The Guardia Compagnia Guild Master was out and looking over Baska, making sure the home turf was safe. He saw the difference in people. Some were at ease for the town finally having their own guild, while others were uneasy about it, realizing it is not a guild recognized by the Magic Council. Which indeed did give them leeway to do evil if the so wished. Tamas was a neutral man. Money talked. But so far no one really asked them to do evil. Truthfully he prefered if that was not the case. As in, he hoped no one would make him do evil against this place. He wished for this place to be safe and for his guild to be safe. Tamas knew if the guild accumulated too much infamy, it would be seen as a Dark Guild by the Magic Councils stanadards and thus everyones standards. Which would paint a target on them

The new guild on the western horizon that opened up in the similar time as them was Phantom Lord and he didnt like them. A suspicious hunch was to be had. But he knew an up and coming guild would want to prove themselves. And who to mess but with neighbour. Geographically they had some distance between them and a forest that seperated them. Baska was closer to Astera, while Oak was closer to Sieghart Mountains. And he knew what was in Sieghart. Everyone knew.

Phantom Lord gave him all the more reason to protect this town. He wanted to keep the place safe from them and his guild, his family safe. Now as Tamas patrolled, he saw a man commit a robbery. Stolen jewerly. He wondered how common was this. But now was not the time to ponder, but to act. So Tamas hurried onward to chase the man as the vendor yelled "STOP THIEF"

Tamas was way ahead of the vendor who had just yelled and started the chase with the thief. He wanted to get him before the thief can shake him off. But if there was one thing that was for sure, Tamas was surprisingly fast for a man who carried a huge sword and a suit of armour. Holding his blade and charging at the thief, he was a terrifying sight to be seen. As people associate armour with clunkiness and slowness. But thats because they equate battle armour to jousting armour. So people are surprised to see that a knight in clad armour can be fast and athletic.
The chase would eventually end and Tamas would manage to tackle the thief and apprehend him. But he had no handcuffs or something the authorities had. Just his own bare hands. So he took the stolen goods from the thief and swung the man over his shoulder

Tamas walked over to the vendor who was confused at what was going on. Seeing a huge knight carry over a thief who's trying to wiggle off his shoulder, while dragging a heavy sword. Tamas stabs the sword in the ground
"Do not be horrified. The sword will be fine" Tamas spoke as he knew some people would cringe at a sword being lodged in the ground
"Thats not what Im horrified of" the man would say as he watched this bizzare sight.
Tamas reached for the stolen goods and handed it over to him
"There. Here are all your belongings" Tamas spoke as he gave away everything
"There is a ring missing"
Tamas looked slowly to the theif who was also now horrified. The Guild Master grabbed the man and started shaking him as all other kinds of stuff fell down. Including the ring that was stolen
"Better"
"Thank you" the vendor still not sure how to feel

"Be not afraid" Tamas spoke to the man, trying to reassure him that he is friendly indeed. He was not sure if it worked, but he knew now that he needed to take the thief away. So he took his sword and continued to carry the thief like a sack of potatoes to the authorities
"I shall take you to the authorities. As my guild is new, we did not make a dungeon just yet."
The thief looks like that he dodged a bullet, but still has that cold sweat as he fears for his life.

But Tamas just carried the man towards the authorities with no care in the world. When he saw a Rune Knight, he walked over to him and informed him of everything that had transpired and trusted the man to take care of the criminal. He would contine his duty

Tamas would continue to patrol. Still dutiful as ever, making sure no criminal scum would evade him. Though something came to mind. He needed to work on magic. His spells. Definitelly food for thought for later. But he'd need to find an advisor who is skilled at magic. He was not sure who was his go to spell maker, but he needed guild spells.

That thought got shoved for later when someone interrupted him. Not knowing who he was or what he was. Talks and whispers about him doing a job. He was being recruited for petty crime. And Tamas knew there was no coin to be had from such a lowlife so he did the most logical thing. Apprehend the criminal and take him to the authorities. The crime? Conspiring to do crime and coercion to do crime. He was no lawyer but he was sure the authorities would work it out

Again it was better to take evildoers to an authority. Imagine if his guild had the dungeon ready. Like their jailor would be having a blast torturing people. He did wonder where his daemon friend was. Durkos to be exact. Come to think of it, he had many daemon friends. He wondered if that was a sort of a sign to him

In any case, he found the rune knight again, who was starting to be bewildered by the sight
"Petty criminal trying to coerce innocents to do crime. Thank me later" Tamas who was short and to the point spoke and handed over the man,to the rune knight who was done apprehending the previous fella.
The Rune Knight didnt even have a chance to speak and just did what this guild master told him

"Two for two. Hopefully the rest of patrol turns out to be more peaceful"

Tamas walked around Baska enjoying the place, seeing how it is relatively peaceful. He was happy all was well. The place was quaint and deserved something good. Tamas hoped his guild would be the 'something good' he was thinking of.

Only now as he patrolled did he realize that there was actually a garrison of Rune Knights here. Perhaps because this place lacked a guild of its own, Rune Knights were placed here. Though in his opinion, they were not needed anymore. He was here to protect this land. His guild was.

Still he was proud that he was able to lead a group in his home region. Before he was nothing but a village boy that was used by mercenaries to do their bidding. Now the tables have turned and he was an independent man and a leader. Keeping a town, nay, a region safe from evil. No evildoers will lurk in his presence

Tamas looked at the time, seeing that the sun was starting to set. Normally this is where he should be wary and he was. But he knew that his shift was near an end and someone else would go have a look at the town. But he believed the place was safe.

All he needed to do was gain the peoples trust. He wanted what was best for them. Although he had no idea what to do. He wished to meet a Guild Master. Still he lamented he had not managed to talk to Judith properly. Mentally cursing at Yuurei for ruining it. But he also had not met the Guild Master of the south, only hearing of her assets but not her true personality. He should find a way to meet her. But first he had to make sure not that Baska was safe, but the region as well

Eventually his patrol shift ended and it was time to go back to his guild. Tamas was satisfied, he managed to apprehend two people who did crime and tried to attempt to do crime. He did good in the world which was an odd feeling for him. But satisfying nontheless. He went back to his guild hall and into his room to have some rest. Placing his sword away and taking off his helm so he can breathe properly.
Little did anyone know, it was not easy for him to always be armoured. He gets exhausted too. If he wore lighter armour he'd surely be stronger and faster. But thatd be too easy and he didnt want the easy way.
Anywho the man went to lay on bed after taking off his suit of armour and placing it on a mannekin. This long day has finally came to an end
