Another sunny day... Seems Autumn was taking a while to get settled in, a blessing Alisa relished every day it showed its face. Truly this was just the right amount of heat for her, summer often proved too much for her fair skin. But of course, every silver lining has a cloud, and not even a literal one. Looking around as she shielded her eyes from the sun's gentle rays, the first sight before Alisa was the amount of people with the same idea as her. Typical...

She steered clear of the clouds at a calm, walking pace, for once not even needing to fan herself and keep cool. A soothing breeze took care of that. Her aimless avoidance took her towards the same garden as last time, where she promprly sat down by the fountain, crossed her legs, and produced a small and jagged, orb like crystal.

Just like she always did, Alisa was completely absorbed in her sculpting. This was the one time when the keen radar that were her senses shut down for a little while, with nothing standing between herself and the somewhat jagged crystal mass in her hands. The pale blue crystal offered little resistance to the mage's art, her fingers shaving away at it like mere clay, so much one might be fooled into not really understanding what exactly she was carving...

And as time went on, the sculpture gradually took on a bird like shape...

As Assama looked around the park, a woman with dark hair caught her eye. Or more, it was what she was doing that caught her eye. She was sculpting something made out of crystal, something that looked roughly avian. The fact that it was made out of crystal was most interesting to Assama though. Usually when she saw people making sculptures (which was rarely, only if she happened to pass by a studio) they were making their sculptures out of clay. Curious, Assama walked over to her and peered at her sculpture. "What are you making?" she asked, hopefully not surprising the sculptress.

She shaved and molded the pale, shimmery crystal, steadily defining and detailling its shape, to the point one might see it had an elongated neck. Indeed the sculptress held on to a firm mental image, the most beautiful swan who made its home in the lake, a bit deeper into this very same garden. Eventually, she not only caught the eye of a rather beautiful girl but teased her curiosity enough for her to come over:

"Ara, hello there.", with a radiant, welcoming smile, Alisa greeted the pretty pinkette before her, her ears sharp enough to hear her footsteps before the girl eventually spoke, "It's a swan. Did you see them swimming in the lake back there...? Truly elegant creatures."

Seeing pink haired girls was pretty rare but as of late she seemed to be running into more and more and them. Seemed like a new fad maybe? For a woman whose hair was do dark most dyes couldn't really stick, she had a particularly deep admiration for girls with lighter unusual shades. She usually didn't care much for being interrupted while working, but her love of beauty spoke louder and plus, the young woman seemed gentle enough...

Assama thankfully didn't surprise the sculptress. In fact, she seemed completely calm when when Assama walked by. She said that she was making a swan and asked if she saw them swimming in the lake not too far back and called them elegant creatures. "Oh yeah, they are, aren't they." She didn't get to see any swans in Orchidia or much of any avian at that matter. Orchidia was chiefly a town thickly composed of an assortment of people.

"You know, I haven't seen anyone make sculptures out of crystal before," Assama commented. It was a beautiful material, much prettier than clay. Assama would choose a crystal sculpture over clay pottery any day, but it made her wonder how she got that crystal and why she crafted with such ease in the park. Assama didn't know much about sculpting, but she would have thought that it would be easier to do so in a studio where tools were all around.

The tasteful young woman naturally agreed, unsuprisingly as she did display a good eye for beauty. She then pointed out how most sculpturs used more malleable materials like clay, Alisa simply chuckled with one hand covering her mouth, "I don't doubt that.", she nodded in agreement, levitating the small sculpure a few inches off her hand with the manipulation part of her magic, showing a hint of confidence and pride in her own skillset, "...But then other people aren't me.", and as she said this, she warped the incomplete sculpture slightly, dismantling and reforming the crystal with a crackling sound. Reshaping the rough swan's flanks, she stretched and spread them out so those pieces could now become upwards arching wings, ready to take flight.

