produced a pink crystalline lump on one palm and started carving it, shaving off crystal dust simply by running her fingers over it, without sparing it so much as a glance, "I haven't heard anything from you since Crocus."

For a tactile sculptress like her, carving without the use of her eyes hardly presented any major handicap, and let her keep her hands busy while she talked.

Alisa had always been a member of Blue Pegasus whom Finn felt a special relationship with. She was without a doubt one of his best friends in the guild, and likely one of his best friends in general. She was also likely the ace of the guild in his eyes. While he had absolutely no doubts of his own physical abilities and latent potential with his sword, the fact still stood that she was a mage. As much as she worked to take care of her physical health as well, he wouldn't be surprised if she had more power output than he did.

With those things in common, she was one of the people who he fully let his guard down around. No apprehensiveness, no feelings of idiocy, simply the enjoyment of her company. As she greeted him and patted the seat next to her, he smiled and nodded before making his way into its vacancy. "Same to ya," he started with a laugh, resting his hands on the bench to either side of his legs and looking at her with a smile plastered upon his face.

She inquired into what he had been up to while she produced something to begin working on. It was red, looking very similar to a crystal. The only crystals he had seen though were blue or white in nature, not this vibrant and almost translucent red. Aside from that, she was sculpting through it as if it were not there at all. "Not much," he started to answer her question.

His mind raced back to when they last parted and the things that had happened in between. Much had happened, and yet for the first time ever he felt like he didn't hold onto them as memories. Each occurrence still felt ongoing, as if he were still being sculpted by it even now. "Went into some dungeons. Killed some junk. Found a new sword. Fought some bad guys in Era." He was listing the things off as if he were recounting a day at the office before flashing her another smile, locking eyes. "What about you?"

If she had to pick the member of Blue Pegasus she was closest to, Finn would be the only answer. In more ways than one too; While she'd never fought him, Alisa also saw him as the closest to herself in terms of physical power, probably even greater. Sure, the crystal mage had a few tricks up her sleeve in the form of stronger spells, though she usually stayed away from revealing them unless someone's life depended on them. Perhaps they would train together one of these days and they could both see for themselves. Better yet, they could join up and take a high level mission, one of those the sculptress seldom found a strong enough partner to take along.

That last job they took hardly took any significant effort from either of them...

Ruby eyes followed his movement as he accepted the invitation and joined her on the bench, the proceeded to list out his most recent exploits for the artists' ever endless curiosity. It sounded like just an average day for Finn, and she knew him well enough to know that was right on the money. Unlike most people in Blue Pegasus - Alisa herself included - he was open about his hopes and dreams, what drove him forward. His purity and kindness. Indeed the more she thought about it the mire she believed Finn and Marina would get along swimmingly. That desert nomad was the only other person she knew to be this genuine. Perhaps she should introduce them one of these days, especially given how she was considering formally inviting her ot the guild.

"Those sound rather interesting compared to mine~", Alisa chuckled, looking off into the distance before trailing her gaze back to him, "Let's see... Catching fish in Hargeon and Cabbages in Marigold. Oh, and took down some pervert at Magnolia baths.", she'd count, raising a finger for each town she'd visited in the past few days.

Among all these three, the Pervert job might have given her the most action, though she rather liked Hargeon, how she could swim in the ocean or just take long walks on the beach for her spare time. But she missed taking on a real job with someone who could keep up with her:

"It appears we should really go on another adventure one of these days.", she offered and challenged all in one, throwing him a wink, "Doing them by yourself isn't nearly as fun."

As Alisa's sculpture was gradually taking a quadrupedal shape, she thought about the last quest they had on, with three younger members. One of whom was steadily approaching both of them in sheer power. That team they made might not have lasted long, but their bonds wouldn't wane so easily. And these two... Alisa and Finn frequently bonded on their shared dislike for boredom, what better to stimualate their interest than the kind of adventure neither of them could take on their own?

"That sounds interesting too though. It's a good thing you've stayed busy, I think." The briefest of moments he ran through what she said in his mind again. When her comment on the pervert replayed through his mind, he could not help but imagine her her as an angry recipient of the perversion. While no wild images bore their way into his mind, the idea itself was enough to tilt his cheeks pink and cause a little bit of a laugh. "The guy had no idea what was coming his way." Alisa was not just one of the strongest mages in Blue Pegasus, she was arguably one of the strongest on the continent. If she got her hands on that pervert, he could only imagine what she'd done to him.

"Definitely!" His voice had a bit of excitement in it as his mind wondered through the adventures he had been on recently. For a moment, Finn's joy seemed to falter. Something had obviously popped into his mind and caused him to pay it particular attention. This was not to say he looked upset or anything of the sort, merely that the happiness had been shifted.

