CapeIt all began in the early morning. A sunny day in the midst of the spring season. In one of the hamlets that occupied the Isle of Erin a traveler had been seated in a tavern, holding a goblet of ale in her hands while her cloak obscured most of her features.
Across from her was an elderly man, counting what appeared to be the jewels in a small purse he was holding above the table in front of him. "Seems to check out, I'll tell ya the tale then as you wanted:"
The figure nodded its head lightly.
"Well where shall I begin... Ya heard of that one civil war right? The one they call the: The Rift War?"
The figure nodded, inquiring with a hint of curiosity. "Why did they call it that?" The elderly man frowned, stroking his beard. "Seems it was because the war was caused by this huge gaping hole in the fabric of reality, ya know that same rift that was supposedly the reason them Faeries went off to god knows where?"
Interesting, so the war was tied to the reason the Fae folk had gone missing? "Anyways, it all began during the reign of Queen Arwen Pendragon..."