Certain this display had been enough to satisfy the girl's curiosty, Alisa looked back into her eyes with a yearning to placate her own, "What's your name? I'm Alisa.... Alisa Vollan", elegantly giving her name, patting the bench next to her and winking, inviting her to sit down instead of standing around, "If you want, you can have this one once im done sculpting it it."

The woman found it no surprise that she was the first Assama had seen to sculpt crystal. Then, she made the crystal sculpture levitate and Assama became instantly aware that she was doing it through the usage of some form of crystal magic. She then manipulated the sculpture to make it even more to her liking. It was even more beautiful with the wings extended like that.

To Assama's surprise, the woman introduced herself as Alisa Vollan and asked Assama what hers was. "My name's Assama Sinclair," she responded. Alisa then patted a spot on the bench for her to sit down on and so she did. Alisa then asked if Assama would like to have the sculpture once she was done with it. "Really? Thanks!" Assama shouldn't have been that surprised. With crystal magic Alisa could make a sculpture like that any time she wanted. "How long have you been sculpting?" Assama inquired. Maybe it was ever since she got her crystal magic. Maybe she liked sculpting before she got magic and that was the reason she took up crystal magic. Maybe it was just a coincidence that she got her magic with the complementary liking for sculpture. Who knew?

"Assama... Pretty name for a beautiful girl.", Alisa complimented, remembering her name like she did everytime she met someone particularly good looking. Her appreciating response earned her a soft chuckle as she sat down, eagerly waiting for the sculpress' work to be done.

The not-so-older woman didn't seem the least bit troubled with continuing her work while engaging in casual chatter with a new admirer, on the contrary. Her hands worked as if they had a mind of their own, her fingers staying right where they needed to be inn what could only be a result of many years doing the exact same thing. Quite the opposite, talking to the girl for whom she was sculpting helped her carve it faster, and with a better attention towards what she might like. The pale crystal gradually gained a deeper shade of pink, almost matching the girl's hair.

"Mmm, I'd say about eight years or so? It didn't always do it for the sake of art, mind you...", she answered, turning away from the girl's jade eyes and down towards her sculpture comtemplatively, crossing her legs and looking back at her. There was a time when All Alisa did with her crystals were weapons to kill Dark Mages. There wasn't even any beauty about it, just pure hate, and the worst part was, it delighted her, "...But, that's water under the bridge."

It was an ugly past, and she'd much rather look at the delicate, good-looking present seating next to her...

Assama thanked Alisa for the compliment. To be honest, she couldn't remember the last time someone complemented her name. In fact, most people made fun of the way it was spelled for obvious reasons. Even if she had guessed how her name was spelled, Assama wouldn't think that she would make fun of it. She seemed too nice.

When Assama asked how long Alisa had been sculpting, she said that she'd been doing it for eight years or so. Though she said that she didn't always do it for art. Assama could understand vaguely what she was implying, though she wasn't sure if her suspicions were correct. She wouldn't question her about it though. Instead, she would ask something else. "Since you have magic, do you belong to a guild?"

"Curious, huh~?", Alisa teased Assama's endless questioning, though she didn't mind being an open book for once, she'd defenitely point out the other person's flattering interest, "...But you guessed right. Im from Blue Pegasus.", she answered, reflexively resting our hand over her midriff, where the guild brand rested beneath her blouse.

There were of course, details of her life she wouldn't willingly spill no matter how beautiful the questioner might be... But Assama had yet to reach that point and probably wouldn't. She looked polite and capable of conversing without ever being inappropriate. Something even Alisa herself might fail at for time to time.

"What about you...? I wouldn't be surprised if you had magic too. You're good looking enough to be in Blue Pegasus as well.", Alisa shot the question back with a another playful wink, she herself curious regarding the girl

Indeed talked about guilds with too much familiarity, just like the reaction when Alisa fiddled with the crystal before her eyes. She was defenitely comfortable around magic, something really common in fellow mages, not so much with non magic using civilians. At this point, the swan was almost complete, as in, anyone would be able to recognize it as such, yet Alisa was still working: smoothing, detalling, all in all making her sculpture more and more lifelike as time went on...

