Drakkon was back at Talaz Lagaar and he was not excited to be here. Still, he knew this was the best for him and his guild. He had moved around this wretched place as he was heading to the camp where they had secluded the sick. He wondered how long this was going to last, and he was hoping that things would end soon. When he got there, the guards there were surprised that he had come back. They didn’t see him at the beginning of the month, so they thought he wasn’t going to show up. They were wrong, and they would let him. He would nod to them as he would move around the camp.

It would seem like things had changed a bit since he was here last. He wondered if they got more sick people, or if the ones here had died or gotten better. He was looking for the person who always gave him his task here, hoping he didn’t get sick.

Drakkon would continue looking and soon enough he would find the person as he was ordering his group what to do before they separated from him. Drakkon would approach him and the man would notice this. He would smile at him as he was glad that he had shown up.

“You’re here; that’s good, follow me and I can give you your task of helping the people who are sick.” He said as he started walking.

Drakkon smiled because it was all business, which he didn’t mind at all. He would follow the man as they were heading to a tent.

“I thought you got sick, but I’m glad you didn’t.” He said to him.

The man laughed as if it could happen, but he did make sure he was careful not to get the plague that was going around. It wouldn’t take them long, but they would arrive at the tent and he would look at Drakkon.

“Take care of the people here first, there are a few other things I need you to do afterward. I just need to make sure the information is correct before I give this to you. So take care of this for me and I will get back to you alright?” He asked Drakkon wondering what the man would say to him.

Drakkon would hear him and he wouldn’t say anything. Instead, he would just give him a thumbs up and he would enter the tent. He would see that the people in this tent were all sick. It was scary to believe that their numbers weren’t decreasing. Still, it was not something he didn’t care about as it only brought chaos to the world, which is what he wanted.

He was getting paid to mend the situation, which was another thing he cared about. He would sigh as he would start the work that was in front of him.

Drakkon would start with the simple stuff and it was to check the vitals of the people here. He would go to the patients in the room and he would check their heart rate, then inject the medicine that they would need to continue their recovery. He wasn’t done with that as he had changed their IVs so they didn’t have to do this later. Once he made sure that everything was in order with one person, he would move on to the next. It was a repeated process, but the nurses that were here would take too long to arrive. It was the reason they were hiring people outside their homeland for help.

He understood and he was glad he wasn’t doing anything crazy like surgery, or these people were all going to die. It would take a while, due to the number of people in this room, but he would soon finish the first step of his tasks.

Drakkon was on to the next step and it was to clean up every patient in this room. They always gave him the tools to do this, and he would get to work on it without a problem. He would clean up the patient in front of him and once he was done, he would change their clothes, and their bedsheet at the same time. He had to make sure that they were all cleaned, so they wouldn’t catch an infection or anything of the sort.

The Dragon Slayer would move on from one patient to the other as Luci was just on his shoulder watching him. It was interesting, but it didn’t seem like Luci was able to move that far from Drakkon anymore. They were legit inseparable, and Luci was starting to see it. They didn’t talk about it, and Drakkon kept working for the jewels he wanted. After an hour or so, he would be finished with cleaning up every last one of them and changing their sheets.

Drakkon’s final task was to make sure that this whole place was clean. He had made sure that everybody was clean, but it wouldn’t mean anything if the place was dirty. He would get to work on that as it would be something he had gotten used to doing on this island. He would start from the top and then he would make his way down to the bottom. The Dragon Slayer had to make sure that nothing was untouched so that they had no complaints when he was getting his reward for this job. It would take some time, but soon enough he would come to an end. This was not something he expected to work up some sweat, but it did.

He was done with this though, and he would leave the tent and he would see that his client was waiting for him. The man would look inside real quick to make sure everything was in order. When he saw it was to his liking, he would hand Drakkon the jewels that he deserved before deciding to talk to him about the other task at hand.