"Hey," he started, glancing at her. "Have you heard of anything strange happening since we last met up?" As he asked it, he stared at her momentarily. It was as if it took the slight pause for him to realize that he had not given enough information. In reality, he hadn't thought of a better way to expand upon it. "There was some weird stuff that happened in Magnolia. Explosions, and strong people. Jake actually got really hurt there, and so would I if he hadn't been so ready to act."

As he spoke, his mind began racing back to the events. "I was about to kill the one guy who did it, but then..." His nonchalant way of addressing death was one that put many light mages into a bit of an uncomfortable position. As good a person as Finn may be, his views on life and death were certainly different than others.

"Someone strong showed up. Every instinct was telling me that I had to put him down then and there, or a lot of people would be in danger. But then I was asleep. It was weird... Have you heard anything? About weird groups, or strong people?"

"Well, I'd hardly call that busy~", chuckled Alisa, thinking back to how she looked at most of those jobs; like pasttimes. In a way she imagined Finn wasn't too different either. She was outraged enough to chop the guy's throat (in her defense, he did try to hit her), but looking back on it she just shrugged, "Well, that's what he gets for peeping on the women's bath."

For all her forgiving cool and unyielding confidence in her looks, some things were plain unacceptable.

He accepted her invitation as excitably as ever, but sadly, that youthful look that didn't last long. Anybody could tell he was worried about something, enough for the empathetic Alisa to turn serious as she watched him. To his credit, she didn't have to ask what was on his mind, though the question he asked made her raise an eyebrow, "Define 'strange'.", she answered, almost reflexively.

...And define it he did.

Her brow raised for a split second, then furrowed as he recounted the not so cheerful events he'd been through recently. Even Lumen grow saddened and sullemn as she hopped onto Alisa's lap, both silently listening to their guildmate's tale. Explosions in Magnolia, strong people. It sounded like a terrorist attack, dark mages on the loose. But there was no way to be certain.

She wouldn't even flinch when he mentioned he was ready to kill the man responsible, the first clue Finn might ever recieve as to the kind of past Alisa experienced. With the burden of vengeance weighing heavily on her shoulders, she wouldn't think any less of him for following the same path, quite the opposite, she understood where he was coming from.

She'd never openly admit this to anybody, yet she didn't bother hiding it from her guildmates, not from Finn at least.

Only when he asked the question did she finally speak up: "I haven't.", Alisa shook her head, a hint of disappointment on her face. She hoped to be of more help to Finn, she knew he cared for his partner like he would a relative, "Must have happened before I arrived. Either that or the Council's keeping a tight lid on it. I'd suggest asking a Rune Knight."

Which isn't too surprising either; in the wake of such an attack, one should try and draw as least attention to it as possible, so as to avoid causing a panic.

"...But more importantly, how's Jake?", she asked with a concerned expression, gripping her partner a bit tighter, holding on to her incomplete statuette. Protecting the loved ones you have left always took priority over payback.

After all Alisa had failed to protect her mother. Back then she was too weak, nowhere near the kind of power to achieve what even her father couldn't. She swore never to let it happen again, but she also knew even her power alone had limits. If push came to shove, she'd put her guildmates' safety over her own personal quest...

Alisa was one of the few who would not just dabble in something serious. She would devote herself to it, hearing someone out completely and making sure she gave it proper attention. It was who she was, and it was a trait that made her both a great friend and a great member of Blue Pegasus. One thing she did though, regardless of whether or not she realized it, was assume others viewed some things in a similar way. Or, at the very least, she projected her views onto others.

For while Finn spoke of nearly killing this man, although he did not know that her mind went there, she felt a sort of empathy for the man. As if killing was some grand taboo, something to never be approached. She was treating death as a last option, something to be avoided, or something to be looked at critically. While she was not necessarily wrong, it was not at all how Finn thought. That was not to say that he would enforce his beliefs on her or anyone. He was not that type of guy, and wouldn't resort to such methods in this situation. It wouldn't even bother him that she thought of it that way.

He certainly didn't, though. To him, life and death were things that went hand in hand. Those who wished to enter their world of prey and predator knew full well what they were getting into. Even if they did not, they would learn soon enough. One did not become a mage without acknowledging, even if only subconsciously, that their life could become forfeit at any time. They had to understand that it was not a guarantee that they'd come home safe every single day. They entered a world that transcended the bounds of the ordinary, and they did so while surrounded by others of the same caliber who all wanted different things. Whether or not it was their intention, it was a real risk. It was natural.