After Alisa teased Assama a bit, she told Assama that she had guessed right about her being in a guild. She was a member of Blue Pegasus. That was actually very fitting for Alisa. She certainly looked and acted the part. Even her magic complemented Blue Pegasus' stereotype.

Alisa then asked Assama the same thing, also saying that she wouldn't be surprised if Assama had magic as well. She then said that Assama was pretty enough to be in Blue Pegasus herself. Assama gave a small chuckle and said, "Thanks, but Lamia Scale's more up my alley," she said, pulling down her shirt just a bit revealing her own tattoo. "I actually use a... kind of wind magic." It wasn't lie, but it wasn't the whole truth either and Assama would prefer that her magic remained a secret until... well... she didn't exactly know yet. Perhaps if she became a well known mage her magic too would become known, but until then, she wouldn't just go off telling anyone that she was a Sky Dragon Slayer. Heck, she didn't even tell her own guild mates that yet. Ironically, she's only told a fellow Dragon Slayer. Though looking back on it, it would have been wise to tell the truth, but that was in the past.

A Lamia huh? Well, they were another Light Guild - One of the three great Light Guilds alongside Fairy Tail and Blue Pegasus - so it really came down to a matter of personal taste and life choices. However, most people tend to associate Lamia Scale with fighting nuts (even Alisa was tempted to join them a few years ago) which Assama defenitely didn't look like, "Ah, Lamia Scale... I considered joining your guild once, back when Getting stronger was my main concern.", it still was a big priority for Alisa, just not the only one. The quiet, classy envoiroment of Blue Pegasus eventually attracted her more, for how easy it was to transition from the life of a lone wanderer to a Guild Mage. Pulling down her shirt, she revealed her tattoo to Alisa, a favor the latter didn't return, not now anyways. She wasn't really shy about unbuttoning her blouse halfway just for that, but it was far from an elegant thing to do with so many men walking around.

But then, Assama's following statement was far more interesting: "Hoo...? That's an curious statement if I ever heard one~", Alisa pointed out, quirking an eyebrow and fixing her inquisitive look on the pinkette. She obviously didn't want to get into any details, not unlike how the crystal mage didn't want to discuss her dark past with someone she'd just met... Thus, she let the topic drop with that, "I'd ask you what you mean by 'a kind' but then you don't like you're ready to discuss that with someone you'd just met."

With this she turned back to her swan for a short while, making sure the details were all coming along as she wanted them... Confirming it, she turned back to Assama, "Just a while longer... It's almost done."

Assama was surprised that Alisa considered joining Lamia Scale. From what she observed, she was the perfect fit for Blue Pegasus, but given what she had hinted on earlier and now saying that she wanted to join Lamia Scale when she was focused on getting stronger, Assama could start piecing her story together. She was sure though that it would take a while to understand Alisa's history completely. Perhaps she would never even get to figure her out.

When Assama mentioned that she had a certain 'kind' of wind magic Alisa became instantly intrigued. She, of course, asked what 'kind' of magic she was talking about. "Oh, it's just like normal wind magic but with some unique properties to it, no more special than your crystal magic." That was more of a lie, or as Assama liked to refer to it, as 'stretching the truth.'

The swan was turning out beautifully. It was amazingly accurate and looked like it would take a considerably large amount of time more to craft it without the use of magic. "It looks really great so far," Assama complemented. "Do you often sculpt like this just for fun?" Given her level of talent, she wouldn't be surprised if Alisa sold these sculptures as a side job, a quick way to make cash when there weren't many requests at the guild hall.

Assama's answer wasn't really an answer per se, and the girl probably knew it, she looked like the smart type. It further solidified Alisa's belief that the girl was really comfortably talking it it, at least not to her, which was understandable. As for Alisa, letting others know what kind of magic she had wouldn't really compromise her: Her fighting style was less about her breed of magic but rather what she could do with it, "I guess every magic is special in its own way, some just seem less so owing to how commonly they show up.", with a concluding statement, she let the subject drop for now, shelving it for when the two might know each other a bit better.

"Thank you~", there was the faintest hint of a blush on Alisa's cheeks; clearly someone liked being praised by beautiful people, "And yes I do.", with a confident nod and an answer that was almost automatic, Assama would know her words were right on the money, "Lovely way to pass the time wouldn't you agree?"

And with this and one final line along the swan's wings, the sculpture was complete. She Hovered it off her hand a bit, slowly spinning it arouna and inspecting the figurine from every angle. It wasn't really perfect yet but if she went for absolute perfection she'd never produce more than one sculpture a day. Now that it was good enough for both girls' tastes, she finally presented it to Assama, animating the crystal and letting it fly by itself to Assama's lap, before returning to the original shape Alisa has sculpted, exactly as she did it.

"There you go~"

It seemed like Alisa's gift of sculpting only took her so far as to take up free time. Though Assama had to admit, if Alisa did sell her sculptures, it would take the joy out of it, now that she thought about it. Not all the joy, but some. Assama for one would like to do what she loved just because she could, not because she could make money off of it.

Assama waited while Alisa completed her sculpture. She made the crystalline swan hover in the palm of her hand, turning around in a complete circle so that she could examine it from all angles. Satisfied, she had the swan flutter down into Assama's lap. "It's beautiful! Thank you so much," Assama exclaimed as she held the swan, letting the light catch the crystals in such a way that it made it seem even more magical than it already was. Her excitement was short lived though. "And I don't have anything for you," she said with a slight frown. "Can I treat you to anything?" Assama asked, hoping that she could repay Alisa, even if it was as simple at getting hot cocoa.

The girl marvelled at Alisa's sculpture while the sculptress marvelled at the girl's reaction, holding the small swan under the sun's rays and better inspicting the dazzling light show as sunbeams phased through it. Even Alisa would have found it hard not to had she not done so before, but the looks of people who appreciated her art... That too was just as worth admiring, if not more so .

[b][color=violet]"It's okay, you don't really need to pay me.", Alisa waved her hand in calm dismissiveness, hoping Assama wouldn't really feel obligated. But then she suggested a different kind of payment, and once she could defenitely get behind. After that work she could defenitely grab something to eat, particularly something tasty, [b][color=violet]"Well... If you really insist, who am I to say no~?", and then a smile and another wink, [b][color=violet]"What do you have in mind?"

Alisa might have suggested a nearby Pâtisserie, but for once she just looked at Assama expectantly, pretty much deciding it was the girl's turn to impress her.

At first, Alisa said that no payment was necessary, but when Assama offered to treat her to something she gave in. However, she wanted to know what Assama had in mind. "Come on, it's my treat for you. You should decide," Assama protested. Alisa could choose anything she'd like, but with one exception. "Just don't choose anything too expensive. I don't really have as much money as most Blue Pegasus mages." She was sure that Alisa was used to luxurious and expensive things, but Assama nor her wallet were used to it either. So, they would have to go for something that fell somewhat under Alisa's expectations.

Not so unexpectedly, Assama shot the question right back to her, and in the end she did have a point. It was her reward, after all, so she'd need to have a right to choose. While she understood the reasoning, she was a lot more curious towards sampling the Lamia girl's tastes as opposed than just doing her own thing like she did every other day. Thus, after a short moment of glancing upwards in consideration, she turned back to her new friend, "Surprise me~", was all she said, resting her hand on ther girl's shoulder before standing up, "Don't worry, I've already seen you have good taste."

She hoped Assama would agree this time, she seemed perhaps a little self conscious about it? It was clear that Alisa had already picked her reward and at least this way the pinkette could guarantee it wouldn't be too heavy on her wallet.