To Finn, it was an expected result. One didn't spend their life growing up in the woods learning to fear taking a life. One did not swing around a sword with the intent to ensure his enemy lived. To her, it was something solemn and to be looked at as a serious act. To him, it was a fact of life.

Regardless of that, her words soon came in answer to his question. It was not necessarily the answer he wished to hear, but it was an honest one that at least crossed off one place go get leads. Furrowing his brow and crossing his arms, he thought about the subject again. He hadn't delved too much into it once it happened, but it was something that had never left his mind. Even now, the whole incident with the being known as Cell was something on his mind. Was he somehow connected to the thing at Era? It was so much to process...

Too much.

With a grunt, Finn brought his hands to his head and ruffled his hair in frustration. Soon, she asked a rather important question. Glancing at her with soft eyes and a grateful smile, he nodded. "Jake's fine. He said he has a scar on his arm, but it's so thin that it can't even be noticed. He was hit while his body was gigantic, so it's not too surprising... But even if it was bigger, his hair covers it up completely." He didn't know if Alisa knew of Jake's titan magic, but even if she didn't she'd likely be too respectful of the subject to press- Or not.

"So," he began, deciding a change of subject was in order at least for the time being. "What brought you to Magnolia? Anything in particular? Or anything interesting enough to make you stay long enough to run into me?"

Indeed no matter how good an insight one might have, nothing short of living another person's life - with their mind and their memories - can truly let you know how they see the world. An idea, is just that, an idea; She couldn't know what it was like to kill regularly to survive, but she did know that even the kindest of people would eventually detach themselves from the act of taking a life.

The worst of people would enjoy it.

Therein lies the problem with revenge. You can lie to yourself, say it's about justice, say that they deserve it, whatever helps you sleep at night... But at the end of the day you're just doing it for self gratification. She had a wake up call eventually, when her 'kill first, ask questions later' approach to vigilantism made her take the life of someone who by all accounts didn't deserve it. Someone whose only sin was standing at the wrong place at the wrong time, maybe hanging out with the wrong crowd, but didn't even show her any killing intent.

Learning this made her doubt herself, think whether she really had any right to do what she was so hellbent on.

Looking back on it now, she understands she stood at a crossroads: If she had a talked to the wrong person, she might have truly turned into what she hated most. Instead, It was a member of Blue Pegasus who got to her first, someone who called her sculptures art. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Once she traded her one track mind for a contemplative outlook, she saw things a bit more clearly: Light and Dark don't equate to good and evil; those are a matter of perspective. If anything changed was her own misguided belief that she was good and those she killed were evil. If there was something she might truly call evil, was pointless carnage.

She still responded in kind when confronted with killing intent, and still wouldn't abandon her quest... She just looked at it differently...

But ultimately, even if knew the way Finn looked at it, she wouldn't think any less of him: There's a difference in killing someone to ensure your survival, that of your loved ones, instead of doing it because it feels good. And she knew he didn't fall in the latter category.

...And fortunately, whoever the culprit had also failed at killing either: "I'm glad...", she sighed, relieved that Jake had gotten away with a small wound.

She was pretty surprised to hear his dog partner could turn gigantic, and there was only one magic she knew that could pull that off. A very rare magic at that... She didn't rule out it being some power she didn't know, but truly, this didn't feel like the right time to ask about it. She'd ask Jake himself next time she saw him, and gladly took the cue to change subjects:

"I just came here to see the sights, but eventually I met someone I believe could fit in Blue Pegasus.", she answered, going back to her sculpture, and wondering what that desert wanderer was up to, "You should meet her, I'm pretty sure you'd get along."

She'd never been told about Finn's upbringing or what motivated Marina's travels, yet Alisa got that adventurous, survivalist vibe from both of them. Clearly, neither of them had it easy from the start, unlike the sculptress whose life only got hard later on, partly by her own choice. Both of them turned out alright however, despite whatever harshness they may have had to cope with.

Well, assuming the sculptress did end up recruiting her new friend into the guild, they'd no doubt get plenty of opportunities to meet.

"Honestly, I didn't even know you were also here. But now that I do, I'm sure I can stay a little longer~", she winked with a soft chuckle, "Assuming you're planning to stick around?"

She cocked her head slightly as she looked at him, a few tresses of raven hair draping down over her face, just as her hands put the finishing touches on that statuette. Now clearly looking like a dog with its head raised high, like it was howling.

Once she was satisfied with the shape, she immediately offered it to Finn with a smile on her face, "Here."