Much to Assama's disappointment, Alisa told Assama to surprise her. She was about to protest one more time but Alisa ended up saying for her not to worry and told her that she had good taste. "Thanks," Assama said with a smile. She pondered for a few moments, trying to think of a place to take Alisa. "There's a place not too far from here that had some tarts and macarons in the window," she offered. If Alisa agreed, which Assama assumed she would, she would begin to lead Alisa to the little quaint shop that was no more than a block away from where the park was.

Unlike Assama, Alisa was visibly happy when the girl yielded to her request and decided to take her somewhere of her choosing. The sculptress had shown the pinkette what her personal taste was all about, it was only fair her reward would be a glimpse of hers. Alisa was really big on balance in every relationship, even with a freshly made friend. "Macarons huh... Color me interested. Lets head there, shall we?", the Pegasus nodded as she thought about how many places she had that sold those, but how so few knew how to bake them right. Surprisingly she had yet to go to any such place here in Crocus, and wondered how their pastry skills would fare.

Certainly they wouldn't disappoint.

Thus, she walked along with Assama towards the place of her choosing, only to quickly find herself bored by the silence. Thus, she picked another conversation topic: "By the way... How's life inside Lamia scale?", Alisa inquired, hoping this topic would be more inside Assama's comfort zone.

Assama was glad that Alisa was interested in the place she had suggested. Who could resist macarons? Assama knew she couldn't. She almost went inside of the shop to buy one but decided to go to the park first. Now, she would be buying one for herself and Alisa, and maybe some other sweets while she was at it.

They had almost arrived at the tiny shop when Alisa asked Assama how her life inside of Lamia Scale was. "Oh," she said, surprised by her question. She supposed that she shouldn't have been that surprised since Alisa too was part of a light guild, but Assama thought that if any topic came up, it would be about where they were going. "Life is good there. I really like it. I've met new people, gotten stronger, and I'm even traveling for the first time." She did technically 'travel' from Myras to Orchidia, but that was more of a necessity in Assama's opinion. Going from Orchidia to Crocus and beyond was traveling Assama actually wanted to do. "I guess I could ask the same for Blue Pegasus. I hear it's rather luxurious there."

Assama looked oddly surprised at the conversation topic, indeed Alisa would rather savor the surprise when she got to the place in question instead of bombarding the girl with questions and spoiling it. Plus, as she had once considered joining Lamia she was natually interested in how it was to be a part of it. She naturally liked it, and said it was a good place to meet people and get stronger, "I don't doubt that the least bit.", Alisa chuckled, thinking back to her guild's reputation.

Blue Pegasus wasn't the kind of place you to in search of power, "It is. It's not a Guild you join for the sake of getting stronger, even though you can... Most mages who join it do so in search of like minded people with similar standards for beauty and artistic panache.", she explained with a visible glimmer in her eyes. It was the only place she could call home since losing her original one...

That said, it wasn't as if she had completely abandoned her quest for power, she just preferred to follow that path on her own. Even then, Blue Pegasus strove for excellence in its members' magical abilities, withb etter built training grounds than any other guild.

"You should come and visit one day.", Alisa would hand out a radiant invitation, "The first time you walk in, it feels just like a mix between art gallery and lounge bar."

When Assama mentioned Blue Pegasus being known for its luxury and elegance, Alisa replied saying that Blue Pegasus was not a guild to join for the main purpose of getting stronger. It was more of a guild for "like-minded people," as Alisa put it, with "similar standards for beauty and artistic panache." Spoken like a true Pegasus. She then invited Assama to come and visit the guild some day. Apparently the guild hall was a combination of an art gallery and a lounge bar. "Maybe when I'm passing by. It sounds pretty nice," the Lamia said. She had never been inside of another guild hall before and didn't know what it would be like if she did go into one. She hadn't seen anyone but Lamia Scale members go into her own guild hall. Maybe it was different for other guilds.

They reached the patisserie and walked inside. "You can choose anything you want," Assama said, gesturing to all the multicolored sweets and pastries.