Her sigh of relief was a sort of wake up call for Finn. The emotion in her voice, albeit quiet and baited, made him look at her with a minor amount of concern. Sometimes, in his travels, it was easy to forget that he had friends in the guild. Friends who cared about him. Looking down at his hands for a moment, he wondered whether or not he was a bad friend. After all, while he certainly cared for them and would go out of his way to assist them, he would do such a thing for a complete stranger. There was very little in what made them different from just random people on the street. Perhaps it could be argued he shared more information with these guild mates, but other than that?

As she moved on the conversation, Finn looked up with an inhale of relief. Exhaling slowly, as if to allow all those negative thoughts to take their time leaving, he smiled at her and sat back in his seat. "Sounds good to me. If you say so she must be a pretty good person." Though he and Alisa had not shared all their most intimate secrets, he was not so oblivious as to remain in the dark of all her quirks. She was not comfortable around large crowds, nor was she too receptive to strangers in small doses. For this person to have gotten to know her well enough to be invited to the guild, they must be an interesting individual indeed.

Their eyes had met for them to exchange a few words. As she winked and chuckled, Finn's cheeks tinted a delicate rose color as he nervously laughed. Hand going behind his head and ruffling the back of his hair, he shrugged. "I'm not sure I can make Magnolia much more than what it is though," he said with a sigh, looking out at the park before them. "Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful place. I like the nature, and the park gives me a feeling of home in a weird sense... Though home was never this organized." His voice trailed off with a bit of a stale undertone, as if criticizing how well kept the area was.

Before he could continue on with his complaints, she handed the sculpture she had made. He looked at the dog that was depicted, elegant and howling at an unseen moon. Offering a quick laugh, Finn rested it on his lap and placed both hands on it. "Thanks... Jake might be a little jealous when he sees that you prefer other dogs, though." With a laugh, he could practically imagine Jake beginning to defend himself. "I'm noble! I'm handsome! I can be sculpted!" Likely not the exact words he'd use, but Finn wasn't the best at putting his own thoughts into Jake's words, even if they were never made audibly and kept within his head.

"Well what would you be feeling up to? I leave any and all plans up to you, I'm no good at that junk."

Following his gaze half the time as she was, Alisa naturally picked up a change in his demeanor, especially with the way he looked down and away from her in what almost looked like shame. As for the reason why, she could only hazard guesses... Perhaps he regretted not being able to keep his partner from getting hurt? She knew how kind and helpful he was, but even then It came as a fresh reminder of how even though they knew each other better than most other guildmates, all of that paled in comparison to what they didn't know.

Well, she'd figure it out eventually as they grew closer, she always did...

Truly, more than the cold logic she often relied on, Alisa trusted her instincts more often than not when growing close to others, trying to feel whether she could trust people based on whatever vibes she did get. Those instincts hadn't failed her with Finn, and just like he himself said, they had yet to fail her with Marina either. However, she hadn't known the latter for nearly as long, so it would still take quite some time before Alisa trusted her in full.

On the other hand, this artist was pretty shallow. For all her trust issues, a beautiful visage could melt through her apprehension far more easily... Cute looks like the blush on his face:

"Well, I guess that explains your reasons for spending so little time at the guild~", she chuckled teasingly, thinking back to how neat and organized the Guild Hall was. After all she always suspected there was more to his absence than an unyielding passion for adventure - like aimless wandering was for her - something like truly feeling at home in the wilderness, "You should tell me more about your home sometimes."

...Though as she gave him the little statuette, she couldn't help but chuckle again at the answer: Jake had looked pretty confident so far, but she hadn't pegged him for the jealous type. Other than that, she knew even less about his past than she knew about Finn's. She did know the two of them were like two peas in a pod, how she'd expect a pair siblings might be. They must have been partners for a long time... She also knew he had a rare form of magic. And now she had a decent idea of just how proud he was.

Fortunately, she also knew just the solution for that:

"Well, I can sculpt his bust one of these days, sounds like he'd enjoy that very much.", suggested the sculptress, petting the Litwick sitting on her lap before running her hands down her dress to smooth out the kinks. But Finn returned the ball back to her side almost as quickly as she passed it. Unfortunately for them, both Pegasus were clearly the type to go with the flow as opposed to those who plan everything out...

Crossing her arms under her bust, Alisa raised one hand to her cheek and rubbed softly, "Hmm, the Fairy Tail guild members have a lot of fun in this city so there must be no shortage of places to see.", she thought out loud half to herself and half to her guildmate, then finally turned back to him with a smile and a raised eyebrow suggestion, "...Maybe we can find something interesting if we explore the forest nearby?", she suggested

"You should visit sometime- My home that is. It's in Worth Woodsea, near its center. If you're ever in the area and you see a house in the trees, shout up for me. If I'm there, I can give you the tour with Jake. We're planning on making our way back soon." As she spoke on of Jake and her lightly teasing response, Finn couldn't help but let a small laugh escape. Jake wasn't one to get easily offended, but he was one to find obscure reasons to pout. It was odd. Knowing him well enough, Finn could tell he didn't do it due to genuine disappointment. The exact reason though was lost on him.

As she spoke of the fairy tail members, Finn crossed his arms and leaned back in the bench. It was true, another light guild called this place home. Finn had not seen many of their members, perhaps none of them. The idea that they were here consistently made him wonder of their guild hall would be a fun place to go. He could try challenging some people there for sparring matches. Maybe they'd accept, maybe they'd laugh him off. It would be better than doing nothing regardless the outcome, and if he let himself become too stir crazy it'd only result in negative consequences.

Her suggestion then came as a positive idea for him. The thought of exploring more of the nature that Magnolia had to offer, however limited, made him excited. It wasn't as if woods were scarce within Fiore. He had seen many of them, traversed them both alone and with others. It was one of the events that one would assume had become boring for Finn, but it was quite the opposite. He loved being in nature, exploring new aspects of it, and getting to interact with people throughout.

For a moment Finn paused, and then a laugh erupted from his lips. Covering his mouth to try and stop it, he quickly found himself unable to do so. Leaning forward, one hand on his knee and the other reaching up to her shoulder, he pat her a couple of times. "Alisa, I just tried to imagine you camping and it was one of the funniest things I've ever thought of," he said between chuckles, sitting back up and wiping tears from his eyes. "Don't get me wrong, you're tough and all. But I know how much you value your appearance too. I just imagine you looking for a shower behind every tree."

With that statement, the chuckles were back as he stood up. Turning towards her and offering her a hand of assistance, he offered a grin. "Lets go!" Regardless of if she allowed him to help her stand, he would begin leading the way towards the forest. He knew of it, and its location. He'd simply not gone yet. It was one of those events in which someone had become so bored that they avoided doing things that would end the boredom. A terrifying paradox that often plagued adventurers, it seemed.

Alisa

WORDS: 340 | TAG: @finn | CLOTHES

A house up in the trees huh? That sounded very much like him indeed, now the question was how long had Finn lived there? Though Alisa was never one to spoil the surprise, so she'd keep those questions in her mind for now: "Sounds like a vacation plan. Who knows, maybe I'll join you next time you head back there.", she nodded, more importantly wondering just what kind of life did they have there. Though right in the middle of untamed lands - with the forest literally right outisde the door - sounded very much like him.

Naturally, her idea of exploring the wielderness grew on him quickly enough, but truly - considering the guild that makes its home here - Magnolia is a good town for those with an adventurous spirit. Personally, Alisa never coped too well with the Fairy Tail guild hall; far too noisy for her... Finn, however, was different, and she had no doubt he might enjoy himself if he visited the guild hall. But she figured the forest would prove an ideal place to get started.

Immersed as she was in thoughts of the quest to come, his laughter caught her off guard, prompting Alisa to raise an eyebrow as she looked at him in confusion. Only to chuckle and smirk confidently at his words: "Oho, am I being underestimated~?", indeed to Alisa, this sounded almost like a playful challenge from the outdoor loving boy, "Well, you can see for yourself, if we ever camp out together."

Though he had a point, she wouldn't go camping if she could avoid it. But she also wouldn't shy away from a good time just over a few days outdoors. However, they wouldn't loaf around for much longer as Alisa soon accepted his helping hand and stood back up... As he seemed to be on the right track, Alisa followed right after the blond youth as he lead the way to the forest, and their next adventure.

"Sounds like we're going to have to test it out then," he said with a grin, the joy and amusement being heard in his voice. She was one of the members he was closest with, and after this meeting he felt as if they were actual friends. Not to say that he didn't enjoy her presence before. He also had always given her a certain level of trust. To say that they were friends before now though would be quite the statement, considering they hadn't particularly bonded before as they did now. Unlike before, there was no sense of awkwardness between them. They shot back and forth with comments and enjoyed each others presence fully.

As they made their way from the area, he wondered whether or not they'd ever get the chance to take on a larger challenge together. They had always been in talks of doing something together. A quest or an adventure, finding a dungeon or job that pushed them both to their limits. Neither one of them knew if it'd ever happen, but the world had a tendency to act crazy. For all they knew, there was something coming up soon. Something that would force them both to act, and something that would put them both at risk.

Until then though, they would both be doing their own thing.
